God Brings Union to Man and Woman

Yesterday's post focused on the attitude one needs to have of their spouse before marriage.  One of full acceptance and love for their spouse and not rejecting their spouses based on looks or educational background.  God himself puts Himself in a position of absolute love. 

What is man's relationship to God?  We are the substantial object to the invisible spiritual God.  Man and woman are eternally in the object position to God's love.  Love comes from and begins with a relationship with God.  God used love to create the first man and woman.

Moisture is ever present in the air and presents itself as condensation.

"Adam and Eve are like the droplets that appear from moist air when the temperature drops. When the temperature rises, then it is gas, and that is invisible, analogous to God."

The difference between man and woman is likened to a magnet;man is plus and woman is minus.  In order for energy to be generated, man needs woman and woman needs man.  Man and woman need absolute faith, love and obedience centered on God to come together as God's ideal of creation.


Adam is in the subject partner position and Eve is the object partner.  Why did God creat man and woman as convex and concave?  Can they fit perfectly without God's intervention?

God intervenes between convex and concave to meet each other and man needs God's permission as together man and woman are in the object position to the Heavenly Father.  Dialectical and communist theory would deny this reality. 

Their theory is that spirit and God does not exist, only material exist and is the reason for all existence.  Divine Principle crushes this theory. God as the origin of man and woman bringing them together and working through them and multiplying through His good lineage.

Man and woman truly fit one another through true love by first receiving heavenly true love, then man and woman meet each other.  Before they meet, they are each half perfect.  Man and woman alone cannot be perfect. 

Individuals nowadays try to obtain perfection on their own, but why did God create man and woman as convex and concave?  Because of love, God created man's and woman's sexual organs.

For love to stimulate the life of a man and woman, they need harmony with one another.  Man and woman are motivated to unite with each other when they center on true love.  Without the attraction power of love, they will run out of energy to sustain life or marriage.

Man and woman are not to just live for their own generation, but connect the next generation to their love activity.  Man's and woman's love are not two different entities, but are connected to one true love.  Centering on this one true love, then unity comes between them.  This love originates with God.

A man and woman meet each other centered on God.  They connect to one another to create one blood lineage.  A wife may have ten thousand generations connected to her physical cells.  Ancestors from thousand years ago are still connected to her body.  Through her life on earth, she connects these beings to the future.  Blood lineage never dies or disappears because it will always be connected to descendants. 

Do women believe in their man 100% absolutely these days?  We usually find that they are complaining about their man based on their own self-centered ideas.  This is an important issue concerning marriage.  To go the opposite way of this trend is to have absolute pure love for the spouse.  No matter the situation or the difficulty, your mind should be unchanging toward following the spouse who is centered on God.

Because we are descendants of a tainted blood lineage and are fallen individuals, we have become valueless people. Without knowing God, you don't know absolute obedience.

"Did you wear your best clothes today? When you wear it, you may feel you have the best clothes of anyone here. You never think you are second best. But you should think about how God looks at you. Then what idea comes?"

If God looks at you dressing up, is He positive or negative about it? I am looking at the woman’s side in all history. Did they use their sexual organ proudly or not? I am looking for such a woman in history. Maybe you want to be the woman with the number one sexual organ in the world.

Which side is greedier, man or woman?  When we look in history, can we evaluate if there has been women who have used their sexual organs properly in the sight of God?  What about man?  Have you ever wondered if there was any woman like Hitler who killed 6 million people.  Only man has led such atrocities.  It seems then that man is greedier than woman.

God has both convex and concave, feminine and masculine attributes.  This is why both man and woman love God.  This is also why a pregnant woman have three persons inside of her:  God, the father, and the mother. 

"Which is first, convex or concave? The rain falls down and the ground is flat. Think about concave: it expects the convex, that is why it is called concave. So convex is first. Why is this important? The sexual organ is God and Adam’s organ."

All men have two testicles. What is the central point? God. Woman’s sexual organ accepts the man’s. So it is soft but strong. Man and woman have love, and through that, life is transferred. True love is not enough; the relationship is important for the transfer of life. That’s why the sexual organ is the foundation of love, or base of love and the palace of love.

The  palace of love originally was to be Adam and Eve.  This may be weird if you are hearing this for the first time.  The author of the Divine Principle talks about the man and woman's sexual organs as the palace of love.

A nation can fall due to the misuse of the sexual organs, just take a look at kings and religious leaders of the past.

Without a great husband or wife, you cannot expect great children.  The man's palace of love is only accomplished through the woman's sexual organ and vice versa.  A man's life connects with woman's love and woman's life connects with man's love.

 

"In Korean, a woman’s sexual organ is called jago, which means the palace of children. The woman’s sexual organ gathers the blood lineage and connects it with life. All kinds of things happen there. Blood lineage is connected with the universe. There are two different lineages meeting there in the sexual organ; they mingle there and create a new one."

Originally, there was only supposed to be one lineage, instead, the satanic blood lineage runs through our veins.  God's idea was for His blood lineage was supposed to be for all of humankind.  Our lives were meant to live for the sake of others.  Through this lifestyle, we can bring selfless love.  A woman's love is not owned by woman herself.  Her love is connected to all of her ancestors.  This is why tradition is important to follow.  We need tradition.

When one woman connects her sexual organ to two men, this destroys the center.  Without a central point, it can not be eternal and clear.  Remember the account of Adam and Eve after they had given unto the "fruit".  They covered their sexual organs.

Why?

If the fruit they ate was an apple, they would cover their mouths, but the fruit was the misuse of their sexual organs so they covered their parts.  You hide your transgressions.  They were naked and unashamed before the fall, but they partake in love without God's permission and before their love was mature.

This is why we repeat over again, "absolute faith, love and obedience".  It is the most important in our relationship with God. If beside your husband there was another beautiful woman, could you be happy?  Free sex with a different lover every night is ruining this country.

You must absolutely love your husband.

Yet still as people of faith we contain fallen nature within us.  This is a source of self-destruction and a fearful thing, a thief within us.  You are against God's will when you complain about this and that.  Do you understand the meaning of absolute faith, love and obedience?

Even if we invest our lives to understand this concept it will still not be enough.  Future leaders should be pointed to Unification theological Seminary.  Even if a child goes to Harvard, they should still graduate from UTS to show church leadership.

No matter how many master's one obtains, if they do not understand the spiritual side of matters, they did not prepare well.  Even if one can lead a business, leadership means to prepare to lead the church as well.  some people hesitate learning more because they do not know how much the spirit world affects our lives.

Money means nothing. If one does not follow the direction of the  higher true teachings of the spirit world in relation to man, no matter how much pride or money one has, they will fall at the end of their life.  The Completed Testament known as the Divine Principle should not be taken lightly.  The author invested all ideas in ways to save the world and sacrificed his life for the sake of humanity.  His whole life is an exemplary course.  Young people should be willing to follow this idea.

Before and After the Marriage Ceremony

Welcome to another week of inspiring words based on the Divine Principle written by Dr. Rev. Sun Myung Moon.  We'll continue the topic of marriage and ideal couples centered on God.  In the Unification Church, members are taught the principles of the Bible from God's point of view and how He had planned a world of peace starting with the first family of Adam and Eve. 

Once members align themselves to these principles on the individual level, they are ready for what is called the Blessing Ceremony.  This ceremony is the matching of two people who most likely never met before.  It is different from any minister giving two people in marriage.  Unification Church members believe Father Moon is the Messiah who God uses to give marriage DIRECTLY.  Through this, the couple is engrafted to God's direct and pure blood lineage and pass it to their children who are then born without the ORIGINAL sin connected to Satan's blood lineage.  Father Moon believes through the restoration of family through intercultural and interracial marriages, world peace can gradually be achieved. 

This movement is worldwide with millions of members all over the world. The following is a speech he gives about love and the blessing:


"Have you ever thought about why I give such long sermons? I have a dramatic answer: because I hate to leave you. I enjoy every minute of my time with you. I study each of you, looking at your features, observing your reactions, inspecting your eyes, nose and mouth. I think about what kind of person would be your ideal mate. That is why the matchings (arranged marriage Blessing) go so fast: I have already done my homework!

I'm not talking this way just to be charming. I mean it. A godly person should be fond of other people. Godly people should love and enjoy their fellow men. Whether you go east or west, north or south, whether it is day or night, it makes no difference.

You must enjoy people. That is why people feel so drawn to me. If Africans were told not to come here, they would feel very sorrowful. They would try the front door, back door and side door and find some way of entering.

Why?

Because they would be attracted to the person who loves and cares most deeply for Africa. That is the result of my ideology. I want to meet everybody and establish bonds with them. I want to love all Americans; I love America more than the Americans do.

Young people are most sensitive to the magnetic power of love.

Even before I came to the United States, I knew that young people would be attracted to me, and my prediction was absolutely correct. You are young people, aren't you? Actually, what I am saying is simply that young people have purer minds than older people. Young people are more attracted to true love.


Yearning for People

Have you also been longing for other people? Have you been missing others, yearning to care for them?

Throughout my entire life, my job has been to love people and pray for them. I find that my prayers are answered; my prayers become reality.

Whenever I meet someone, I enjoy being with him or her; I can entertain, care for and love that person. When people are in love, there are no strange feelings between them. It makes no difference what habits they may have. It makes no difference whether they eat kimchee and kocheejang, or cheese and butter. There are no barriers between lovers. Their union is the beautiful culmination of love. Nothing else is more important.

A perfect plus is like a dynamo; it always creates a perfect minus. It happens automatically, without effort. Wherever a perfect plus is found, a perfect minus appears. If you are a perfect plus, you can sit in the middle of a village doing nothing, and the villagers will come to you automatically.

People are always drawn to me. Do you feel the same way about me? If I touch your hand, do you feel bad or good? How do you men feel? How do you women feel?

Many members think that if they could only shake hands with me once, their heaven would be guaranteed. But they haven't had the chance yet. My handshake is very expensive! I seldom shake anybody's hand, but still people follow me. 

Love Opens Every Door

Imagine someone who has just met a woman for whom he feels a tremendous attraction. Perhaps the two have just recently fallen in love. But then that man meets the Unification Church and he completely forsakes his lover.

Then he begins to yearn day and night, even weeping with longing to meet Reverend Moon. Only love can explain this. Only God's love can work this kind of magic. Love opens every door, including the door to the Kingdom of Heaven.

Such a person may come to where I am staying and I may yell at him, "Get out of here! Why are you sticking around?" But actually, if he loves me so much, I am already living with him in spirit. I will always remain with him.

At night, such a person doesn't have to worry about walking down a dark road, because I will take his hand and lead him. He could even close his eyes while walking down an alley, and I could tell him to step down and he would automatically do it. If I told him to step up, turn left or turn right, he would do so without even opening his eyes. That is how love works.

Physically, I have only one body; I am physically limited. Spiritually, however, I can be a million persons; such a thing is possible spiritually. I am known as a mysterious person, someone with mystical qualities, but actually it is not unusual.

Many, many times throughout the years and decades of my life, I have shed tears out of longing for God. When I cried out for God, missing Him, aching for Him, the entire spirit world would open up to me.

You should long for me just as much as I long for God. Actually, people in the Unification Church who don't long for me, who don't miss me, who have no tearful desire for me are not really members of the Unification Church. When you do reach that level of longing, you can immediately achieve unity, and the entire spirit world will open up to you.

Lawful, Public Love
My concept is that we should be people of deep longings; we should enjoy every minute we spend with someone. When we care about others, we have no dull moments. Meeting others is the proper job for people of God. That is what my life is all about. I am an expert at meeting others.

Someone who comes to meet me at East Garden for the first time may plan to stay only half an hour, but he discovers it isn't so easy to leave. I never tell anyone not to go, but people just don't want to get up and leave. This is a result of the power of love that draws people to me.

People are supposed to long for and miss one another. If love depended on appearances, an ugly person would have a burdensome life. Therefore, God, who is the king of wisdom and justice, designed us to be lovers. When you are in love, nothing matters; ugliness is no concern; you can accept everything.

However, there is one important principle in matters of love. It should be a lawful, public love; that means unselfish love. True love is definitely public love. Through true love you can gain everything, even the spirit world. Since you cannot go alone to the spirit world, you need to go with your beloved. Therefore, a truly loving person can open up the spirit world.

Those of you who are engaged, raise your hands. Your engagement is unique. Many of you were engaged to a stranger. But even so, when you first looked at that stranger, you didn't hate him or her, did you? After looking at the stranger, you didn't want to go anywhere else.

That is the spirit I live by at East Garden. I cherish everyone who comes to sit with me, considering each as my beloved."SMM

Qualitifications for Marriage

"When you are permitted by God to start your family, you are being permitted to begin working on your basic right to inherit the Kingdom of Heaven. In other words, that is the first step towards realizing the Kingdom of Heaven."

Today, we see many marriages do not last beyond a few years, but we do not hear much about the faithful marriages that last unto death.  As the world moved more toward the goal of materialism and individualism, a man and woman in marriage found it harder to stay together, but it is possible. 

In order to be married, one must have acquired the heart to love unconditionally and give unceasingly to their spouse.  We are living in a culture where each spouse wants to receive and not give.  Secondly, marriages without God at the center are doomed to fail without direction or hope of how to live as a true husband and wife.

God spent thousands of years to work through lineage to bring one man and woman together in order to restore the mistake of the first husband and wife. 

He originally intended for man and woman to join together absolutely centered on His ideal without the presence of the fall.  God in these last days has hope through the unity of a man and woman and their family, a world a peace will begin. 

When we look at the significance of marriage from God's point-of-view, should we look at our spouse and go, "I don't like the way he look," or "I wish he was more educated" or some sort of criticism?  This is selfish thinking when a couple has not given their marriage even three years to develop before giving up. 

A couple has many forces of oppositions from the moment they bring their different backgrounds and differences under one roof.  How can anyone dislike their spouse without even giving the relationship a try to connect?

In the Unification Church, individuals learn the teachings of the Divine Principle, the Completed Testament, and align their lives toward God's vision of restoring man.  The founder of the church, as God's representative, matches two individuals together in marriage.  Sometimes, members will have their own idea and characteristics of a spouse and insist on being matched to such a person.  This is a self-centered way of thinking and not for the purpose of the whole. 

Father Moon was never enthusiastic about matching such individuals together based on their taste alone, because they weren't assured to have normal, healthy children and have a long healthy life.  Lineage is more important than love.  Those who insisted strongly to be match to someone solely based on their own desires, oftentimes found one spouse or the other met an untimely death through accident or disease.

"Can you make your own happiness by yourself? No, you need someone who can help you. Who is that someone? That is the True Parents, the Divine Principle, the Heavenly world, and especially God."

We absolutely need God in the choosing of our spouse.  How do you truly know someone background, ancestry, their character or their past deeds?  Father Moon takes matching two individuals seriously and only with God's direct blessing, and has more knowledge about marriage and children.  He said he is more serious about his member's marriages than they are.

"When I tell you, "Such a marriage will not work," you may wonder how I can know. I have a special spiritual "antenna" which never fails. When I feel a match is bad, it is always bad. That is not because I want it to be bad; it is simply the truth." SMM

Your Own Ideal Family

Are you ready to create an ideal family?

The author of the Divine Principle said that if he had said something wrong to someone, it took seven months of intense effort and prayer to rectify that action and still the situation was never as good as before.

If just a few words could cause such intense damage, what about a wrong act of love?  It would take tens of thousands of years to restore that mistake.  This is why your marriage is the most awesome experience and at the same time the most fearful position to be in.  Do people think deeply about their marriage that this chance only comes once in hundreds of thousands of years?

A marriage blessed directly by God, when that couple goes out, will have the attention of all of spirit world and God's attention like an invisible limelight following them. 

We should not evaluate our spouse or others based on just superficial attributes or physical appearances.  The true ideal marriage is much deeper than these superficial qualities.   

By Heavenly standard, if we already are thinking about kissing each other, we have the mouth of a thief.  When we look at our spouse, we should see them with ideal eyes and have a pure spiritually elevated feeling toward our spouse.  The wedding ceremony is really a place of great judgment.  If you and your spouse make a good foundation for your marriage, then you will receive Heavenly reward.

If your marriage makes a bad foundation, it is irreversible and you will make hell for yourself.  Some people when they find this out feel overwhelmed as the wedding approaches and ask, "What should I do?"

"One thing you can do is to have complete trust in the words I have spoken. Receive those words as your protection and your supervision. If you try to live in accordance with those words for your life, you can be confident about the future. If you resolve not to waver or look back you can have confidence."

Father Moon advises to pledge to God one thing:

"Father, whatever the difficulties may be in the future, I know that my best friend and best helper is my spouse. I will never let go of him, even if he kicks me. It is out of the question to ever disown him."  You should pledge this to God above all else. If you do not do this, you may get married but you may not bear the best fruit.

After you have pledged to never give up on your spouse as your best support, your children will remind you of your past mistakes if you ever transgress on your promise. If you are to divorce, after knowing the quality of marriage how guilty would you feel for the rest o your life? Your own heart, body and spirit will judge and curse you more than anyone else.

Before your marriage, you should set your mind to do well and not make a mistake so goodness will come to you.  When problems arise, we should not look at other people and find fault with them.  Instead we should look within ourselves.

People will respect you, your spouse will respect you and will be inspired to love you.  When a husband respects his wife and treats her well, she will be inspired to be obedient to him because this is the Heavenly standard of marriage which God created.

This text explains why how external appearance alone does not constitute who a person truly is.  If one can attest that they are completely perfect in heart and spirit centered on God, than they are qualified to choose any spouse they wish and criticize their spouse in any way they wish.

"In the Bible there is a very graphic illustration of this point. Jesus came upon a crowd preparing to stone to death a woman caught in immorality, according to the law of the time. Before they killed her they asked Jesus his opinion about the situation.

At first he just bent down and wrote with his finger in the sand, pretending to ignore them. However, the people pressed him to answer and he told them that those people who were free of sin should throw the first stones. One by one, the crowd dispersed until there was no one there except the accused woman who bowed down to Jesus."

What about you and me?  Are we better than these people?  Some women will criticize others, but refuse to be criticized.  Each women represent all womenkind, so if you treat your spouse unjustly, no one will know, but women in spirit world will know and accuse you deeply.  The same is true for men.

We must understand the true meaning of marriage. 

"According to the maturity and genuineness of your love, the real blessings of life will come to you."

A couple that has the understanding of the precious era in which we live and are truly grateful for everything that comes to them will receive the deepest blessing in life.  If you endure great difficulties in life without taking a break, yet  you still feel gratitude to God, He would like to be nowhere else but with you to give His blessing to your family.

Blessing goes to those who are grateful in every situation even the difficult ones.

"Sometimes I give money to someone in order to see how he will spend it. I always respect the person who carefully uses his money and saves as much as he can to use for the best purpose. Some people just spend money without thinking."

To establish a tradition, you need to have three generations observing it, grandparents, parents, and children.

It is more valuable to be grateful toward God in a bitter situation than when receiving a lot of blessing which anybody can be grateful then.

Usually people pray to have the best husband or wife, but the one who prays, "I will be satisfied with anyone You give to me, because I will help her to be the best woman in the world."  This type of person will receive the best and most handsomest spouse.

That is the principle.

We must remember how much God labored and how our spouse is the fruit of a long and complex history.  One should not say, "I don't like him or her".  Even God does not reject anyone.  What makes us so great to be above God himself with our own wild tastes and preferences?

Haven't we seen the disastrous results from choosing our own mates based on our own selfish desires?  We should consult God in our marriage. We should digest all the bad points of our spouse and not just enjoy their good points.  Whatever these points are, we should learn to love him or her.
