A Prayer: Allow Us to Discover Where Our Hearts Lie

Anything that is absolute has qualities that are unchanging and are everlasting.  Prayers are the same. True Father, as Rev. Sun Myung Moon is called by his followers, has set records with 20-hour speeches and strong fervent prayers where he not only sweat blood but also tears.  The following prayer was given in 1965.  One can feel the Father's heart from the deep path he had laid out on earth for God and His children to be set free:

"Father, please allow us to discover the condition in which our hearts now lie. We are aware that although our bodies have gathered together, each heart moves in its own direction. We are aware that we who were created by You should move only according to Your desire, and just as You created Adam, so too our hearts should be molded according to Your desire. Now our bodies have come together to form one altar, but we are concerned as to whether the true natures and essential natures of our hearts have become the temples in which You may dwell.

Please forgive us that even with such hearts we yearn for You, our precious Father. We are painfully aware of how much we need to feel the sensation that comes when our insufficient hearts brush against Your internal character and are suddenly lifted up.

We cannot but consider within the depths of our hearts how through Your history of restoration You have sought joy through calm discussion and have sought to manifest our missions solemnly. No one ever welcomed our Father solemnly or stood in a position for You to express Your hidden secrets. Through this moment we have taken to heart how it was only our Father who cried, and only our Father who suffered. Our Heavenly Father should be the True Father of all mankind, and our Heavenly Father and we ourselves must establish a three-dimensional relationship centered on eternal life.

Although we must become sons and daughters who realize these facts, if such a realization does not sprout from deep within our hearts, how can we call ourselves Your sons? How can we call ourselves Your daughters? When we realize that no ties or connections bind us together, we see that we also have no relationship with the Kingdom of Heaven which You would give us. Neither have we anything to do with the place for Your rest after You have suffered through the long history of resentment. Our suffering Father, our loving Father! Should You forsake our pitiful selves, we can only be buried in eternal death. What abilities do we have? We are so weak and so lacking in every way. We feel nothing but fear, and with such hearts receive Your love; turning our eyes toward heaven, we desperately await the hand of salvation.

Oh Father, we pray from deep within our hearts: please save our pitiful selves. History has reached its consummation. Father, You are surely aware of how the surging waves of death attack us from every direction and threaten to swallow us up. Because You have maintained a heart of concern for us and have kept the will to sacrifice for us, when You see us in our present situation, Your heart must rend asunder. Father, we beg that You may pity us and fulfill this moment.

Father, in this moment, we would like to confess our lonesome hearts before You and exchange them for Your heart. Surely You are aware of the pitiful situation we are in. We cannot live unless we can exchange our inexpressibly sad and grieving hearts for Your heart of joy and life. We pray, Father, that You may forgive us. Father even though You have sacrificed Yourself for us and taken upon Yourself all our suffering, still, because we are so fallen, we must again seek Your salvation.

Oh Father! Please let it be that the hearts of all gathered here may flow freely among themselves. Although we once were stumbling now we are all gathered here as brothers and sisters. We have gathered here to turn toward heaven, yearning for the Heavenly Word of restoration that will allow us to reach for Your original idea. So we beg that You take pity on us and raise us up. But who among us can stand before You in confidence?

Because, Father, You are confident, we have sought to be confident, and because You have told us how it must become, we have sought to believe this way. But if there is even the smallest mistake here, You will have to forgive us again, so we beg that You will give us direct guidance.

Father, we pray that You take pity on the race of thirty thousand. Without knowing the proper road to follow, our brothers can only wander aimless, crying and screaming on the road of life or death. We know, Father, that Satan is hunting for them and his power is increasing.

We must become people capable of feeling grief over this reality and testify to the road they must follow and decrease the power of Satan over them. In this way, we must raise the foundation of victory.

Oh Father! If our strength is not sufficient, please give us Your courage. Just as You directed Joshua and Caleb to be strong and of good courage, we beg that You may grant us Your words at this time. We pray that we may become heavenly sons and daughters who will offer the fate of the race of thirty thousand before our Father's altar, link them to Your life, and pay any sacrifice and fight to the end when Satan attacks trying to sever this precious lifeline.

Even today Your sons and daughters are scattered across the country. Father, they are bowing down before You and in tears they cry out with their sad hearts. On this tragic course where men are not able to comfort one another, but must live in a bitter, lonely environment, please take pity on Your sons and daughters who have so few brothers and sisters to whom they can confess their sorrow.

In this moment, by softly caressing each other's hearts we have seen how the world of Your heart moves beyond space and time. Because in this moment our hearts may be struck by Your guidance, we may experience a moment of the joy of being submerged in Your heart. If it may be allowed for this one brief moment, we beg that You may bring us Your word and hope that You may somehow spend this moment in our midst.

We do not ask for words of blessing. We only need the awareness that now is the time when we must know how we are lacking, and now is the time to know the heart that fears having to come to judgment without having wiped away the lineage of sin.

We pray that with such a body and mind, we may be able to approach the word that is permitted to us. We pray that the heart of he who speaks the word and the hearts of those who are about to receive the word may not be separated, but will become one heart and be able to touch Your heart that overflows in deep truth and love.

We pray that in this moment, we may take on our Father's internal character and humbly bow before You, and that this may be a moment in which the heart of respect and honor may flow among us and that there may not even be the smallest opening through which Satan may invade. We pray in the name of our precious Lord. Amen.

Make New Relationship With God

The Bible states that we can see God's characteristics, emotions, will and intellect evidence when we observe the creation.  God didn't haphazardly create the universe, but like an artist plans their masterpiece before painting, God did the same.

When God made a plan to create the world, He first began from the model of a man and a woman.  Evolution believes that humanity happened from chance of the smallest of cells without realizing that there was a First Cause - God.

This God has an intellect, emotion and will.  Would this loving God want a world full of misbehaving entities or one that centered on His own love and characteristics?

We understand that somewhere in history, the line of love between God's direct blood lineage has been severed.  In order to return to God, we must deny our fallen birth and blood lineage and make a new relationship with God.

We cannot return this world into a peaceful one without going back to the origin.  In other words, in order to be reborn from this fallen dead world, we have to return our life and center it on God and become resurrected.  Being reborn is not the conclusion where many religions may stop.

We then must go through a growth period to reach the perfection level where God resides.

During this growth period, it is a time where we restore what has been lost through indemnity conditions or what we call redemption.  It is the individual's responsibility to make an indemnity condition to return what is rightfully God's back to its original position.  This is not just on the individudal level, but is the national mission and world mission together at the same time.

As one comes closer to the truth of God's will more and more, one is awakened to how our bodies have become dirty through Satan.  We feel like burning off any part of our fallen body and cut off the filthy blood of Satan that flows through our body that causes us to do what we wish not to do.

When we realize our body is filled with sin and is our enemy, we feel like throwing away our hands, feet and even our whole body which is used by Satan.

Those who wish to believe that they are great and perfect and want to preserve their sinful, fallen selves through the ego are not very smart.

Since humans cannot remain dead in this state, we need to set up conditions which God can grab onto to eliminate our past relating with Satan.

This is different from the theory that, just by believing in God and the Messiah that all our sins fall away, yet we still bore children of sin.  Once we recognize there is a method to make the indemnity condition and it is not just by faith but through putting faith into action will we become perfected and closer to God.

There is no business in the world as great as that. In the Bible it says, "What good is it if you gain the whole world and lose your life?" Life is that precious. We must know the correct method for the indemnity condition, which results in your own precious life.

The way to restore oneself is to pay indemnity by going the opposite way of what occurred at the Fall. Also, by going where Satan and evil cannot follow.  Evil cannot be humble, follow their conscience or sacrifice for love.  This is why saints and religious founders in the past recognized the importance of practicing this method of faith daily in order to have a clear mind and become closer in oneness to God.

Teacher established all the historical indemnity conditions, then he won victory. It should not be a problem even if Satan attacks with all of his methods and ways, as Satan has done to goodness until now.

When it gets tough, we can imagine using the same method that Stalin used to liquidate all religious people and use it against Satan when we carry out maneuvers. Teacher even has that side.

Perfection does not happen automatically but is established through indemnity. 

What does it mean to be perfected?  We falsely have grown to believe that it means a person who doesn't make mistakes and obtains knowledge without learning it first.  This is superficial definition.  We obtain perfection when we unite our conscience which is close to God and subdue our body. This brings us a clear path to lead a life centered on God without falling prey to Satan's traps and temptations.  This being is said to have restored themselves and are perfected.

No matter how great a person is in the fallen world, they absolutely are  unable to perfect themselves without going over the hills of indemnity condition.  Self-perfection is accomplished through the perfection of indemnity.

God thinks of this perfection of the individual self as restoration of the self.   Perfection of indemnity could be called the perfection of restoration. That is why it is restoration through indemnity. Therefore, we can never separate these two words: indemnity and restoration.

When we say "perfection through indemnity," it means "indemnity for restoration."

Centering on perfection, reach perfection through the course of restoration through indemnity. After indemnity, then restoration. After being restored, then go the way of perfection. Therefore, you can think of indemnity and restoration as one.



The Indemnity Condition Has To Be Established By Myself


What was lost due to the fall?

First when Adam and Eve made love before the time of maturity, the angelic world and God were chased out of the human world and then we lost the world of all things in creation.  Next, the indiviidual, family, clan, nation and world foundational base were lost through Adam and Eve choosing Satan's words over God's.

Who has the responsibility for that?

The responsibility to reverse this mistake does not belong to God, the angelic world or creation.  It is human responsibility.    We must take responsibility for this tragedy and go the course of reversing this mistake.

Humanity will not be able to go this path alone, but with the help of the spirit world.  God created the angelic world before He created human beings.  The angels helped God create all things and through all things as material.

Because human beings caused the disruption and broke away from God's way, man must restore through indemnity or pay back condition.  Since the first parents became fallen parents, we must establish a True Parent to indemnify the past or else, we have no hope of returning our lineage back to God.  Thus, the one who can resolve the mistake in the Garden of Eden is the True Parent centered on God holding God's blood lineage.

The Principle is that the one who committed the sin should indemnify it.

Indemnity conditions must be established by your own self. Another person cannot substitute for you. The fall means the loss of the authority of subjectivity. In restoration, no matter who interferes, you must be confident of yourself and go with the clear subjectivity.

When we find the True Parent, we will not be able to compare their value to ten million dollars or even billions of lives.

When we find the True Parents in the Last Days, we should want to follow with our own life the traditions they set to reverse the Fall.

Jesus said, "Those who want to live will die and those who want to die will live," because that describes the way, the beginning point of restoration through indemnity.

No matter where others are going, I must be busy going my way. At night, there is no time to sleep, there is no time to find a place to sit comfortably and eat a meal. Without having a heart this serious, you cannot go the way of restoration.


In Order To Eliminate The Satanic Sovereignty

Jesus came to be a True Parent, but his mission was cut short by the disbelief of the people and could only leave a tradition of spiritual salvation.  In order to have complete salvation of the physical and spiritual bodies we must liquidate our own sin and past.  We must clean up any sin we committed by not doing things that are against Principle.

When we allow something we do to lay a condition for Satan to invade our lives, it is evil.

What is sin?

Whatever you do, say or any content you have that allows Satan to attack is sin.

Therefore, Christians more than anyone must clearly know the root of sin. Evil is Satan himself, needless to say, and in Eve evil starts with, "Let me be the subject, let me be the center." God's original principle of creation is, "Live for the other (spouse)," while "Live for myself" is the satanic fallen nature.

What is the origin of good and evil?

Many people wrongly theorize that evil always existed and is part of creation.  This is not true.  Humanity left its position due to the Fall.  In order to fix this broken past, we must return to the path of the Principle that existed before we broke down.  Then we must go through the course of recreation in order to become one with the principle of creation.

Evil people say that we should live for myself; God and Jesus want to break down this evil tradition.  This is why Jesus taught us to fight our arrogance and live for and serve others.  By going the opposite way of evil, we are doing the work of restoration.

Eve was motivated that someone else exist to invest in her, not that she exist to invest in others.  If she thought about Adam, she would have not tempted him.  This is why religions teach to sacrifice the self for others.  We must do the opposite from the world and invest in others.

After the fall of Adam and Eve, what kind of illness did the human race contract?

You have heard of lovesickness?  Through the sickness of love, we could not connect to God's true blood lineage and the blood lineage of Satan has multiplied.  This illness was infused from Satan's blood and bore satanic children through his blood lineage.  Where did this sickness directly begin?

It first began with the thinking of one self and centering on oneself and leaving God out.  By denying God's words and order and centering on oneself, the sickness of the fall was born and has continued throughout history centering on selfishness.

In order to heal and reverse this matter, we must deny ourselves and live absolutely centering on God leaving our own thinking out.

If the archangel, Adam and Eve, were hoping centering on God, they would not have fallen but would have established the ideal world.

Heaven is where we live a life attending God absolutely and make the relation of love through Him.  God has been leading this providence of restoring the past and straightening out this origin.  When you are too proud of your fallen self, this cannot happen.  You will not be able to separate from what holds you back from returning fully back to God.

We must have a God-centered living if we want to begin to come out of the self-centered, fallen sovereignty we currently witness in the world.  There is no other way to separated from this self-centered, satanic world. We all must take this way inevitably.

While you are doing witnessing or business activities, do you ever happen to say, "It is too hard and I can not do this"? That cannot be God-centered but is centered on your own self.

In light of this principle, if you complain while you are doing mission work, and deny the work, you must know clearly that your work is unqualified. He who works the Godly missions centering upon himself will complain within a short time when hardship comes. He will claim that all the work he has done in the church is his own.

The way I must go might be difficult, but I must think: God is going in front of me, my friends are beside me, and our brothers and sisters are there. Also, we must think that the fate of all humankind's future remains in front of us. I must think that I will go until I give my life. By having this thinking, you can overcome the self-centered fallen standard.

Not me centered; by thinking centered on God, you can overcome the fallen sovereignty. During our most difficult times mean we are kicking out the most difficult fallen sovereignty and getting closer to the day of liberation.

The Fall brought us into a horrific place of death and sadness.  In order to return to God, we must run into this place of death with a joyful heart as a real man and woman.  Every human must go through this fate no matter what.
As more people do the will of God, the world will go in a new direction.

 In your heart, do you have the faith to go beyond the limit of life and death?

The author of the Divine Principle speaks on this point:

"Teacher has been watching many dozens, many hundreds, many thousands, many tens of thousands of life and death situations, and has fought with Satan. Although the countless situations of difficulties come like waves, the goal that Teacher made has not changed.

Even if my legs are broken or my eyes are popped out or my neck is being cut, I do not change from the beginning point of determination. Therefore, I'm victorious as long as I'm alive.

How could we get out of the love of the fallen sovereignty and the blood lineage of the satanic sovereignty? Whenever you think about only yourself and loving yourself. Satan can take you away.

If I do the opposite, denying myself and thinking centered on God, and live this way, Satan cannot manage me and God abides in and manages me. By doing this, you can be liberated from the archangel in the satanic world. From the position of fallen archangel you can climb to the unfallen archangel's position." SMM

Adam fell away from God on the individual level because he was the center of the whole and he must restore the world and turn them to the right direction.  This restoration process does not all at once, but stage by stage.  First the position of individual, the family environment, clan, nation and world then the cosmic environments must be restored.

All together there are eight stages or levels which we must pass through.  When we solve these problems, human beings who are looking for the ideal world will be able to freely meet with God who is the subject of love.

While doing that, if some level is blocked, one may pass the lower levels but one cannot pass the level above. That means that one cannot continue on the way to be one with God.

If you are only able to reach a certain level of restoration and your path is blocked, you will be able to go freely to the lower levels you have conquered, but you will not be allowed to pass the levels above.  This means that you cannot continue the path to connect directly to God.

You will get help from spirit people on that level, but you will not be able to communicate with God.  God worries about fallen men and women and how we can expand the environment from the individual level to Him that allows us to directly communicate with Him.  God did not have these worries before the Fall and Adam and Eve were talking directly with Him.

Absolute denial must be established in the beginning on the individual, then to the family, clan, society, nation world, cosmos and ultimately to God.  This is how the world of peace will come about.  Are we as a society exhibiting a life of denial and living for others?  How about the individual or family. Without the sacrifice of one own's thinking, a world of peace will never come about.\

Then the eight levels are completed and connected to the ideal direction. Level by level, unless we pass through the course of denial, we cannot be connected to God.

One who desires the absolutely unique subject must fulfill the condition by denying reality.

Men and women fell through taking the orders of the archangel.  In order to reverse this past we must deny ourselves first.  When we pursue the absolute subject, God, we must do so through the position of absolute denial.  This is what every major religion teaches.

God appears in front of an unfallen Adam and Eve.  This is where we find God.  Each of us must return to the position of sinless Adam and Eve before the fall.  This tradition begins with unfall True Parents where we can make a true individual, true family, clan, nation and true world.

World peace begins with the unfallen Adam and Eve who become True Parents.

The Divine Principle is the only thought that makes this claim.  To reach this level of perfection, we must go through the opposite side from the fall. Our indemnity course naturally appears for us fallen people and we must each overcome this fallen past.  Without overcoming our ancestor's past, we cannot go back to the origin of a sinless Adam and Eve.  How can we restore the eight stages?  We begin with a clear ideology that gives us God's direction.

Lack of Love Cause of Society's Problems

Sometimes, years down the line in a marriage, a spouse will wonder with pain where the love they imagined for themselves has gone.  To them, it seemed there was more affection at the beginning of their marriage and they lost it as the relationship progressed. People boil this down to the honeymoon stage is over.

The fond feelings have been replaced with something that resembles contempt.  Children and teenagers witness this loss of love in their parents' marriage and react.
Disillusioned by their parents' failing love, they seek love among their peers and mostly in a destructive way such as sex outside of marriage which their parents disapprove.  When people look back on their family relationships, they can only see guilt and regrets.

Lack of love robs us of community among our neighbors and frustrates our desire for peace in the world.
For instance, when we do not exhibit love, when we see our neighbor's children not deserving the love and attention we give our own children, we will not intervene in their mischief to avoid  offending their parents. If we want to begin to resolve conflicts that lead to war, terrorism, oppression of minorities and the poor, and ethnic violence, we have to sacrifice for true love.

How many individuals possess such a love in this day where they would put their lives on the line to stand against the hatred?  Saints and pioneers of the past have suffered greatly for the whole, but in our modern time it is a rare find an individual who suffers greatly for the whole.Somehow, the pipeline of true love has been broken. Love is thus the core of human striving and the raison d’etre of the created world.

No matter how deep the hurt, how intractable the trauma, no matter how profound the alienation or how deep the sin, love can seep in and penetrate like cleansing warm waters to ease the pain, salve the wound, and restore wholeness.

Love makes life on earth worthwhile, and it presages life in the next world as well.

Everybody, even those who deny it, yearn for love and yet, it eludes us.  We seek it through love stories, relationships and everyday life.
The Centrality of Love
That “mysterious identity” is true love and God is love.
Psychologist M. Scott Peck said that issues of love were at the bottom of all the problems his patients struggled with. He asserted, “The essential ingredient of successful, deep and meaningful psychotherapy is love.”

Dr. Karl Menninger, a towering presence in medicine, observed, “Love cures people—both the ones who give it and the ones who receive it.” Health experts are finding that feeling loved is far more predictive of long life and good health than even such important factors as diet, exercise, and abstinence from smoking.
When a parent must discipline and educate their children of the way of the world, it is impossible and not effective unless one gives priority to the questions of love.  When one sees the value in relation to love in every aspect of life, we can tackle and address any issue in life.

Teilhard described love as a force, mysterious yet binding, even on the molecular level. Within each entity in nature, from the most sophisticated and complex to the simplest, he found an observable attraction to other entities. Teilhard said, “Driven by the forces of love, the fragments of the world seek each other.”He saw the entire universe as bound together, molecule by molecule, by the force of love: “We do not get what we call matter as a result of the simple aggregation and juxtaposition of atoms. For that, a mysterious identity must absorb and cement them.”

Many religions and cultural traditions call the beginning of this broken pipeline "the fall of man".  It is the beginning of evil and sin flooding the gates of a once world of paradise where according to many traditions, man walked in oneness with God's heart. Many religions and cultural traditions call the beginning of this broken pipeline "the fall of man".

It is the beginning of evil and sin flooding the gates of a once world of paradise where according to many traditions, man walked in oneness with God's heart. Still, we have not exactly been able to pinpoint the true beginning of the problem in order to bring about a true solution to lead us toward peace.  There is not enough love in the world, and where it exists, it is rarely true love that is connected to God.  There are two kinds of love, false love connected to the fall and true love connected to God.

Love is a healer. 
Philosopher Bertrand Russell wrote, “In the union of love I have seen, in a mystic miniature, the prefiguring vision of the heaven that saints and poets have imagined.”

When  we do find love, we find out that it is rarely true.  When we see this absence of true love in life, we can identify it as the root problem that colors human life with its dark and ambiguous hues.
If we were to define love, it is living for the sake of the other, which requires one to let go of ego and to sacrifice for the other.

For example, let's look at the relationships within a family.  It is very hard to give and to continue to give to one another and forget what we have given.

When we do not have love for one another, it is hard to back down from blaming others, arguing, become power hungry or refrain from sowing seeds of resentment within each other.

This can be quickly remedied by looking at another's point of view, to listen and really understand their opinions and different interpretations on subjects.  This is almost impossible to do without love being present.
When we look at the national level, patriotism is beautiful, but this level of love for nation falls short of what we need in order to acquire peace.  In a way, nationalism is a form of self-love even though it is on a larger scale.  This can take a monstrous turn.

Paul Tillich called it “a god who certainly proves to be a demon.”

Just take a look at North Korea, the last frontier of communism that wants to exalt its power and beliefs onto the world.  Rarely will you see a nation that is capable of unselfish love that would b able to create lasting world peace on its own.

No matter how rich, successful or aloof a person is, we all desire for true love which dominates all human life.

Philosopher Erich Fromm noted that love “is the most powerful striving in man. It is the most fundamental passion, it is the force which keeps the human race together, the clan, the family, society.
The failure to achieve it means insanity or destruction—self-destruction or the destruction of others. Without love, humanity could not exist for a day.”

Even our very cells which flow through our body unceasingly responds to love, yearns for love and drives to seek for love.  Our face was meant to communicate with others in love.  The face is meaningless in isolation away from love.

From the arched eyebrows that rise in conveyed interest, to lips capable of smiles and words of affection, the old song rings true: “You were meant for love.” As Benjamin Disraeli observed, “We are all born for love. It is the principle of existence, and its only end.”



We all yearn for unity with another and others.  This yearning for oneness in love is a glue that binds the universe together, thus, without love there is no existence.

When we search for the understanding of the principles that delineate a true way of life, there is no better way than to study the principles of true love.

When we catch on to true love, we feel that we can give all, risk all, love all for the sake of true love.  It is what motivates a mother to run barefoot over glass to save her child.  It moves an older student  to confess to a teacher, "It is my fault," and to take a punishment that his younger brother may have incurred.
It was the motivator for Jesus to stand against his accusers, to love them after their beatings and taunts and to take the unjust way of the cross.
Love is a sustainer. As Viktor Frankl recounted of his life in a Nazi concentration camp:

I understood how a man who has nothing left in this world still may know bliss, be it only for a brief moment, in the contemplation of his beloved. In a position of utter desolation, when man cannot express himself in positive action, when his only achievement may consist in enduring his sufferings in the right way—an honorable way—in such a position man can, through loving contemplation of the image he carries of his beloved, achieve fulfillment.

“Death, where is thy sting?” Romeo inquired when he realized that his love for Juliet went beyond her demise.
“Death, be not proud,” penned poet John Donne, for love lasts beyond death. Many widows and widowers continue to love, talk to, and pray for their deceased partners, cherishing hopes of meeting again on the other side.  The ultimate experience is that of divine love.

“Man is meant to be intoxicated by the love of God,” Reverend Moon has declared.

“Since humanity lost this original capacity, people seek unnatural, artificial intoxication—getting drunk on alcohol, marijuana, or other drugs. The perfect individual, however, is created to be intoxicated in God’s love. There is nothing that can go beyond this feeling of joy. Every cell in your body will explode with joy. Your eyes and ears, the tissues in your face, your arms and legs—everything will be newly alive in a rapture of joy.”

To paraphrase Saint Paul, no power, no principality, not even the gates of hell, can prevail against it. Inevitably, then, our search for the true way of life will take love as its major theme.

True love alone has the power to breach distances, resolve problems of opposites, and dissolving the complexities into an integrated whole. All of this only comes through true love and that alone.

Where Does Love Begin?

Where does life begin?  What about love, lineage and conscience?

All of these begin with the joining of the sexual organs of a man and a woman.  Has there ever been a case where two men or two women were able to begin life and start a new lineage?  The only way is through the opening of the secret place and exchanging possession.

Ideals of man cannot be triggered without the sexual organ of a woman.  In the same context, a woman's ideals cannot begin unless a man's sexual organ touches her.  This is an important point.

What is a marriage ceremony?

It is the connection of love, the life connection, lineage connection and the conscience connection.  


Love Begins

Where God and man's love begins should not be separated and should begin at the same point.

With two different starting points, as we witnessed after the Fall, a unified peaceful world will not be possible.  God and man's love should absolutely begin at the same point.

Once a perfected Adam and Eve marry centering upon God as their root, then Adam and Eve become God substantially.  Then, Adam's ceremony would be God's own marriage ceremony.

God being an invisible God, dwells within Adam and Eve who are visible God. 

God is absolutely vertical and man is horizontal creating a ninety degree angle. To obtain this knowledge was not easy.  The author of the Divine Principle agonized over the solution to the question
"Where does God and man's love begin". Then through this pain, he heard a voice from heaven say that God's love travel the shortest distance.

That shortest distance means any vertical line which intersects with a horizontal line at a ninety degree angle. If it is ninety-one degree angle it is too short and if it is eighty-nine degrees it is too long. The path of True Love is an exact ninety degree angle.

Man and woman's love meet in a straight line and so does God's and they intersect at a ninety degree angle.

"This is the very central place where God's and man's love meet [indicating to the board]. Man represents the sun and woman represents the earth. The sun radiates towards earth. When a man becomes a great man, his wife also becomes great. [Father draws on the board.]

This line denotes the father-son relationship, this one the husband and wife relationship and this front and rear line denotes brothers and sisters. This is the formula for the family system, centering upon True Love.

Centering upon True Love brothers and sisters never fight. As a rule of thumb, if you observe brothers and sisters fighting, their parents are not based upon True Love. Family has everything within it; it has parents, spouses, brothers and sisters. Children are equivalent to brothers and sisters. This is the formula and this is the unit." SMM

Each family is a real microcosm of the huge universe. It contains everything of the universe within it.

We learn how to love based on our relationships established within the context of a family.

If we expand this family who possesses true love for one another to the universal level it still has the same formula:

Children's world, brothers' and sisters' world, parents world and spouses' world.  This is the formula to build a peaceful society at every level.

There are four different levels.

When good education takes place within a family, when the children grow up and move into society, then everywhere they go they will behave according to that education. Everywhere they go they will find parent figures and respect them; every woman a man may meet he would treat with the same respect as his own wife, sister and so forth.

This would make such a person welcomed everywhere.

The family contains within itself the universal foundation.  Imagine a society where strangers would treat each other with the same respect and love as the members of their own family.  This would be heaven on earth.


Principles of the Universe

We spoke in previous posts about smaller entities living for the sake of the whole and how communism had used this to their advantage on the societal level and enslaving the smaller for the sake of the whole.  The original way that has been taught through the Completed Testament is that the  individual must live for and be absorbed by the family; the family likewise must live for and be absorbed by the clan.

At each level, there is a principle of the smaller existing for the larger.  The person is willing to live for the sake of the other through love.  Also, in this way, the smaller does not disappear, but becomes just as great as the larger entity - not be ruled by it.  Just as a farm girl who marries the president can become just as great through his love for her.

This was the key of the original creation. Why do we do this? Because a greater being comes to exist for everyone.

We should have the mindset "whatever belongs to me also belongs to my family. Whatever belongs to my family belongs to the tribe; the tribe's property belongs to the nation; the nation's property belongs to the world; the world's property is cosmic property; cosmic property belongs to God".  This was God's original plan.  Everything went in the opposite direction when man decided to take their own path away from God.

Through love, God gives man everything He possesses.  Since human beings are God's True Love partner, eventually whatever belongs to God belongs to me.  This makes a complete circle. God needs a True Love Partner and that love partner is humankind.

We Went Away From Ideal of Creation

The selfish and Communistic viewpoint of creation is that whatever someone else possesses belongs to me and whatever belongs to me is mine.  This is the opposite direction of living for the greater whole.  God created man huge enough to accommodate all of these things mentioned above.

America was founded on the Christian standpoint of the Bible and lived for the sake of others.  So, should America invest in Africa?  Yes, in order to make whatever America has become the property to the world.

This concept is not widely accepted in today's climate of debt and worry of America's great fall, but this is the principle of the universe.

By America following this principle in the past, it became the only country to become the richest country in only a 200-year period.  For a revolving circle to form, the highest should belong to the lowest.

Haven't you noticed that when a politician is found to have misused public money or encountered scandals that people lose hope in this individual.  It is because they were not following the principles of living for the sake of the whole - the universe protects an individual who lives for love.

Everybody wants to remain in the highest position possible forever, but nothing in existence operates properly in this way.

When we look at man and woman from a scientific viewpoint, they are created as a plus and a minus circuit.  God has male and female characteristics.  Which part of the body makes these two separate entities into one body?  It is the sexual organ.

There has been much criticism for a religious leader that continuously mentions man's sexual organs.  But God created it as the most important and holy, holy place.  After Adam and Eve's misuse of their sexual organs before maturity, it became the most evil and worst place.  If they had waited until the blessing of God's marriage, it would have become an object of praise as true life, lineage and love begin here.

But after the Fall, this holy place became something to avoid, to hide and became vulgar.  However, we must recognize that the key to true happiness, hope and freedom from this hellish world is there.

Therefore, man's hope is a true woman and woman's hope is a true man.

Man's absolute truth being is woman. Woman's absolute truth being is man.

We directly inherited our conscience from God centering upon True Love.  This is why when our body follows the direction of our conscience which is linked to God, and have mind and body unity, we become a perfected being.

Our conscience is the vertical me centering upon God's True Love and the body is the horizontal me.  The vertical love place and the horizontal love place connect the vertical line with the horizontal line at a ninety degree angle which is the sexual organs of man and woman.

This is the only point where love, life, lineage and conscience connect.  The holiest place is the original source of love and the central palace of love.  This is why when Adam and Eve connected sexually without God, everything including heaven turned upside down.

We should understand how blessed a place this is.

Then when we look at the way Americans treat love these day, it is a lifestyle filled with sex with multiple partners and no commitments.  Can this lead the country in the right direction?  What can become of people who misuse this holy place?  Those in the Roman times went down the same dirty road of behavior and met their end.

Would God like to see the holy place misused through homosexuality, lesbianism and free sex?  America has been able to spread this misuse all over the world through media and Hollywood making it look glamorous and free to do whatever you please with love.  This is a false culture which America lives, far from its founding Christian principles of family.

Looking through many posts about how world peace will be achieved on the individual level, it may seem that love is overemphasized.  But if we cannot maintain this sacred place securely, then we cannot keep our love, life, lineage and conscience.  What kind of world is it if it contains individuals who have neither of these?  It is the opposite of a world of peace.

True Love, True Life, True Lineage and true conscience can never be obtained without going through the joining of sexual organs centered on God.

This is why the husband and wife are so important.  God's enemy of love knew this and focused on damaging the man and woman relationship and destroyed God's original path for mankind.

We must clearly understand that the beginning of the world problems begins with the misuse of the sexual organs.

History attests to nations going to war over the loss of love.

What loving wife would gladly lose her husband to the bed of another woman?  What true spouse would be grateful to share their loved one with multiple partners?

Seventy percent of divorce in America is said to originate from women. Women take part actively in free sex here. This is unthinkable. Sometimes by force, and sometimes voluntarily, it all comes from ignorance. Women are worse than men in this regard.

Even though the original world or Utopia has faded away in history, within each fallen person there is still the desire to live in such a place inside of the conscience.  This is a hopeful light for salvation from this hellish reality far from God's plan in which we live.

There may seem like there is no hope for man to live in a peaceful world, but only in the conscience is this life still remaining within us. 

We can look at the different levels we must restore like a ladder.  There is an individual ladder, a family ladder a clan-level ladder and so forth.  We cannot jump over the different levels.  

The shortest way is the only way in which you can travel up a ladder. Going up step by step, this is the ladder of conscience.

We already know how this misery occurred through the Fall. The remedy for this is to suppress our bodily desires and give rise to our conscience. That conscience is very much bound and gagged right now.

The way to restore the misery caused by the fallen misuse of the sexual organs is to suppress our bodily desires and give rise to our conscience.  Right now, our conscience is bound and gagged in the secular world.

God gave us religion in order to teach us how to overpower our fallen bodies and follow our God-like conscience.  The day of liberation of our conscience will arrive very soon.

Which is larger, a sack of conscience or a sack of love?  The sack of love.  What kind of love?  True Love.

This is because conscience is born out of love.  Conscience is in the minus position to love.  When you place True Love into the bag of conscience, everything becomes so filled up that it does not desire anything else.

When the conscience is filled with great love one can feel like they can dance, sing and enjoy life and enjoy any position they may be in even if they fall and hurt themselves they will remain happy filled with this love.

This is how we subjugate the body and make it submit to its master, conscience.

Let us march forward towards the era of the liberation of conscience. In order to do so we have to accomplish these three points.

No one realized how important our conscience was into bringing down the world of evil and transforming it into a world of good.  Our conscience has always been with God.

The conscience remains the same constantly. 

My parents are only connected to me by one generation before me. Therefore, conscience is more important than my parents. My conscience is my utmost teacher because it is directly connected with God. When you follow your good conscience absolutely, you don't need a teacher.


God is an absolute teacher. Conscience existed before life itself, and it is my best teacher.


If Adam and Eve united first with God through His marriage, we would not have to pray to God because we would be God and dwell with Him.  Because of conscience we can be higher than God Himself in this respect.  This is the original plan.

The first time this point was realized it was a shock.

God gave us the three blessings based on this principle of the smaller becoming greater by being absorbed by the larger entity.  Therefore, God bequeath even Himself to us to make his counterpart greater.

When we understand this point, we see that many religious leaders have taught many things throughout history bringing more confusion and war.  Now we live in a time where our conscience is being liberated and everything is becoming God-oriented.

When we fully understand that we are God's partner and not his slave, we want to make the world a world of conscience.  We want to make a world of peace.

God would help us in our efforts for a peaceful world and has been through all of history.  When we exert our power in order to restore this fallen world it is possible with God to have a world of peace.
Then we understand how precious man's value is.

When we compare this original value of man, we see that we have been reduced to appear as maggots in comparison.  How sad a situation for God who knew our greater worth.

Conscience is higher even than parents. The conscience exists before the teacher himself. This means that the conscience is ahead of the teacher.

Do you think that God or your conscience knows first what you do? Clearly your conscience knows first.

Your conscience knows whatever you have done good or bad in your life thus far. It is like your heavenly computer. 

When you ascend to the spiritual world your tape will be played back to you in one minute reviewing your whole life's deeds.  It is important to know these things.

Even the most loving parents, because they are older than you, cannot stay with you and protect you forever.  However, your conscience will.  When the daughter marries, the protection of the daughter ends.  However, that daughter's conscience will protect her life always from going astray.

Before God knows our actions, our conscience already knows what we are going to do.  This is why it is important to follow our mind and subdue the body.

Conscience exists even before God. 

If we understand this part of the teaching then our style of prayer will change. Where does the infinite God live?  He lives in the True Love dwelling place.  Where is this place?  It is in the most holy, holy place.

The sexual organ of man and woman.   We must restore this place and protect it forever.  Now that we see the importance of our holy place, our lives should be conducted accordingly to protect it.


"Therefore, when you wake up and throughout the day you have to give thanks to your holy place. Actually we should bow down to one another as husband and wife for each other's holy place. Do you understand? (Yes.)

That place is the starting place of heaven on earth and in heaven. Without this the Kingdom of Heaven on earth cannot come into existence.

Happiness, hope, peace and freedom all want to live on that base. But without this holy place none of these ideal concepts can come into being. Are you clear? (Yes, Father.) This place is the universal ideal center. Now you understand how precious is that place.

Do you understand or not? (Yes.)

Through the Fall we lost everything -- the True Self, True Family, nation, world, and universe. All things were lost, including God Himself.

Centering upon True Love the vertical Father is God. Now we understand everything.

You have to realize just how great and joyful is our position. We should feel pride and gratitude to be in such a position. If you share this with the world you can instantly create a revival of such a strong magnitude.

It depends whether or not you decide to keep your mouth closed or open it and share this content. You have to open your mouths and share this truth in order to help your brothers and sisters to resurrect. Can you do this? (Yes, Father.)

Role Sports Play Bringing World Peace

Who would have thought that sports could play in developing skills and bringing about world peace.  Who has ever given thought to this ideal?  When we look at sports in a different view point, it can become clear.

What type of sports is ideal to bring people from all different cultures and backgrounds together?  Basketball, golf, hockey, Rugby?  What type of sports and team activities could have such a range that all people would come together and enjoy activities together just to experience the game?

Reverend Sun Myung Moon thought of many activities that seemed non-related to religion in hopes of bringing about a peaceful world.  Using the sport and excitement of soccer became a major cataclysm for bringing people from every age, country and religion through the common love of the high-spirited sport.

The following speech he gave before an enthusiastic crowd:


"In particular, I would like to express my deepest gratitude to those leaders participating in the 17th World Cup co-hosted by Korea and Japan, who are honoring this rally with their presence in spite of their busy schedules.

Today, the twelfth of June, is the thirteenth day of the World Cup. Soccer fever is heating up around the world. Each day, we see the drama of competition played out in the midst of upset and upheaval, joy and disappointment. In the midst of this, a celebration of friendship and excitement is unfolding that transcends race, ideology and national boundaries.

As we gather here today, we must think deeply about how to work through sports to bring peace to all humanity.


The Bible says, "Blessed are the peacemakers; for they shall be called the children of God." 

Matthew 5:9 


Throughout my life, I have attended God in the context of religion, academia, media, culture, the arts, sports and other fields by putting these words of the Bible into practice in accordance with the will of Heaven.

My life of more than eighty years has been a continuous offering of sincerity and dedication for the establishment of God's will and His ideals of freedom and happiness and the realization of a world of peace.

As you are well aware, through its long history the world has tried to bring about peace by every possible means. But it is not a problem that can be solved by the political, economic or military power of any one country.

The fact is that there needs to be a fundamental truth, an ideology of peace, that can be applied to families, clans, peoples, nations, the world and even the cosmos.

The world of true ideals, true love, true life, true lineage and true peace is God's ideal of creation and is also the long-cherished desire of humankind. But when we speak of ideals, happiness, love and peace, we must begin by inquiring as to the origin of these.

Here, the fundamental truth is to be found in a life of serving, sacrificing, and living for the sake of one single reciprocal partner. The fundamental principle of the orderly existence of the universe, is that, like God, each and every being exists for the sake of other beings.

The omniscient God is the king of wisdom. By His wisdom, He created worlds of beings in such a way that subject and object partners have to live for one another in order to bring about true love, true happiness and true peace.

All beings are interconnected and possess dual purposes. At the center of each entity, there are dual purposes. There is the purpose relating to its internal character (sung sang) that seeks the good of the larger whole, and there is the purpose relating to its external form (hyung sang) that seeks the entity's own preservation and comfort.

 Exemplifying the internal purpose, the action of protons and electrons make it possible for an atom to exist. Atoms, as positively and negatively charged ions, form molecules. Nutrients composed of such molecules make it possible for plants to grow. As plants multiply, they provide food for animals.

Also, oxygen and carbon dioxide are exchanged between animals and plants. Bees and flowers coexist with each other. If we observe the heavenly bodies, we see that the sun and its planets engage in a give and take action that allows the planets to revolve around the sun at a precise distance while maintaining their own rotation.

Early in my life, I realized that there is a fundamental truth of the universe: all beings exist for the sake of others.

This truth applies everywhere, so when applied to the parent-child relationship, true parents come to be and true sons and daughters come to be.

It is an undeniable truth that the state in which parents and children can achieve happiness comes about only when the family members live for the sake of each other. Existing for the sake of others is a fundamental principle of the universe. Only when we stand on this principle can we complete all happiness, all peace, all ideals and all love.

If we expand the principle of living for the sake of others, we can transcend nations and ethnicity and bring about a world of peoples who live for the sake of others. Without a doubt, such a world would be the world of perfect true love, true ideals, true peace and true happiness that humanity has long hoped to achieve.

If we hold onto the principle of living for the sake of others, we can go anywhere." SMM


When you practice a life of true love and live for the sake of others while on earth, you will receive God's blessings for eternity.  You will discover then that there is no happiness greater than this.  This is because God is the central being to heaven and earth.

We must understand the importance that by living for the sake of another person, we take on the central position of that environment.  Then because it is central, that being has the capability to develop a unified environment and a world of peace.

Today, there are many religions with many different scriptural texts. But their core teachings all boil down to the words, "live for the sake of others."

What are the characteristics of a true religion, a religion of love, a religion of ideals and happiness that can lead people to peace?

You already know the answer: the religion that says it will sacrifice itself for the sake of the individual, for the sake of the family, for the sake of the clan, for the sake of the people, for the sake of the nation, for the sake of the world, for the sake of heaven and earth and for the sake of God is a true religion, an ideal religion, a religion that can lead the world's people to peace and happiness.

The terms peace and happiness can only arise in the context of a reciprocal relationship.  No one can experience true happiness alone?  Isn't this true?  Would anyone wish to spend their whole birthday or anniversary alone in their room all day without even one warm word?

Knowing this, the conclusion is that the happiness of the entire universe begins when each individual's makes an effort to unify.  This point is where peace and ideals begin and are connected.

We see the evidence that humans working on their own has not been able to create peaceful ties between a people and nations.  Why is this so?  Because fallen individuals only seek out concerning their own benefit.  They use each other for their own purposes and advancement.  Every person chases after his or her own interests and then accumulates as much material good as possible.  Isn't this true to some extent among you and the people in your lives?

Even scholarly and successful members of the government, those highly-respected in their communities and people in leadership positions scramble to increase their own power and interests.  This has been the basis of everyone's lives.  In this kind of environment where each individual lives only for their own sake, conflict will never cease.

We can look at how living for one self goes against the basic principles just by observing our own body.  Did the eye come into existence so that it could live for itself?  What about the mouth?  No, each was created in order to have a reciprocal partner.  The ear came into being so that it could hear for the sake of the whole body.

What about the nose or our hands?  In fact, men's and women's sexual organs were not created for the man and woman themselves.  Instead, the husband's sexual organ was created for the sake of his wife and the wife's sexual organ is for her husband.


This is where peace begins:

The point where each person lives for the sake of another.  A mother's very body is structured so that is serves others and not her own purpose.  Her breasts are for the nourishment of her children.  Her body is for the sake of her husband and children.

Reverend Moon continues his speech about the importance of linking sports to peace:

"Throughout our lives, my wife and I have worked together in many different areas to bring about one peaceful world, a world in which people live for the sake of others.

Representative examples of this are the interreligious, international, inter-NGO activities and education of both ruling party and opposition party that we are conducting in order to bring down the barriers of race, religion, national boundaries and language.

Another is the Family Federation for World Peace and Unification, which promotes the true family movement and pure love movement.

In the academic field, efforts in the higher education and practice of the philosophy of peace are being made at the University of Bridgeport in the United States and Sun Moon University in Korea.

In the media field, The Washington Times in the USA, The Segye Times of Korea and Sekkai Nippo in Japan, and other media organs throughout North and South America, have created a network.

This soon will expand to 185 countries and contribute greatly toward bringing the world's people together.

This is a rally of leaders in the world of soccer. Soccer fever is sweeping Korea and Japan and the entire world has come together in a festive atmosphere.

Ultimately, though, the proper way for world of sports is that the Olympics and the World Cup should guide the world's people along the way of reconciliation and peace. Occasionally, there is cause for concern over money and power combining to contaminate the pure spirit of athleticism.

It is necessary to examine carefully whether salaries offered top players are excessive and whether wealthy parties are engaging in unethical speculative or monopolistic practices.

In an effort to contribute toward world peace through sports, I have invested in the development of soccer in Korea by founding the Il Hwa professional soccer team some time ago and more recently, I had Sun Moon University begin a soccer team. In Brazil as well, we are managing the CENE and Sorocaba professional soccer teams.

My interest in the management of soccer teams goes beyond business pursuits. My first priority is to teach sportsmanship to young people of the university soccer teams, so that they can be trained to join professional teams and contribute to world peace through sports.

It is well known that soccer began in England. It was developed at Eton College, a school for the sons of aristocrats, where, in addition to knowledge, physical fitness was considered an important quality for leaders.

Because of the importance of teamwork in soccer, however, it did not take long for soccer's popularity to grow beyond the aristocracy and encompass the larger society.


Soccer Follows the Principle

Even if one player is exceptionally skillful, it is still difficult for a team to win unless the other members can back up this individual. The ball is round and can roll this way or that, but the ball is honest and it rolls where a player kicks it. There is a principle of purposeful community underlying the game of soccer.

In this game, there is no way for established powers to use trickery to preserve their own position. Neither is there an order according to which teams are allowed to score goals. In soccer, it does not matter whether a country is large or small, strong or weak. Goals are scored honestly, bringing joy and happiness to everyone.

In soccer, there is only the energetic communal harmony that comes from team play.

Soccer and other sports, as well as the entirety of leisure culture, have developed over a long period of time. Sports were originally created in order to create strong bodies and maintain safe societies. Today, they have developed globally and bring enjoyment and enrichment to the lives of billions of people.

So, it is important that we seek ways by which sports can contribute to the achievement of peace for all the world's people.

The world stands at the dawn of a new millennium. Astonishing developments in information technology are bringing the ideal of one world family into reality. On the other hand, it is also true that the world faces a moral crisis with the danger that spiritual values will be destroyed.

We must look to sports for constructive proposals on how to overcome hedonism and self-centered values among young people.

Sports employ rules to insure fair competition. Thus defined, competition differs from conflict; the two exist on different levels. Conflict appears in the savage and bloodthirsty law of the jungle by which animals live.

Here, one side uses physical and military strength to negate the other side's existence and annihilate him. Competition in sports is different from this. Rules are established, the winner is decided in accordance with these rules, and each side acknowledges the other.

A gentlemanly spirit governs sports. As large numbers of people watch, the athletes demonstrate the attitude of fair play and sportsmanship as they compete based on their talents, abilities and strength.

They follow the laws and rules that have been agreed upon, and they submit themselves to fair judgment by the referees.

Fair play is considered the most important aspect of the game. It requires obeying laws and following the rules. Breaking the rules and committing fouls result in the loss of points, expulsion from the game and the eventual loss of the privilege of participation.

The offending players are punished. Athletes pour out all their energy, sincerity and courage for the sake of the victory and glory of the individual and his or her country. The victorious players receive a crown of laurels, a gold medal and a bouquet of flowers.

They are congratulated with thunderous applause and their national anthem is played as their country's flag is raised. Such a ceremony brings the height of emotion, the ultimate glory and a celebration for us all.

The virtue of sports is when the loser does not dwell on his own disappointment, but applauds the accomplishment of the winner.

In sports, there is the beautiful fragrance of friendship and love among like-minded people. The beauty of the players appears when they demonstrate sportsmanship. They must work hard, shed sweat and tears and achieve incredible standards of skill. They must be trained in the virtues of fairness, proper order and etiquette.

The realm of sports has made large contributions to modern society. It has contributed to our physical and mental health and has provided excitement through skillful play. The love of sports can transcend religious dogma and political ideology.

All people can become one through sports, so sports can spread a banquet of reconciliation and peace, where the hearts of all the world's people can come together as one.

Though the Cold War has ended, the world is yet unable to throw off its common yoke of suffering. As the September 11 tragedy demonstrated, the world is in agony over conflict and strife between religious and ethnic groups.

In addition, the world's natural environment is being destroyed. Young people who are to be responsible for the future are becoming cynical, fascinated with materialism and hedonism, falling prey to drugs and abandoning civil norms.

In order to solve these problems, we need to graft the authentic spirit of sports onto a foundation of the truth that teaches us to live, like God, for the sake of others, and we need to put this spirit and truth into practice. In this way, we will be able to build a world of harmony, peace and unification.

For this reason, I am happy to announce the establishment of the Sun Moon Peace Cup. The Sun Moon Peace Cup is the Cup of the Sun and the Moon, the Cup of the Parents of Heaven and Earth and the Cup of Peace. May it shine forever with the light of pure love.

The Sun Moon Peace Cup is different from existing trophies, for they exclude God, emphasize entertainment and idolize celebrity. We must know God and the spirit world thoroughly. We must walk the path of truth.

The Sun Moon Peace Cup will be a festival. It will bring together efforts toward the original world of God's ideal in the fields of religion, science, politics, economics and sports, including the unique contributions of women and youth.

In it, people will express their desire for humanity to come together as one large family. It will serve as a particularly important starting point for our progress toward the ideal of true peace centering on God's true love, transcending barriers between races, countries, ethnic groups, religions and ideologies.

The Sun Moon Peace Cup will not only celebrate a healthy spirit of humanity. As our spiritual nature continues to develop, it will become a festival of internal and external reconciliation and harmony within the world community.

It will be a place where people unite in one mind, as one family, and in one heart, to open the way toward God's ideal of creation, a world of peace, freedom and happiness. I want to inform you that Pele has already promised to work with me for this great cause.

I would like to ask FIFA, Pele Promotion and everyone here to take a leading role and contribute significantly toward the development of the Sun Moon Peace Cup. I pray that God's love and blessing will flow abundantly upon you and your families. Thank you."

Grow Or Die

Everyone has the idea to be the greatest whether they are low or high in society.  Our consciousness demands this uplifting of the individual.  It only becomes wrong when the desire to be above is self-centered or for the destruction of others.   Where does this conscientiousness come from that makes us want to be better?

This is derived from a cause and effect relationship.

No action is initiated without purpose; all actions have some purpose. 

Everything has a purpose: the bird sings, bees hum, the butterfly flies and the wind blows.  The blinking of your eye, your breathing and when you smile it is not for yourself but all have a purpose and a reason.

Scientists maintain that all things in the universe are made up of energy.  Energy exists everywhere, as well as force or power.  Which is first, energy or force?  If we see from both viewpoints, we see that either answer seem correct.

Action comes from a definite source; the subject and object precede action.  If God is omnipresent, then He must have both the subject and object qualities within Him.  This describes God's dual characteristics which are very real and are important to our lives.

Since the beginning of the universe and individual entity, subject and object was the beginning of the existence of self.  Everything in the universe consist of two different qualities or parts.  Each part is involved in give and take action.

Force is the consequence of the subject and object having give and take action.  If parents have give and take of love, then children will be the result.  Children are like the force.  This is God's creative process.  God is the cause.


The force has within itself the possibility of give and take action because it is the result of give and take. When we think of force we immediately comprehend two qualities of subject and object, cause and result.


When we think of our existence, we think of the power within ourselves but before that we realize that it all originated through give and take action within us.

Therefore, you are the subject body of force.

We are very powerful.  The mind and body form a subject-object relationship.  When they give and take, a power is created within us.  Why is that?  Because the cause has this quality, so the result has to be that way.  This is very logical reasoning.

When scientists study how life forms come into existence, they make the conclusion that energy just randomly evolved into higher and more complex beings.  Science says that man came into exist by chance.  This is not a logical theory and it is in need of further examination.  It is more acceptable that subject and object together form a self which would be a greater subject and take on another object.

Together they would form some higher life form or bigger self as a new subject and take an object, and so on, forming greater and greater entities.

In our social life, we want to expand our sphere of influence and increase our areas of activity and not stay stationery.  As a subject on one level you wouldn't be satisfied alone, you want to find an object on that level.  Then this subject-object unity becomes a greater subject on another level.

Scientists explain this phenomena through random mutation saying it all happens by chance.  We quickly see that this is false logic.  Since they cannot come up with a better theory, they just use this theory without any basis of truth to it.

The reasoning states that a small thing just all of the sudden becomes big.  Boom!  Even one who is not a scholar or well learned, would choose the logic of the subject-object explanation over the chance theory.

How does that theory tend to explain how a small entity just becomes big into existence?  This theory does not take in account the original force that causes a smaller cell to grow bigger or enable a small group of cells to become bigger step by step.

Force is the result of give and take action.

There is no give and take without purpose.  Nothing happens without purpose.  A chemistry student or teacher who tries to mix a plus element and minus element of two different qualities will never get a reaction.  But, if he prepares a compatible subject and object, when he brings them close together a reaction will automatically happen.

The explanation based on give and take describes science more adequately than theories of probability or random occurrence.

We spoke about how a person wants to become greater and greater and will become frustrated if they are not able to do so.  This does not happen by chance either.  Now we know that we want to be greater because it is our conscience at work.

Everything is included in the realm of the subject-object relationship.  This means that "I" exists within a broad universe and lives within a broad purpose.  Therefore, our conscience directs us to become bigger and greater.  We must understand the reason for this so we will want this centered on God's purpose.

When we look at the four position foundation (God, spouse, parent, sibling) we see a circular action.  To create this action, it must have a plus-minus, plus-minus not a plus-minus, minus-plus.  Name one entity that cannot move or turn.

If there is anything that refuses to move, it will cease to exist.  

The whole universe is full of life and vitality.  Even the cells in our bodies are always active.  A collection of these cells, which is you, is even more active.

Our conclusion is that this big universe moves with a certain purpose, not haphazardly. Even one of the billions of tiny cells in your body has plus and minus and is an inseparable part of the universe, and so it wants to become as great as the whole universe.

Even a tiny cell in your body will protest if the body no longer wants to become greater.  This is why each person has hope for a greater future.  If a person is forced to stay in the same situation for the rest of their life, they lose the will to live.  We see this with many of the elderly after retirement or in patients living with chronic pain from an illness.

What existed before force existed?

The action of subject and object. And where does action come from? Action derives from a subject and object, and the whole thing takes place because of the whole purpose.

There are dual purposes present:

One is to maintain oneself, the other is to become part of the larger self, which is the universe.  The reason man takes an object is to preserve and perfect himself and then become one with woman.  The purpose of man and woman coming together is to have children.  Then they stand in the same position as their ancestors.

Let's "look" at our eyes as an example.  The eye does have a self-existent reason, but our eyes serve the whole body.  The ear works on it own automatically, but it also helps the whole body.  Everything has a right to exist because of its purpose of the whole.

It is likened to a car with many complicated parts, but it will not run even with the most insignificant small piece missing.  This piece exists for the purpose of the whole.

How is it that the grand universe is interrelated?

As individuals, we have dual objectives:  one is to protect the self and the other is to make sure that this self unites with another self to make a bigger self.

The theory of evolution has been able to understand the purpose of the individual need of self-preservation, but it has not been able to explain the reasoning of an entity's purpose in relation to the whole.

For instance, it theorizes that a zebra is eaten by a lion seems barbaric, but without zebras and other game, the lion could not simply sustain life.  Therefore, the zebra has just as much importance as the lion and lives for the purpose of the whole.

Even conscientious scholars do not have a clue how to answer the question of what is the purpose of the universe.  Their conclusion has been that it does not have a purpose, but it just continues to go on and on and will one day perish.

We understand that this is not true.  As it seems that one thing will perish, but actually something else will be formed.  This happens because everything even the universe has a purpose.  This principle applies to every aspect of the universe.  When individuals gather, it might be for their own needs, but the purpose for them forming is for a greater being.

If one desires to have a great character, they must be willing to become the object to the greater subject which is the universe and they must be worthy of it.  Today, those of the Caucasian race tend to stick together and ignore or exclude other races.  But this is not their purpose.  They are to embrace other colors.

Individual purpose must always follow the purpose of the whole.

People of conscious may wonder why the big fish eat the little fish, why animals are allowed to eat other animals, why the powerful eat the weak.  This whole scenario seems chaotic, but according to the principle of creation, the smaller things exist for the larger purpose.  So the lion is justified in eating the rabbit.

This principle is the key to solving the whole problem.  The smaller entity exists for the purpose of the greater existence which is ultimately the whole universe.  This does not mean that the whole or the greater abuses or mistreats the smaller.

Americans don't know that they exist for the purpose and betterment of the whole. Who says so? God says so. More objectively, the universe says so.

Members of the Unification movement are the most consistent people in all of history because they understand this principle of small sacrifice for the larger.  They understand that the individual should exist for the family, the family for the tribe, the tribe for the nation and the nation for the world.

This should not only be theory, but we should live this way.  In a way this is kind of selfish.  By the small going on to bigger and bigger levels, we make ourselves available to become big individuals.

This principle clears up any questions about whether any activity is good or not so good.  For instance there was a dance called kisco dancing - "co" means "nose and 'kis" means "kiss".  Was this dance between a couple for America, the world or for just the couple themselves.

This dance does nothing for the whole and it is confined to the individual purpose.  Their development stops.  It is deemed a sin when one is living self-centered.

In order to live a life for the betterment of the whole, we want to get rid of whatever would harm the whole.  If it is for your betterment or the world's betterment than disco dancing 24 hours a day is good.  North Korea is always threatening other countries, if disco dancing could stop their advance then disco dancing is good.  Tomorrow's post we will speak further how sports can play a role in bringing about peace.  Imagine instead of war all the countries depend on the Olympics to solve problems.

No one today is able to place a true reason what is man's purpose.  From the lowest to the highest level, no one understands the meaning of what the individual self is.  All of this confusion in the world of which direction to go arises from ignorance.

The principle is not learned in public or private schools, they do not know it.  It explains all of the phenomena of the past and shows how to apply it consistently all the time.  Reverend Moon is the first teacher of this knowledge of the principles of creation.

This is the beginning of a new culture.

By knowing this you can comprehend Divine Principle even better, and know why there are three stages, subject and object, how give and take occurs, and why there is a purpose. Now the Divine Principle is no longer conceptual, but something you can put into action in every circumstance.

The Divine Principle has surpassed the conceptual stage and we can place the teaching into action in every circumstance of our lives.  Now you will never forget because the Divine Principle is you.
