Childhood Relationships Needed to Mature the Heart

There is also an individual order by which individuals govern themselves, which is significant in how they relate to others.

The orderings of these relationships, affects the way the realms of heart function.

The love of a mother and child nurtures and harmonizes the developing relations between the child and his or her siblings and peers.

The harmony of the child's realm of love affects the sibling's or peer's realm of love.

For example, one Saturday afternoon, Erica's 8-year-old son, Tim, and his friend were playing with Lego blocks.

Usually Tim gets along with his friend, but this particular afternoon they were quarreling.  Tim did something out of his character.  When he and his friend disagreed over a Lego piece.  He tore apart his friend's Lego construction and threw the pieces all over the floor.

His mother recognized that this behavior came from the busy week's toll on his relationship week with her and his emotions were running on empty.

Because of her motherly instinct, she took him aside and spent time alone with him.  She spent time holding him on her lap, speaking gently to him, and getting him involved in funny little finger plays.

After only a short time, Tim became calm and happy again, and went back to apologize to his friend.  He even offered to help his friend rebuild his toy construction he destroyed.

Tim needed this vertical connection with his mother in order to relate smoothly with his peers on a horizontal plane.

Often, a family’s problems involving children can be remedied by improving and solidifying the marriage. 

Psychologist John Rosemond testifies that when he and his wife shifted the center of their family life from the children to their marriage, getting the vertical order right, their children were more obedient, more respectful, more compliant, and—importantly—happier.

Rosemond likened a happy, healthy family to the solar system:   “The marriage was the nucleus of the family, the children were satellites that revolved around the nucleus like planets to a sun.”



A Healthy Ecology of Love

Relationships between the vertical and horizontal create a greater ecological system that encompasses all four realms of heart (parent's, children, siblings, spouse).

This becomes a support system that surrounds the individual and stimulates him or her needs to internally grow.

When this ecology is imbalance, people feel vulnerable and often try to fill this need in a substitute way.

This explains why a child latches onto her cousin as her 'older sister', the widower joins a dance club, and the infertile couple adopts a son.

For example, 14-year-old Elena is in the children's and sibling's realm.

When her complementary partners of parents, grandparents, and brother and sisters and maybe cousins, she enjoys a wealth of possibilities in terms of giving and receiving love and thus develop her character.  These relationships are necessary for growth in Elena's stage in life.

Jon, on the other hand, who is 27 year old may have different relational needs than Elena who is still a teenager.  He may be more challenged and fulfilled to mature by being invested in the spouse's and parent's realms.

He thrives best by having a good friend and children as reciprocal partners to relate with.

But this is in addition to the parents and siblings with whom he continues to have a relationship.  Jon's ecology of love includes all the four realms of heart.  The absence of any of these aspects will make Jon feel an emptiness in his life.


Ecology of Love

In an ideal world, people would progress naturally from realm to realm, nurtured by their partners in the realm and nurturing them back in turn.

We would achieve the necessary level of heart that resembles God's heart.

The reality of course is that humanity is far from the ideal.  There are forces that seem to prevent people from attaining the growth of heart they need in each realm.

A daughter who is becoming an adolescent may need her father's reassurance and support more than ever before, but he is struggling with finances and turns to alcohol to cope.

A mother who just gave birth to twins, may not be able to stretch her love resources to her husband and her babies which causes the marital relationship to breakdown just when she needs her partner the most.

An older sibling may say something to a younger brother or sister that was biting and stay with the children for years affecting his or her self-image.

We see that people are imperfect in their ability to love.  Yet, the realms of heart march on.

The abilities of other-centered love or love others than yourself are still too underdeveloped to cope with the demands of the realms.

This causes many difficulties.

Because of this, divorce, domestic and child abuse may result.  This inability to love can emerge as more subtle problems such as a mother who rather be her daughter's best friend and live vicariously through her

Many people may feel that they lack the heart to have concern and compassion, and do not have the ability to be refreshed from naturally giving true love.

Then people find themselves depleted.  This pattern of people who are immature in relationships raising immature people has multiplied ever since the disastrous interruption of the love relationships of parents, spouses children and siblings in the Garden of Eden.

Reverend Moon has said, “The Fall was initiated when one person claimed self-centered love. 

The one who proclaims love centered on himself, they deny the value of all other relationships in his desire to make himself the center of the universe.

Such a person seeks to bring benefit only to himself, and the disease began when this desire entered ther ealm of love.

The first parents were thus cut off from God and from one another and started a negative pattern from their brokenness and immaturity.

We see these patterns continue and proliferate to this day.

People who are not able to fulfill the earlier realms of heart, they must perform the later realms of heart and do so badly.

Psychotherapist Arthur Janov writes, “The major reason I have found that children become neurotic is that their parents are busy struggling with unmet infantile needs of their own . . . In this way the sins of the parents are visited on the children in a seemingly never ending cycle.”

The family needs great infusions of God’s love in order to repair the brokenness and restore health. 

A society that had families who exhibited true love, this would be a world of peace and harmony – a true Kingdom of Heaven on Earth.

Religious history has been one of God and humankind desperately seeking to repair and restore the original love relationships where individuals, families and societies from.  Thus, they can be healed and made whole.

Therefore, it is important to understand how the four realms of heart in the family work and need mending.

Therefore, it is absolutely necessary to educate for true love which imparts insight about sexuality and coaches people how to direct this marvelous force created by God.

Spouses’ physical communion is the origin of families that in turn are the schools for learning love and what it means to be human.

“The moral man,” reads a Confucianist text, “finds the moral law beginning in the relation between man and woman” (Doctrine of the Mean 12).

Even with all the education and warnings, it is a challenge to keep sexuality within the service of true love.

Because sexuality brings great pleasure, it invites single people every manner to misuse it out of the context of God's love.

Once no marital sex introduces distorted sexual attitudes and behaviors to the person who uses their whole being in the act, these ideals become deeply rooted and hard to change.

In an ever-growing society of ‘whatever goes’, it has become more difficult to celebrate sexuality while at the same times staying away from selfishness.

The Fall involved a man and a woman’s selfish desires away from God’s ideal.

Sex is an instinctual urge, yet it allows a couple to co-create an eternal being along with God.

Sex craves bodily expression of the person and a sensual play, and a fount of carnal delight but it is also an impulse towards oneness.

At the same time it invites an individual the possibility of moral and spiritual growth within the realm of the spouses’ and parents’ world or realm of heart.



God and Human Sexuality

The sexual act has great and unique significance to the Creator.

This is fully understood when we consider lovemaking between a fully mature husband and wife.

Such individuals will already have achieved unity of their mind and body, including their word and actions.  Each will stand as a living mirror of the fullness of the Divine Parent’s heart and character.

Their character will resonate with the greater integrity within God.

Each person would be in communion with Him and attract His joy and blessing, but this would be amplified when they entered the marriage bed.

At the moment they are united sexually, the spirit and flesh join in their deepest oneness.  Therefore, the couple would be an even greater reflection of the Divine than the moment before.

Through a marital couple’s lovemaking, it represents the celebration of self-giving.

Naturally, since the couple was fulfilling the purpose of sexual intercourse to be experienced inside a godly marriage, God would want to participate in such a beautiful tribute to His own nature of unselfish love.

Also, through the couple’s sexual union, it resembles the Creator’s masculine and feminine natures that manifest in the world.

God delights in the opposites represented in the man and woman’s sexual play which echo the same harmony of extremes found within Himself.

A husband and wife union, spirit begetting spirit through the flesh, gives rise to a son or daughter, an eternal spiritual being.  This is perhaps the most singular sacred phenomenon experienced in earthly life.


Vertical force of love


Through marital coupling, God’s vertical love expands horizontally on earth through a husband and wife’s passionate embrace representing the most potent kind of horizontal love.

This extends into the future through the power of conception and lineage.

Reverend Moon emphasizes that God is the third partner in the marriage bed of a true husband and wife.  He states that marriage is the most sacred place where heaven and earth come together and rejoice.

This view is also echoed in the Jewish writings that declare that the feminine aspect of God is present in marital relations noting God has both feminine and masculine qualities.

The Tantric yoga tradition speaks of sexual union as clearing all the body’s charkas and opening a person up to higher energies.

Religious traditions prohibit fornication, adultery, homosexuality and lesser offenses and uphold the holiness of sexuality.

One can argue that these standards highlights the sacredness, the unique importance and beauty of sexuality.  Therefore, through repressing sexual urges outside of marriage, is a tribute to a positive view of sex and not a repressive notion as thought of by nonreligious.

In the Bible, even the older man is reminded, “Let your fountain be blessed and may you rejoice in the wife of your youth. A loving doe, a graceful deer—may her breasts satisfy you always, may you ever be captivated by her love” Proverbs 5.18-19

It is also recognized that sexuality is corrupted and misdirected to become idolatry of the body and an abuse of power.

Sexual desires that are not controlled or disciplined reduces people to things to be exploited and possessed, not truly loved.

There is a modern saying that we have gone from a society that uses people and love things.

Also, sex outside of commitment is bond to become compulsive.  This is why the joys of sexual love are bound to the moral responsibilities of a committed marriage as God intended from the beginning.

Love Nation, World, Humankind = World Peace

Just like God, love is not flat.  Once you are united with God in oneness, a circular motion manifests in all kinds of forms and figures. This is why the older sibling must love the younger by following the examples of their parents who love them as well. Love will blossom within a family that is united in this way. That love becomes the love within a society and then the love within a nation.  In this this expansion of heart, it will later become the love of the whole world.  This is how world peace will be established - through the family. Love of the Nation, Love of the World, and Love of Humankind When you look at the world it is composed of many nations. Nations are composed of societies.  Societies are made of of tribes. These tribes are made up of families which are two individuals coming together. Those who sacrifice their lives to live for the public purpose of humankind will come together centering on their love for humankind. Likewise, have a love for their homeland, they will unite based on patriotic ideas. As their patriotic feelings grow stronger, the citizens will unite through their patriotism in order to establish a nation. You must build relationship and gather people of like mind together once you know you have the responsibility to work on the patriotic movement.  The base where genuine love can settle down is the family. Therefore, the original family that embodies the love of the universe will expand the domain of love in the universe and be protected by the universe. We should go beyond the family level and walk the patriotic path of loving the nation.  Furthermore, we must go beyond race and nation and go toward the path of loving the world. Those who love their family are children of filial piety and virtuous wives.  Those who love their nation are patriots.  What do we call those who love the world?  We call them saints. The path of children of filial piety, patriots, saints, and divine sons and daughters How do you become a global figure? You cannot become one by just human morality or making people your central concern. If you are only concerned with human beings, then you will not be able to go beyond the national level. It is that which is of heaven that will enable you to step beyond the national level. If you do not have a philosophy that embraces heaven and earth, then you cannot go beyond the national level. If you look at the ranks of the saints, they revered God or did they not revere him?  Is there any saint that did not have God?  They all upheld God's will as their standard way of living. Thus, the saints have spoken about God tremendously, not just about humankind.  Moreover, the saints have taught not only the way of morality, but the path of the heavenly law. Children of filial piety serve and love their parents in a family.  Those who serve and love the nation are patriot. Those who love the world are saints. Then, what is it that I teach? It is to be a divine son or daughter who loves God, the world, and the universe. Which will you be? Will you be a divine son or daughter, or a dutiful son or daughter?  Love is the essence that moves reality. It cannot be omitted from daily life or from history.  Love provides the internal power which moves everything from a parent's body to our social institutions. This is why, when you are educated, you are taught to love your country. You are taught, brotherly love, parental love, conjugal love and worldwide philanthropy of your country. All of these contain love. What does this mean?  It means that we cannot connect to history without including love which is the realm of people's daily lives and the course of history. What do you have to become? You must become a patriot.  A patriot devotes one's effort to serve the people as they would serve the nation's ruler.  What is a child of filial piety?  They are those who devote all their efforts toward their parents. Those who devote themselves to their brothers and sisters as they would serve their parents are children of filial piety. Saints are people who have sacrificed themselves until now and died for the sake of all humankind. What is a divine son or daughter?  Those who reach out to the world centering on God and serve mankind as they would serve God are divine sons and daughters. Historical saints are those who have died for the sake of the people of the world.  Divine sons and daughters are loyal to God, but as they live for God they also live for the sake of all people.  Being a saint does not make you a divine son and daughter or God's child. What is next level after you become a child of filial piety, a patriot and a saint?  No matter how much you have loved the nation's ruler and its people, you have to know the laws of the heavenly royal palace to be a divine son and daughter.  You have to live in the rhythm with the palace law. A filial child's heart goes straight to his parents without changing. The same goes for the patriot whose heart goes straight to the king.  The saint, likewise, has a heart that goes straight toward God without changing. In other words, you can be a child of filial piety, a patriot and saint only when your heart goes straight without changing even in a situation where you may face death. A filial child serves and loves the parents in the family.  The one who serves and loves the country is the patriot and the one who serves and loves the world is the saint. You should be divine sons and daughters who love the world and universe.  Once you have such a broaden love, you must have as much love as God. The child of filial piety lives on even when his household perishes.  This is why there are epitaphs of children of filial piety, patriot and saints. Divine sons and daughters are people who know how to observe not only national laws, but also the laws of the heavenly royal palace. Thus, that which can connect straight to the path of children of filial piety, patriots and the path of saints is the path of the divine sons and daughters. Our life course can be condensed into the life paths walked by filial children, patriots, saints and divine sons and daughters. Would they be paths driven by the heart of wanting to be together and live together regardless of the upper and the lower, transcending front and back, left and right, and day and night, and going beyond one's own life? This is the conclusion that has emerged. No matter how outstanding a person may be, he is of no use if he has no love.   Also, happiness becomes connected based on love. The medium that connects brothers and sisters, friends, countrymen, all humankind and heaven on earth is love.  Love is like yeast. God created the universe and established its law.  What kind of being is He? He is the Being who stands as the representative caring for others more than anyone else.  This is God. Therefore, if you want to meet God, you have to live for the sake of others.  God is the king of knowledge, but he will not tell you to come to Him with knowledge. Although He is the king of capability, He would not tell you to approach Him with capability. God is the king of money, power and knowledge, He does not need these things. God would tell you that anyone can come to Him that lives for the sake of others.  God exists in front of human beings for their own sake. This is why we want to follow God forever.  If you want to maintain your own position of existence living within the natural law, you must exist for the sake of others as the universe does. Through serving others, you connect to the East and the West, and to the past and the present.  God has the same love in the past that He has now in the present. God can overcome the East and the West and overcome the past and the present, and even the future. Therefore He is able to unify them into one.  How is He able to do this? He unifies them only in love. Love Your Spouse Centered on God

No matter how much we practice religion while living for the sake of others, we notice that there is such a resistance to the good activities that we do.

Haven't you noticed this conflict within ourselves?

This is because each one of us as an individual has a mind and body that is in mutual conflict.  Thus, we should unite our good mind as the center where God can come and dwell.

When a man and woman become a couple, they have many hopes and dreams for their future.

What couple comes together desires divorce, conflict and separation when they finally find each other?

Even if it is not their hope, the more we look into the society of relationships, we see such division and conflict.  There seems to be no solution to the problems between man and woman relationships.

Some people have a clear-cut answer and that is to never marry.

But could this be the original ideal God had planned when He beheld the first two beings on earth?

God made it clear that He wanted humanity to be matured in love and then prosper and multiply.  Since we are not living in the original way God intended the purity of a man and woman uniting has been turned around in the opposite direction.

Instead of two people who matured into perfect individuals uniting centered on God, the world is filled with billions of fallen individuals who do not fully mature in love or center their lives or marriages on God, therefore, conflict is sure to rise.

So what was God's original purpose for creating a union of man and woman?

A perfect man and perfect woman were to marry centered on God's will thus fulfilling God's whole purpose for creating the world.  Thus the three would enter a spherical relationship where God could govern all of creation through His perfect objects man.

When such a man and woman receive the marriage blessing directly from God sharing their perfect love and delighting in joy, in God's eye this is like a flower that has blossomed on earth for the first time.

All the forms of harmony that unfold through their love are like a fragrance to God.  Therefore, God will come before them because He wants to live amid such beautiful flowers and fragrances.

Even God is Enraptured in the Love of a True Couple

God can love only in the place of a true couple's love.  This is where all things in the universe harmonize.  This is the teaching of the Divine Principle and it explains such ideas and the path to follow.

What sound and melody do you think God would like to hear more than anything in creation?  It is the sound of laughter coming from an eternal married couple that likes each other and rejoices with one another.

When such a couple understands and embraces the world and lives a life with a heart that can love the entire universe, then this laughter becomes natural.

This sight is of such a loving man and woman before God is like a flower to Him.  This is not a simple idea, this is speaking about the original world which God intended for His children to live.

When you look at a mountain, a husband and wife ask the mountain for whom it comes into being.  Also, for whom does the universe come into being?

They would answer saying that they come  for me and at the same time for you.

This is the same for what a married couple is like.  The husband and wife unite through fulfilling the purpose of the universe and valuing the central purpose.

When the husband and wife speak to one another it should be centered on heart, personal character and love.  Even if a lady is a country bumpkin, what will her status be if she marries a government official or minister?

They go the same way.

Although that country lady may only have an elementary school diploma, everyone will bow their heads to her because she is the minister's wife.  This is the way for a husband and wife to go together.

Would their love be separate for her and him?  For them, love is both your love and my love at the same time.  It is your love and my love.

True love is that with which you love with your entire bodies as one, and with your whole hearts and blood vessels as one. 

Who could such people be that can love like this?

It is the love of a husband and wife.  If there was no such thing as husband and wife in the world, would life have any appeal?

When you watch the conversations between a loving couple, their words are more beautiful than any poem or painting in the world.

Moreover, how beautiful and splendid are the words, "Just between two people in love" and "Just by ourselves," and "Just the two of us"!  These are all good phrases, but what do you think is the best among these three spoken?

If I call my partner and say, "Hello!", she will answer in a corresponding manner, saying "Hi!" and if I call her saying, "Hey," she will answer, "What?" and if the husband uses cute phrases such as, "Hello, Dear!". But if he speaks to her bluntly she will answer in like manner, "What's the matter?" This is just like the mountain echo, everything is reciprocal.

Everything is reciprocal when people are intoxicated with love.

For instance, when a man laughs, he opens his eyes even bigger and when a woman laughs, she gently closes her eyes.  If the husband's eyes get bigger and bigger and the wife's eyes get smaller and smaller we can say that they are a happy couple intoxicated with love.

The More a Husband and Wife See Each Other, the More They Want to See Each Other

When does a man and woman feel happy?

They feel happy when they become partners and share love.  If a man were to relate to a woman by swinging his fist with physical force, this couple would never be able to attain any happiness.

When the man embraces and protects the woman with his strength and loves her, she will be able to feel true happiness.  The love between a man and woman does not work just with strength or just within the mind.

The woman will be able to experience a real feeling of happiness when the man affirms his loving heart with his strength.  Then when she returns love to him with her body and mind they will be a truly happy husband and wife.

A person always needs stimulation. Happiness does not come without stimulation. 

Stimulation is necessary in a relationship.

Just as eating meals everyday is better when it is fresh only when you are hungry each time you eat, the same with the love between a husband and wife should always be new and fresh.

The more the wife and husband see each other, the more they should desire to see each other and long to be together all day.  Love has value when two people long for each other.

In asking for love, if you have a mouth, you should open it, and if you have eyes, you should open them. Only then, will the giver of love be happy.

If you just remain silenced and dumb, love would run away on its way to you. You should know this.  How would you feel if your lover was not serious and behaved half-heartedly toward you in their affection?

Would you rather be together or separated from your beloved?

The closer you are to each other the better everything is.  Why is this so?  It is because everything works together.

What is the thing you like the most?  Is it food?

If you see some food when you are hungry, of course you will eat it with more joy than if you were already full.  But this pleasure is only temporary.

If someone gives you more food, even after you have become full you would not like to eat it so much.
But this is not the case with the one you love.

Is there anyone who says of his lover, "I want to forget her?"  Even if you have seen her over and over again, you still want to see her yet again and again.  Isn't this so?

Even if you have just seen her, you want to see her again, and even after seeing her again.  This way, you first stand one in front of the other, and alternate like a wheel of a cart.  This is the place where unification begins.

A wife that knows love sometimes gets the impulse to bury her head in her husband's chest to enjoy an afternoon nap as he watches television.

This is because she is drunk with happiness.  Before marriage, the man appeared ugly and strange, but after the marriage, she misses him and has to see him many times in a day.  This is how the hearts change.

Therefore, sometimes she will ask him to come home during the lunch break for a quick visit.  This is the same for the man who has come to know love.

Whenever he has a chance, he would like to sleep using his wife's knees as a pillow.  He will run home whenever he has a free moment, regardless of whether it is lunchtime or for a short coffee break.

If he wants certain things done, he will not hesitate to do things for her, even if he didn't like doing them before marriage.  He'll do things that he probably complained and said, "This is a woman's job.  A mighty man shouldn't do it."

These changes come about in men and women because of love.

When God created humans and blessed them, He did so in such a way that the husband and wife would be happy and experience joy.

A husband and wife that that have opened and entered such a gate of blessings will be lost in whispers to each other.

This kind of couple only says sweet things to each other.

For instance, "I have been waiting like this in order to meet you.  My whole life will reveal its value like a blossoming flower through you.  I was born to love you, and I have been waiting for this day."

There is nothing in existence that is as sweet as secret words of love.  The secret words whispered by a husband and wife, even when together in bed, will be a refreshment to dissolve all the fatigue and hatred of the world.

How Conjugal Love Develops

A man and woman who meet through the mediation of God would express their love through the process of the development of love.  The first is the lips, the second is the breasts, and the third is the sexual organ.

It is through the lips that a woman when she first meets a man feels shy and will hide before starting to love him.

A woman covers her lips with her hand because of this.  It is because of love starts with kissing.
When love matures, sons and daughters are born as its fruit.

For a woman, her sexual organ is the holy place of love.  So, should she have several keys for many men to explore this place?

She should have only one key to open that gate held only by her husband.  If a husband has two or more keys to a woman's holy place of love, he is Satan.

Also, if a woman's holy place could be opened by any key other than her husband, she is also Satan.

Once the husband holds the key of love to his wife's holy place and enters there, the most precious sons and daughters in the whole world will be born.

The value of sons and daughters is such that they are an encapsulation of love, not exchangeable for anything in the world.

Parents will experience the heart by which God created the first human ancestors through loving their sons and daughters.

This is the reason why parents rejoice when they look at their children, singing, "You are my love, whether, I look at you this way or look at you that way."

No matter what your baby does, who is born through love, you never hate him, but simply love him. This is because he is part of your body, made of your own blood and flesh and your love.

Whether he pees, takes a poop, has a runny nose, he will still be simply cute and lovely to your eyes. It is because love is dissolved into such things.

In a husband and wife relationship, if their love is joined through a strong force, they must be joyful and feel their partner is lovely, no matter what that partner does.

When a wife complains about the way her husband smells or the husband thinks or feels that he hates the way his wife looks, they behave this way because they have not established perfect love between them.

This married couple is only joined together for some superficial purpose or interest.

In your own family life during marriage, in order to feel true joy, you should bring God into the center and have a relationship where you can love each other where you see God rejoice together with you.

A man and woman getting married and making love is not something you should be ashamed of.

The act of the husband and wife consummating their love is something that is most dignified, holy and beautiful.

However, because the first human couple violated God's commandment on the time period for them to enjoy their sexual organs, the history of love has been a sinful one.  This is why shame has become attached to exploring the sexual organs.

You should think that even though there are many men and women in the world, that there is only one for you.  You should devote yourself completely to this one woman, with the thought that she is devoted to you.

This is the Principle.

In the very beginning God didn't make two sets of men and women for them to pick and choose whom to mate, he created only one man and one woman.

Therefore, if God placed Eve with Adam and she didn't like certain qualities about him or thought that God was wrong in His choice, then there would not have been creation of a family or such a thing as the human race.

True happiness can be found in the place where you can laugh, sing and whisper together with your beloved with both of you intoxicated with love.

I would say that the one who is able to listen to the whispers of his beloved is a happy person.  


It is because having such words whispered into your ears can give you a feeling of joy as if you were dreaming.

God's Dream: World Peace

If you are an advent reader of Achieve World Peace, then you know by now that the world that we are living in and accepted as the only way to live, was not the original world God planned when He was creating the world.

God's ideal was that the first parents of humanity would grow to spiritual and physical maturity in perfection, then unite with Him.

Then they would for a True Family laying a tradition centering on God.

God's Will through Adam and Eve

Many believers have prayed and talked about this will, God's will, God's ideal for creation, His wish for what was to be.

The words are simple, but it is difficult to articulate exactly what God's will is.

We are currently leading lives of faith in order to accomplish His will.  But it is a contradiction to live a life of faith and praying that God accomplishes His will if you do not exactly know what His will is in the first place.

What do you think God wants most to be done in these Last Days?

As stated above, God's will is to see the completion of the original idea he had for creation.  The purpose He made this universe.  Then what is the center of that purpose?

Did God create for His own pleasure?  Did He create humanity to worship His power?

God created the heavens, the earth and all of creation for Adam and Eve.

The substance of this ideal is a family that was absolutely centered on God.  This is only realized when Adam and Eve become completely united that they cannot separate themselves from His realm of love.

Currently, as people of faith, we must pray, meditate, and constantly pay indemnity in order to unite with God's word.

If Adam and Eve had followed God and loved centered on Him in the beginning, then unity with God would have been automatic without the need for prayer, religion or a Messiah.

Adam and Eve become an ideal husband and wife through giving birth to children forming the four-position foundation with God in the center.

An ideal family would have formed with the union of an ideal man and an ideal woman who were individually perfected.

In order to realize the ideal family, you need more than a man or a woman.  A family is an unit after all.  A family represents the true union of a husband and wife.

It is the relationship of parents and children with the love of God at the center.  This family would therefore pass on the tradition of loving God to the next generation without ceasing.

This is God's will.

What is God's purpose of creation?

God did not create Adam and Eve to stare at them for eternity or so they would just grow old and die by themselves.  He wanted them to mature with Him at the core of their being and at the core of their love for each other.

He created them so they could build a love nest centering on God.  Then establish the true Kingdom of Heaven on Earth for humanity.

Instead, as we currently live today, the opposite world was created when they were unable to unite with God's will and purpose.

Adam represents heaven, Eve represents earth in a heavenly union.  Even though they are two separate people, when they are horizontally connected, heaven and earth are united.

When they unite based on God's love, the cosmos unite automatically.

Therefore, since the first parents did not unite based on God, heaven and earth, spirit world and physical world separated.  Heaven and earth will unite with the coming of True Parents who reverse the mistake of the fall.

God's Absolute Requirements

What was God's reason for creating the universe when He could have stayed alone?

Like an artist wants to enjoy his masterpiece and share it with others, God wanted to feel joy through the created world.

Even though God is an absolute being, He is not able to feel joy when He is by Himself.  Joy can only be experienced with an object partner.

God does not require knowledge, money or power.

God is absolute and almighty, so He does not need such things as humans desire and fight for.

No matter how advanced science and technology becomes, they will never be equal or surpass what God has created.

The universe has a certain hierarchy and is in accordance with the law of nature.  God's creation of the universe is far beyond our understanding or the research and science of human beings.

Since God is all-knowing in every area, then we can say that He is the absolute scientist.

God is everlasting, unchanging and self-existing.

Then when we consider this, if God had a wish, what would He ultimately wish for?

Would He want money or power?

The main issue is what does God desire?  Even though God is all-knowing and all-powerful and absolute, there is only one thing that humans and even He requires.  That something is none other than love.

Some people will say that God can receive joy and love all by Himself.  This is not so.  God requires an object partner with whom to share love.

If God is absolute, the question arises: Why would such an absolute being create human beings if it wasn't for power or money?

He created human beings because that was the only way He could reciprocate love.  The relationship between God, the Father and us as His sons and daughters forms an axis line.

If the two lines had been connected, then would it have been possible for human beings and God to separate their relationship of love?

If a man and woman had truly tasted God's original love, would they have been able to separate from it?  Even when bees get a taste of nectar in the springtime he cannot be separated from it.

The union of an individually perfected man and woman can form a family centered on true love once the foundation to operate the universe connecting to the axis of love is formed.  On the basis of this love, a tribe, people and world would form expanding from this couple.

God's Eternal Partner in Love

Since God created the world, you can ask Him why did He create the world.  He would tell you because He thought it was good.  He felt joy from it, and wanted to receive more joy from it.

How do you receive joy from something?

You receive joy in the form of love.  This is how we come to the conclusion that God created the world to feel joy through the realization of love.

God created the universe to feel joy through human beings and the creation becoming one and thus establishing a harmonious world of love.

God feels joy once He sees and becomes one in love with human beings, thus forming a true relationship of husband and wife.  Then they establish a family, tribe, nation and world of true love.

This was God's ideal of creation.  This was God's only dream: to realize the true ideal of love.

The problem is that such things as love, happiness and joy cannot be realized through only one being.  They cannot be realized without an object partner.  God's object of love is none other than human beings.

When humankind matures into perfected love, they can appear before God as the true object of love.  Then God becomes the God of happiness.  He is the God who has fulfilled the ideal of joy.  

We have come to believe that because God is almighty, and is the Creator of all things that He does not need human beings.  But God needs human beings in order to perfect His love.

Did you know God's love involves human beings liking each other eternally?

More importantly, it involves God liking human beings eternally.

In this way, human beings are God's eternal objects of love.  God desired to love Adam and Eve as the object partner from the first day He created them.

He would wish to look at them forever, be with them over and over again, and live with them over and over again.  Having such an object partner is God's ideal of creation.

Unity Arises Through Love

It is nice just to think about love, to see it and to taste it. That is how love is.

Love is the coming together of East and West, it is the coming together of heaven and earth.

Therefore, love assumes the form of a sphere through these relations.  True love is at the center connecting the vertical and the horizontal.

How enraptured a person's lips would be when they smile as they give themselves over in true love?

How beautiful will the five senses appear when they are enraptured in true love and move toward God?

But God does not experience joy through beauty all by Himself.  He can only experience beauty when He has someone to whom He can relate.

This is why God created humankind.

God's desire is to travel the world of the human heart, with all its infinite beauty, more than He desired to create the heavens and the earth.

Even God breathes. He breathes true love. 

God keeps in rhythm with the universe that continues forever, centering on true love.  Therefore, only when  you are able to reach that level of heart, then you enter the realm of breathing God's love and live forever.

The universe and the sun are both round.  What do round things center upon?

They can only become rounded in a relationship with something else.

The world is a substantial entity that integrates such a relationship.  What is the original source that can form such circular relationships?

The motion of love is the original source of this harmony

Love is like a nerve. 

When one of the hairs are pulled on your head, the whole body moves toward that pulling force.

It is the same way with love.  When you pull on love, the whole universe is pulled towards the pulling force.

When you move love, the whole universe moves in accordance with it.

People must live life enraptured with something. 

A person who is enraptured by something is truly happy.

If you have noticed that artists are enraptured by art.  Those who enjoy literature, are enraptured by the books they write or the great masterpieces they read.  Such people are happy people.

This is why people should live enraptured with the love of God and follow only Him.

Then what is the most precious thing both men and women seek?

It is true love.

Love is something both people and God like forever.  Love is what the whole universe likes most of all and forever.

Although love is invisible, it is the most precious treasure on earth.  This is because love is unchanging in nature the same as diamonds and pearls.

We value gold as precious because it is unchanging in color in any condition.  A diamond is precious because of its unchanging hardness.  A pearl is seen as precious because of the unchanging quality of colors.

Although these are precious treasures, they do not have life in them.  But, true love on the other hand is a treasure that also has and gives life.  Therefore, it is more precious than all of them.

Everyone likes love. Ultimately, through love we come to love more and more. 

Love flows into the heart of individuals.

Love flows into the heart of a family, and of a people.  It flows everywhere.  Wherever love flows, everyone welcomes it.

There is no way to block  love.

Doesn't everyone want something higher than themselves?

God created people to relate with one another through the power of love.

A person connected to the ties of love who lives and breathes along with the universe does not need formalities when they arrive at the palace of God.  A person that lives in love can go to the inner sanctuary where God resides.

He can call out, "Heavenly Father!" And Father would answer, "Come here my child."

What is the only problem of the human world?

The problem is love; whether love burns brightly.  For the light of love to burn bright, that light has to burn internally and externally.

What will make it burn?  It should burn with the desire or want to love.

Then we realize that our life which we deal with in ordinary affairs of the world is just a stopping point on our journey.  Where is God?

To say He is omnipresent means He is not just in one specific place.

God is wherever love is.

We, too can be omnipresent when our central focus is love.  This is a privilege we can enjoy when we possess love.

When we speak about equality, the word is meaningless without love.  True equality is only possible when people live for others centering on love.

Women's equality is based on cutting everything down the middle whether it is possible or fair or not.  Women will say that they are just as strong as men and will assert themselves to enjoy the exact same jobs and privileges as men.

On the other hand, men and women can find equal footing and a mother can be on equal footing with her son  who is president through love.  All things that possess love can have equal status.  We must realize this.

Humankind is at the center at all things of creation.  What then do human beings center upon?

We center upon true love.  God's love forms one vertical line.

To set up the center of heaven and earth, there also has to be lines of love from both man and woman.  The woman's line goes to the man and the man's goes to the woman.

These lines of love thus create a circle.

A man and woman who has true love, it is perfected love with a negative charge. When this perfected love and true negatively-charged love is formed, the positively charged vertical love of God is automatically present.

That is how the principles of the universe work.

You can only form a reciprocal relationship with the universe when you have love.

The reason Love has the quality of gentleness and humbleness is because with those qualities it can be fully put in motion without resistance.

When something is humble and sacrificial, it can relate with anyone and can go anywhere without resistance.

Then in essence, this type of person does not really sacrifice because they can anywhere here and in spirit world.  The key to living without resistance is through living for the sake of others while sacrificing for others and serving others.

Why should we sacrifice and serve others?  

We should live in this way in order to perfect the respiratory organs for our second life in the next world where the atmosphere is love.

All beings that reproduce come together in twos in order to multiply.  Love brings harmony in reproduction. 

This is true for the multiplication of all living things in the natural world.  Even in water.  There is female water and male water where fish do well in areas where these waters mix.

Many fish live in the cold water and warm water mix.  This is ideal.  There must be harmony.

Birds from the north fly south to raise their young while birds that live in the south fly north to raise theirs.  This migrating back and forth follows a rhythm.

Then when they are mature, they return to the place of their birth to have their young.  Fish live in cold water and lay their eggs in warm water.  Fish living in warm water can only lay their eggs in cold water.

A harmonious unity of ying and yang must be established.  This is the process of migration.

Love will not be realized without finding a partner.

This is why God placed efforts to place an absolutely qualified partner in front of Him.  We human beings are the masterpiece of creation fashioned so that even God could find the love He also needs at the same time from us.

When you are intoxicated in the love of God, you would never be bored even if you were to stare at a grain of sand for thousands of years.  The creation has so many deep wonders that any masterpiece in any museum cannot surpass its beauty.  

True love is not something that can be forced.

Love must be willingly expressed.

When you love someone, do not do so with the intention to receive because ideal love is only realized through the action of giving and receiving.

If God created love where it could be seen, touched and its form was known by someone, then you would lose interest in such a love in less than one day.

Fortunately, that is not how love was created.  Love operates the same as a mysterious mirage in all shapes and forms.  Love is something that even if it is not there, it feels as if it is.  And even though it is there it feels sometimes that it is not.

True love perfects the ideal of unity in the universe.

Even though you find a grand masterpiece, if you do not find any flavor of true love in it, you will quickly spit it out.  This is the same with the true love between husband and wife. 

We like love the best because it has the quality to unite everything and make it our own.  People cannot fathom how good love is.

Just as parents who love their children, the more you love, the more your joy increases.

Love brings everything into oneness!

If a person is in oneness with God, noone will be able to separate him from God.  That is how wonderful love is!

 Have you ever observed a bee that concentrates intently on getting the nectar in the flowers?  As they retrieve the nectar their heads are thrust into the flower and their abdomens stick out of the flower into the air.

You would not be able to pull the bee out even if the abdomen breaks off.  Why does the nectar in the flower taste so good?

The nectar tastes good, then the taste of love should be much more powerful and better.  Which would be better.  The taste of honey or the taste of love?

Without love, we cannot obtain unity.  Words alone do not have the power to unite two different people into one.

If those who are united around material things, when the material things disappear, they will immediately separate.

What if a third person introduces them and they unite?  When the third party disappears, they will separate.  Then what is needed for two separate entities to be joined for eternity?

There must be love.

Love has the power to unite the five senses.

Love can make the smell of an old man, which is unpleasant to some, seem sweet and pleasant to a loving wife.  Even if the his face and hands are skin and bones she will like his face and hands.

Love can do this.

When the wind of love blows, the whole world seems beautiful. 

Everyone becomes a poet or a romantic when they fall deeply in love.

A flowing love should form a bond with us and never leave.  It should take place within the very core of our being.  Without love, we do not find anything of value in the world.

But when we are able to vividly feel and sense such a love inside of us, that love can compete with the universe.  A person that holds this kind of love deep in his heart can compete with the universe even though he is just an individual.

Even when we look at a tuft of grass, we must be able to look at it from the standpoint of God.

We should relate to a flower while embodying the heart of God.

We should feel the connection between our inner feelings and the heart of God when we appreciate the things in creation.

Those who live with the love of God within their hearts are the sons and daughters of God.

They are the central figures of the whole universe who can govern heaven and earth.

Love is the essential element needed to enable a person to attain the position.

Our minds infinitely expand through heart rather than knowledge.  A heart full of love is so big that it can embrace the universe.  Once we develop this original and mighty domain, even God will want to come and take naps there.

Since we do not embrace God through knowledge, we must understand how great a heart of love is.

Love transcends all national borders, because God's love know no boundaries.  It transcends two different races drawing no distinction between blacks, whites and yellow races.  This is why the love of God is great.

Despite the environment, the environment adapts to love's flow and develops.  God will be pleased once we have adopted the perspective that makes this happen.   This is why we must walk the path of love.

You Need God to Create Unity

In order to create harmony, you need God.

Human efforts alone will never bring about unity to the world.  We have seen throughout history that this is true.

Whether through political, religious or philosophical means, a world of peace has not been established.

This is because all of the human efforts have not fully included God.

God brings you the power of life.

When He dwells with you, you will never lack energy.  Thus, as the dwelling of God, you become a powerhouse, able to continue day and night without running out of energy for His will.

When you do your mission work or fundraise all day in the heat or the cold weather, there is a constant battle between your mind and body.

You will feel fatigued and powerless once your mind and body are united.

God can then dwell in you when you completely empty yourself and you immediately feel abundant energy and vitality.

Therefore, each individual is like a factory with all of the machines running and you don't have to worry about going on strike from overworking.

Some people of faith wonder what is wrong with a little drinking, smoking, or taking drugs.

Liquor, for example invades your body and upsets your balance with the ability to make you commit some mistake before God.

Once you achieve perfect harmony within you, liquor, cigarettes and marijuana will not distract you from your course.

But while you are in the process of growing, you tend to look in all direction and the wrong elements try to woo you to it and away from God's course.

Once you pay attention to them while you are spiritually immature, you will be drawn into their sphere.


Take another example: although there is no line between you and me, you feel some pulling power from me, don't you? I may try to chase you away, but you come right back, just like a rubber band! You may think about me day and night, and you feel good because of the invisible link pulling on you. That is the power of life. All living things orient themselves toward the power of life; plants, for example, grow toward the sunlight.


No one can replace Father.

His position cannot be appointed.  It is the same with you.  Can anyone replace your mate or loved one and swap them for someone else?

Certainly not.

We should not be satisfied with just doing well as an individual, you need a family.  The family and its members are essential.

By uniting with them, you are able to enlarge yourself.

In a way, family is your larger self.  Your society and nation are still larger selves.

The world can be your larger self.  Through unity, each person wants and becomes a greater and better being.  Without this principle, the standards of value in society cannot be determined.

Home Church, witnessing to 360 homes in your area and caring for them, is the greatest contribution Father has given to the world.  It is the base for becoming a larger self, transforming the individual into the greater world self.

According to the Principle, a perfect plus automatically brings forth a perfect minus.

If you make yourself the perfect minus, then perfect harmony will result.

God is the perfect plus of the universe.

If there is a negative force that tries to threaten that perfect pair, universal power will shatter it.  If this is not true, then the law of the Principle, universal law is false and unnecessary.

If God is the perfect plus, then the rest of creation, the world, spirit world should be in the perfect minus position in relation to God.

Therefore, we become the perfect object.  If the Messiah is the perfect minus to God, if the whole United States tries to harm him, the universal force will make it stop.

This is how the truth and philosophical conclusion must operate.

Father has seen proof of this statement:


"Representative Donald Fraser, with the overwhelming power of the US Congress behind him, came against me and our movement. I gave Bo Hi Pak instructions to go out fearlessly and fight. Knowing this truth, I took the position of a perfect minus and Bo Hi Pak was united with me. No power under the sun, not even the universal power, can shatter such a relationship.

Anything that tries to break the harmony between God and me will be repelled by universal power. History has proven this.

Who was defeated in the battle with Congressman Fraser? Who was defeated in the battle with the Carter administration? Was I defeated? I ran a beautiful test of this theory-like a laboratory experiment- with Fraser and Carter and I proved that it works.

The same principle is behind my announcement of a rally in Moscow. Everybody said, "A Moscow rally? How could we?" But if this principle is true, the Moscow rally will become a reality when you unite with me and the absolute minus.

Yes or no?

This is a logical theory and I am not acting blindly. There is logic and philosophy behind my actions. By following this principle, we will ultimately bring the universe and the world into unity(world peace). That is our ultimate goal."

When we talk about winning over the world, we are not speaking of physical means.

Winning over people with love and enveloping them with love is the goal.  

Father urges members to become bigger people and take greater challenges.

You only win people through loving them.

Loving them more than their own family, giving them greater and deeper service.  By loving and serving the world, you create a vacuum or a perfect minus from which to work.

High pressure is drawn to a vacuum, so when you become a perfect vacuum, God moves in.  No power under the sun can stop Him from dwelling with you as His perfect object.

Please become like perfect, low pressure air. God is the world's ultimate high pressure air.

But there has never been corresponding low pressure air produced for the dwelling place for God on earth.

If you become the lowest of all air pressures, practicing humility, you are a perfect minus.  Then God's high pressure will flow into you and fill you.

This is a natural law and principle.

You are sent out daily to suffer and endure hardships as people of faith, not because God hates you, but so you can rid yourself of your fallen, sinful ways and become a perfect minus to God.

Opposing elements look for their perfect mate for the achievement of perfect harmony.

This universal repelling power was not created to destroy someone, but guide them into their complete harmony.

Universal power is not a destructive power.  This is why we love our enemy.  By loving the worst opposing force, you are actually guiding it into a greater harmony.

Realm of Existence

New History of Love

If you told your hand that it could not participate in a family feast, the hand would protest loudly. All your senses would insist on participating in that love.

When a young couple feel the rush of their first love, their whole bodies concentrate on this, day and night.

This should not be the high point of their love experience.  It is easy for a couple to get lost in the romance, but the intensity of their love should become even greater over time

Have you experienced such a total concentration of love?

How is it possible to get 100 percent concentration of God's love?  God wants to come to you and touch every part of you.

When you possess love, then everything sparkles with love once God comes to touch you.  So far, no one has been able to place all their five senses into that genuine love, therefore, we are making a new history.

All five senses were created to be intoxicated in love, thus you become a total chunk of love.

God sees such delicious love, He swallows the whole thing without peeling it.  Even though God is very hygiene-oriented, whenever He sees love, He would not stop to wipe anything clean; He would just swallow it.

When are the five senses able to unite through love?  When you are intoxicated in true love, then with that love you are able to love your husband or wife, your children, neighbors, and nation.

This is the perfection of man which God sought in the beginning of creation.

Where can we find such love today?

The heavenly order of loving God first, then love between man and woman who then love humanity and creation, has been destroyed by the fallen world.  They don't like the heavenly principle and resists its restrictions.

People often misuse the freedoms in this country.  Therefore, love also has become perverted.

Is it really freedom if one just lives only for themselves?

Freedom can only blossom as true freedom through the discipline of heavenly principle.

Maybe men and women go to the club for the evening.

It will be all right for the husband to dance with one of the girls if his wife is there, since then nothing is hidden.  But if a man goes there deceiving his wife while leaving her at home, then doing an unprincipled act with another woman, that is totally wrong.

In love, there must be strict discipline, a strict principle to follow.

After the presidential inauguration there were several inaugural balls. Many men and women were dancing and socializing.  How many of them were thinking about the true order of love?  In many cases, such events help to split up families.


Celebrating in dance is beautiful. I have nothing against it, but it should come under the Principle. Otherwise, such things can be destructive to homes and society. 


It is truly beautiful to witness a husband and wife going out together and rejoicing while they dance and love one another.  If a wife introduces another woman to her husband and then they dance this is fine if it is not initiated by the husband.

However, most times, the man will disregard his wife and look for another sexy woman to dance with or be with.  This is not principled.

God is the master of Principle and He dwells in love.

Love blossoms through the Principle way.  Therefore, when a man and woman marries within the Principled realm, they are building a principled foundation upon which true love can blossom.  This love must be public-minded and unselfish.

Why?

Because no one is able to possess love.  Love is activated only when there is an object which it can relate.  So, without an object, love is impossible.  Even God must obey this law.

Love needs an object in all four directions.

The object completes a circuit that can channel love to you.  In order to receive love, you have to activate it by giving love.  Once you are able to love and serve someone or something, that love will return to you.  Selfish love dictates, "You must love me.  I am here to receive love."

Satan works in this way.  He works through selfish love.  That kind of love always drags you down like an anchor.  In most cases in America, women marry because they want the man to love and serve them.  The women are ready to receive love once they marry.

This thinking is wrong and should change.  You should think, "I want to marry so I can have an object to give my fervent love to."

No matter how big and strong a man is, he will be melted by true love. 

Your giving love will melt him.

Unfortunately, American women are often good about speaking about their love, but are not good at showing it.

Love is an action and deed.

A good woman acts out her love and speaks praise with her mouth.  That's the way it is supposed to be.  If there is love, if it is not public-minded, then it is destructive love.

Which do you think should be more important to a couple?

A savings account or their love?

In homes today, there are two savings account, one for the husband and one for the wife.  If one was to borrow from the other, they would even write a receipt!  If the son asks for money, he would have to pay back with interest.

Is love cheaper than a paper or a piece of money?

When a husband and wife are truly in love, they are one body.  When your whole body becomes sacrificial, a bank account is nothing.  The husband's money is the wife's money, and the wife's money is his money.

God's love dwells in the public place, in the public-minded person. 

The Church promotes the public minded action and love.

When you fundraise, this is with a public mind and is a public deed which you do for the sake of America and mankind.  At the end of the day, you do not even save a penny for yourself, but give it as an offering for the restoration of the world.

Through your blood, sweat and tears, you are able to restore that money from the world and the people by offering it back to God and His will.

You want to set this tradition that we live our entire lives for the public purpose.  What reward do you get for doing this?

Your reward is receiving God's love which is the public love.

People stand back from this public-minded living because they believe that they will lose everything including their sense of self.

Actually, by sacrificing your carnal desires, you get no better deal than this because you gain everything.  Everyone thinks the one who lives such a life for others is a loser, but we are not at all.

Through practicing it, you have become more and more prosperous and closer to the center of love, God.  We know there are many well-educated, good-looking people who come from good families.  In comparison, we look like lowly merchants who do not have anything.

Yes, by the worldly standard, they appear to be far better than Father, but once they determine to stop their worldly ways and go this true way of life, they try to live up to this standard.

Once you are able to practice this public-minded love, you get a taste of real love.  If you need proof, then leave the religious way of life and then compare what you get in the world with the life of a true person of faith.

Then when  you look back at all of the experiences you had in witnessing and touching other's life and bringing them to God's true love, then you will really know what an exciting and rewarding life you have been living.


I have a pretty sharp mind. Do you think I have not thought of this point? By living with public-minded love you gain everything, including the love of God. I will be practicing this the rest of my life. When money comes to me, I don't think about putting it into my children's bank account. I want to spend it for the public purpose. I even want to borrow as much money as possible in my lifetime to spend for the public purpose.  If you know my attitude, then when I tell you to raise funds, no one will complain. Instead, everyone will respond, "You can depend on us."


This true way of life is just and righteous for the past, present and the future.  When you live in this principled way, even though your circumstances seems meager, you feel good.

You are not able to explain it, but your conscience is clear and you are able to sleep well at night without any worries.

The difference is, this is a public-minded place.

We pursue public-minded love because that is where God comes to dwell. 

If we want to attract God to us, we have to live in a public-minded lifestyle

Once a former Harvard professor came to hear Father at East Garden.  He told father that he was the first professor to join such a movement and asked what he should do for God's dispensation.

Father answered him, "I'll tell you.  You can go out into the world, get persecuted, cursed and and give out your life for the dying world."  Without reservation Father sends out members in this manner to suffer.

This is the Principle way of life.

Such a professor with a glorious track record may have been looking for praise and a complement instead.  This is the heavenly declaration: to go out and receive persecution, be condemned and live for the sake of the world.

This principle is the same for the President and prestigious professor.  Father would give the same answer if the President of the United States asked the same question.

The tombs of those who had died for the sake for God and mankind would never be dry.  Generations of people to come will lay flowers and shed tears there in their honor.

God loves not just America, but the whole world.

He is experiencing many problems that only people of faith can solve.  A faithful person can go to God and tell Him that they will take on the worst problem and solve it for Him.

Right now, God's greatest headache is communism.

The other problem is the decline in the true Christian spirit.  We are to go out in the world and revive this once thriving Christianity.

Another great headache for God is the moral decline around the world, in particular the young people.

So, we must go out to the world and assure God that you will take away His headache by restoring the young people.

Americans have become individualistic and have become selfish.  You should become a good example by serving the world, suffering for the sake of others.  Because you have dedicated your life for this cause foregoing the secular way of materialism, you are told that you are brainwashed.

How should you reply?

You can reply, "We are the new breed of people who hate injustice."

No one wants to suffer, that is human nature.

But you are asked to go down into suffering.  Do you think the Messiah has an easy task to fulfill of world restoration?  We would soon to believe that the Messiah returns and at the snap of the finger restore the world to a peaceful and beautiful existence.

The reality is, it is far more difficult for him, than for the person who gets his instruction.

Many people think that the Principle is wonderful, but they want to go about it in the American way.  This idea is rejected.  By following the principle order in an American way, then we become part of the declining America and then God would say goodbye. There would be nothing left to work with.

The third principle we must practice is sacrifice.  Why is this so when no one naturally sacrifices oneself for the whole after the fall?

The love of God dwells with you when you sacrifice.

Sacrifice with love; give yourself to others with love; then you shall win everything there is. 

When we look at Jesus' situation from just a human viewpoint, he looked miserable and defeated.

Jesus was pounded to a cross, ridiculed by soldiers, yet, the same Jesus was able to eventually conquer the world because he sacrificed with love.

Even though there are more people who have a more miserable death than Jesus, their death was not able to bring anyone to salvation before God.  This is because they died for their own individual cause, or for their own crime.

Plus, Jesus had grown to a perfected being without sin, and through his death, he died for the sake of the world, with love.  That is what true sacrifice is.  That love has the power to conquer the world.  When you are conquered by this love, you don't mind that conquest.  When you become a prisoner of true love, you sing and dance.

These are the three principles that are points that a noble religious teaching always emphasizes.

One: You should follow the heavenly Principle.
Two: You should be public-minded.
Three: You should be sacrificed.

This is because that is where God comes to dwell.  That is the only way you attract the infinite love of God.

Through the fall we severed our connection to God.

As fallen human beings, it was not natural for the pure, perfect God to embrace and love the children of sin.  Through our suffering and repentful spirit, God is willing to forgive and love us as his adopted children.

You are bound by your own will.  There is no need for someone to look over your shoulders and check to see if you are doing it or not.


My life was so hard many times that I wanted to quit, but I couldn't. No one else forced me to go on, but I kept going because I had tasted the love of God. When you experience the deeper love of God, you can't for one moment go away from it.  In a way, I miss the vicious persecution and life in the communist prison because there I tasted the love of God the most. 


Within God's love, nothing is impossible.

Because of this love, God was able to endure and be patient through the thousands of years since the fall.  He was able to be patient after many saints and people were martyred, persecuted and suffered to bring about this world of peace.

You would want to experience this total overwhelming love don't you?

If you are able to practice the sacrificial way of life, then you become the central person in your home.

First, become Principle-minded.

That means that you respect your parents because they are your parents.  This is the Principle.  Be sacrificial for the sake of the whole household.  Then the family will naturally want you in that position.

Whoever can truly put this to practice for the nation, they shall become the leader and master of the nation.  The same Principle applies to America and to the world.
