Center on Higher Purpose for Unity

The previous two posts spoke about finding unity through working toward a greater purpose. It is not easy to live our lives for a purpose that is beyond ourselves.

Even though it seems that it would be naturally perfect for members of a family to favor their family over other, employees to put the company ahead of themselves, citizens work for the needs of the community and countries put the whole of humanity ahead of themselves, unfortunately, we are beings who are not governed by the impulses of our original godly heart.

We witness harmony in nature, but seldom see it within human life. Even though we are God's greatest creation, people are self-destructive.

When an individual is abused by the collective, this aggravates the fear. 

Unfortunately, unlike nature, people needs constant reminders and incentives in order to maintain the right priorities. On the other hand, the impulse to give to the greater good is also strong.

There is a natural fear to give too much and thus being used, this is counterbalanced by the fear of being useless. It is horrible when one feels they are not needed for beauty, goodness and truth in the world.

Being of service to others, being allied with an important end is a fundamental need.

A person feels their value is derived in general not only from personal integrity and the affection of loved ones, but also from having an 'objective worth', a value that comes from benefiting the public good.

Eleanor Roosevelt commented about citizenship:

“When you cease to make a contribution, you begin to die.”

Many have come to realize this truth from experience through combating sadness or stagnation. Therefore, they actively reach out to help someone else instead of wallow in their own world.

Such people know that as long as they pursue happiness or personal growth it will elude them; only when they give to service to a greater goal do these blessings find them.

The heart and conscience pushes each of us to give our time, energy and heart for a worthy purpose. They push us to be like the wax of the candle that gives itself to sustain the light and warmth of the flame.

Humanity has too often denied God's concerns and welfare of the whole for its own petty interests.

To reverse this wrong direction, sometimes the heart and conscience call people to deny themselves to an extraordinarily degree.

Who can explain the course which Mohandas Gandhi gave of himself? Such a sacrifice of sacrifice of self confounds worldly thinking.

There is clearly a deep joy that rewards those who have killed their smaller selves in order to become a part of a greater endeavor.

Relationship as Higher Purpose

The most basic shared projects is the relationship itself.

Members of the family, teammates and business partners often wisely sacrifice for the sake of their alliance, for the 'we-ness”.

This 'we-ness' has a vitality that depends on how much the participants favor the interest of the relationship over their own personal interests to reach their personal goals and meet the individual needs through the relationship instead of around or in spite of it. Any sports team that is good, understands this.

“In order to have a winner, the team must have a feeling of unity,” says legendary University of Alabama Coach Paul “Bear” Bryant. “Every player must put the team first—ahead of personal glory.”

People who have been married for a while know this too. They make many sacrifices for the marriage. When a couple makes love within a caring marriage, this is a metaphor for such an idea.

Each partner seeks to satisfy the other and ultimately come to surrender to their higher union.

Rather than lose anything in this surrender, each person gains deep joy and a meaningful connection through it.

In families that are resilient, researcher and counselor Ross Campbell fond that there is an overarching moral or spiritual purpose that binds the members together.

It is a paradox that centering on something higher than the family also strengthens the bonds within the family itself.

A family finds they have a rapport with one another when they give their time and energy to others through altruism such as helping out the neighbors, hosts guests or volunteering for the community.

Such families build 'social capital' as Robert D. Putnam, Harvard University, states is the connection with and good will of neighbors which enhances the family's well-being and helps, supports, and gives strengthen when they are in need of it.

Daniel and Lai-Cheng's family is bound through a patriotic purpose. They are oftentimes hundreds of miles apart. Daniel is in the British Royal Air Force which calls him to leave for about nine months out of the year. Even though Lai-Cheng struggles like all military wives to care for her three young children on a budget and alone, she shares her husband's commitment to her country just as if she was in the service.

She is proud of the example Daniel is setting for the children, to live for something beyond themselves.

She understands that in order for her husband to be happy, he has to have the kind of work he loves.

When he is home, he cares for his children and gives his wife a break from her strenous routine. When he is away, they stay in regular contact.

Lai-Cheng remarks, “I think it works because even though we are often apart and do different things, I know we

are both willing to do whatever it takes to achieve what we want: a family that cares for each other and serves our country.”

Family has become its own island for many, a haven set apart from the wider world. This position impoverishes both home and community and places impossible demands on the nuclear family to meet all the members' needs.

Also, the Western viewpoint of romantic love is too thin for a foundation of lasting love and care for children.

There is a constant questions of “Am I happy? Is this meeting my needs?” This strains the bond and places the cart before the horse.

When the relationship itself and the public purpose is ideally honored first, this nourishes and fortifies the participants' attachment to one another.

God is the Center of Love

God is the center and subject of true love for eternity. 

While living the religious way of life, if you knew about the suffering you would have to face, would you refuse to go any further when you met such hardships?

Maybe you could think that your suffering is nothing compared to the suffering God has had to endure for thousands of years when He lost His children.

Who put God in the suffering position: God Himself or man?

God suffers because of the disobedience of man.

Yet, God does not blame man at all.  He takes the beatings and still tries to save man from his wretched position he has fallen.  When we understand God's miserable position, how can we refuse to go this difficult path of carrying our own cross?

We should think that even if death comes to us, that we will be able to praise God for His faith and endurance.  We should see that we have received little persecution compared to Him. That should be everyone's position.

Is it better to give up when it is difficult, or to comfort God and tell Him you understand his suffering and you will bear His burden as His representative and suffer on His behalf?

God is the subject and master of all of creation, the King of the universe, yet He has never once claimed His authority over everyone.  Instead, He gave us choice, free will to either serve Him or not.  This is evidence to the true greatness of God.

God is always trying to reach us, but Satan set up blockades.  

God has no way to communicate directly with His people and give His true love.

God has been suffering in this way without having honor or fame.  He waits for the moment of victory when He could have give and take with the center of true love.

This is not just a fantasy or a speech.

Think about it.  Throughout history, God has been rejected, deceived, betrayed by many, many people, yet He still believes and has hope to find the true one, the Messiah.

In order to communicate and have a mutual understanding of God, you must suffer and really pursue the same tasks as God has done.  How else will you have a true relationship with God? When such a person appears, He does not inherit everything at once.

There is no easy way to reach out to the center of true love; it is a road of suffering and pain. 

Even if you meet God without following the path of suffering, you would feel uncomfortable instead of happy because God was unable to fully open His heart all the way to you.  Therefore, the road to the center of love is a thorny one.

When we stand before true love, we must be conscious of how we appear in front of it.  Are we mediocre, do we love our spouse with a pure mind, do we have lukewarm love toward our children, or do we perform our church mission with half a heart?  This evaluation of ourselves in front of love is a serious thing.

You should not feel that you are ever alone, or by yourself in this dispensation.  

If the entire world becomes your enemy, but you know that this is the only way you can acquire the center of true love, nothing will stop you. This path that you walk while trying to reach the center of true love will destroy all your dignity and honor at once to make you humble, but for true love you still go in this way.  You must be willing to go this way even if you must lose everything in the process.

If you were to fail along the way, at least you can tell God that you never left this true path.  When you go with this attitude, there is no way you will betray God or give up.  Not even death will stop you from accomplishing the goal of obtaining true love.

If you have any thoughts of betrayal, this is the best time to repent.  We see people complain about the smallest things everyday, and they must repent for that.

First, check which -ism you have; second, you should check what love you have.

If you want to be linked to the center of love, you should already possess love within yourself.  Your love should be linked to the center.  

Adam and Eve should have served God, their Father, during the engagement period before they joined to Lucifer to have their family.

During the time of engagement, a couple should be careful how they relate to one another.  This time is for getting closer and love the Parent, God first.  It is fine to care for one another, but the way you communicate to one another is very important.

 Again, to reach the central true love a period of discipline is necessary. 

This is not a technique to make things difficult for people waiting to get married.  This is the shortest route to true love, and the best way to link to the center of love.

Third is position. Who owns your husband or wife? God is actually loaning you the person who is your husband or wife. Since their true owner is God, unless you are united in God's love there is no way you can have partnership with your mate. 

When you look at your husband or wife, look at him or her as being in God's position, on loan to you, and not your private property. Since you are united in one love with God and love Him most, you can love the person in God's position, your husband or your wife. That is natural. Then you can love them as much as you love God.

Some people coming to the Unification Church might see someone they think would be a good mate for them, but then they are matched with a person they consider insignificant.

How can they deal with the situation? Some of those people are conditional followers, who accept the Divine Principle, but not our way of marriage.

Without Principle there is no marriage, and without marriage there is no Principle. 

The two are one, all following the center of true love. In some rare cases people might wish their fiancée would die in the three years before the wedding comes so they can get another match.


Dr. Rev. Sun Myung Moon explains complaints of the matching for arranged marriages:

Why do I assume the heavy responsibility of matching everyone? I get no money or fee like any other professional. All the criticism comes to me while all the happy couples feel they are lucky and are not grateful enough to the True Parents. 

Why should I volunteer?

When I am matching people I can see their futures and what kind of life they will lead. Some people will have tragedy in their life, and in order to prevent such tragedy I must match them with certain types of people. I am not just looking at people horizontally, but vertically.

I have a philosophy of balance in matching, a harsh person needs to be balanced with someone softer needs someone strong. In machines, both hard and soft metals are needed to complement each other. 

People look only at the surface appearance in evaluating people, but a pretty woman and a handsome man together may lose everything and leave nothing behind.

In matching people I try to make a permanent base. I match from the viewpoint of central true love. Sometimes my methods look strange, or labyrinthine, and you can't see the light at the end of the tunnel. But if the end result will be true love, I will go that way.

I have been controversial everywhere, in whatever I do, but I never volunteered for that. My goal is not fame; I am only looking at one thing, central true love. I never aimed at knowledge, money or power, but in pursuing true love everything else automatically came to me as a fringe benefit.

People have to recognize that now I am successful from the worldly point of view. If you truly believe in God and know He is almighty, then you have to accept that as naturally being the case. People reject me for many pragmatic reasons and feel threatened by me, but even though they oppose me, their original mind still knows that I am right. 

Suppose I consummated my life here and went to spirit world; God knows more than anyone how I lived to fulfill true love, and He would be the first one to feel I should no longer suffer and be lonely here on earth. At the same time, all people pursuing true love would know my value and would mourn my death.

Even the people who have never seen me on earth can understand true love through my teachings and way of life, and they will come to Belvedere (headquarters) to feel close to me, remembering how I spoke here.

Will they doze off? Why did you come this morning? You want to see central true love.

Why do you need me? I am the bridge which will lead you to the center of true love. Without me you cannot cross the river, so when I am away you want to know where your bridge is. Even if only a handful of people are here, if I am also here then the room feels full, but if I am not present then it feels empty, even if hundreds of people are here.

Once every several thousand years the rope passes overhead. The Unification Church is that rope, so we are the ones who grabbed it first. It is a once-in-a million opportunity, so would you just casually grab it with one hand? Or would you bite it and wind it around and around your body and legs so you can't be separated? 

You all have the rope, so how intensely would you become one with it? You are winding it not only around your body, but around your 360 homes you witness. and even the root of the rope will come down that is Home Church.

The Public Way of Life

Which world do we currently live: the Godly world or satanic world?

Of course, God is the originator of this world, but it was stolen and pushed from its original position of a heavenly culture.

The satanic culture of "me, me, me", and also war and deceit has gone as far as it will go and has now bore fruit.  That world has nothing more to accomplish.

The satanic world has love, but it is definitely not true love.  What God's world center on?  It will center on true love.

The evil world starts in the highest position, but it becomes smaller and smaller and drops down into hell.

On the other hand, God's world starts small, yet it becomes bigger and bigger.  The fallen world was established on a selfish love centered on the individual thinking not based on God's word.

They have enjoyment centered on the self.  Everything is individualistic, including the economy.

Even though it doesn't look like it and it has humble beginnings, God's dispensation is going up.  It does not rise for the individual only, but for the sake of the whole..  This means that the individualistic way of life will come down to hell.  Where else could it go when God's direction is going up?

People of faith start small, but move toward the great, big world of true love.

Evidence in history shows that the selfish way of living will inevitably go down into the bottom of hell.  Even though it looks like evil prospers, it is bound to fall into hell.

The satanic side keeps getting smaller and smaller, step by step losing the family, the clan, the nation and the universe.  This means that those on the side of Satan eventually lose everything.

On the contrary, in God's world, the lower it goes, the bigger it eventually will become, because we live for the sake of everything greater than the individual itself.  This is the public way of life.  You want to stand in love representing the individual family, clan, nation, world and universe.

If the individual in the center representing each level has true love, every realm of ownership is connected.  His ownership is unlimited.  The individual does not own himself, but his own family, nation and so forth.

On the satanic side, you start having everything but everything will be lost one by one.  Until it becomes narrower centered on the individual's thinking and finally everything is lost.

With true love you come to possess the heavenly family, clan and nation, but with satanic love you can have none of those things.  This is happening in America as it declines.

No one owns anything beyond the sphere of the self.

The individual is ultimate; he is number one.

Therefore, the individual demands they have a right to exist as an individual alone and never marry.  This attitude is  never adequate.  Because of this thinking, the American individual denies his brother, sister, his physical parents, and the president and first lady because one claims they have nothing to do with him.

But, when we look from God's point of view: everything has a lot to do with the individual.  As an individual, you represent the family, your clan, your society, your nation, your world and your cosmos.  This is the original purpose for God creating the human family.

When we live this public way of life, this is what we will inherit.  Therefore, we see that the way the individual and world is today is far from God's ideal for humanity.

So, in accordance with God's great will for development, if a group or eventually country replaces the satanic way with God's way, then the earth will come to have meaning.  On the other hand, if humanity continues in the direction it is headed, humankind will reduce down and stop developing.

This is hell.

So any group and nation which diligently works in God's way will eventually replace the satanic way of life.

Everything looks the same, even to a confusing degree, but the origin is clearly different.

Satan started his world centered on his will and ideas as an individual.  On the other hand, God started with everyone in mind, not Himself in mind first.

These are clearly two different beginnings.  So, God ends up in what we call heaven and Satan ends up in a frozen hell.

God's ideal and will is that every person is treated the same and ends up in heaven.  God did not create hell and intend for even one person to live there.

Those who stay in the individualistic realm goes to hell to live for eternity with the individualistic Satan. 

There is only one way for all of us to be able to survive and prosper:  that way is to lead a public life.

This means that every individual invest what you have into another person instead of taking away  what others have.  Satan's motto is to "take away".  The only way Satan survives is by God giving him more.

Satan has worked his destruction throughout history.  On the contrary, religion and religious people on God's side have been paying the indemnity to turn history toward God's side.  God operated the whole dispensation through religion.  Therefore, this makes God Himself a public being.

You stand as an individual, but the individual himself has no place in God's world.  You are not "I".  "I" only exist in terms of representing the larger levels.

Even the most 'evil' person still has their original mind given by God.

This individual on the satanic side even knows that he should represent other levels outside himself, but he has no foundation to do so.  This causes him tremendous pain.

Pain accompanies the individualistic way of life and happiness follows God's way of life.

These are two different worlds.

America is a country that follows the satanic fashion of life, but God's great movement is sitting in the middle of America trying to replace this fashion of America and in the whole world.    God does not want just one race in America.

Those on God's side go beyond racial concepts and boundaries.  

The true country is the country that can live beyond the sake of themselves.

God's side: each person respects and loves others and they gradually go up.

Satan's side: they do everything to live for the sake of themselves.

This means that Satan's side is always about, 'me', 'me'.  Everyone pulls everything to themselves, want others to live for them and take from others.  Those who live this way gradually go down and further down.

God's and Satan's side are two different routes.  When one goes up, the other must go down.  They cannot both survive.

God's way of true love in history is the original way.

This original way of love is the reason why happiness comes as a result of living for the sake of others.

Why is God's way this way?  Because when He began creation, He sacrificed His whole being leaving not one bit of Himself to Himself.  When He invested everything He had, He did so while forgetting and investing more, and forgetting again.  

This is the fundamental principle for love and happiness.  It is very obvious that the other side does not practice this way of life.

The solution to bring the world into this way of life is to effectively change the self-centered way of life into a public way of life.  This is a major key to solving the world's problems.

God's Words

We will discover new life, new love, and new lineage when we change from the satanic blood lineage to God's pure blood.

From where does life originate?  Life originates from the parents.  We have veins and arteries.  Veins pull and arteries push.  This comes from the pushing and pulling of love from the father and mother.  This was inherited from God's original way of love.

The heart and a mother represent the universe itself and both must be strong.  They are a small cosmos.

Everything we find in the universe, we can find in each and every individual.

The sperm and ovary are each exactly half.  When these two meet together, they make a whole, a brand new individual.

This is God's way:  exhale and inhale, meet together and separate, get married and give birth, go low and high - God performs this movement.  The whole universe does this movement.  When we look from this perspective, each one is a true masterpiece of creation.  Therefore, the masterpiece of creation is the individual self.

When we think about it, we have billions of cells flowing uninterrupted through out bodies.  How is it possible for them to find common joy and excitement?

Even cells find each other when true love is an action.  What action will bring forty billion cells of a man and forty billion cells of a woman together?

This invisible power is true love.   True love causes this kind of vibration.

All the cells of a man and woman will shout for joy when the two are joined by true love.

This is the same love that we are willing to invest 100% and more for the sake of another.

Do you know a couple like this in your family?  Do you yourself try hard to devote everything to your spouse?

When you conceived your children, did your cells jump for joy in excitement?  What kind of children do you have, heavenly or earthly children?  We can ask our children what kind of parent we are.  Are you a 100% parent, or only a partial parent?

Your spouse, your children and even the entire universe want you to become a 100% parent.

Thus, we should look back on our actions within our family and see how much inadvertently we have damaged the world and the universe.  There is a system in the heavenly world that measures what degree our mind and body are united, our couple is united and what percentage parents we are.

A great movement that will change the world desperately wants to become part of the universal tide and then increasingly propel it.  Thus we want this black current to go around and around the world and become greater every moment.  We should have this same hope and purpose as people of faith.

We must erase our satanic behaviors, leaving no trace of their existence.  

Then, the heavenly current will swell in the forty billion cells of our body.  By doing so, we will have open ourselves up to receive that in ecstasy and joy.  We must gear our lives toward that.

Even if we do not have the capability to do so as of now, somewhere in the world such a movement will form to do so.  Is this something to become a part of or create?  Will God do it for us or do we need God's help to build it?

In the Last Days, people believe that Jesus will miraculously appear and either cleanse the earth automatically after Armageddon, or destroy the earth and bring along God's faithful back with him to heaven.

Can restoration be automatic with a push of a button?

Does God have hands and feet to build?  No, God works through His children which are you and me.

Even when God speaks, most people do not have the ears to hear Him.  So, God has His people of faith speak on His behalf so that everyone from all walks of life can hear.

God's words are Divine Principle. 

When we relate to others the Divine Principle, we are God's mouthpiece.

Divine Principle is the material used to write every single post on this blog.  The taste of the Divine Principle acquires a newer taste even after you have heard it a thousand times.  Even a person who has heard it more than a thousand times will never get tired of it.

The more one hears it, the more you discover from it.

Even re-reading the same words a year later will have a different and more complex understanding to a person as they grow in spirit and heart.

Just listening to Divine Principle ten times is not enough.

Our body needs food to continue to grow; our spirit body needs God's word to continue to grow into maturity.  Do you get tired of eating and say that you will not eat this week because you have eaten this month already?

Can you get tired of eating food:?

When you are exhausted and hungry, isn't it exciting when you get a chance to eat?

Humanity hungers for the sweet taste of God's words.  We should hear God's words everyday, eternally.  This is true even once we reach the spirit world.

To prepare for that, we should train ourselves while we are on earth to hear God's words daily.

Youth Sacrifice for World Peace

Throughout the history of the universe, humanity has had a strong desire for the ideal true love.  This has been the motivating factor for humanity's need for change, for a better world.

The principal participators and initiators of historical change in this time are the young people.  Young people still have the hope for the ideal of a true family and they possess a greater capability to realize this ideal than anyone else.  The young people still have hope for a brighter future for humanity and an ideal of a better world.

Young people are the symbols of hope for a humanity that desires to lead to the new ideal family.

The ideal of family in America has degenerated far from the original ideal of a true family.  Families within used to be the safe haven and hope of the community.  Now mothers and fathers and siblings may be an enemy to one another.

You can examine the history of literary works and recorded accounts that give praise to the roles and the special characteristics young people exhibit.  But there is no more time of critical importance than now that the roles that young people play within the family, nation and world.  Just as the time in history when society had fallen far from the ideal, the family needs a revolution to become ideal families of goodness.

We are living in the critical time in which you live where today's family, nation and world are standing in a place of dilemma?  Have you ever noticed that the more technology and industry advances and youth enjoy major conveniences in their life, we see that the institution of family and individual lives seem to erode.

The divorce rates have risen in America over the last decades.  Also, there is a rise in the same sex-marriage.  The phenomenon of teen pregnancy and and suicide had increased in the last 30 years at the same time of the breakdown of the family.  This is not a coincidence.  This is the most critical issue facing modern society.

When we look at the national level, these issues including sexual diseases, economic imbalance and other social problems, political powers are very limited in the face of these problems.

These problems did not just arise in America alone, but all over the world, countries continue to agonize over how to solve the problems affecting humanity.  Problems such as the threat of war, problems between the races, separation between religious groups and the destruction of the environment.

This reality that many regions of the world experience the miseries of hunger and disease, especially those who practice any faith.

If we were to give a grade regarding the outcome of how humanity's ideas and activities in the last 20 centuries, humankind would receive a failing grade.  All families, nations and the entire world are urgently seeking change for the future.

Throughout history, there was not a clear road for humanity to follow the true path.  This is the reason God brought Jesus and his return to the earth to gather humanity and place them on the path back into God's arms.  It is now imperative that priority is given to develop awareness to the responsibility each of us has to bring about a revolution of change to the family, nation and world.

Our task is to establish for youth a new status as initiators of change and to open a new age for true families, true nations and a true world.

If you plant a seed and it does not sprout at the right time, it just rots away.  On the same token, we are living in the time where everything must be renewed.  Those who find that they do no make themselves new based on God's standard will decline and eventually perish.

The Bible speaks on this when it speaks about placing new wine in old wineskins cause it to burst and become useless.  We are in the era of where we should make ourselves new wineskins to prepare for the new wine never before seen in history.

When the new morning comes, we must put on a new set of clothes; when the new season arrives, we must arrange a new living environment for ourselves.  We must be first renewed as true families and a true nation before we can think about bringing about the re-creation of a true world.  What is the one means by which we can renew each individual, our families, nation, world and change the flow in which history is headed.

The Messiah teaches the philosophy of the ideology of a true family, true nation and true world.  This philosophy opens up a historical horizon for world peace.

God's original ideal of creation was the idea of sacrificial true love capable of giving, then forgetting and turn around to give and forget over and over.  When we see this ideal of creation and the current state of the family, nation and world, we see how far from the idea humanity has fallen.

God's own creative effort involves the sacrificial effort of Himself, His own power.  Yet, because this effort stems from true love, it is returned to God in the form of joy that is tens of thousands of times greater.

In the family, if the parents are motivated by this kind of true love and then invest in and sacrifice themselves infinitely for their children, then, their children will feel infinite gratitude for having to receive this true love.  Then, the parents will experience great joy in place of their sacrifice.

This process of give and take action initiated by sacrificial true love establishes an eternal relationship of joy and peace in the true family, true nation and true world.  This was God's original ideal of creation that we have the hope to restore.  It is in this place that the ideal world of eternal life is manifested.



The true family is the initial stage on which the different types of love, between true parents, true husbands and wives, true children and true brothers and sisters are put into practice and jointly grow to fruition.



On the other hand as we experience in our time, when a family nation or world does not exhibit such true love, it becomes an empty shell.  The lack of true love degenerates into a breeding place for all types of distrust, resentment and immorality.

The family is supposed to be a safe haven where our pure love is nurtured, grows and is perfected as a true family.

The true family is the fundamental nucleus of a peaceful world.

The family is where we learn about God's true love through the love of true parents.  We are also trained by the means of true love of true brothers and sisters which is necessary to acquire a universal love for a true nation and the true world and all of humanity.

True family is also linked to history.  True love is handed down from the parent to child in each generation of the past, present and future linking them together in a consistent value system.  Thus, a family that is destroyed where true love is not flowing, the individuals will not learn how to function appropriately in society and the world.

Therefore, the young people in this age must first become the embodiment of true love becoming the principal actors to build a foundation for a true family culture and true family tradition.   Beyond the true family, it is in the context of the nation that young people are able to put their ideals and energies into practice.

For this reason, we should not base the strength of nation on its political, economic or military might, or its cultural influence but should be measured by the temperament of that country's young people and their sense of patriotic loyalty to the nation.

The young people are the sprout.

Like a sprout, if the young people in a nation wilt, then the tree has no future.  When you observe young people, what is their reality in the world today?  The major problem  each country in the world experience today is the same concerns for the young people.


Political, economic, social and environmental issues can be addressed through such means as institutional improvements and government funding. Laws, military power and economic strength, however, cannot solve the problems of youth.

When dealing with the social problems of the youth, it can never be solved through force or coercion.  The only way for the young people to take responsibility for their wrong actions, young people must lead sacrificial lives and become manifestations of true love, thus establishing their positions as masters of true love.  Do we see this in our youth of America today?

The main force that has the power to initiate young people to bear their responsibilities is true love.  True love is the initiator of all ideals and whose action will continue throughout eternity into the future. True love has the more power than life itself.

If all the youth of the country were to center a new outlook for their country on true love, that that country will discover new possibilities for advancement.  When we look just the history of America just a little over a hundred years ago, we see that the youth had more of a patriotic spirit willing to live and die for their country without want for anything in return.  This tradition is what made America such a great nation in less than a history of 200 years.

When groups that are diverse in the nation transform to an attitude based on true love, they will rise from the limits of their conflicting interests and thus bring about a society of cooperation, harmony and progress.

The primary force that moves a country forward arises from true love in the form of sacrificial and patriotic loyalty. When we look at national heroes whom we respect today, each one of them exemplified a life of patriotic sacrifice rooted in true love, not selfishness.

There are many challenges that keep the world from peace and unity: differences in region,race, religion, culture, custom, language and citizenship.  These differences mus be overcome in order to bring about our desired world of peace.

If we look at all things in the universe from God's eyes of true love, then we would see that the world is one despite all of the above differences.  God does not see national borders, race or anything created to keep humanity from uniting.

When the young people are able to dedicate their lives to sacrifice and service centering on God's true love, then they can start to solve world poverty and hunger.  They will begin to heal the wounds that were caused by humanity's differences in economic standards.  Also, their dedication will erase the feelings of animosity and hatred arising from having different historical differences.

Hope of the Young

Have you ever asked a young person what they want to be when they grow up?  They have many dreams of greatness and happiness in the hopes for their future.

There is no youth that does not have hope. 

Mostly, when you ask what people hope for the future, they will have the ambition to succeed in the subject to which they attend college.  Then someone may challenge and ask, "Is that your real objective in life?"

In search of an answer, not many people are confident in their dreams.

When one is able to achieve their ambitions, then they must start over after realizing that this is not his true ambition.  Yet, not many people in life can feel that they have achieved their dreams and are truly happy and content.

Those who are able to achieve in a certain area, they will then see they want to go beyond that goal.  It is natural that we do not want to end in the reality we live, but we constantly want to go beyond that reality no matter how much we achieve.


Then what really is youth's hope or ambition?

It is a fact that no matter how hard we try, at least in the past, we have never been able to say, or heard anybody say, after reaching the goal of his own ambition, "I am happy, for I have accomplished it". No matter how big a person becomes in the world, he still has to achieve something more, look for something farther.  Always striving to be bigger.

The true ambition of every young person is to achieve his personal dreams.  No matter how accomplished one becomes, if it does not touch them in a soulful way, he will be unhappy. The gravest goal that we must consider is how do we maintain our own sense of happiness once we have established our goal.

Any youth you speak to still has the ambition to go beyond his own national boundary. 

Even though this young person is on this level of understanding, there is no true ideal.  The ideal begins from a certain central point within ourselves.  There, the basic hope and ambition of the youth then can go toward the world.  When we meet opposition, we become indignant toward others in an effort to protect ourselves and this ambition.

In other words, man is unconsciously working on the basis of perfecting himself. When someone attacks him, he will defend himself. Each person will suddenly realize he would like to be perfect.

A woman's sense of accomplishments centered on herself will be different from a man's sense of accomplishments.  Also, from the viewpoint of different countries, there are different ideas and attitudes.


What is true perfection, and what is the center of our hope?

If a person found his center well established, then he would be absolutely happy in the past, present and the future.  Such a person would be accepted consistently throughout history.  Everyone would want to devote himself to this person.

They would think they were the most dependable and beautiful person in the world.

How does one become such a person?  When we think of the ideal youth, it would be the same to us and everybody and consistent with this person.

The ideal youth represents the world, including every country, and the one who can represent the past, present, and future.

If such a youth exists on the earth, he would be considered a treasure of the world.  Treasure is regarded to have an eternal quality.  He would reflect the total.  All youth should want to have such an image; there should not be many exceptions.

When we think of the ideal youth, we must think about man that is both external and internal.  We also see the man striving to do the ideal, and the man as a physical being.

Then what is the ideal?

The ideal subject represent everybody; it excludes nobody; it represents every individual past, present and future.  The ideal person will deploy himself toward the world eternally, not momentarily.


The "Ideal," in Chinese characters, is comprised of a left side ("king") and a right side ("village"); in other words, king's village. -- One side symbolizes the whole, and the other side represents the center. When the whole focuses on one center, then that is ideal. A single man will never achieve that; only with the entirety surrounding the original center will the ideal exist.

It may be hard for Westerners to understand the significance of these characters, but each has a deeper meaning and represents one thought.  When people first started using these characters, they unknowingly included the concept of happiness and the ideal.

And on this basis alone, on this combination of outer environment and developing our own environment for this one purpose, the ideal can come to exist.

Thus, the ideal is not achieved by one person.  There needs to be a perfect object from which the subject has give and take with, then, the ideal exists.  The ideal does not come about from one man, but through a reciprocal relationship.  Just the same, the ideal youth can never be ideal in himself.  He will have the knowledge from both sides so he can represent everything.


Every individual is different from another. Some people have special points in outer things, and some in inner things. Some people are very weak, and some are very strong. Some people are noble, and some are lowly. The ideal person will be someone who can embrace both ends and stand at the center.


The ideal youth will encompass everything and stand strong in the center.  He will not only be concerned with his own life, but he will be concerned for his own village, family or country.  Also, he will not only live for the present reality, but be interested in the past, future and the world.

When a person tries to maintain a relationship with God, then he will become the ideal youth.  We may envision that God is a being that is the center of the whole.  Then this means that God represents the past, present and future.

From the four directions, we have to center on God.  Thus, God is the center of the whole universe.

Matching Spouses

If you are a regular of this blog or a Unification Church member you know about the way the founder Dr. Rev. Sun Myung Moon performs the (Marriage) Blessing by matching members who have accepted the doctrine of the Completed Testament the Divine Principle.



This ceremony is not just the joining of two people, but is a marriage directly approved by God linking the family and children born from this marriage to His direct blood lineage never before seen in all of history.

This was the hope and dream for Jesus, but because even his disciples ran away and did not completely follow him in the end, Jesus could not fulfill his destiny of the Marriage Supper of the Lamb, forseen in the bible, until the return of the Second Advent in our time.

If Jesus was to perform the marriage blessing starting with his disciples and his apostles, you and I by now would be enjoying a world of peace beginning and centering on Jesus's True family.

With Jesus and his True Wife as the example centered on God's pure lineage, there would be an example of not just how to serve humanity as a brother, but as a husband and wife and to spread this absolute lineage from the level of society to nation and then the world.

Nowadays, men and women search for the clues of how to deal with relationships and make them last longer, only leaving each new relationship with scars.  People have become jaded that marriage can never last in these days and either give up in their relationships, or they remain single forever.

People give up on marriage in the first year these days.  Actually, a couple should not decide whether a spouse is good or not before they have lived together for a certain time period.  There are many differences in backgrounds of two households coming together and uniting - this will not be an easy task.

During the matching process in the Unification Church, spouses may be chosen, but it is ultimately decided by each person the value of his or her spouse.

"You must take that responsibility and make that decision. Although you might have in mind someone other than the spouse I suggested for you, is there any guarantee that that person is actually a better match for you?"

This statement can clear many relationship problems encountered when it is at its weakest.  Once a couple has become bored with the routine they may look around for a better prospect.  True love when it is exhibited can never become dull, it actually becomes greater and greater having a high peak and balancing out, but every time it climbs it gains greater power.

When love does not have a strong base or center on God, many find new wives and new loves to fill in the hole the previous one did not seem to fulfill.   This type of thinking makes people jump from one unhappy relationship and further create a hole within their heart leaving nothing for their next love.


Choosing Spouses

Many people choose their spouses based on superficial qualities that is not everlasting.  How can one person know the true background and history of a significant other and base their judgement on whether a person will be a good match for them?

People in the Unification Church see the value in having their parents or a leader match them based on more substantial qualities.


Reverend Sun Myung Moon explains how he chooses spouses for his members:

"When I am considering potential spouses for someone, I think about every aspect of each person. Once I approve of a particular marriage, I know that is the best available match for those people. I always think of the children that will come from such a union. I can look at a woman for only a half minute and discern the deepest qualities of her character.

For instance, I can see if a woman has a very bad temper. If I were to match her with a man with the same problem, they would not be able to survive together more than three days. Moreover, even if they had children, those children would be terribly damaged because of the conflict that would exist between the parents.

When a man is a great athlete, he needs a soft woman who will be like a cushion for him. One's family is the basis for all of the historical actions a person will make. The family is the place in which an individual learns to digest life's experiences.

For a woman with a bad temper, the best mate is someone who can look at her and be intrigued by her nature. He will say, 'How interesting that such an element exists in her nature.'

The woman may shout shrilly at him, 'Come here right this minute, John,' but John will be in no particular hurry to respond. He will take his time and then come to her, asking, 'Did you want to say something to me?'

There are different kinds of echoes into a valley. Certainly the most interesting one is full of reverberations, not just a simple one. When a woman shouts out at her husband, he should have a good echo for her.

This is reality. The husband should be able to give back a reply which will cushion her shrillness and return something interesting to her. He shouldn't just give back to her whatever she shouts at him.

You want the best match for you, of course, but how can you decide who that person is? Your ability to judge is quite limited; your viewpoint is rather narrow.

However, I have a wide variety of knowledge and resources to draw upon in judging people's character. I have been known for quite a long time as a specialist in the knowledge of people.

At the time of the 36 couples' blessing in Korea, I went through great difficulty to match those couples. If someone was very headstrong and refused to accept my advice, I couldn't force him. Yet time has proven my judgment correct, without exception.

After 21 years, such a fact is common knowledge now among the 36 couples. Therefore, those couples understand in a deep way the value and meaning of the matches I recommend for people, perhaps even better than I do.

Of course, you don't know from experience these things which I am speaking of. You must live for at least three years with your spouse before you can accurately begin to judge whether your match is a good one or not.

Therefore, those who are rejecting each other after only three days are being too hasty!

 Within those three years, you should have at least one baby in order to make that decision properly. At the end of the three years, any person who resisted his spouse in the beginning will be embarrassed to admit how wrong he was. 

Especially when your baby comes, you will be able to appreciate the value of your spouse. After all, without him or her, that special baby could never have been born."


One reason marriages have become failures is because of the outlook or individual expectations couples have when entering into the union.  Two people may come together based on self-centered ideals and what they can obtain from the other rather than what they can give and living for their spouse's sake.

"The reason you marry is more for the sake of your offspring than just for yourself. Some couples' marriage may serve the primary value of paying indemnity, which is of the utmost importance." 

Man and woman did not begin history of a loving relationship centered on God and have passed this relationship non-stop through lineage until today.  To reverse this fallen mistake some couples may be chosen to pay retribution for the past mistakes of their ancestors or of society.

For instance a Japanese woman and a white man uniting together under one roof can reverse the mistakes of hate that was created when the Japanese bombed America.  These kind of couples may pay much indemnity so that blessings can be given to the country and to the world as well as their family in the future who will benefit from this couple's victory.

God looks for this kind of couple with which He can work.  This kind of indemnity may take much responsibility and also become a privilege at the same time which go hand in hand.  Everyone wants blessings, but one must also love the path of indemnity sacrificing for the blessings of others.  If you are able to pay indemnity and be able to give blessing this is very good.

Rev. Moon continues his speech:

"There is always a wavelike motion of up and down. When you are well off at a certain time, you will have to come down to a lower position in order to eventually go up higher again. Western civilization has been going in an upward direction for a long time.

Natural law requires that those in the upper position, such as America, must keep in mind those who are in the lower position, such as Africa. Unless they do that, they cannot maintain their fortunate position.

I am in the leadership position of the Unification Church so I am at the top of that church. However, I am always thinking of those who are at the lowest point within the church, particularly those suffering missionaries in Africa or South America.

I always want to hear any news I can about those members. Did I come to America in order to say nice things and encourage Americans to continue as they have been?

No, I came to make America aware of her responsibility. Since America is on the top of the economic curve, she should be helping those at the bottom, such as Africa and South America.

Why should I stay here for a long time and still keep such a rigorous schedule and work so hard? Although America is at the top economically, she is incredibly low and miserable in a spiritual sense.

This earth does not prosper economically everywhere at the same time. While one part of the world is going up, another part is bound to go down. When a certain country is at the top it should help those who are in the lower positions; therefore when the cycle is reversed, they will receive help too."


This same principle is true for marriage.

If a man is particularly handsome and special yet is perfectly willing to marry any woman, even the least attractive and least desirable, when he receives the best quality wife, no one will blame him.

If a man is matched with a quality spouse, this does not mean that they will live the happiest lavish rich lifestyle.  Their marriage can be considered a public marriage.  To be worthy of such a blessing, the couple should like God's expectations that they serve others from the lowest and most humble position.

How does one create an ideal lifestyle?

Through true love.  Through the context of an ideal family you have the father, mother, who give birth to daughters and sons and ultimately grandchildren.  This family is the dwelling place for God's love.  How is it possible for God to relate to love through the basic structure of a family which He created?

Imagine if God only manifested Adam on earth, could he be the place for God's love to live?

One person could not be the center of God's ideal love because this would limit God to love just with his masculine elements.  Always two elements must be connected through the cycle of give and take.  Electricity flows because of this principle.

"There must be give and take between a man and a woman before the cycle of love can be complete." 

Have you noticed that all of creation exist through the pair system?



The ideal nose is even harmonious with the give and take of two nostrils.  How miserable do you feel when you can only breathe through one of your nostrils when it is stuffed up?  This plugged nostril does not bring harmony.

The same with the eyes.  Both eyes work connected to the same optic nerve.  When both eyes do not work together, the person has double vision.  The same principle applies to the ears and all parts of the body which is the model of the creation.

Why didn't God create Adam with just one strong arm?

Just through these few examples, we can see that through the application of the pair system the ideal of creation requires a circuit of give and take between two separate parts.

What if both men and women expressed their feelings in the same way?

The family unit is comprised of true unique, eternal, unchanging love.  There is an native Oriental story that describes the differences in men and women's expressions of emotions.  A mother who lost her baby wept and wept for days.

The death of her baby affected her so much that she could not eat and barely functioned.  Yet, the husband went about his daily living and continued to eat meals without showing any emotions.  The wife confronted him with anger and asked him, "Are you made of stone?  How can you not have any emotions at such a time?"

Then the husband responded by vomiting blood.  The husband was suffering to such a deep degree from the inside, but it never showed it to anyone.

How could a stable family function if both the man and woman both wept furiously or laughed very strongly at the same time?  Women are more sensitive to feelings of love than man.  This is part of God's creation which He planned from the beginning.

"Men and women are essentially the same, yet very different in expression; they are so different sometimes, they irritate each other. However, that is the way of harmony. Within love, these two different natures are bound to be harmonious."

God originally created man and woman not to be in opposition or constantly competing with one another, but to seek total oneness with each other and encompass the world with their love.

The man is in the plus position in relation to woman and woman is in the minus position  A woman can appreciate all men in the world through her relationship with her ideal husband who can represent all men even though he is an individual.

The same is true for the man.

Through this principle, a man and woman together in a family represent all of mankind.  In the context of a family, all elements are represented.  Women are normally more grounded and realistic while men are idealistic.

She will want to have her husband around her and not want to be away from him. In support of his high ideals, a man will decide to go away from his family for a time period even though he loves them.

Through this high ideal and striving nature for man to achieve his dreams, the world has advanced this far.  Men are designed to reach out for things that they only grasp in their imagination and seeks after his dreams and ideal.

On the other hand, women are more stable in that they are more concerned with the here and now rather than the intangible dream.

This is why we say that the man symbolizes heaven and the woman symbolizes earth.

What is the will of the universe?

Basically, the universe desires the harmony of true love. When a man and woman are dwelling together in harmony, they represent all of mankind, also heaven and earth. When they are dwelling in this way, they have achieved the realm of the ideal.

Did you ever look at marriage as the powerful force God used to bring this heaven and earth and all of mankind into unity?

This is not just a conceptual principle, it is reality.  Men and women should understand the importance and the true ideal God had at the beginning for their spouse and what can be achieved through an ideal man and woman uniting through marriage.

Men and women yearn to be together in spite of themselves to fulfill this cosmic ideal of God.  Through the focus of a family unit, people eat, sleep and go about their daily lives.  God's love is the focal point of the ideal family.

God Brings Union to Man and Woman

Yesterday's post focused on the attitude one needs to have of their spouse before marriage.  One of full acceptance and love for their spouse and not rejecting their spouses based on looks or educational background.  God himself puts Himself in a position of absolute love. 

What is man's relationship to God?  We are the substantial object to the invisible spiritual God.  Man and woman are eternally in the object position to God's love.  Love comes from and begins with a relationship with God.  God used love to create the first man and woman.

Moisture is ever present in the air and presents itself as condensation.

"Adam and Eve are like the droplets that appear from moist air when the temperature drops. When the temperature rises, then it is gas, and that is invisible, analogous to God."

The difference between man and woman is likened to a magnet;man is plus and woman is minus.  In order for energy to be generated, man needs woman and woman needs man.  Man and woman need absolute faith, love and obedience centered on God to come together as God's ideal of creation.


Adam is in the subject partner position and Eve is the object partner.  Why did God creat man and woman as convex and concave?  Can they fit perfectly without God's intervention?

God intervenes between convex and concave to meet each other and man needs God's permission as together man and woman are in the object position to the Heavenly Father.  Dialectical and communist theory would deny this reality. 

Their theory is that spirit and God does not exist, only material exist and is the reason for all existence.  Divine Principle crushes this theory. God as the origin of man and woman bringing them together and working through them and multiplying through His good lineage.

Man and woman truly fit one another through true love by first receiving heavenly true love, then man and woman meet each other.  Before they meet, they are each half perfect.  Man and woman alone cannot be perfect. 

Individuals nowadays try to obtain perfection on their own, but why did God create man and woman as convex and concave?  Because of love, God created man's and woman's sexual organs.

For love to stimulate the life of a man and woman, they need harmony with one another.  Man and woman are motivated to unite with each other when they center on true love.  Without the attraction power of love, they will run out of energy to sustain life or marriage.

Man and woman are not to just live for their own generation, but connect the next generation to their love activity.  Man's and woman's love are not two different entities, but are connected to one true love.  Centering on this one true love, then unity comes between them.  This love originates with God.

A man and woman meet each other centered on God.  They connect to one another to create one blood lineage.  A wife may have ten thousand generations connected to her physical cells.  Ancestors from thousand years ago are still connected to her body.  Through her life on earth, she connects these beings to the future.  Blood lineage never dies or disappears because it will always be connected to descendants. 

Do women believe in their man 100% absolutely these days?  We usually find that they are complaining about their man based on their own self-centered ideas.  This is an important issue concerning marriage.  To go the opposite way of this trend is to have absolute pure love for the spouse.  No matter the situation or the difficulty, your mind should be unchanging toward following the spouse who is centered on God.

Because we are descendants of a tainted blood lineage and are fallen individuals, we have become valueless people. Without knowing God, you don't know absolute obedience.

"Did you wear your best clothes today? When you wear it, you may feel you have the best clothes of anyone here. You never think you are second best. But you should think about how God looks at you. Then what idea comes?"

If God looks at you dressing up, is He positive or negative about it? I am looking at the woman’s side in all history. Did they use their sexual organ proudly or not? I am looking for such a woman in history. Maybe you want to be the woman with the number one sexual organ in the world.

Which side is greedier, man or woman?  When we look in history, can we evaluate if there has been women who have used their sexual organs properly in the sight of God?  What about man?  Have you ever wondered if there was any woman like Hitler who killed 6 million people.  Only man has led such atrocities.  It seems then that man is greedier than woman.

God has both convex and concave, feminine and masculine attributes.  This is why both man and woman love God.  This is also why a pregnant woman have three persons inside of her:  God, the father, and the mother. 

"Which is first, convex or concave? The rain falls down and the ground is flat. Think about concave: it expects the convex, that is why it is called concave. So convex is first. Why is this important? The sexual organ is God and Adam’s organ."

All men have two testicles. What is the central point? God. Woman’s sexual organ accepts the man’s. So it is soft but strong. Man and woman have love, and through that, life is transferred. True love is not enough; the relationship is important for the transfer of life. That’s why the sexual organ is the foundation of love, or base of love and the palace of love.

The  palace of love originally was to be Adam and Eve.  This may be weird if you are hearing this for the first time.  The author of the Divine Principle talks about the man and woman's sexual organs as the palace of love.

A nation can fall due to the misuse of the sexual organs, just take a look at kings and religious leaders of the past.

Without a great husband or wife, you cannot expect great children.  The man's palace of love is only accomplished through the woman's sexual organ and vice versa.  A man's life connects with woman's love and woman's life connects with man's love.

 

"In Korean, a woman’s sexual organ is called jago, which means the palace of children. The woman’s sexual organ gathers the blood lineage and connects it with life. All kinds of things happen there. Blood lineage is connected with the universe. There are two different lineages meeting there in the sexual organ; they mingle there and create a new one."

Originally, there was only supposed to be one lineage, instead, the satanic blood lineage runs through our veins.  God's idea was for His blood lineage was supposed to be for all of humankind.  Our lives were meant to live for the sake of others.  Through this lifestyle, we can bring selfless love.  A woman's love is not owned by woman herself.  Her love is connected to all of her ancestors.  This is why tradition is important to follow.  We need tradition.

When one woman connects her sexual organ to two men, this destroys the center.  Without a central point, it can not be eternal and clear.  Remember the account of Adam and Eve after they had given unto the "fruit".  They covered their sexual organs.

Why?

If the fruit they ate was an apple, they would cover their mouths, but the fruit was the misuse of their sexual organs so they covered their parts.  You hide your transgressions.  They were naked and unashamed before the fall, but they partake in love without God's permission and before their love was mature.

This is why we repeat over again, "absolute faith, love and obedience".  It is the most important in our relationship with God. If beside your husband there was another beautiful woman, could you be happy?  Free sex with a different lover every night is ruining this country.

You must absolutely love your husband.

Yet still as people of faith we contain fallen nature within us.  This is a source of self-destruction and a fearful thing, a thief within us.  You are against God's will when you complain about this and that.  Do you understand the meaning of absolute faith, love and obedience?

Even if we invest our lives to understand this concept it will still not be enough.  Future leaders should be pointed to Unification theological Seminary.  Even if a child goes to Harvard, they should still graduate from UTS to show church leadership.

No matter how many master's one obtains, if they do not understand the spiritual side of matters, they did not prepare well.  Even if one can lead a business, leadership means to prepare to lead the church as well.  some people hesitate learning more because they do not know how much the spirit world affects our lives.

Money means nothing. If one does not follow the direction of the  higher true teachings of the spirit world in relation to man, no matter how much pride or money one has, they will fall at the end of their life.  The Completed Testament known as the Divine Principle should not be taken lightly.  The author invested all ideas in ways to save the world and sacrificed his life for the sake of humanity.  His whole life is an exemplary course.  Young people should be willing to follow this idea.

True Love Does Not Fall

"To fall is to lose the center of vertical love and horizontal love. That's why conjugal love in the fallen world is so unstable. Conjugal love these days can be turned around 180 degrees by one word.

That is the fallen reality. That shows that people don't know where conjugal love should aim. The reason that the world is heading toward destruction is that the order of conjugal love has broken apart."

As a couple, you should be luminous and shine like the sun and the full moon in their principled orbit.  Do not be like the sun or the moon covered in dark clouds in a dark cosmos.

Heaven is looking for a couple which can represent heaven and earth and whose heart is filled with passionate love.   You should leave a legacy of love and raise your children in the atmosphere of such conjugal love.


Be a Couple of Parental Heart That is God's Fence

Economic difficulties cannot crack the affinity of husband and wife. Educational background cannot blur conjugal love. A wife may think that her husband should study a certain field more, but Father doesn't think so.

Love of husband and wife can fill what is lacking.  A wife may think that her husband needs to get a degree or become a doctor to become the best husband.  This is not Father's thinking.  The economic down turn of a nation will not crack the affinity of husband and wife and their educational background will not blur conjugal love.

Conjugal love is the oneness of the love of man and the love of woman.

Conjugal love then should become one with the children's love and then become one with God's love.  God's love dwells where the perfect conjugal love begins.

When a husband and wife are live with God and humankind as their center and are about to explode in love, God and the universe will claim and possess that family. This type of love does not begin with the man or woman - its origin is God's love.

When doves are in love, you hear them say, "coo, coo".  How does a couple in love sound?  When two people who are in deep love meet each other, the sound will be much bigger than that of thunder!

If we have strong love centered upon God, opposition and persecution from the world will be something interesting to play with. "First love" possesses enormous power, like dynamite. Did Adam and Eve live together without getting married, as is the practice of the young people in this age?

True love is the first the last and the eternal.  When Adam and Eve experienced their first love, were they married or practice fallen free love as the young people of this age? 

God wants a couple to love each other intimately and with passion.  When your mind wants to pursue such idealistic love, it will be the driving force to help you push through any difficulties and win over anything including Satan when we are in love.

A spouse filled with true love will love with the oneness of body, heart and blood lineage.  Who loves like that?  Only the husband and wife can perpetuate this ideal.  With a love like this, can a spouse have a fulfilling life when apart from their spouse?

Your spouse is the most lovely object in the world and your relationship as a couple resembles an echo.  Your spouse will live and behave according to how you sound and behave.  This may be difficult to hear when a spouse seems to be acting poorly toward another. 

When a man loves a woman, no matter how strong or masculine he may be, he will not reject a woman who has plunged into the depth of his heart with such a great love.  Men love such a woman.  When one sacrifices and invests everything for the sake of love, all barriers will be broken.

This is partly why Father Moon believes that through inter-cultural and interracial marriages, the world can become one. What grandfather would bomb the country where his grandchildren reside?

Passionate love outside the holy union of God has been the downfall of many nations and leaders.  To keep all the love for the spouse, bachelors and virgins are warned not to even touch each other's hands before marriage.   This is to love 100%.

When one keeps all of their love before marriage, they will be able to give this to their spouse wholeheartedly.  With a love this passionate, even when a couple is far apart, they will find themselves moving toward each other automatically.

We must correct the mistake of our first ancestors who loved passionately before they were blessed in marriage by God.  Afterward, humanity's mind and body contradicted each other.  God has used religion to help us correct this problem. 

Once we make the mind the subject over our body;s many ungodly wants, then we should make a circular relationship where God can dwell in our mind. 

When a man and woman whose mind and body are united enter into the Marriage Blessing directly given by God, they will live giving and receiving perfect love and happiness.  This harmonized couple will resemble a flower in full bloom and emanate a beautiful fragrance to God.  For thousands of years, God has longed for such a couple.

God's favorite melody is the joyous laughing of a couple in love. When a couple lives with the mind to embrace the whole universe, laughter is produced automatically. Isn't the loving life of a such a couple a beautiful flower in God's sight? This is not a mere ideal or something abstract;this is how the original world was supposed to be.

When a couple speak, they speak centered upon their mind, personality and love.  This makes them equal, correct?  If a woman from the country with only an elementary school education marries a king, the people of the nation bow to the wife.  Husband and wife go the same way;the wife's love is the wife's love is the husband's love and the husband's love is the wife's love.

When a man laughs, his eyes open wide, and when the women laughs her eyes gently close.  The husband and wife's laughter is relative and they become more intoxicated in love.

A couple shouldn't unilaterally desire their spouse's face to remain in a fixed shape. If they remain fixed, each will become really tired of looking at the other. When you look at your spouse with a joyful heart, he or she will look joyful; and when you look at your spouse with a beautiful heart, he or she will look beautiful. Feel your spouse's face anew with every new stimulation.

A husband and wife are happy when they give and receive love with each other.  If the husband was to strike his wife, there is no happiness. On the contrary, when a man loves with his loving heart with his physical power, the woman feels complete happiness.  When the wife returns her love physically and spiritually to the man, they become a truly happy couple.

When a man loves a woman, the women will feel true happiness. this love is not produced by energy alone or fulfilled by heart alone.

Because human beings were created to always need stimulation, happiness cannot be established without it. 

When we are starving, our vegetables will taste good and fresh.  We can eat the same meal everyday with the same seasoning.  In the same way, love should always be fresh and new.  As the days pass their love grows, the husband and wife should miss each other day by day.  We do this by studying and researching ourselves and God.

What can bring complete happiness?  Is it eating?  But eating is only temporary and once you had your fill, you can't eat anymore even if you are offered food from the finest restaurants.  We will never get full from the love of our spouse.  As we see them more, we miss them more.  Unification takes place here where lovers make a circle of love.

A married couple might have to think hard to the time before when they were single.  The girl felt like she didn't need a man, but once she was enraptured in love in her married life, she could not live without him.  Through this ownership of love, she sees that her husband is much more precious than herself.

Where does True Happiness come from?

Families these days are bogged down by the demands of their lives.  When a family centers their love upon God, and they can see the joyous God working in their lives, then true happiness is generated.  In God's original ideal when He was creating, making love between husband and wife was not something in which o be ashamed.  He created love to be the noblest, holiest and most beautiful thing in all creation.  The beginning of this reversal in love began with our first ancestor who sin by misusing God's love.

There are now 7 billion men and women in the world, but husband and wife should think that their spouse is the only one in existence.  This is Principle that a couple totally invests themselves in their spouse alone.  Would a couple who thinks this way, stray toward another person or wish for a better spouse?

The value of love lies in longing.

When you actively initiate love by asking for love with your mouth and your eyes, then your spouse will be happy to pour their love to you in return or else he would run away.  Wouldn't a spouse feel bad if their spouse was only passive or not serious in love?  We always want to be together with our lover because it feels good to be close and when we are together, everything functions simultaneously.  We can see God's love and investment through a couple such as this.

Which love is better, the love where two people shout in a crowded room, "love you" or the couple that expresses their love silently.   Deep love kept silent within the heart of a couple is very precious.

Here in America, love is active while in the Oriental culture love is internal.  Waves are high in shallow water and gentle in the deeper part of the ocean.  The waves of love also get quieter in depth, so in this sense, invisible love is more precious than visible love. 

What about God?  What would happen if he was a walking, visible God?  Every nation would fight even more wars just to possess such a limited being  within their boundaries.  Fortunately, God is invisible which is the most precious.  Because God dwells inside our invisible mind, nobody can steal him from us.

What if love was visible?

 It would be no fun.  Invisible love is the greatest love of among all love.  Because love is invisible like God, it can be the highest, widest, and deepest.  Love is compared to the Rocky Mountains and the Niagara Falls to describe love's deep, rugged qualities. 

"The invisible God is precious because invisible love is precious."

In order to find God, we must get rid of our ego and become absolute zero in front of God without our own agenda.  God lives deeply within the realm of the invisible world and in the visible world which we live.

When we see an American couple or a Hollywood couple in love it looks very hot.  But this love is actually lukewarm compared to Oriental couples.  American couples kiss each other automatically every morning like a fly touching on the skin and flying away. 

An Oriental husband and wife stare at each other before kissing and they shyly drop their eyes.  This scene can compare to a great masterpiece in any museum.  Also, the scene of the wife carrying the briefcase for her husband just before they leave for a business trip.  An American wife barely will leave the room or turn her head to see her husband off before he leaves.  Therefore, Orientals who are aware of the Western life style don't want to get married to an American woman.

The conversation of a loving couple is much more beautiful than any poem or any picture in the world. How beautiful words are, such as "between lovers," "between ourselves," or "you and me"!

When God blesses human beings, He creates the environment for the couple to be happy. The couples who enter the door of such blessing don't fight with each other right away. After entering the door of love, they are busy exchanging whispers such as, "I've been waiting to meet you for a long time. My life will bloom with the flowers of value through you. I was born to love you and waited to love you until now." There is nothing sweeter than the confidential talk of love.

God creates an environment in which a couple can be happy when he blesses them together.  A couple united in this love will not fight with each other right away, but will be happy and be appreciative for such a spouse.  This type of couple will tell one another how they have longed to meet them and how their life will bloom in value through them. They will say, "I was born to love you and waited to love you until now." 

"Their is nothing sweeter than the confidential talk of love."

The married couple's whispering of love is the most effective refrigerant to cool off all the fatigue and the hatred in the world.

A couple shouldn't demand love forcibly from each other. Love is natural, so the confidential talk of love is soft and beautiful.

Before marriage a man looks creepy and scary to a wife, but the woman's heart quickly changes after marriage.  After knowing this love, she would gratefully take a nap in her husband's bosom.  Such a woman will do whatever it takes to be with her husband as much as possible and ask him to come home for lunch.

Likewise, a man after knowing love, wants to sleep on his wife's lap whenever he finds leisure time, so he rushes right home at a coffee break or at lunch time. After marriage, he can do whatever the wife wants without a moment's hesitation -- even things that he formerly considered totally belonging to women. This is the typical change which takes place in a married couple with true love centered on God.
