We Choose Heaven or Hell

Religious people who tell those who drink that they are going to hell have no peace of mind.

“I am weary of them. When I see them saying, ‘That goes against the Bible, Matthew chapter so-and-so. You're going to hell,’ really, those rascals. If killing someone could save a nation, then don't you think they would pass a law to free the person who had killed for the sake of saving the (whole) nation?”

You decide whether you go to heaven or hell.

“I do not decide. God does not decide. You are the one who decides. If you complain, it is hell. If you go with a grateful heart to places where you would have complained, it is heaven.”

God did not make hell out of jealousy or envy. Since false people appeared, God made hell as a warehouse in which to manage them.

For example, if you bought a cabbage to make coleslaw, but while making it you discovered the outer leaves had been eaten by worms, you would dump it into a rubbish bin.

This is the concept behind the creation of hell.

Since humanity committed the crime of the Fall, therefore, to remove sin from existence, someone who is qualified must emerge to reverse this problem.

Before the Second Coming, all people who were born on earth were destined to go to hell because there was no true condition for God to save them.

The highest level was paradise which was a waiting room for the creation of heaven.

Humanity has been born of a fallen lineage.  There has not been a moment when all of humankind has bowed down and attended God with all of its heart.

Adam and Eve grew according to the ideal of creation before they fell.

But they never attended God from a relationship of the heart.  How do we know this?  Because if Adam and

Eve truly could feel God’s heart and pain, they would have never crossed the boundaries of love which ultimately separated them from their Parent.

What is hell?

Hell is a place that has no relation to God or His love, life or lineage.

No matter how well you do while on the earth, the situation after the Fall is such that you cannot establish a relationship with Heaven or the realm of the Fall.

This is a bitter tragedy we find on earth.

It is a fact that human beings who were created by God fell from a good position where they can not relate to Him.

We were to lovingly attend Him, but He was left deserted by His children who followed His servant.  No one believed in Him or knew Him.

The bitter grief of heaven and earth is that no one attended and related with God in heart.

You have to hate your fallen, imperfect self.

You should hate your body.  Your enemy’s sinful blood pumps through your very veins.  You should understand that you cannot cut this line with a knife or burn it away.

You have become a waste factory that just consumes things of the creation and cannot receive God’s complete protection.

What determines the division between heaven and hell?

Just knowing or preaching the Bible is not enough.  It is decided through acting upon the original heart.

The boundary line between heaven and hell is determined by the heart.

When you cannot conform to the ideal of love, a reaction comes against you.

No one tells you to go to hell or sends you there.  This is why the Bible states “Love your enemy!” Genuine love gives its influence on the enemy.

If one sends love to his enemy once, twice, thrice and four times, the enemy disappears or is absorbed by this love for sure.  It is because love has such a great power that Jesus said to love the enemy.

How do you think God feels when He sees His children suffering in hell?  Would He sit joyfully on the throne happy with just a few praising His glorious name?

He is desperate trying to give them eternal life.

This is the only way that His responsibility as a parent will be fulfilled.

If after the Fall God eliminated every false thing then He could not stand in the position of a parent.

This is why God even has to eventually liberate hell no matter how hard the situation.

When a rebellious child sees his parents desperately trying to save him he will recognize how much they are doing for him and shout this out thousands of times for his sins.

A son will repent till his bones melt and his flesh falls away.  The parents’ heart is such as this.

Not even Satan can accuse God for His love in trying to save humanity.

No rule prevents forgiveness for a person who repents based on the love of his parents.

From this kind of heart, hell must also be liberated.  This is the way of a true devoted child.  Therefore, members believe that we must liberate even hell.

Why?

Because God has such a parental heart for His children, for us who have suffered from the Fall.

Once one is caught in hell, it is a place one can never escape.

Despite the fact that we feel that our mother, father and relatives are going to hell, you do not really feel the desperation to save them.  You think that it will somehow work out.

However, let’s think seriously about our beloved family members going to hell.

Human nature is such that if your parents were to go to prison, you would cry.  You would do all sorts of things to get them released.

Then, if you knew that your own sons and daughter, parents, and relatives, brothers and sisters were going to an eternal prison, would you just think casually about their fate?

The 'Self' is the Ticket to Hell

What is the greatest obstacle to entering heaven?

Yourself is your greatest enemy.

Hell and the satanic world were created when humanity became aware of ‘self’.  Lucifer took actions centered on himself.  He intensely thought of himself and gratifications only.

What is a traitor?

A person who puts himself before his nation is called a traitor to the nation.  Same with a family member before his family.

This path leads to hell and leads a person to ruin.

This foundation called the self, and centered on the self, leads to death.

Wanting to receive love is the path to hell and belongs to Satan's side. 

On the other hand, the path that wants to give love is the path to heaven and belongs to heaven’s side.
Parental love is on the side of heaven.  It continues to give even when the child refuses to receive.

Though all humankind is fallen, the true path still remains through parental love.

Because God is a parent, and we are His children, that kind of love still remains in fallen human beings.
Where are you headed?

“I will go to the spirit world and stay at the highest point of all kinds of love. Just as there is a North Pole and a South Pole, there is a Love Pole. No matter how hard you try searching at the half way point, or however much you go around, you will not find me.

“Since you cannot find me, you might say, "Rev. Moon went to hell." Would it be easy to stay at the highest point? "I will not freeze to death at the North Pole. I will be like a fireball of love!"

This is a great ideal and a great system of thought. So, everything will be fulfilled. Even God is inside me. The people of the world are inside me. Those who say that they will inherit love are of my tribe! You're not offended?”

If God was to visit hell, all of the satans there would bow their heads to Him.

Even Satan cannot oppose absolute love. 

All the gates of hell would open for God.

This is the basic rule for all relationships of all creation.  The mind has no boundaries.  God is like this; He does not have any boundaries in His mind.

If God wants to go to heaven, He can go there; if He wants to go to hell He can go there, too.  This means there are no walls in the mind of God.

A person who is on his way to his own execution would detest any clothes they wear no matter how elegant they are.

But if someone’s clothes were made by loving hands of his wife, no matter how ugly they might be, the clothes would shine extremely brightly.

We can conclude that anything done out of the essence of love will be welcomed by God wherever it goes. 

Even if something made out of love was to go to hell, God would go and be there with it.

People who go to prison for the person they love, they are not really in prison.

They are in a place that deepens the bond between them.  Therefore, true love can both control God at the highest of hell and at the lowest level.

This principle is the same throughout creation in the earth and in the world of plants and animals.  They all like the song of love.

When you wake up in the morning, would you like to hear the sound of birds singing love songs or the sound of them fighting one another?

Of course, you would like to hear their song of love.

In this universe there are no borders in places that have true love. 

Those who live with true love have what it takes to pass through any place.

They have the ingredients to control God and hell.  Love has the strength to break down barriers and go anywhere.

Love became the pillar that let this universe come into being. 

In the same way, love, false love became the pillar that supports hell.

How difficult it is to make this right after something like this went so wrong.  Even if you wash it with a powerful bleach, because love makes up its root, it becomes tainted again.

Only the strength of true love can make total unity. 

Words of love would even make Satan in hell and the entire world say “Mmmm”.

The power of love makes everything become one. Is there anyone who can deny this?

Our work of restoration is building a cable car from the human world that is in the depths of hell to the highest summit where God is.

What is that cable made of?

If we made this connection with just money, it would snap in an instant.  What about with just knowledge?  Even a cable made with authority will not be enough.

A cable made of love that transcends the top and the bottom should be used to hang the cable-car so it can run smoothly on the cable.

What is a clown’s major job?

It is to make people happy and dance around.  If you cannot dance, at least keep up with the time.

If God was to see church members dancing in such a place, He is not so stingy to say, “Oh, dear, you as the founder of the Unification Church are found keeping time with a clown, then you go to hell.”

God is amazing.  But we have limited Him to our simple thinking.

God’s mind is not small like the leg of an ant.  We haven’t really realized that He is such a great God that if He opens His mouth to inhale all the air in the universe, He still have room to spare.

When we look at God’s providence throughout history, do you think that He send people in the spirit world to hell and only works to restore those on earth?

Since God is love in the highest sense, wouldn’t He desire that His providence of salvation be completed even if it crosses the borderlines of hell? Or He would not recognize those in hell and not mind they suffer for eternity?

The human mind is not like crystal but like ice. 

The mind has all sorts of odds and ends frozen within it after the Fall.

We work to melt it to get rid of these odds and ends and make it into a lump of pure ice that God could suck.

You can only be restored into a lump of ice that belongs to heaven rather than hell once you think you will become pure ice that God likes.

Hell Has no Relationship w/God's Love

Truly, what was the Fall?

Humanity fell into the darkest of nights because of the Fall, transforming our ticket to heaven to a ticket to hell.

Hell is a place that has no relationship to God's love, life or lineage or even to God Himself.

Hell is a place where you are alone and you are shut of from everything.

You have a longing for what you cannot attain.  You will feel the happiness in the large realm of this universe, but you will not be able to move one inch.

“So what is it that I am doing? I am initiating a movement to love God, heaven and earth, based on a universal system of thought: the Principle.

“This is so that from now on, you have to prepare the way you will take when you go to the spirit world. You are doing great things by making such preparations.”

Do you know how vast the spirit world is?  Since it is such an infinite world, you must have a global and universal mind to keep up with the pace of that world.  Therefore, you are making that world the stage for your activities while you are here on earth.

This is impossible if you are individualistic and worry only about your own needs.

If you are not able to connect to the whole, what greater hell is there than that?  It would be the same as catching an eagle and locking him in a dark hole where he could not move or feed.

The eagle symbolizes America.  Wouldn’t it be miserable to live just to eat and satisfy the stomach?  Is that happiness or unhappiness?

To commit suicide is the worst sin of all sins. It is an atrocity that destroys the universe. 

A person who commit’s the crime of killing themselves will go to the lowest of hells.

What if one of your nostrils was plugged and you could only breathe just a little bit through your other nostril?  That would be hell.

Hell is where you are unable to receive when you want.  It is also when you cannot give when you want to.

How long can you endure holding your breath?  How long can you go without exhaling or inhale when you need to?  That is hell.

You cannot eat without God's love in the spirit world. 

Without God’s love in the spirit world, you do not have the right to eat.

Hell is a place where you watch others eat, but cannot eat.  Only those who have experienced the life of heaven on earth with their mind and body united can take ownership in the Kingdom of Heaven.

What do you do when you are in spirit world?  Do you still eat?

You eat food based on love.  Therefore, a person who doesn’t have love will not be able to open his mouth no matter how much he wants to eat.  The food will jump from his face.  This is his punishment.

The world on earth is in chaos.  What about spirit world?  Since humans go to the spirit world in confusion, then the spirit world ends up in chaos as well.

Stealing something becomes a habit.  Once a person who steals a lot on earth goes to spirit world, he naturally wants to get something for nothing on the other side.  Since it is difficult to deal with an unprincipled person such as this, hell was created to separate them.

God did not create hell.  It is a storage place for waste and has nothing to do with God’s love.  All of humanity who begins from false love inevitably go to hell.

God also does not send people to hell, people go to hell on their own accord.

If a person who lived an evil, selfish life on earth was to go to heaven, they would not be able to breathe because the air there is God’s love.

Since they were not able to exercise their love lung while on earth, they will have to go to the lower parts of spirit world where they are comfortable.

Therefore, the person who goes to heaven lives with God eternally.

Since God’s mind and body are united, if a man and woman and their family can do the same and live together in front of God, and become His object partners, they will naturally go to the Kingdom of Heaven in spirit world after leaving the earth.

Those who lived a life with God while on earth could not live in hell.  They would not be able to breathe and the smell and taste would be repulsive.

If you reach heaven, you would be able to freely come and go from there even visit hell.  Would you rather be a person who is limited to a space in hell or a liberated person who is free?

You have to think of difficult people as the gate keeper and think that you are going to touch and melt their heart so they will guide you when you reach those gates.

Hell is a place without a future. 

Heaven has a future.

The Fall began in the place where there is no future in the public sense.  The self became the center and living for humanity’s own sake forsaking god is the way to hell.

Living for others is the way to heaven. That is the concept of heaven and hell. 

A flattened balloon slowly rises when it is filled with hydrogen.  It seems that the balloon can rise to any height, but it has limits.

A balloon stops at the place where it finds a balance with its own weight and remains at the same level of atmospheric pressure.

This is the same case in the spirit world.

Those who are greedy go down. They are heavy. 

For that reason, hell is where heavy things gather and collide with one another.

What if a racist white person went to the spirit world and the gate keeper to heaven was black?

If a person was blocked from entering heaven and made to go back, he might cling to the gatekeeper at that time and cry out for them to have mercy on them.

He would experience a living hell that is hundreds and thousands of times greater than any suffering they caused the black people in his lifetime.

“If I were God, I would also put such keepers by the gates. “

Everyone lives under the rule of the universal law.  No one can free themselves from this law.  This affects the order of love and morality from the family level to universal and then God.

One who has violated heavenly law is not free to go anywhere in the universe.

There is nowhere to run or go where you wish.

To attain a life that is supported by all the laws including the laws of nature, the true path is the one giving love and living for the sake of others.

You should realize that hell does exist. Hell is a place one goes who does not follow the way of carrying the banner of love.

“I hope that you can stand in court and be victorious.”

When you do not have the discipline to practice love, when you go to spirit world a reaction comes against you from everyone there, nobody will tell you or send you to hell.


Public or Private

Being public means living for the greater good, doesn't it? Being private means putting yourself first. Living for your own sake leads to hell. Public-mindedness leads to heaven.

Unification Church members are not without value.

We may look simple, but we are not a simple group that believes that we go to heaven by just going to church on Sunday or through just holding a Bible under our arm or giving tithing every now and then.

As a people, once we believe in something, we do it till the end.

Even if our spouse grabs us from following this path we are intense and follow the path of faith even at the risk of divorce.

The reason you suffer now is for the sake of finding the freedom of heaven. 

Even if you go to hell, after living such a courageous life on earth, no one in hell can hold you there after they have judged your life.

Going down to a lower position is something that would never happen in a society of brothers, but is only possible within the realm of the parental heart.

God can go to the bottom of hell where His children suffer; this is the example of a parent - a true parent.

Heaven in Spirit World Emerges from Heaven on Earth

Historically, people called by God were over fifty or sixty years old, worn out and one step away from death.

God used such people at that time, but knew He would work with the younger generation in the future.  Therefore, God was concerned about how to develop His providence through the young people.

Buddha was able to proclaim that he was his own lord throughout heaven and earth.  A person who becomes a complete object partner of God after disciplining himself to achieve oneness of mind and body, he can become his own lord.

“Once, I felt that I was grasping the world tightly in my hand, and it seemed to melt. When you reach this level, miracles can happen automatically. The curing of diseases comes as a natural result of religious life.”

Most people today go about their lives just waking up and eating and going about a daily routine and think they are fine in God’s eyes.

However, unless they are acknowledged as a partner to God and become owners of heaven, they are not fine in front of God.

Satan remains in the place where a person has not established an absolute faith.

Many religions say that heaven will be established by the their church and their founder’s teachings.  This is a fantasy.

Christianity is divided into hundreds of different denominations.  They call other churches heretical or satanic, but they do not do so from the authorization of God.

If churches judge other churches for their own benefit, then their motivation is not pure.
If our church does this, it will also decline.

Even the spirit world has been divided by walls. 

Buddhists and Confucians are separated by walls.

The barriers are overcome by a higher standard from God’s heart.  All the walls from the lowest to the higher realms must be broken down in reverse order.

The walls that separate ancestors and people from many thousand of years ago must be broken down.

All the walls on the earth must be eliminated and a true path connected to liberate hell must be paved.  Otherwise, the gates of heaven cannot be opened.

Members must be a better person than Buddha, than Confucius and even better than Jesus.

Before, religion had a purpose to only save the individual. Our purpose is family salvation.  This is the difference between Unificationism and other religions.

For salvation we are saving the family. When we go to heaven we are not going alone. 

No one can enter heaven alone.

Only after the ideal of a true couple is realized can heaven come about.  Therefore, in order to go to heaven, fallen human beings must go through  restoration and resurrection.


To give the Marriage Blessing to you is to open wide the gates of heaven.


“Through the Blessing, I am opening the closed gates of heaven for you.”

Jesus taught that the Kingdom of heaven was in our hearts.  But Jesus was miserable when he could not proclaim that that heaven was in our families.

When you have a family, you can sing with happiness that we can live in this way.

Yet Jesus who was God’s pure Son could not even dream of having a family necessary for heaven.

Jesus trodden a sacrificial path for three years in order to awaken to the fact that heaven within our hearts.  But then he was crucified.  Now, there is no heaven on earth.

The tracks of the Kingdom of Heaven on earth and those in the Kingdom of Heaven in the spirit world are the same.

In order for a train to pass the border of one country into the next, the tracks must match so the train continues running.

Likewise, the tracks on earth and in heaven should be connected.

The path of true love connects the rails from earth so the family can be the embodiment of love and go directly to heaven nonstop.

Therefore, the individual path should connect to the family’s path going in the same direction.

We are destined to go to the spirit world whether we like it or not. 

We are each like wanderers that move closer to that destination.

The biggest issue is whether you lived a life for others while on earth for just for yourself.  If you live more for others, you go to heaven, if you lived more for yourself, you go to hell.

This basic formula may be argued given your present situation, but when you die, you will know that this is the truth.

People went to different levels in the spirit world. They went to the position that correlates to the degree they have practiced filial piety according to the way of love.  How much they pledged their loyalty to their nation and fulfilled the way of a saint in the world.

People should take the path of righteousness while on earth. The path for the individual, family, tribe, nation and world or God should be one and the same path.
What is that path?

It is the path of original love.

Which world do you think you will go to in the end?  Are you going to heaven or hell?

On the way there are you the kind of person that says, “Father, please help me!” or a person who says, “Welcome, True Father!”?  That is a matter of life and death.

After marriage, you made a pledge to live happily.

“When I say live you should live well, it means that you should become an unchanging couple. In order to become like that, you should go to the ever-changing world and receive training together.

“You should keep your promises even if you go to a world where people are divided, north and south or in all four directions. You should maintain such a well-trained position.”

Children born of true parents as Adam and Eve should have become by following God’s Word, are true children not false, sinful children.

From such children, a true family, a true tribe, nation and world is created.

People in this world will live a heavenly way of life with God.  This is the only way that this earth becomes the Kingdom of Heaven on earth.

You should not think you are entitled to go to heaven. 

You should focus on building heaven on earth as Jesus came to do.

Also, you must become a heavenly person and become united with Heavenly Father to the point that Father’s heart is your heart.

You should be a representative of God’s heart, the Lord’s heart and the heart of your ancestors.  Through this, the historical problems will be solved.

If a person is on their death bed and they tell God, “God, even though I could not live according to Your will until this moment, I tried to go to heaven in my mind.  Please regard me as making the proper indemnity conditions!”

Since God is a fair God, He will reward the person according to his actions, placing him in a position of wanting to go to heaven.  That position can be just below paradise.

Even people in hell are trying to go to heaven.

You  alone are responsible for deciding the actions you commit while you are on earth. And make any recompense for any wrongdoings.

If this door is closed, no one else can open it again for eternity, only you can be responsible for it.
If the door is opened, no one except you can close it again.

If what is bound on earth is bound in heaven, then it should be released while you are on earth. What does this mean?  For instance, if you did a wrongful act and did not compensate or ask for forgiveness for it while on earth, then you will ever be bound to that sin when you go to spirit world.

You will be bound to it.

Therefore, when you go witnessing now, you should witness to your family members and relatives.

If you can claim that you love the billions of people on earth more than your own mother and father who gave birth to you, then you are able to love in an unified position within the realm of God’s love.
Then you will stand in a position not be related to the satanic world.

An original person is someone who is not related to Satan, establishes a family based on the love of the ideal couple and goes directly to heaven after his life on earth.  A world of families such as this would be called the Kingdom of Heaven on earth where people live the ideals of the heavenly kingdom.

Therefore, the fact that Peter was given the keys to the gates of heaven means that heaven is first to be established on earth.  Everyone should know this clearly.

People Serve Each Other in Heaven

If there is a member of the church whose children wear poorer clothes than their own children, you should not be able to sleep and want to give him clothes.

This is the heart of God, of a parent.

The leading thought of the Unification Church is to have the heart of a parent, wear the clothes of a servant, shed sweat for the earth, tears for humankind and blood for heaven.

Heaven is the world of love where you bring your children.  You receive love and give it out to the universe.

“I love God. I know everything right through from the spirit world to the physical world.”

The heavenly spirit world is mystery it is a place where people go who live according to the principles of existence that God established.

This means living for the sake of others. The ideal heaven is a world that is built based on such heaven.

What should you do in order to prosper?

You must be selfless.

We practice selflessness living for the sake of others. This is the dividing line between heaven and hell.

This is how spirit world is.

You know the dwelling place where people lived for others and for this reason you need to live for others and live the way of thinking of the saints, the teachings of the Savior, and God's way of thinking.

God thinking is to live absolutely for the sake of others.

Smaller things are invested for the greater good.

This is why the family should sacrifice itself for the sake of the tribe; the tribe sacrifice for the people; and the people for the nation; and the nation for the world;

Those who take national property and give it to their families will suffer in hell and will perish.  If they do not go to ruin while here on earth, they will hang upside down in spirit world.

Life on earth and heaven are opposites.

People on earth spend their whole lives centered and lived for their own purposes.

Spirit world is a place where people are supposed to live for the sake of the whole, therefore, by becoming people who can become an object partner to God can say ’amen’ for eternity.

Those who live on earth for their own sake cannot go to heaven. 

What is an evil person?

It is a person who unites everything through himself - not God.

Such a person may seem good by human standards, but is a dictator and a villain.  He goes directly to hell. This is not allowed in the Church.

“The individual must live for the family; the family for the tribe; the tribe for the people; the people for the nation; the nation for the world; the world for the universe; the universe for the cosmos; and the cosmos for
God. Then who does God live for? He lives for you.”

Religion must teach them to live for the sake of others.

The higher the level of the religion, the more strongly it places emphasis on living for  others.  Therefore, we must be meek and lift up many people and live for their sake.

Religion teaches to sacrifice and serve because it is training to conform to the rules of the Kingdom of Heaven.

Once people live on earth, they enter the spirit world.

A person who can go to other countries and live for the people in that country with a heart of a mother, and a heart of a saint to save the world from evil will go to a higher place.

“I think in that way. ‘I am one man, a general who represents sons of filial piety of the historical ages, a general of patriots and of saints.

“Although everyone else who had the name of God's son failed, I was born as a victorious son: There is only one thing that will enable you to say that. It is to live absolutely for others.”

It is simple: those who give and serve others and forget what they have given can digest the fallen world.
There is no one born who can avoid death.

After 80 to 100 years living on earth, people will die.  People who lived on for their own interests, when they go to spirit world they enter hell.  On the other hand, those who lived for others go to heaven.

These two worlds are separated at death.

There is a long line of people, the longest line in the world of people who give their property to heaven.

Therefore, everyone should become penniless and offer everything leaving only tears, mucus and blood to offer only.

“I was like that. There was nothing else left to offer. I offered all my life and property. If you have a savings bankbook for your sons and daughters, should you use that for them? Or should you use it for the salvation of the world?

“Only if you think in that way and act upon it can you participate in the ranks of the Messiah's chosen ones. You should live for others. Live for the whole and for the greater good. Live for the world, for God, and for the liberation of humankind.

"You have to motivate people to change to the new lineage through your efforts.”

In the future, there will be a competition to live for the sake of other people.  Why?  Because those who live for others go to the highest position in the Kingdom of Heaven.  Also, when you live for such a person, you can raise up by using them as your foothold.

Just like a launch pad, you will be launched and fly into the sky.

If you live for the sake of someone, you demonstrate the same motivation that God had in creating His partner in love. 

You stand in the position of loving counterpart to that person

For that reason, follow someone and live for others.

“You work following me, don't you? Aren't you trying to occupy God by leaping upwards to become the object of my love? Is it true, or not? Satellites should be launched towards a destination, shouldn't they? It is the same idea. Satellites are symbolic of today's believers trying to jump up towards the Kingdom of Heaven, crossing thousands and tens of thousands of miles.”

"In the spirit world, people live not just for themselves, but for the whole.  A person who lives for others 100 percent says, ‘Walk over me and go on.”

Even though America is big, if there is someone who lives more for the nation than he, everyone will welcome him even if he steps on the president to do so.  But if someone only lives for themselves, everyone becomes his enemy.

It is the same in the spirit world. If someone lives for a greater cause, he can pass along freely

To go beyond the family level, it is to follow the way of true love by living for other people.

If you are fifty years old and lived for the sake of the salvation of the universe and heaven’s principle for over twenty-five years, you can go to heaven.  You will live in the better part of the spirit world.

But the ones who lived their whole lives centered on their own ideas and own thinking go to the original homeland of evil called hell.

By knowing these facts, you can liquidate your own sinful, fallen past way of living for your own being.

If you make effort to live the rest of your life to live for the sake of others, nation, the world, heaven and earth and God, this follows the path to the ideal world of heaven.

Even when Jesus was about to die, he did not protest but told God as He willed even though Jesus asked for the cup to pass from him.  Jesus was ready without question to offer himself as a complete sacrifice for God’s will.
This attitude brought Jesus closest to God because it enabled him to go deeper.

The one who strikes such a person will be instantly destroyed.  God would personally inflict punishment upon that person.

The person who lives self-centered life can never occupy heaven - he will be in hell.  Even if he was a great minister he will find out how such a life leads to death when he gets to spirit world.

The Unification Church tries to save its enemies and even the communists, but the communists try to torture members.

So, what kind of love should have dominion over the world.  You should not become strong by becoming an evil person.  But, if we become strong based on love that lives for other people, it will be enough to save the world.

Heaven is where you live a life of giving. 

Even God has to give and parents give to their children.

A parent’s mind is such that they want to give and give again when you have something good.

“If I can give one thousand things and forget that I gave, in front of God who gives a hundred things and forgets, God will surely become my partner. Do you know this?”

If a person tries to live for goodness more than God would such a person go to hell or heaven?  He would be in the position to sit with God at the supper table and share meals of love with Him.

“I have experienced the reality of the spirit world more than anyone else.”

Heaven is our original homeland.  The spirit world is a major special field of study.

Do Not Treat People Lightly

We have reached a point in society where relationships have gone from neighbors being like family to having relationships with people only on an external bases.

You and I should not treat people lightly.


That is why until 1970, whenever someone who was hungry passed by the headquarters, I let them have a meal before they went on their way. It is our duty as human beings to give food to the hungry. Even when you are getting a meal for free, it would be right to share it with others.


If there was someone who had a bountiful supply of rice and struck a hungry person who was passing by and asked for something to eat, that household would not last long.

There were times when I saw a person who was so pitiable that I wanted to help by offering him everything I had. If you are generous with wanting to give and to help someone, God will praise you. It is good to be generous for the greater good rather than your own well-being, and for improving people's lives in the future, even though life is miserable at present.



Giving a lot of free food should not be the only thing you give.

You should also invest public-mindedness at the same time.

This kind of thinking will bring blessings. Who can dislike a person who gives free food and displays a public mind at the same time which can embrace everyone?

You should not ignore people.

Just like a worm that wiggles if you squeeze it, a person who dies with resentment and bitter feelings toward another, the person who is the cause of that resentment will not last long.

When you deal with people, you must do it in a satisfactory way. During this course of restoration, this path is not mandatory. It has to be exciting.

You must stay up all night without realizing how late it is while living in this way. This way you will discover the value of heaven only when you get to the point where you can say, "The place where I am right now is heaven on earth." Isn't this true? Even with trees, unless they are completely bonded, they don't engraft.

I try to warmly treat those who come, even if we were to starve. If they have reached a certain level of spirituality, say to the degree of one hundred, we will be struck and judged if we treat them any less. In those situations, you should treat such people two, three, five, even ten times greater than their level. You will not go to ruin by doing so.


God will be deeply impressed by a person who is able to live this way by saying, "This fellow is better than heaven!"

A dog chooses the best of houses to relieve himself. The owner will lose his blessing if he chases the dog away.

I am not saying we should not fight or argue. If both sides are going to benefit, then we should fight. We should not fight it one side would perish. We fight to educate and bring them to our side, not to make enemies.

Give with a parental heart, do not give centering on your own ambitions and wishes.

Since True Father has been doing this way, you must follow and do likewise. When you show love to people, do not be stingy.

Do not remember all that you have invested. Give even more. When you have something good to eat, you should wish to give it to someone even if you cannot eat it yourself.

A leader that hides out and eats alone is a leader who is going to decline immediately. Think about the members because you cannot eat it alone.

You should become this type of person.

Become leaders who nurture this type of parental heart. You should give to others, you should have no hesitation in giving out even half of your food.

If you give leftovers, people will feel disgusted and spit it out. If you are hesitant or picky in your giving, then people will judge you even after they are indebted to you.

Therefore, you should give together with God and with a parental heart.

Social relationships

Today, people live externally so much that we do not pay attention to each other enough. Regardless of age or sex, people are saying that dealing with people is annoying. If you view people as a nuisance, then you can never walk this heavenly path.

I believe that the life of religious people should be one where they become united with God, stand as the representatives of God's love before creation and this world, and expand and connect the horizontal relationships to the whole environment, based on a standard of love.


This original standard of love should be connected and established in your lives.

To do this, establish your relationships with other people with the heart of God.

You can view how people meet the same as all the balls colliding on the pool table. Isn't it similar to that?

Don't you feel drawn to people but then you are pushed away from them again. When you kick a soccer ball, don't you feel good if it goes up and down and changes direction in every way? This is the same in human relationships.

Our level of investment of how we use our five senses in love and life determine our value.

We ask ourselves when we look upon our life whether we have led a social life with great vitality and a heart of deepest love toward everyone we encounter. You should know that if you do not stand in this position, you are in a state of suspension or ready to retreat.

For God's providence to restore the world back to the original ideal, God needs more than Korea, but he needs all of the people of the world. Because of this, God is deeply concerned about people. This has been his goal throughout His providence.

As a group of people, we have gathered together for this task. We must stand in the position as God and have the same degree of concern and heart toward people as He has.

You should not be greedy when relating to others.

As people who strive for goodness and walk in the right direction, we shouldn't think that other people caught in the realm of evil has nothing to do with us.

We should have the determination to sacrifice for their sins, suffer for them pray for them throughout the night with tears.

Such a person who views his fallen brothers and sisters in this way will surely become their central figure.

A good person knows how to love children, young people and the elderly. If humans are in the position of stewards in relation to nature, people should love spring, summer, autumn and winter.

You should love and respect the elderly more than you do the young people. It is important to meet the youth, but you should show love especially to the elderly and have sympathy for those who cannot work and are weak and need care. We do not see this trend in society today.



When I look at youth today, I see that they avoid dealing with the elderly, but they should not do so. They should love the elderly and also the young. We should love people. We have to love people, and our yearning for them should be greater than that of anyone else's. We are gathered together centering on God's will rather than human will. Therefore, we will surely remain as the fruit of love throughout the entire world.


When you gaze at the forest of trees that cover a hill side, it is hard to distinguish a pine tree from another type of tree. However, when winter, and autumn come around, this is revealed.

When you see a green tree on the hillside during the winter, it brings hope within you.

This is symbolic of the new relationship that is established.

The first commandment is to love the Lord your God with all of your heart, mind and soul. The second commandment is to love your neighbor as you do yourself.

Your neighbor does not specifically refer to the people that live in your neighborhood, but neighbor means all the brothers and sisters of humankind.

Arrogance is your enemy.

Arrogance and stubbornness are characteristics of Satan.

Instead of being arrogant and stubborn it is best to be modest and harmonious. Today's television and reality shows promote the lifestyle of the satanic behaviors and glorifies them to be the standard to which we swhould strive.

You should be a person who creates harmony and friendship and harmonizes with everyone.

Everything begins to flow from there. Something great cannot arise if people or things do not unite.

This is what happens when there is no harmony.

Jealousy and envy are the other natures of Satan. But for us, arrogance and stubbornness are not traits that are forgiven by people.

Where Should We Go?

The whole universe opens up before those who follow their original mind.

There must be some action to bring this about.  When they can enter such a state, they will be able to speak with their mind and hold a conversation with their mind.

The answer will already be right in front of them when they think of doing something.  They are advancing toward such a state.  Such people should do definitely laid down before them.  All the forces in the universe would help them follow it.  Though such people are tested, everything will aid them.  Only then will they be able to do great things in life.

Those whose lives are under girded by great power are true people. 

People who are led in the direction they wish to take are true people who have a strong ancestral background of infinite power that propels them forward.

They would know in a second if the direction was wrong.

This movement is not a worthless church.  It has a deep and high background.

Once you are raised to such a level through your own efforts, then everything wll be taken care of from there forward.  You need to decide on the direction you should take.  this is something you alone must determine.  It is something that you would know best.

Would money solve all problems?  No. It would not.  There are times when you need money and other times when you will have to follow another path.

Hence, you need to decide your own path.

You need to seek the intrinsic qualities you were born with originally.  You should decide the future purpose that you will pursue.

Though God may point you in the right direction, it is up to you to follow it of your own accord.  God is not a dictator.

A magnet's influence is stronger than the gravitational pull of the earth.

What makes such an influence even possible?

The actual pull of the magnets is weaker than that of the gravitational force of the earth, but the two forces come together where the former surpasses the latter.

The same is true of our conscience.

This same principle is the same with our conscience.  Fromm the moment we are born, you already know the background against which you were born.

If you are unable to discern or pass judgement on such things, you will never be able to do great things.

We might look at nature and say we only prefer spring and don't like winter and fall and hate summer."  But if you were to ask God which season does he like, he will answer, "I love all four season."

Therefore, like our Father, we should learn to love summer, autumn an dwinter.  Even though you may have hated most of them at the start.

When winter snow comes, God look upon the world which is covered in a fleece of white and He drives pleasure from it.  Therefore, you should say, "Oh, I love it, too!"

That is the way it should be?

You should looka t nature with a mind similar to God's.

This should be your mindset.  When we witness streaks of lightning, we may say that we hate that.  "Oh, no.  That might come near us." But when God experiences them, he thinks, "Haha, they are kissing and making love!"

He scolds those who say they do not like lightning.  You should love people and you should love all five skin colors of equality.

Does God only like white people?  This is contradictory to God's characteristics.  When you enter their rooms, you will see all kinds of colors.

You will see pianos there.  They would have only blackboards.  They would only have white or black keys on the piano.

Nights are dark, so such people should not have them.  Why is everything centered on the white race?

White supremacy is the road to ruin.

How many more years or centuries do you think this reign will last?

Though the winter is long, it only last three months.

For the sake of eternity, you must love all the four seasons.  As such, you should not only love white people.

God's love encompasses all of His creation and humankind, not to mention people of the past, present, and future.  God heads a movement that liberates even those spirits in hell.  They must walk the path of truth, life and love.

No matter how great you are, we all must live for the sake of others.  If they do not, no one will follow them.  Those who do will naturally become leaders.  They become people of true life.  You yourselves should know which way you must go.  Once you have set a direction, you should invest all your energy into following it.

You should invest everything to such an extent that you would be too exhausted to even open your eyes or be sensitive to sounds around you.

If you have led a proper religious life in the Unification Church, you already know what you should do. 

On the other hand are the people who live life centered only on their own life and act for just their own interest.  They will not have any idea about such future inspirations.

When a storm comes, the rats aboard a ship sense it, and know that the ship is about to be destroyed.  Therefore, before it lifts anchor, they abandoned the ship by way of the ropes that lead to the harbor.

If common rats can sense danger, humans who are at the very top of the pack should surely sense it as well, too.

Ants know when a rainy season is about to set in.

They should know where they have to go.

I once witnessed a colony of ants moving to another place in single file; that showed they knew the onset of the rainy season. It is because you are given to daydreaming that you do not know. 



When you are unable to clearly know about or see your own field of mission, it is a serious problem.  You need to come to an understanding with God in regard to the serious problem in your life.

You also must be able to adapt to the environment on your own accord.  Who else can do it for you?    You are the only ones who can do it.  When you are able to have that self-assurance and confidence in a task you are ready to tackle, there is a place deep in your heart where the mind can rest and be at ease.  You are the only ones who can do it.

Your mind should settle in that place.  Once the mind has slept off some of the weariness, then it will become sensitive again.  When you can focus your mind without a trace of another thought in your head, you will be able to find out everything.  This is why you need meditation and pray.

Even I pray and offer devotions. You need to offer devotions always. They are not something you can offer just once and then put aside for some other time. You need to whet a knife all the time. If you used it and did not sharpen it, what would happen? In order to keep it sharp, you always need to whet it.


In the same manner of the sharpened knife, once you lose your temper, you need to sharpen your sense again.

You need to calm yourself and set your mind at ease.

When you reach the center of the realm of heart, you will find it in motion up and down. 

You are in motion automatically.

This realm inhales and exhales.  Did you know that even the earth breathes?  It inhales and exhales.  It regulates itself.  In this manner, the core of the realm of heart also moves up and down centering on its axis. It is in motion.

All beings have something that is elliptical about them.

Thus hen you enter the center of the mind or heart, you will feel a force that is eternally reverberating in it.  Hence, you need to cultivate your spiritual senses.  You need to devote yourself to experience the deep spirit world from all the aspects of life on earth.

You need to tap into the driving force that will be the fuel to push you throughout your lifetime.

Even I give serious thought to my work if it is so great that it requires a power greater than my innate power. When it is necessary to acquire a force greater than my own, where I can get that power from remains the problem. If I fail to acquire such a power, there is no choice but to retreat, but that is not an option. 


This is why we should pray and why we need God in those situations, who is the greatest power of all.

This is why we need the world of heart.

In this world of love, you will not experience any limits.  No matter how much you pull out from it.  the world of substance has an end point.  So does the world of knowledge.  The world of power can be destroyed in one second, but the world of heart is endless.  Hence, you need to act based on the world of heart.

Contrary to the non-religious, secular belief, God is not a dictator.  He invested one hundred percent of Himself for human beings.  he exists for their sake.  Hence, people have tried to follow His standard for tens of thousands of years.  In order to maintain a position in front of the universe, which follows the heavenly way of existing for the sake of others, you also need to think you exist to benefit others.

When you live for the sake of other, East and West, past and present can be connected.  There is a center and balance.

Siblings Unite Based on Parents' Love

In my childhood, I would often look at bird nests. Once I climbed a tree to look into a nest, and the mother bird started pecking at me. She was desperate and willing to die to protect her nest, and not only once.

When I brushed her aside, she flew away, and then came back. Seeing this, we cannot deny the powerful instinct of animals to transcend their own lives to protect their offspring. It is similar with human beings. You should be able to invest your li
fe for the sake of love. That is the way of a true person.

Truly good people are those who have established love as their root.

They try to protect their loved ones even at the cost of their own lives.

This is where goodness originates.  This is something that will never change.

Father Moon speaks about the magnificence of parenthood seen even in nature:

"When I was in Danbury prison, I witnessed an interesting thing. A slope was being bulldozed into a tennis court.  However, when the rainy season came, work had to stop for a few weeks until the weather cleared up.

During the delay, a water bird built a nest only three meters away from the path the inmates used for their exercise. 

The water bird was not easily noticeable as her colors allowed her to blend into the background.

Therefore, while she was guarding her eggs, no one realized she was there, even through they repeatedly walked right by her.

When the water bird curled up, she looked just like a round black stone from the side, but when her eggs hatched and the baby birds started feeding, they were pretty noisy and gave away their location.

Several of the inmates tried to mess around with the water bird, but she proved very capable of protecting her young. 

When she returned with food, she never landed close to her nest, but chose different locations, then slowly crept over to her chicks.

Every day she approached from a different direction in order to protect her young. This is how she protected them. 

As her chicks grew larger, she would make lots of noise and peck any inmates who came too close. She was clearly warning them to stay away."



Who could have taught the water bird to be like this?  It is the power of the universe.

All things in creation are on a level plane centering on God's love as the axis.   Even though each may hold different positions on that plane, their level of love and care is the same.

Even a honey bee cannot be separated from the taste of nectar from a flower.  It will not let go, even if its abdomen is torn off.  True Love is like this.

True love is not based on gain that can be calculated.   You can cast away your life for it.  Being able to forsake and disregard one own's life is the path of true love.  Parents walk this path.

Parental heart willingly goes the way of death for the sake of love. 

When we look at the case of parents, if their children are in mortal danger, parents will willingly die in place of their child.  This is true love.

Imagine a man that can boasts about all the accomplishments he has throughout the world.  He is extremely wealthy through his own hard work, sweat and tears.

But if his child is suddenly faced with a life-and-death situation or he is told his child has terminal cancer, none of those things will matter anymore.

He would sacrifice his own life and all of his wealth and possessions to save his child's life.

Parental Love Is Eternal

Since parental love is so sacrificial, do you think there is a limit to the parents' love for their children?

Parents not only love their children during childhood, but their love will continue through the child's entire life and even into eternity.

If the parent and child are able to establish a relationship that brings increasing worth and value, then infinite stimulation, then something new will arise within that relationship.

The parent-child relationship is the greatest gift God gave to us.

The love of a mother or father is one of the greatest forms of love in the human world. 

Even people who are in the highest positions in society are vulnerable to the needs of their children.

Parental love is the mother of all kinds of love.

Love toward children is unconditional and unlimited.  Therefore, those who grow up without receiving parental love thirst for it most of all.

Even though an orphan may have a house to sleep in and food to eat, they will always lack and long for something in their heart.

They long for the love of a parent.  Most of you were raised by loving parents.

Whether the children are young or old, their parents always love them.

Even when their children are seventy years old, they will still look at him the way they used to when they raised him long before; this is the parental heart.

As the children grow, the parents' heart continues to draw even closer.

The sense of responsibility toward their children increases.  The heart to live for the sake of the children deepens even further.

You can see this when we see how parents relate to their children in society.

Parents go through many difficulties for the sake of their children, but do not feel the hardship. 

This is because they love their children. After giving their flesh and blood to their children, do parents keep a record?

No.  They are rather pained at not being able to give their children even more.  The same is for mothers, correct?

When women breastfeed your babies, if they are unable to feed well you feel worried.

Isn't it true as you raise your children that they take away your flesh and blood?  In a sense, aren't children the greatest of all thieves?

Yet, mothers still feel anxious when their babies do not feed properly .

Why is it that parents love their children so much?

It is because this is the law of love.

A mother's touch when her baby is feeding at her breast is centered on love.  Also, when she holds her baby, the mother experiences a beautiful calm atmosphere.

This is because heaven and earth entered a state of peace.

This is why no matter how much trouble babies can be, mothers still have room in their hearts to accept and even encourage such behavior.

In one sense, we can think of a baby while he is getting his proper nourishment sucks out his mother's flesh and blood.

Yet, there is no loving mother who would stop giving her children in this sense.  There is no limit to the love parents feel for their children.  

Through raising a baby, this allows multitudes of chances of discovery of new things.  For instance, a baby stimulates new hope for the mother and father.  At such times, there are also new realizations.  This bond is unchangeable.

Parental Love Sets the Standard for All Forms of Love

Parental love is the highest.

Those who were blessed to have been raised with true parental love become well-rounded people and understand the full dynamics of love.  Children will never forget their parents' love.

Therefore, the family is the school of love.  Therefore the full experience of parental love is impossible without parents.

We speak about the depth of parental love, but what should the love among children be like?

What should be used as the standard for loving?  Brothers and sisters should love each other just as their father and mother do.

We should learn about about brotherly and sisterly love from our parents.

They should be able to say to their parents, "Our mother and father are the greatest in the whole world.  They stand in the position of God."

When children witness their parents' unchanging hearts and see the love shared between their parents, they say, "Let us learn from this love and become united among ourselves as well."  This is an ideal family taking root.

When children grow up into adulthood, they will soon search for a partner with whom their mind and heart can be one.

This is only realized through marriage: when a man and woman thus totally respect each other and strive to establish the standard of love and heart.

You should have a family in which the mother and father can unite with God's heart and love.  Then the children take after their loving parents and also unite with God's heart and love.

This is the order of tradition of love: the elder brother, as a representative of the parents sacrifices himself and loves his younger siblings centering on the parents' love.  The position of elder brother brings with it the responsibility to suffer most among his siblings.

This is the same with the parents' position, who also suffer the most for the sake of the children.  If parents shed tears and sacrifice for the sake of their children, the children will naturally want to follow their parents.

When parents and children relate based on God as the center, then the children will express love to each other in many different ways.

The older child should love the younger sibling int he same way that the parents love him.

In a family that is united through such a love, the love within that family will continuously blossom.  Then it will become the love within a society and within a nation.

In this way the world becomes the world of love.

Why do you receive love from your parents?

It is because the father and mother's original motivation to rely on each other and love each other originates in you their child.

Therefore, when brothers and sisters love each other centering on that initial motivation, their love also will not change.

Similarly, when you think of your neighbor as if he was your own self, the right social environment will develop.

We must understand that the family is at the formation stage, society is at the growth stage and the nation is the completion stage.  You must go through each of these three stages.

All families then should be linked together.

Only then will love develop among the society and unity will be realized on the national level.  All of this stems from the love of a family.

Society is divided into many sectors.  Even though the company has one CEO at the head, how many heads of states does a country have?  It is just one, right?

One person is responsible.  In this way, there is a unified pattern that is established while the scale increases.  Becoming one, but also being divided into many parts is the essence of the four-position relationships within a family. (siblings, parents, spouse, centered on God)

Love Language

There are many members recently married who do not speak the same language as their fiancee speak.  They thus need an interpreter.  Would they communicate with sign language or with the love language?

What if you were to marry someone who could not speak at all?  When one marries a person who cannot communicate, it is like marrying a dumb person, and in a way, that person is far away from you.

Everything starts with language and communication.

Once two people are able to communicate, then they can understand each other's personality, character, culture, background and everything.  If you do not have these things, you have nothing.

What kind of movement is filled with members who are married to someone they cannot communicate with?

Insignificant, "unknown" people have the dream of some day marrying a man or a woman that is like their favorite movie star. This is human nature and a natural desire.

Your destiny is to live with one man or woman who will serve and love you for your entire life.  You will be closer to that person more than anybody else around you.  You two will be closer than parents, closer than your own brothers and sisters, and closer than any of your own friends.

Who made it this way that the spouse is the closest to one another?

God alone has the power to bring two people together who don't even speak the same language.

They are able to accept this challenge because they have an infinite faith in God and in the Messiah as the instruments of God.

You also play a vital role as the instruments of God.

The catalyst to bring different men and women from different backgrounds together for eternity is certainly the power of God.

You rejoice at the time of your engagement, not because your fiancee is the best person under the sun, but because God is the best personality in heaven and earth.

If God was moved out of such an event, then we do not have anything.  We would not be able to go forward in such matters.

In this movement, we match members with different backgrounds, who are from different cultures and countries because it is a totally unselfish deed done only for God's sake.

Through international marriages and marriages consuming of former enemy nations, step by step, we are bringing about a world of peace.

Through having a foreign fiancee, you are closely uniting to the Messiah working for this goal and you will be remembered by God.

As soon as one's fiancee disappears, God will disappear therefore, this union is a God-given destiny that you are bound by.

Maybe you work hard everyday to make money.  Would you rather work alone, or would you even like to have a stranger as your companion?   Even if you have a lot of wealth and you are famous, when you are left in that situation, you would want to have a companion.

While the two of you are working, your companion will be the closest to you.  When it is time for lunch, you would want to sit with him or her and eat together.  It does not matter whether that person is good-looking or very poor-looking.

We are like this work site.

We each want to have someone to sit down together with.

A member may be matched to someone who is from a country that was once an enemy nation, but this person is now the only companion you can rely upon.

Because our work is so different and unique, we need unique kinds of companions.  Of all the job descriptions in the world, we have the most difficult.  The work of restoration and witnessing to God's will is so difficult that it is much better to start in an adverse situation.

Instead of one American meeting another, you start out with strangers from other nations, languages and backgrounds.

This is the course of world restoration.

It is already hard for two people who do not have anything in common to unite, but while you are doing so, you can also overcome the difficult task ahead of you.  We are the first to accomplish this task around the world.  This is our pride.

This kind of adversity is nothing.  When you encounter a few bumps and bruises, they do not hurt because you know you can overcome them.  If in your lifetime you are able to bring together two extremes, there is nothing you cannot do.

Which would be the most dramatic couple: two Americans, two Japanese, two Europeans, or two people who do not even speak the same language?

There may be a couple who grew up together and has been dating and getting along since high school and they think that they are the perfect couple because they are now married and understand each other completely.

Then there is the other couple that when they met, they were not able to greet each other because they came from different countries and they started on an impossible level but have reached a level of unity.  Which couple would be the winner?

This is the most dramatic, historical beginning.

If you are able to become people who are able to meet God's expectations, there is nothing under the sun that you cannot do.  How do you think God feels when He sees such a couple?  Would such couples catch God's attention most?

What kind of gift does God give?  Cood children.

If a couple with infinite faith thankfully accept God's challenge and destiny, they will have a great gift coming in the form of children.  Children will be given to that couple that are far superior than any other children within their own society or nation.

What are the characteristics of good children?

Good children are able to bring good fortune to a family, blessings from heaven and good happenings to that home.  When one is matched to a person who is from another country and possibly an enemy nation, they can say that they are God's champion.  God would be sympathetic and concerned with such a couple.

Are you able to see God now?  What about air or your mind?  How do you know that these exists?

A man's mind wants to make a home within the women's minds, and women's minds want to dwell in men's minds.  Why are these two drawn to each other and want to exchange where they dwell?  This is because there is another reality which is love.

Love has the ability to bring two minds together, because of that love a man's mind wants to be able to dwell with a woman's mind and vice versa.

Do you miss your home town?

Even if you were born in a poorly log cabin, would you miss that cabin?  Even if your parents were rural people and your brothers and sisters dressed poorly, you would still want to go back there and visit wouldn't you?

You have an indestructible line of heart and emotion connected to your home.

Your home is the birthplace of your heart.

Americans like to visit nostalgic places and historical places and listen to folk songs from the past.  Those things makes one feel wonderful.

It is human nature to want to think and write about your childhood and your home town.

When this speech was given in 1980s, the American hostages were just coming home from Iran.  The American's excitement at this announcement was different from the foreign sympathy or excitement from Germany, France or Britain.  This is because the Americans have a connection of heart to those hostages.

This is the same reason you have an attachment to your home town, parents and particularly to one focal point: your spouse.  If you are able to possess this level and essence of love, then everything wants to connect to it.

Where there is love, nothing is impossible. 

God, who is a person without any impossibility, certainly wants to dwell within that love.  When men and women unite in love, they find there is a greater love and they want to go there together.

How would you be able to move toward this greater love?

Would you like the fastest form of transportation, or would you like to travel slowly in a carriage to get there?  Of course you would want to go in the fastest possible way toward this higher-level of love.  The jet plane of love would be the fastest way.

You may say that you would like to land in the heart of God.  Would you need permission to land there?  Airplanes need permission from ground control to guide them to the landing strip.  There is the correct way to land on the landing strip of love.

What kind of welcoming party will there be waiting for you?  When you are on the correct landing strip, there will be a welcoming party of people from many thousands of years of history.  Abraham and Noah will be there.

They will not be strangers, they will come right up to you.  What kind of power could make this happen.  Again, only through the power of love.

In love there is no distance of time, even if there is a difference of thousands of years.

In love, time and space are completely disregarded.

You think Germans and French are far apart, but when you are united as a blessed couple and come in for a landing in your love jet and see people from many thousands of years who have come to greet you, then you know that the distance between the French and Germans is nothing.

Even if one of those people is 6,000 years old, there is no foreign feeling between you. You can instantly become one and understand him completely.

Love is really a strange thing.

Even if you are from different nations, when you come together in a marriage relationship, you don't feel bad at all. One thing is for sure: You are marrying a person of the opposite sex and no explanation is needed!

You want to touch him or her tenderly and there is no distance.

The power of love can unite strangers. The power of love can shorten the distance of time.

How old do you think God is?

God is really an old gentleman. I say He's millions and millions of years old. I'm sure His beard has grown all the way down to His feet, and if God keeps growing taller, there's no telling how tall He will be. But still you don't have a strange feeling toward Him. What power can do that?

How can you instantly become friends with someone from one million years or ten thousand years ago? By law or knowledge?

Nothing else but love.

God wants to dwell where there is love. What is true love?

There are incredible things going on in the Unification Church. Many of you are white people with blonde hair and blue eyes, but instead of loving only members of your own race, you love and follow a man from the Orient, Reverend Moon. What power makes you want to stick with me?

There is a power of love here that has never existed before. There is something bringing the East and West together.

Does God want to dwell only where white people come together, or where Oriental people come together? Instead, God wants to dwell here, where the East and West meet and all colors of skin come and rejoice together.


I am a yellow man from the Orient. You are white, brown, black and red, but it doesn't make any difference.  We want to come together to be happy and joyful. That means you have a different kind of love that ordinary Westerners do not have. 


God is pulled by the power of love, and is attracted to the place where the power of love is higher and nobler. Where will God find a landing strip? Absolutely, the Unification Church is God's landing strip because a higher love is attracting Him here.

In America, there is still racial tension between white and black. When white and black people start loving and trusting each other, don't you think that will make a landing strip for God?

It's amazing, but here in Unification Church whites want to marry blacks, and blacks want to marry whites and make an eternal life together.

Have you ever thought about whether white wood or black wood can burn faster?

It's scientific truth that black absorbs light, while white reflects light. When speaking of the fire of love, would it be more strongly attracted to white men or to black men?

God gave a fair chance to everybody regarding love.

 If for some reason a couple is being persecuted by their village, that harassment will actually drive them closer together.

The power of their love would be most intense under those circumstances. In that couple there is a fire of love burning more brightly than in any other couple.

Reverend Moon speaks about his family's persecution as he and his wife worked to spread the words of the Divine Principle even in communist North Korea:


"That is very true with Mother and me. You know I have been persecuted by America.  At home I will say to Mother, 'You are my ally. You understand me. Mother will say, 'Father, you are my hero, no matter what the people say.' Although she is only one individual, with Mother's words I am comforted. There is nothing that compares to the way Mother supports me. 'Besides,' Mother will say, 'It's nice in a way that the rest of the world is persecuting you, because it drives you home faster!'

Mother and I can really enjoy persecution. Our children understand us, and the cohesive harmony in our home is very strong.

The children have a strong conviction that, no matter what the world says about their parents, they are the most wonderful champions of God.

Sometimes they feel they cannot suppress their anger at the world, but in the meantime, they feel intense love toward their parents. There's nothing bad about getting persecuted.

When you look at world affairs from the standpoint of love, there is nothing you cannot be grateful for. Because I have been persecuted so much, God blessed my family more and more.

The evidence of this is that over the years the children who are born to us are even more brilliant and more outstanding. When I look at them I thank God.

When God has big gifts to hand out, you must make your shopping bags bigger so He can give the biggest gift to you. What are those gifts? God wants to give many gifts to Mother and me, so we will have more and more children.

God wants to give us more than forty children, but since the human body has certain limitations, God will condense the gift into a few most brilliant children.

This is why we do not condone birth control. God wants to give blessings, but if all of a sudden you stop having children then you are blocking God's way of giving you blessings.

If we did that, when we got to spirit world God would say, 'My son and daughter, I had more gifts to give you while you were on earth, but you blocked the way. Why did you do that?'

Probably Westerners can't understand this. Many Americans think they don't want to have children because they want to have fun in their lives. That way of thinking is very selfish. Which way of thinking do you think will prosper?

Westerners have always been proud that they are ahead of everybody, but now auto makers have to turn to the East to learn techniques. When you compare a Western made television and a Sony, the Japanese set has more brilliant color. Many consumers are buying Japanese products. Do you think it is because Americans want the Japanese to have superior technology? God is shifting the emphasis from one place to another.

The day of the Asians is coming, and now they shall be understood and respected by the world. But Asian people have serious shortcomings. They are too nationalistic and they always cling together with their own people. That's not God's way. This is why I had to come out of Asia to shatter the barrier of nationalism.

I come to promote universalism, or Godism, and the love race. What I am doing in the West is something that neither Western nor Eastern culture can produce. No existing culture can bring a heightened unity between East and West. Am I doing this with some technology? Some Machiavellian diplomacy? I am doing it with a special kind of love." SMM



God is a universal person who really enjoys love. He wants to dwell in love, to work in love, to dance and sing in love. God is a fighting God too, but only in order to secure love for Himself and for everyone. We understand God and know His traits and what He likes.

Where can true love dwell?

There has to be a principled way, a way of law and order. Love dwells where principle dictates.

What is the principle of love between men and women? When you meet in love do you want to beat around the bush and go round and round, or do you want to meet face to face?

Do you want that person to have all kinds of stains, or to be a pure person? Do you want that person to bring lots of friends, or to come by himself?

Does the eye like love? How about the nose? The ears? Mouth? Hands?

Everything thinks about the goal of love. Do you want to go straight to love, or wander around? When you come into love, there is total concentration, total focus. The mouth, ears, hands and mind all focus on one sharp point and go through the center. That is the force of love.

If love is concentrated into one dot and that dot moves around, any miracle under the sun can happen wherever it touches. When the love dot is visiting homes, do you think people will say, "Don't come into my home"?

Or will they open the door and give love the red carpet treatment? Do you think the cells of your body will open or close up to love?

Basically the Oriental woman is shy, yet when love comes in, she opens herself up. The total concentration of genuine, pure love has never blossomed yet in history, but when that concentration of love is created and the blossoming flowers open, that is the most joyful event.
