What Kind of Place is Spirit World?

What is the center of the spirit world and physical world? One may questions why worry about a place many people do not believe exists?

But we must be concerned about the spirit world.

There are many religions that take the path to search the world where we live eternally in relation to the spirit world.

The next world is a world where we will live eternally with God.  

This is religion;s destination and purpose.

However, do religions of today teach such a standard of living?

Religions around the world are on the decline.

We have entered the era in which people think of religion as weak and unnecessary. Or they believe that it was created by people as an idea to help in their times of troubles.

Even the central religion has declined.

America represents the Christian nations of the world. Those who grew up in Christian homes have now lost their faith and are living according to their own faith and rules outside of God will.

Heaven, the dwelling place of God, has been idealized by Christianity which is now being abandoned.  There are three reasons.

First, this is happening because they do not have a clear understanding of the existence of the life hereafter.

We favor, of course, a better situation than a bad one.

Through an innate capacity, we are ever in search of a higher dimensional realm of greater value.

This is the original human nature.  Second, it is because they do not truly know God.  Third, it is because they do not know that love is central and binds us to both God and spirit world.

These three points are not known.

Even though people of faith might know of God and the spirit world, they do not fully understand that it is a world which is centered on love.

When you are in a place of love, you will be happy whether you go up or down or stay in the middle.

Does a true wife dislike her beloved husband if he is in a higher position in society than she lives?  Does a husband dislike his beloved wife because she is in a lower position than he shares?

When you live in unity, you can go anywhere from below to above, and vice versa - even stay in the middle.  In that state, there are no restraints.

Thus, many people in the world want one unified world of peace.

This also holds true for spiritual and physical worlds and for spiritual and physical beings.

God and His love are both central to both worlds.

Fallen people on the other hand usually do not see God in this way in their mind.

Our mind and body exist in different dimensions.

The mind differs from the spirit world.

We speak of these two worlds in terms of God's love.  In order for spirit world and physical world to be united, God must be involved.

Without God's love being involved, the spirit world cannot exist.  Spirit world is linked to God.

How does our conscience differ from the spirit world?

Many people may be confused at how the mind and the spirit world differ.  They may think that the mind is in spirit.

Because of the Fall, the mind does not have anything to do with the spiritual world.

In other words, the mind of a fallen person is like a boneless body.  

This gives a realistic picture of what kind of form the mind has.

The spirit has a spirit body and a spirit mind.

It requires spiritual food in order to stay healthy and grow just like the physical body.  The spirit mind corresponds to the spiritual world.

It definitely relates to God.  Therefore, if we do not have a relationship with God, then this spirit mind will not come into being.

We must clearly understand that the spirit and mind are two different things.

Each of our fallen minds does not have a relationship with God.  

God has left that.  He cannot either relate or control our mind directly.

Your mind changes, by going one way and then it goes in another direction.  But the spiritual world and spirit beings do not.  They are able to set an eternal goal and them constantly move in that direction.  Why is this so?  Because they stand on the side of God.

Our mind that lives within each human vacillates.

What is the spirit mind?

It is the mind and the spirit uniting.

It is moving toward its new goal.  It is a motivational mind which has the ability to direct us to become our ideal selves by uniting with our conscience centered upon God.

Well, if we were not created with a spirit mind, we would not be able to search for its origin which connects us to the spirit world and to true love.

When our spirit mind sprouts, then our body experiences joy and everything follows after it.  There, everything starts to unite automatically.

Humanity's biggest problem is the separation of the mind and the body.

Our mind and body naturally become one when spiritual good energy comes into the body and creates the origin of our spirit mind.

Unless there is a revolution that occurs at the root and we discover the origin that rectifies everything from the root then there is no way to find the ideal.

How can there be result if there is not a motivating cause?

Religion's purpose is to implant within us a spirit mind.  There are several forms of religions that are centered on the spirit mind.  

Unity of the spiritual and physical worlds

If God is such a majestic being and His creation takes after His qualities, then the spiritual and physical world must be unified and not separated.

Because true love was absent, these two worlds had no substance on which to unite.

Our minds and bodies became separate; also, between religion and politics.

When we center upon love, all things become united.  This includes individuals, family, society, nation, world and cosmos can all be united.  But the work of this unification must be created with our own hands.  Otherwise, we will not be able to inherit God's original kingdom in heaven and on earth.

So, how will we be able to unify the spiritual and physical worlds?  Only through true love. Nothing else can bind the two for eternity.  Love has such a power.

The spirit world clearly exists

Unfortunately, the reality of the spirit world is not known for sure by 80% of the world's population.  Even believers, people of faith are unsure of its existence and even of God's existence.  But it is for sure there.

Without having this knowledge or ability to unify and work with the good spirit world, unification of the world is at a standstill.  We are limited at best.

We can think of a person who has a lot of money who is prepared to invest all of their assets into creating the most beautiful architectural garden of happiness.

Then we can see how God, who created the beautiful heaven and earth, created such a dwelling place.

Spirit world is such a world of beauty and depth and beyond human imagination.

One can never get tired of experiencing it or gazing upon it.  The most prized possession on earth cannot compare to even a corner of the spirit world.

Therefore, I do not want to own this earth, that is to say, I would rather go back because it does not conform to my purpose.


But, many people do not even know about or think about the world in the hereafter, and even fear such a place.  People just continue to live their life just because they were taught to follow this ungodly way.

What is the center of such a mundane lifestyle?

People are born to think that food, shelter, clothing is the most important elements of life.  These issues have become the central reason for living.

Of course, there are some elements in human relationships such as morals and morality that enable people to improve, develop and find satisfaction with one another.

But the standard of each person's morality varies, just as the races and nations.

Moral standards and social systems all vary in accordance with the world's diverse cultural backgrounds.

Because of the standards we each adopt in our lives are different from the original standard which God set forth, the existing moral and ethical standards are scattered in all directions.

These standards we have away from God's standard have not been systematized into a whole, causing much confusion and disunity among humanity.

So where are we headed?

We are not clear about this, therefore, secular people do not know whether the spirit world and God exist.

However, we are clear on the point that spirit world exists.

We not only believe it, we know it.  How?  Because since coming to the truth of the Divine Principle, you each have had spiritual experiences.  Therefore, we are in no position to deny the existence of the spirit world.

So, what path should we take?  We must follow the path which God desires.  We should follow the path of God's will, but what is His will?

There is the path of God's will that individuals must go, and the path of God's will that families must go, and also the path for the society, nation, world, and spirit world. I am the specialist. The spirit world definitely exists. 

What consequences arise from the existence of God and the spirit world?

Some people try to have nothing to do with God even though they think He exists, but this is wrong.

When we deny the spirit world and just live the worldly way, it is the same as denying the family, the nation, or the world despite if a person is a part of these.

Therefore, we desire to enter into a relationship with the greater God and the greater spirit world.  Instead of just being a part of their existence, we should strive for unity with God and spirit world.  We are moving forward toward this single purpose.

The spirit world is the driving force for faith (Saint Paul's vision of the third heaven)

Paul explains in the Bible, how he gained experience for fourteen years to see the third heaven.

After he walked a path of 14 years, he was able to know more about what he was talking about when he spoke about the third heaven.

His experience in seeing the third heaven in spirit world became the driving force which empowered him to do his missionary activities for fourteen years.  We also must have such experiences.



That also holds true for me.  I do not fear death. What made this possible? Love did. I can digest even being put in jail. Thus, I must digest and conquer today's adverse circumstances. I will conquer everything with my own hands.

When God created the spirit world

Spirit world is the equivalent to the angelic world.  The world today is in the same position as that of Adam and Eve.

God created the spirit world and angelic world before He crated His children.

Since the satanic world came to exist through our choosing to follow the archangel Lucifer's words and deeds, the spirit world also went against God's will.

Therefore, that world can only be restored after the spirit world welcomes God's will.

Also, the Lord of the Second Coming could not come to the earth until this world was able to subjugate the evil spirit world which was dominating humanity until now.

This is why we have worked until today to subjugate the spirit world and consequently, the spirit world has helped us in our mission for unification with the spirit world and physical world toward a world of peace.

Where is the spirit world?

Spirit world is in your bodies.  Therefore, you cannot escape it.

The spirit world exists.

You attend it.

Spirit world exists for this world, this world exists for the sake of the eternal world.  People may ask where is God in the world.

Some people wonder if there could be a god that exists in such an evil world.  God lives in the spirit world.

What kind of place is the spirit world?

If life only exists where we live for only eighty or hundred year on earth, then we wouldn't have to worry about problems.

But since we live eternally, this is a different story.

We have no idea how much of an unchanging world it is.

We experience racial discrimination, cultural clashes and other issues, despite these problems, we maintain values which do not pass away.  These values continue on vividly into spirit world.

Scientific advances and space exploration act like lubricants which will create the ideal world of love.

In this same way, the world is filled with the electricity of love.

There is nothing we cannot do with the electricity of love. 

We can govern the realm of spirit world through our way of thinking.

Then what is the spirit world?

It is a place that desires eternal elements.  It is the world of harmony, where everything is filled with love.

Thus, the universe gets into operative mode through just a push of a love button.

Then what is God's kingdom on earth?

Heaven is a place where all the love bulbs light up.  What about God's Kingdom on earth?  It is a place where these love bulbs light up completely.

As long as you keep a loving heart and pull the rope of love, everything else will follow.

When you pull love back, it goes back, when you pull it sideways, it moves sideways.  You can steer it however you like it.

Love does not resist, but moves automatically.

Thus, we find this concept where the spirit world is filled with the air of love.

If God's love wants to feed all of humanity at once and says in order to make them happy "Let there be food", then food will appear.

You eat the food of love in the spirit world.

The more you hear, the more you want to hear.  Within spirit world, there is no concept of being sleepy or tired there.

You look at each other with the eyes of love there.

No words have been created that can express the mystery of the spirit world.  People today try to link everything to love.

Why?

This is to be in sync with the spirit world.

Since the spirit world operates in this way, all of creation cannot help but respond to that.  They cannot abandon that position.

When you see me in your dreams, I appear to you through the waves of God's love. 


For you to have such experiences, you have to let go of ego there.  You have to sacrifice yourselves and create a vacuum.

In this vacuum, there is no memories of the fallen past, regrets or ideas of revenge or hate of another.

Once you create this vacuum, you have to become like pure gold.  Gold does not contain any other element; it is pure in itself.

Family is Training Ground of Heart

If there is a wealthy family, then what kind of fortune should the one in the child's position receive?  They should be able to inherit the fortune of the grandparents and the parents.

Why do you think we need grandparents?

We need grandparents because they represent the living history of the past, the ancestors in history who lived before.  Everyone has at least one childhood memory of loving their grandparents, hearing their stories and spending time to get to know the history of the family lineage.

The parents represent the present and the children are symbolic of the future.

Children are also the center of the whole.  The center of grandparents, the center of parents, the center of God are all founded on true love.

Thus, when you love and respect your grandparents, it means to learn to inherit all the past.  Through loving your father you learn from the present.  Through loving children you learn about the future.

So, what does one inherit from their grandfather and grandmother, and father and mother?  You inherit true love.

Although your grandfather and grandmother are old, they united in true love.  Your mother and father are united.  You should be like them and inherit the future.

But, we cannot inherit the future unless we become a true family.

When we take a look at the three generations, it is like looking at the universe.

The love of the universe resides in the true family that represents the present and future.

The Family is a Model for the Heavenly Kingdom

When we observe the animal world, we see that male and female animals love each other.  This is a textbook from which we learn about the love of the universe.

Without a grandmother and a grandfather, we feel unstable.  It is only with them that we can move straight into the Kingdom of Heaven.

Grandparents, mother, father and children will all go to the Kingdom of Heaven.  The model and textbook for all of this is the true family that is centered on God's love.  We see that this is opposite of the current families where separation, divorce, fights, selfishness and destruction is at the very core.

Those who loved the true grandparents, the true parents, the true children, the true family, nation,world and true universe will automatically go to the Kingdom of Heaven.

We can think of the ideal family as a type of educational material that teaches us how to establish the Kingdom of heaven.

A person who loves his grandfather has a model to love all the people of his grandfather's age in the world as their own flesh and blood.  If he loves the people of his parents' age as his own, he will be able to travel freely throughout all the nations.

If he thinks of the young people of all nations as his own sons and daughters, he will be able to travel freely within the Kingdom of Heaven even though there are twelve pearly gates and directions.

A person who loves people in the world as his own family will have no boundaries even when he goes to the spirit world.

Therefore, the family is a textbook which shows us how to make a connection with the Kingdom of Heaven.

When you apply this principle to the national level, then you will become a patriot.

When you apply it to the world, you will be a saint. When you practice it in heaven and earth, you will become God's children, or holy sons and daughters.  People have such a desire.

You should become a person who can embrace all the sons and daughters of every race as well as their grandsons and granddaughters.

In this way, you should stand in the position to become the owners of the family who with true parents love, and love the people of the world with true love.

When you stand in the position to represent the family that practices true love connected to the original parents through God's love, you finally enter the Kingdom of Heaven.

The Family Brings Together the Love of Three Generations

The family encompasses the whole of history, the present and the future.

What is the ultimate point that God has sought for six thousand years?  It is the true family where love is interconnected and where all are united in love.

Everything that exists comes under love's dominion.

We cannot cut our relationship with this absolute source of love.

Adam and Eve's original mission was to establish such a true family.  They were not just to end up as man and woman, but instead as God dreamed of a new family where they would be united.  This is the first starting point towards establishing men and women.

Thus to be able to enter the Kingdom of Heaven safely, you have to find a family and within the realm of that family in this world, enter and live in a place where you can feel satisfied in God's love.

Only then can you go beyond this world as well.

In order to form the family realm of love you have to be unconditional. 

Parents represent the past, the husband and wife represent the present while the children represent the future.

To love one's partner during your lifetime is the equivalent to God loving the world.

It is where the oneness of parents, a couple, and the children offer their love that represents heaven and earth.

With this as a foundation, they would tell their descendants to follow them.  The original homeland of the heart, the place where heavenly affection is felt will be remembered in heaven and earth.

What do you think that God would be looking for up until now?

He has not been seeking a subject partner, rather He has been looking for an ideal object partner.

He has searched for those who resemble God and possess the inner and outer aspects of the world He created.  The starting point would be the family.

The best representative of the universe is family. 

To be one with the parents is the same as the past and the present meeting.

At that point, you can love the past by loving your parents, love the present through loving your partner and love the future by loving your children.

Therefore, you can deeply experience the love of three generations within the realm of the family.

This is the placed where the three kinds of love are concentrated within the family.

The Kingdom of Heaven begins in the family.  It does not unfold anywhere else.

That is all the Kingdom of Heaven is:  it is a 3-D extension of the family and not something that goes beyond the family realm.  Therefore, when you embrace your husband or wife, you should think that this is a man of the world becoming one with a woman of the world.

The place where you make a condition to love all of mankind begins in no other place but within the relationships of the family unit.

Therefore it makes sense that the world's problem began with the first family, therefore, all of the problems of society can be remedied within the family.

You should live your life this way.

Loving your parents connects history with the present and paves a road for God to come to you.

Therefore, children should love their parents to connect the human beings of history with yourself as an inhabitant of the present, that is to unite the past and the present. 

Parents love your children centering on yourself to connect the present with the future.  A philosophy that practices and sings the praise of such a love for thousands of years is Unification Thought.

The Family is the Training Ground of the Heart

We cannot live separate from the heart.

Even if you are the president of a country or have global wealth or authority, you would not be able to live if you had no place to express your heartfelt joy.

Without the expression of heart, how can you feel the deepest satisfaction from the people who are under your command, office or the people who follow you?

You must feel it in your family.

You should be able to return home after a long day and feel joy through your spouse and children.  This is a primal joy.  It is the same with God.  You should be proud of this joy in front of others.

Even if God was to snap His fingers and restore the world, He would not be able to feel any joy if there is not a family centered on love to share His love.

Even though the Western trend is to abandon the family after a certain age, we need our families after all.

Parents are meant to be the head of the family and teachers should be the head of the educational institutions which represent society.

Parents assist your physical development as you grow up as well as help you emotionally.  Then why do we need school?

It trains us for life in society.

If family is the school where we learn the true basic emotions, then school is the experimental training ground of society.

But, society is not where this training ground ends.  It ends with the national level.  Once people have experienced everything from the family to the societal level, they go on to the next level.  The president is the fruit of the third stage after the formation and growth stages.

Today, many people complain about the president, but this attitude is learned within the family with children who dishonor and complain about their own parents.

A seed divides, sends roots down and a shoot up, then through circulatory action, growth begins.

After such division comes a synthesis when flowers and fruit are produced.

Schools raise the children needed by the nation through educating them to serve the nation. Training is not real life, but a preparation stage for the life they will live.

Therefore, you should not make the wrong preparations.

How do you describe a family unit?

Family is the training ground for the heart.  It is a place where you train your heart to love.  This is why you should live with affections like brothers and sisters at school and also live affectionately like brothers and sisters in a nation.

Proper parental education is needed at school, in society and also by the nation.

Parents should pass everything in the realm of heart on to their children. 

Parents should build a foundation of heart for their children through teaching them to follow their parents' rightful footsteps in living a certain way in the family, society and in the nation.

When you look at a family, it is not necessarily a good one just because you see that they have a good house and a good environment.

On the other hand, a family might have a bad environment, or a shabby house, if it offers peace and you are connected to all things in your life to it, then it is a good family.

This home has a foundation of heart where the parents and children live for the sake of each other.

This is the original homeland where memories and the source of motivation for all living begins.  Then it becomes the base to determine how much happiness we have in life.

God's Dream: World Peace

If you are an advent reader of Achieve World Peace, then you know by now that the world that we are living in and accepted as the only way to live, was not the original world God planned when He was creating the world.

God's ideal was that the first parents of humanity would grow to spiritual and physical maturity in perfection, then unite with Him.

Then they would for a True Family laying a tradition centering on God.

God's Will through Adam and Eve

Many believers have prayed and talked about this will, God's will, God's ideal for creation, His wish for what was to be.

The words are simple, but it is difficult to articulate exactly what God's will is.

We are currently leading lives of faith in order to accomplish His will.  But it is a contradiction to live a life of faith and praying that God accomplishes His will if you do not exactly know what His will is in the first place.

What do you think God wants most to be done in these Last Days?

As stated above, God's will is to see the completion of the original idea he had for creation.  The purpose He made this universe.  Then what is the center of that purpose?

Did God create for His own pleasure?  Did He create humanity to worship His power?

God created the heavens, the earth and all of creation for Adam and Eve.

The substance of this ideal is a family that was absolutely centered on God.  This is only realized when Adam and Eve become completely united that they cannot separate themselves from His realm of love.

Currently, as people of faith, we must pray, meditate, and constantly pay indemnity in order to unite with God's word.

If Adam and Eve had followed God and loved centered on Him in the beginning, then unity with God would have been automatic without the need for prayer, religion or a Messiah.

Adam and Eve become an ideal husband and wife through giving birth to children forming the four-position foundation with God in the center.

An ideal family would have formed with the union of an ideal man and an ideal woman who were individually perfected.

In order to realize the ideal family, you need more than a man or a woman.  A family is an unit after all.  A family represents the true union of a husband and wife.

It is the relationship of parents and children with the love of God at the center.  This family would therefore pass on the tradition of loving God to the next generation without ceasing.

This is God's will.

What is God's purpose of creation?

God did not create Adam and Eve to stare at them for eternity or so they would just grow old and die by themselves.  He wanted them to mature with Him at the core of their being and at the core of their love for each other.

He created them so they could build a love nest centering on God.  Then establish the true Kingdom of Heaven on Earth for humanity.

Instead, as we currently live today, the opposite world was created when they were unable to unite with God's will and purpose.

Adam represents heaven, Eve represents earth in a heavenly union.  Even though they are two separate people, when they are horizontally connected, heaven and earth are united.

When they unite based on God's love, the cosmos unite automatically.

Therefore, since the first parents did not unite based on God, heaven and earth, spirit world and physical world separated.  Heaven and earth will unite with the coming of True Parents who reverse the mistake of the fall.

God's Absolute Requirements

What was God's reason for creating the universe when He could have stayed alone?

Like an artist wants to enjoy his masterpiece and share it with others, God wanted to feel joy through the created world.

Even though God is an absolute being, He is not able to feel joy when He is by Himself.  Joy can only be experienced with an object partner.

God does not require knowledge, money or power.

God is absolute and almighty, so He does not need such things as humans desire and fight for.

No matter how advanced science and technology becomes, they will never be equal or surpass what God has created.

The universe has a certain hierarchy and is in accordance with the law of nature.  God's creation of the universe is far beyond our understanding or the research and science of human beings.

Since God is all-knowing in every area, then we can say that He is the absolute scientist.

God is everlasting, unchanging and self-existing.

Then when we consider this, if God had a wish, what would He ultimately wish for?

Would He want money or power?

The main issue is what does God desire?  Even though God is all-knowing and all-powerful and absolute, there is only one thing that humans and even He requires.  That something is none other than love.

Some people will say that God can receive joy and love all by Himself.  This is not so.  God requires an object partner with whom to share love.

If God is absolute, the question arises: Why would such an absolute being create human beings if it wasn't for power or money?

He created human beings because that was the only way He could reciprocate love.  The relationship between God, the Father and us as His sons and daughters forms an axis line.

If the two lines had been connected, then would it have been possible for human beings and God to separate their relationship of love?

If a man and woman had truly tasted God's original love, would they have been able to separate from it?  Even when bees get a taste of nectar in the springtime he cannot be separated from it.

The union of an individually perfected man and woman can form a family centered on true love once the foundation to operate the universe connecting to the axis of love is formed.  On the basis of this love, a tribe, people and world would form expanding from this couple.

God's Eternal Partner in Love

Since God created the world, you can ask Him why did He create the world.  He would tell you because He thought it was good.  He felt joy from it, and wanted to receive more joy from it.

How do you receive joy from something?

You receive joy in the form of love.  This is how we come to the conclusion that God created the world to feel joy through the realization of love.

God created the universe to feel joy through human beings and the creation becoming one and thus establishing a harmonious world of love.

God feels joy once He sees and becomes one in love with human beings, thus forming a true relationship of husband and wife.  Then they establish a family, tribe, nation and world of true love.

This was God's ideal of creation.  This was God's only dream: to realize the true ideal of love.

The problem is that such things as love, happiness and joy cannot be realized through only one being.  They cannot be realized without an object partner.  God's object of love is none other than human beings.

When humankind matures into perfected love, they can appear before God as the true object of love.  Then God becomes the God of happiness.  He is the God who has fulfilled the ideal of joy.  

We have come to believe that because God is almighty, and is the Creator of all things that He does not need human beings.  But God needs human beings in order to perfect His love.

Did you know God's love involves human beings liking each other eternally?

More importantly, it involves God liking human beings eternally.

In this way, human beings are God's eternal objects of love.  God desired to love Adam and Eve as the object partner from the first day He created them.

He would wish to look at them forever, be with them over and over again, and live with them over and over again.  Having such an object partner is God's ideal of creation.

The Original text of DP is given in Korean and the philosophy and based on the teachings of the bible and of Jesus. With the combined teachings of the Eastern philosophy and teachings of the Western bible, the Reverend has been able to tap into the hearts of people of all religions, faiths and along with non-believers for one reason: the teaching of the heart of God which is rooted in every human being.

When I first posted the "How to Have the Happiest Marriage Book" it was receiving the highest views and still gets a lot of views.

When you think about it, there is not any school for what to do once you find love or finally take the plunge into marriage   There are no rules other than our respective religions and then the opinions of those around us.  But, would we want to take the advice from people who have a history of broken relationships?

I think when it comes to obtaining the right marital advice, it does start from a source that is well grounded.  Whether it be a grandparent who has been married for over 50 years, neighbors who have  been through hell and back, yet stuck through it without a divorce.  There is the spiritual leader, our church pastors.  Yet.  Who really has the answer when it comes to the matters of the heart?

We should first take a look where the source of marriage came.  God blessed us in the Garden as a man and woman for what purpose?  Why didn't he just make Adam alone?  What good would it had been for God to love just one man?  Thank goodness he made a counterpart with a whole different view, look and mind to help stimulate more of God's internal Being.

With that said, Adam and Eve did not start their marriage in the right way - they did not start their marriage centered  on God or within the Garden of Eden.  But let's just look at the original way in which God intended.

God is suppose to give the blessing of marriage.  Marriage now is just a conditional form, not ideally approved by God Himself.  How do we know this?

If God was to conduct the first marriage, it is called the Marriage Supper of the Lamb which refers to a perfected man and a perfected woman who love absolutely centered on God this marriage would bare children with God's direct lineage.  Currently, marriages are conducted which bare children born into sin.  Does this kind of marriage sound like it holds the wish of God's ideal world?

It is far from His direction.

In this sense, God is looking for a man and woman who He can relate with His perfected self, who have walked the course of indemnity to return their respected lineages back to Him.

In other words, all marriages that are conducted on earth, need to connect directly to God.  God gave us the blessing to be linked to our counterparts, would it not make sense that we need to connect to God in order for it to work?  Marriage without the root of God can be likened to a leave blowing off the branch.  It may seem to work for a while, but it is completely disconnected from the foundation on which to stand.

The following text was written by an author who had extensive training and missions in order to train his body and mind to become united centered on God.  He had the goal to become a child that appeared  in front of God before the fall.

He understands the basic rules of no sex outside of marriage or with anyone other than their spouse, their sexual organs only belong to their spouse and that spouses live for one another.

In the book that lists the 20 habits of the happiest couple, it is advised that they are practiced at least sometimes if not everyday.

This method is used by many couples in this world, even before their marriage.

No matter how bad it seems a couple's relationship is, they can indeed improve their conjugal relationship.  We hear all of the time that marriage and relationships take a lot of work...but sometimes this kind of 'work' becomes a chore, instead of a link to bond a couple even stronger in marriage.

It is best if one has guidance on what seems to be common place.  A couple can greatly improve their marriage by following the following steps.

Method for the Improvement Through Practice

If you have not yet been practicing these habits, please read carefully and repeatedly the speeches of Dr. Rev. Sun Myung Moon (author of the Divine Principle) and Dae Mo Nim (spiritualist) in addition to this text. 

When a couple truly love one another and don't want to give up on their seemingly failing marriage, it will not be work to experiment with the daily habits, but will well up from the heart.

"After practicing these habits on an experimental basis, you may cease practicing them if you as a couple does not feel good. Nonetheless, after practicing these habits experimentally, I am sure your couple will end up in practicing them continuously because you will come to feel a deep sense of peace and goodness in your heart." 

In other words, you can feel genuinely happy, and you can feel the presence of God by practicing them.

These 10 daily habits are free to experiment without having to pay for an expensive therapists or counseling which either partner may not want to attend or follow their advice.  No matter how poor a couple may be, they can practice without worrying about getting a bill.

A couple will find they can live in happiness even into eternity by following these 10 daily-life habits while on earth.  Just simply continue to practice these daily-life habits o true love.


The Value of Holding Hands

We could easily say that “holding each other’s hand” or living “hand in hand,” which Rev. Moon and Dae Mo Nim have recommended, is the main characteristic emerging from these “10 daily-life habits that make a supremely happy couple.”

Did you know that there is a special spiritual energy which comes from our fingers and palms?  We use them to heal our bodies, to rid ourselves with negative energy and to make others feel better with a massage.  A hand massage from a partner contributes to happy feelings and to our physical health.  The art of hand holding may be lost in our current world, but is vitally important in connecting with our spouse. 

10 "Commandments of Hand holding

1. We should always walk hand in hand when we go out with our spouse.
2. We should always hold our spouse’s hand when we watch TV together.
3. We should always hold each other’s hand in bed and have pillow-talk before going to sleep.
4. We should sleep naked together in one bed every night.
5. We should call each other at least once a day during the daytime and always keep in touch.
6. We should bow down before a picture of True Parents, recite the Family Pledge, report to God facing each other and holding each other’s hands, and bow (down) to each other to close, every morning and every night.
7. We should always send off and welcome home our husband (wife), by holding his (her) hand, kissing, and/or hugging at the front door when he (she) goes out for work and returns from work.
8. We should always talk to each other politely, and with respect.
9. We should practice reading True Parents’ speeches together every day.
10. We should make love at least twice a week.

I guess number 4 made a lot of us blush or stop and reread.  Maybe some are asking?  "What, a religious site suggest us to what?"   I must bust a lot of peoples' bubbles, as probably regularly for those reading this site.  Marriage, sex, love...was designed by God and for God to be a part of it between a husband and wife.

These 10 points of advice are not my personal advice, but are from Dr. Rev. Sun Myung Moon, his wife and Dae Mo Nim. These 10 points are gathered from the guidance of True Parents and Dae Mo Nim, concerning our lives as a husband and wife.

By following this lists, our conjugal relationship will tremendously improve and be uplifted by a strong ascending wind current. If you haven’t practiced any of these habits yet, I strongly recommend that you immediately put them into practice.

Try them out! You have nothing to lose!

I would like to present True Parent’s and Dae Mo Nim’s speeches that support these “10 habits that make a supremely happy couple.”

1. We should always walk hand in hand when we go out with our spouse.

Most Asians have the habit of the husband walking ahead of the wife, sometimes walking so fast they leave the wife behind.  The founder of the Family Federation who is Korean, walks hand and hand with his wife.  Dae Mo Nim is a spiritualist who suggest that when holding hands it is while walking outside and in the couple's daily lives.

Even as an "elderly" couple, the founder and his wife would hold hands while watching television and desire for others to learn how to interact in their own marriage by observing them.  They have even influenced the President and First Lady of Korea and leaders to walk in public hand and hand.

As we can tell from the practice of using our fingers and palms during the workshops to rid our bodies of negative energy, “special spiritual energy” comes out of our fingers and palms. That’s why it is recommended to walk “hand in hand” rather than “arm in arm.” 

So, if we walk hand in hand as a couple, we can give and receive the effect of a hand massage, which contributes not only to our spiritual health but also to our physical health. I wholeheartedly recommend “always walking hand in hand” just like True Parents; it is part of the True Parents’ rules of health: “Become an absolute Blessed couple of one heart and one body.”

Walking hand in hand has more of a positive energy than walking arm in arm.

A couple is advised to hold hands when walking together, sleeping together and even while watching television.  Each time a couple holds hands, it brings about an unity of a husbands five fingers with his wife's five fingers. 

When we walk hand and hand, we should give deep thanks to God within our hearts for the coming heaven on earth that will bring about the ideal world he set to build before the fall.

When a husband and wife completely become one, God can dwell within us.

2. We should always hold our spouse’s hand when we watch TV together.

3. We should always hold each other’s hand in bed and have pillow-talk before going to sleep.

They are watching TV while holding each other’s hand. When they listen to music, they are listening while holding each other’s hand and responding to the rhythm. We Blessed couples must resemble such True Parents.

Holding hands while listening to music and responding to the rhythm.  When you are tired, you must not just simply go to sleep when you are tired at night, but sleep holding your partner's hand or other parts of the body. 

Also while watching television, it is best to hold hands, or place your hand on their lap or your husband's knee.  You can also use his lap as a pillow.  When you act in this way you will receive love from your husband in many ways.  Many wives do not act in this way basically neglecting their partner with this kind of affection.

Love is what you nurture and create with your own effort.

When watching television, some partners sit far apart as if they are fighting or were strangers to each other in the past.  This is not good.  If a couple does not make constant effort to stay close and to care for one another, they will gradually drift apart.  

Therefore, it is a good practice to hold each other's hands while watching television or while sleeping.

Many religious people do not express their love in their daily lives as if it was a sin.  A husband and wife should say "good night" to one another while holding each other's hand and squeeze tightly in the end. They can do this while laying in the bed at night, after scratching each other on the back, while massaging the legs or touching the ear and head and so on.

Many go about their daily rituals, but when it comes to practicing true love with their own hands, many partners hesitate.  Many older couples fail to change their old habits for completely new ones in their daily lives.

If Jesus was followed completely toward the end by his disciples, there would not have been a need for him to die for us, but live for us.  He would have found a blessed wife and teach us about marriage through his own ideal marriage given by God.  Jesus was supposed to be the fulfillment of the Marriage  Supper of the Lamb.

If this is hard to believe, just imagine that God had brought Jesus to teach us more than how to be a child of God and brother to humanity.  He was supposed to reverse the mistake the first marriage made and return it to God.  Just imagine a faithful Son of God and Daughter of God in marriage on earth.  Wouldn't we want to emulate this type of couple?

Even with this foundation on earth of a marriage from God, if his followers did not practice their teachings about a conjugal life, this heavenly fortune and happiness will fly from them.  One needs to obediently practice the words by getting rid of old habits, and ideals of the fallen, extremely secularized world.

This fallen world loosely use their sexual organs  and have several partners without a care for consequences of heart or destruction.  If one cannot give up old habits of the world, they are unfaithful foolish people who have given up the task of becoming a married couple with the most supreme happiness.

It is possible to have a happy, fulfilling and loving marriage centered on God

How can a religious person succeed in their witnessing and converting people to God's ideal if they do not have a happy union with their partners?  Who wants to have a lifestyle of sadness or a worse situation than what they already experience?  

Only after having happy marriages and a life-style in which God had in mind when He created human beings, then we can we naturally witness to our relatives and those in our communities.  If we look at the Mormon Church whose history is shorter than that of the Episcopal Church, have grown bigger.

The key to its success consists in the happy family-life of its members. Reportedly, a very small number of its members joined the Mormon Church because of its unique theology. The majority of its new members joined because they were attracted by the happy family-life of the Mormon Church members.

The author of this guide for marriage said he and his wife were practicing this advice:

"I used to be a typical Japanese man who was poor at expressing love.  After collecting True Parent’s and Dae Mo Nim’s speeches on the practice of true love, I felt compelled to put them into practice.

By faithfully implementing such teachings, my wife and I felt so peaceful and happy that we soon made it a rule, for example, to hold each other’s hand while in bed before going to sleep and while watching TV together. My wife and I always felt very peaceful and happy feelings through holding each other’s hand. As a result, my wife and I always held each other’s hand whenever possible, because it felt very good. While she was still alive on earth, my wife repeatedly said to me, 'It is my happiest time to have ‘pillow-talk’ while holding each other’s hand in bed'.”

4. We should sleep naked together in one bed every night.

As for the “sleeping naked” part of the fourth daily-life habit is explained more extensively in another post. 

A husband and wife must sleep together under one quilt and live feeling in love with each other, just as couples do in Korea. But many married couples in Japan sleep in separate futons or beds. 

It is fundamentally wrong to sleep separately.

In one family the wife used the small room and the husband used the back room;this couple lived their lives separately even though they were under the same roof.  This kind of life is really wrong.  Even if you fight with your husbands, you must not sleep in a separate room and take your pillow with you.

“A husband and wife should sleep naked in one bed, not in two separate beds.”

A husband and wife should take all of their clothes off and sleep naked in the same bed every night;A couple should not sleep in separate beds.  If this is a possible habit to partake, does this kind of husband fight everyday or quarrel before they leave in the morning or sleep at night together?

It is impossible.

Even if your husbands snores as loud as a boar, a husband and wife should sleep in one bed.  Even if she has to wear the new effective ear plugs made for astronauts, she should determine to sleep with her husband every night.

Qualitifications for Marriage

"When you are permitted by God to start your family, you are being permitted to begin working on your basic right to inherit the Kingdom of Heaven. In other words, that is the first step towards realizing the Kingdom of Heaven."

Today, we see many marriages do not last beyond a few years, but we do not hear much about the faithful marriages that last unto death.  As the world moved more toward the goal of materialism and individualism, a man and woman in marriage found it harder to stay together, but it is possible. 

In order to be married, one must have acquired the heart to love unconditionally and give unceasingly to their spouse.  We are living in a culture where each spouse wants to receive and not give.  Secondly, marriages without God at the center are doomed to fail without direction or hope of how to live as a true husband and wife.

God spent thousands of years to work through lineage to bring one man and woman together in order to restore the mistake of the first husband and wife. 

He originally intended for man and woman to join together absolutely centered on His ideal without the presence of the fall.  God in these last days has hope through the unity of a man and woman and their family, a world a peace will begin. 

When we look at the significance of marriage from God's point-of-view, should we look at our spouse and go, "I don't like the way he look," or "I wish he was more educated" or some sort of criticism?  This is selfish thinking when a couple has not given their marriage even three years to develop before giving up. 

A couple has many forces of oppositions from the moment they bring their different backgrounds and differences under one roof.  How can anyone dislike their spouse without even giving the relationship a try to connect?

In the Unification Church, individuals learn the teachings of the Divine Principle, the Completed Testament, and align their lives toward God's vision of restoring man.  The founder of the church, as God's representative, matches two individuals together in marriage.  Sometimes, members will have their own idea and characteristics of a spouse and insist on being matched to such a person.  This is a self-centered way of thinking and not for the purpose of the whole. 

Father Moon was never enthusiastic about matching such individuals together based on their taste alone, because they weren't assured to have normal, healthy children and have a long healthy life.  Lineage is more important than love.  Those who insisted strongly to be match to someone solely based on their own desires, oftentimes found one spouse or the other met an untimely death through accident or disease.

"Can you make your own happiness by yourself? No, you need someone who can help you. Who is that someone? That is the True Parents, the Divine Principle, the Heavenly world, and especially God."

We absolutely need God in the choosing of our spouse.  How do you truly know someone background, ancestry, their character or their past deeds?  Father Moon takes matching two individuals seriously and only with God's direct blessing, and has more knowledge about marriage and children.  He said he is more serious about his member's marriages than they are.

"When I tell you, "Such a marriage will not work," you may wonder how I can know. I have a special spiritual "antenna" which never fails. When I feel a match is bad, it is always bad. That is not because I want it to be bad; it is simply the truth." SMM

Your Own Ideal Family

Are you ready to create an ideal family?

The author of the Divine Principle said that if he had said something wrong to someone, it took seven months of intense effort and prayer to rectify that action and still the situation was never as good as before.

If just a few words could cause such intense damage, what about a wrong act of love?  It would take tens of thousands of years to restore that mistake.  This is why your marriage is the most awesome experience and at the same time the most fearful position to be in.  Do people think deeply about their marriage that this chance only comes once in hundreds of thousands of years?

A marriage blessed directly by God, when that couple goes out, will have the attention of all of spirit world and God's attention like an invisible limelight following them. 

We should not evaluate our spouse or others based on just superficial attributes or physical appearances.  The true ideal marriage is much deeper than these superficial qualities.   

By Heavenly standard, if we already are thinking about kissing each other, we have the mouth of a thief.  When we look at our spouse, we should see them with ideal eyes and have a pure spiritually elevated feeling toward our spouse.  The wedding ceremony is really a place of great judgment.  If you and your spouse make a good foundation for your marriage, then you will receive Heavenly reward.

If your marriage makes a bad foundation, it is irreversible and you will make hell for yourself.  Some people when they find this out feel overwhelmed as the wedding approaches and ask, "What should I do?"

"One thing you can do is to have complete trust in the words I have spoken. Receive those words as your protection and your supervision. If you try to live in accordance with those words for your life, you can be confident about the future. If you resolve not to waver or look back you can have confidence."

Father Moon advises to pledge to God one thing:

"Father, whatever the difficulties may be in the future, I know that my best friend and best helper is my spouse. I will never let go of him, even if he kicks me. It is out of the question to ever disown him."  You should pledge this to God above all else. If you do not do this, you may get married but you may not bear the best fruit.

After you have pledged to never give up on your spouse as your best support, your children will remind you of your past mistakes if you ever transgress on your promise. If you are to divorce, after knowing the quality of marriage how guilty would you feel for the rest o your life? Your own heart, body and spirit will judge and curse you more than anyone else.

Before your marriage, you should set your mind to do well and not make a mistake so goodness will come to you.  When problems arise, we should not look at other people and find fault with them.  Instead we should look within ourselves.

People will respect you, your spouse will respect you and will be inspired to love you.  When a husband respects his wife and treats her well, she will be inspired to be obedient to him because this is the Heavenly standard of marriage which God created.

This text explains why how external appearance alone does not constitute who a person truly is.  If one can attest that they are completely perfect in heart and spirit centered on God, than they are qualified to choose any spouse they wish and criticize their spouse in any way they wish.

"In the Bible there is a very graphic illustration of this point. Jesus came upon a crowd preparing to stone to death a woman caught in immorality, according to the law of the time. Before they killed her they asked Jesus his opinion about the situation.

At first he just bent down and wrote with his finger in the sand, pretending to ignore them. However, the people pressed him to answer and he told them that those people who were free of sin should throw the first stones. One by one, the crowd dispersed until there was no one there except the accused woman who bowed down to Jesus."

What about you and me?  Are we better than these people?  Some women will criticize others, but refuse to be criticized.  Each women represent all womenkind, so if you treat your spouse unjustly, no one will know, but women in spirit world will know and accuse you deeply.  The same is true for men.

We must understand the true meaning of marriage. 

"According to the maturity and genuineness of your love, the real blessings of life will come to you."

A couple that has the understanding of the precious era in which we live and are truly grateful for everything that comes to them will receive the deepest blessing in life.  If you endure great difficulties in life without taking a break, yet  you still feel gratitude to God, He would like to be nowhere else but with you to give His blessing to your family.

Blessing goes to those who are grateful in every situation even the difficult ones.

"Sometimes I give money to someone in order to see how he will spend it. I always respect the person who carefully uses his money and saves as much as he can to use for the best purpose. Some people just spend money without thinking."

To establish a tradition, you need to have three generations observing it, grandparents, parents, and children.

It is more valuable to be grateful toward God in a bitter situation than when receiving a lot of blessing which anybody can be grateful then.

Usually people pray to have the best husband or wife, but the one who prays, "I will be satisfied with anyone You give to me, because I will help her to be the best woman in the world."  This type of person will receive the best and most handsomest spouse.

That is the principle.

We must remember how much God labored and how our spouse is the fruit of a long and complex history.  One should not say, "I don't like him or her".  Even God does not reject anyone.  What makes us so great to be above God himself with our own wild tastes and preferences?

Haven't we seen the disastrous results from choosing our own mates based on our own selfish desires?  We should consult God in our marriage. We should digest all the bad points of our spouse and not just enjoy their good points.  Whatever these points are, we should learn to love him or her.
