Siblings Unite Based on Parents' Love

In my childhood, I would often look at bird nests. Once I climbed a tree to look into a nest, and the mother bird started pecking at me. She was desperate and willing to die to protect her nest, and not only once.

When I brushed her aside, she flew away, and then came back. Seeing this, we cannot deny the powerful instinct of animals to transcend their own lives to protect their offspring. It is similar with human beings. You should be able to invest your li
fe for the sake of love. That is the way of a true person.

Truly good people are those who have established love as their root.

They try to protect their loved ones even at the cost of their own lives.

This is where goodness originates.  This is something that will never change.

Father Moon speaks about the magnificence of parenthood seen even in nature:

"When I was in Danbury prison, I witnessed an interesting thing. A slope was being bulldozed into a tennis court.  However, when the rainy season came, work had to stop for a few weeks until the weather cleared up.

During the delay, a water bird built a nest only three meters away from the path the inmates used for their exercise. 

The water bird was not easily noticeable as her colors allowed her to blend into the background.

Therefore, while she was guarding her eggs, no one realized she was there, even through they repeatedly walked right by her.

When the water bird curled up, she looked just like a round black stone from the side, but when her eggs hatched and the baby birds started feeding, they were pretty noisy and gave away their location.

Several of the inmates tried to mess around with the water bird, but she proved very capable of protecting her young. 

When she returned with food, she never landed close to her nest, but chose different locations, then slowly crept over to her chicks.

Every day she approached from a different direction in order to protect her young. This is how she protected them. 

As her chicks grew larger, she would make lots of noise and peck any inmates who came too close. She was clearly warning them to stay away."



Who could have taught the water bird to be like this?  It is the power of the universe.

All things in creation are on a level plane centering on God's love as the axis.   Even though each may hold different positions on that plane, their level of love and care is the same.

Even a honey bee cannot be separated from the taste of nectar from a flower.  It will not let go, even if its abdomen is torn off.  True Love is like this.

True love is not based on gain that can be calculated.   You can cast away your life for it.  Being able to forsake and disregard one own's life is the path of true love.  Parents walk this path.

Parental heart willingly goes the way of death for the sake of love. 

When we look at the case of parents, if their children are in mortal danger, parents will willingly die in place of their child.  This is true love.

Imagine a man that can boasts about all the accomplishments he has throughout the world.  He is extremely wealthy through his own hard work, sweat and tears.

But if his child is suddenly faced with a life-and-death situation or he is told his child has terminal cancer, none of those things will matter anymore.

He would sacrifice his own life and all of his wealth and possessions to save his child's life.

Parental Love Is Eternal

Since parental love is so sacrificial, do you think there is a limit to the parents' love for their children?

Parents not only love their children during childhood, but their love will continue through the child's entire life and even into eternity.

If the parent and child are able to establish a relationship that brings increasing worth and value, then infinite stimulation, then something new will arise within that relationship.

The parent-child relationship is the greatest gift God gave to us.

The love of a mother or father is one of the greatest forms of love in the human world. 

Even people who are in the highest positions in society are vulnerable to the needs of their children.

Parental love is the mother of all kinds of love.

Love toward children is unconditional and unlimited.  Therefore, those who grow up without receiving parental love thirst for it most of all.

Even though an orphan may have a house to sleep in and food to eat, they will always lack and long for something in their heart.

They long for the love of a parent.  Most of you were raised by loving parents.

Whether the children are young or old, their parents always love them.

Even when their children are seventy years old, they will still look at him the way they used to when they raised him long before; this is the parental heart.

As the children grow, the parents' heart continues to draw even closer.

The sense of responsibility toward their children increases.  The heart to live for the sake of the children deepens even further.

You can see this when we see how parents relate to their children in society.

Parents go through many difficulties for the sake of their children, but do not feel the hardship. 

This is because they love their children. After giving their flesh and blood to their children, do parents keep a record?

No.  They are rather pained at not being able to give their children even more.  The same is for mothers, correct?

When women breastfeed your babies, if they are unable to feed well you feel worried.

Isn't it true as you raise your children that they take away your flesh and blood?  In a sense, aren't children the greatest of all thieves?

Yet, mothers still feel anxious when their babies do not feed properly .

Why is it that parents love their children so much?

It is because this is the law of love.

A mother's touch when her baby is feeding at her breast is centered on love.  Also, when she holds her baby, the mother experiences a beautiful calm atmosphere.

This is because heaven and earth entered a state of peace.

This is why no matter how much trouble babies can be, mothers still have room in their hearts to accept and even encourage such behavior.

In one sense, we can think of a baby while he is getting his proper nourishment sucks out his mother's flesh and blood.

Yet, there is no loving mother who would stop giving her children in this sense.  There is no limit to the love parents feel for their children.  

Through raising a baby, this allows multitudes of chances of discovery of new things.  For instance, a baby stimulates new hope for the mother and father.  At such times, there are also new realizations.  This bond is unchangeable.

Parental Love Sets the Standard for All Forms of Love

Parental love is the highest.

Those who were blessed to have been raised with true parental love become well-rounded people and understand the full dynamics of love.  Children will never forget their parents' love.

Therefore, the family is the school of love.  Therefore the full experience of parental love is impossible without parents.

We speak about the depth of parental love, but what should the love among children be like?

What should be used as the standard for loving?  Brothers and sisters should love each other just as their father and mother do.

We should learn about about brotherly and sisterly love from our parents.

They should be able to say to their parents, "Our mother and father are the greatest in the whole world.  They stand in the position of God."

When children witness their parents' unchanging hearts and see the love shared between their parents, they say, "Let us learn from this love and become united among ourselves as well."  This is an ideal family taking root.

When children grow up into adulthood, they will soon search for a partner with whom their mind and heart can be one.

This is only realized through marriage: when a man and woman thus totally respect each other and strive to establish the standard of love and heart.

You should have a family in which the mother and father can unite with God's heart and love.  Then the children take after their loving parents and also unite with God's heart and love.

This is the order of tradition of love: the elder brother, as a representative of the parents sacrifices himself and loves his younger siblings centering on the parents' love.  The position of elder brother brings with it the responsibility to suffer most among his siblings.

This is the same with the parents' position, who also suffer the most for the sake of the children.  If parents shed tears and sacrifice for the sake of their children, the children will naturally want to follow their parents.

When parents and children relate based on God as the center, then the children will express love to each other in many different ways.

The older child should love the younger sibling int he same way that the parents love him.

In a family that is united through such a love, the love within that family will continuously blossom.  Then it will become the love within a society and within a nation.

In this way the world becomes the world of love.

Why do you receive love from your parents?

It is because the father and mother's original motivation to rely on each other and love each other originates in you their child.

Therefore, when brothers and sisters love each other centering on that initial motivation, their love also will not change.

Similarly, when you think of your neighbor as if he was your own self, the right social environment will develop.

We must understand that the family is at the formation stage, society is at the growth stage and the nation is the completion stage.  You must go through each of these three stages.

All families then should be linked together.

Only then will love develop among the society and unity will be realized on the national level.  All of this stems from the love of a family.

Society is divided into many sectors.  Even though the company has one CEO at the head, how many heads of states does a country have?  It is just one, right?

One person is responsible.  In this way, there is a unified pattern that is established while the scale increases.  Becoming one, but also being divided into many parts is the essence of the four-position relationships within a family. (siblings, parents, spouse, centered on God)

We Come From One Root

"The root of the individual, the root of the family, the root of the clan, and the root of the nation are all the same. What this means is that if you look from the world's viewpoint, and you trace the root up or down, we all come back to the same root." 

This is true for the nation, the clan, the family, and even the individual. 


All countries eventually can trace back to one root.  The root is all the same.  Through this one root, all families, nations and even the world must be connected.  Since there is only one root for all, then we have only one trunk and a unity of branches.  There aren't different trunks or different roots.

When we accomplish this connection and unity in deed, the world will come into unity. 

If we were to ask people of different nations where their root lies, they would give many different answers.  Their answers may only be local.  For example, if you ask an American this question, they would say, "My root is Washington".  This does not apply to the whole world.

Does God think that the root of mankind is Washington?

Japanese people would say they trace their root to the goddess Amaterasu Omino Kami.    But now we know that everyone can be traced to the same root.

There is only one root, but humanity has not been able to see the root of it all.  Since no one can identify the true root, the Messiah returns to identify where the false root of division began.  Also to reveal what we think our roots are and then present the true root.



The Root is True Love

What is the completion of the ideal of creation?

The Messiah clearly defines God's will in simple terms.  God's will is to accomplish the ideal of creation.  Period.  Simple isn't it?  God is an absolute God.

Since He is absolute, does he have two different ideas or just one?  Absolutely one ideal.  Even if peace seems impossible to humanity, God has never wavered away from His dream of accomplishing Heaven on Earth.  This is the logical conclusion.

When we complete the four-position foundation (parents' love, siblings' love, childrens' love, each centered on God's love) then the completion of the ideal of true love is accomplished.  Everything important is there.



Creating True Love

The amazing fact is that the Family Federation has achieved these.

All of the thinking, teaching and action of the Unification Church is founded on these consistent lines: True Love, the four-position foundation and the ideal of creation.

The ideal of creation is to create the four-position foundation(sibling, parent, conjugal and God's love).  Then we must understand deeply the descriptions of all relationships of creation and the importance of the main ideas.

Even though it begins from a concept, it is reality. If you open up your spiritual eyes, you can go ask a big tree, "What is your purpose in life?

To accomplish this idea, first, we perfect heaven on earth and through this, heaven in spirit world will automatically appear.  Currently, there is only Paradise in which Jesus spoke.

We cannot enter heaven alone without our family.

As we discussed before, what wife would enjoy heaven while her husband spent eternity in hell?  When we catch a hold of God's True Love, then wherever we go and what we do will be connected to God.  This is reality and not just a concept.

What about a big rock, and belongs to the mineral kingdom? If you were to ask why does it exist, it  would answer you, "I exist for the sake of love."

Why did you come into existence or why do you breathe?

You exist for the sake of love.  Even a large rock that belongs to the mineral kingdom and doesn't seem to have much value would answer and say, "I exist for the sake of love".  Even the atomic kingdom, electrons and neutrons would answer the same way.  There is no way to deny it.  This is the reason all things were created in pairs: it is for love.

Love is the Beginning

Because of True Love and starting from True Love, the whole world came into being.  True love was the beginning of the concept of the universe.

We can even extend this and say that God came into existence for the purpose of love.  If love did not come into existence, then God, too wouldn't have a reason to exist.  Before thinking of the universe, we can think of True Love.

Before we can understand the deep meaning of True Love, we can see the concept of the male and female or the subject and object concept conveyed in all of creation, even at the subatomic level.  Everything in existence has that dual characteristic.  Take time to think of one exception, but you will find none.

Scientists maintain that the universe is held together by a force or a power, but they stop there.  They do not bring into account the logical steps that force only comes about because there was first an action that brought it about.

Without action, there is no force.

Which is first:  force takes place because of action or action takes place because of force?

Which one is first?


Reverend Sun Myung Moon gives an example to answer this question:

"When a man grows up, real love power does not act upon him. He has no involvement in love action. He grows up by the energy of man. With that he grows, but love is yet to come. His mind and body have to take action and then he grows, becoming older and older.

When he meets his spouse, a tremendous power takes place. Before that, there is action, but even before the action something else must exist first. That is subject and object relationship. In a man, he gets power when his mind and body come into unity.

He has two eyes instead of one, and two nostrils; everything comes in two. We see that subject and object relationship is everywhere and it exists for the sake of love.

We see development in this order: love between subject and object, then love action gives rise to the force. That is the order."SMM



Love Creates Joy

As soon as a husband and wife who exhibit True Love and their eyes meet, they are attracted to one another and nothing can stop them.  When all of the five senses meet each other, nothing will stop them.  Embodied with this love power, the couple can go through fire, water, anywhere.  That is the power of True Love.

This cannot be exchanged or converted into any value of money.  Even if the woman has millions and billions of dollars and is the wealthiest woman on earth, once she is captured in love then all things don't matter anymore.  God will be filled with joy and laughter at the sight of such a scene.  This is how we feel, too.

God invests His whole being and forgets, then He invests again and forgets all too willingly and happily because of love.  Without this kind of heart of not looking to receive, He would not be able to continue to do so.

For the man of love, the more he adds to this pool of love, the happier he becomes until later he can fly.  He will cruise the universe like the world of stars.  If you embrace a star while enraptured in love, it will start to dance and God will dance, also.  This is the power of love.



Do we Value Love?

How much do we value this love of God?

Imagine a kid that is in grammar school -  a boy or girl who receives a large chunk of a diamond but they do not know that it is a diamond or know its worth.  How will they treat this diamond?  This is the problem we see in the world situation today.

On the other hand, one who works hard and experiences the pain of dying to obtain this object, then you readily learn and understand the value of that diamond.  The only way that we can understand this is through suffering and sacrifice.  Nobody likes this, just as no student likes the act of studying to get the top grades.



Love Creates Peace

Love has the power to purchase, sell or unite a nation.  It is that powerful.  You have heard of the political marriages they used to perform centuries ago.  Two countries united in exchanged marriages between royalty of either country.  King Edward forsook the throne for a marriage to Wallace Simpson.

People get excited and laugh at the jokes and commentary of entertainers whenever they speak about the topic of love.  Other topics do not capture laughter from the bottom of the audiences hearts as much as the topic of love.

"No other church ever talks about love so much as the topic of this sermon."

It becomes a very legitimate statement that anyone or any minister whose sermon centers on love and makes everybody elated, happy and laughing, would become the source of peace and happiness.

When a teaching focuses it center on love, it can be the source of peace.  Peace will come from that.  Politicians, philosophers, economists and people from all different walks of life would come together for the topic of love because it is the root of their lives.



'Love Me' is False Love

We hear all talks about love and different kinds of love, but have we heard about love for the sake of other people?

People say, "Love me.".  This kind of person wants to draw love from other people.  There are even books and advice columns on how to attract love from others.  This is not the kind of love we have been talking about.

We are only talking about how to give love, that is what makes it different.

All these divided things now move toward being united because of this teaching and the knowledge of how to love for the sake of others.

From True Love, new hope, a new idea, and a new starting point have appeared.

Love was destroyed and divided.  The history of humankind has turned into a history of self-centered love away from God's original ideal.  How can we realize a peaceful world when all the broken situations are surrounding us.  We can only go this path through True Love that has the power to mend the past.

God's viewpoint of True Love is that the root comes from True Parents (restored fallen parents Adam and Eve).  Now that we have entered the age of True Parents or Enlightenment, brothers and sisters are being taught a new kind of love in which we live for the sake of others.




Free Sex and Drugs

Man needs to constantly be satisfied.

He has a spiritual antenna that communicates with the high level of the spirit world.  Man cannot live without the love, emotion and enlightenment that this antenna picks up.

Now all communication has been cut off from the spirit world and man does not know where to get that fulfillment.  So, what do they do instead?

They do drugs, drink alcohol and indulge in risky behavior to maintain an equivalent high to excite the body.

We as the human race have lost our emotional attachment to True Love on the vertical plane(spiritual) and can only find it through the horizontal way(physical) to compensate for this lack of communication with spirit.  Every family and nation have been touched by this tragedy.

It is called free sex.  Teens and even adults find out too late that when they indulge in sex without any connection to God and outside of a God-defined marriage that it never fully satisfies them as they had expected.

Sometimes leaving a bigger hole in which they were trying to fill in the beginning.  Then they turn to drugs to try to forget about this pain.  But everyone knows that the drug world is also a bottomless pit that will never fulfill our human desire for God's love.
         



The Universe Protects Love

What Father is pointing out is that everything that comes into power, everything that is subject and object in the pair system, is protected by the universe.

If there is an imbalance, the universe eliminates it.

Man and woman are a pair.  They become a pair at the universal level embracing point.  The nation's center it the president or the king as a plus and the people are a minus.

They combine into one and then they attend the world which is the next level up.  Then as a whole, they embrace the larger heavenly fate or destiny.

Americans should change their direction from the individualistic way toward this true standard way of living.  If the presidential administration and the American people do not change, the heavenly fate will chase them out.  No matter how rich or how strong America is, they will immediately break down.
Don't we see that this is already the case?



Individualism is Hell


Individualism has made a great nation of America into a small one that is full of bickering and complaints.  It can be compared to the nation's symbol of the great eagle.  It was created to spread its wings and explore the great plains around cliffs to capture its food supply.

But if you were to catch the eagle and just give him the bare minimum of rations so it could live, how great would the eagle be?

This is what individualism, living for oneself, has done to a once prosperous nation.  Are people exploding with happiness here in  America or unhappy?  They are miserable.  They are living like in the dungeons of hell even with such prosperity surrounding them in their daily lives.

On the other hand, how happy would an eagle be that had once been captured and now is finally released from its cage and is liberated?



True Love is Eternal

No matter how old the earth becomes, the principles of True Love continues.  The direction and action of True Love will remain the same throughout history and into the future.  Even before creation, this concept of True Love existed.

After Adam and Eve were created and after the fallen world came into being, the same concept of absolute pure love was the center of hope for all of the surrounding things to be taken away and cleaned up.


Then they can be connected to the new world.



The Church Restores True Love


Why was the Family Federation formerly known as the Unification Church founded?  It was so all that was lost through the actions of the first human parents can be restored and to bring liberation to God when the ideal is completed.

This is the church's mainstream thought.  In order for restoration to take place, all ideals should be realized centering on True Love.

Should people reject or welcome such a movement?  This is God's ideal and the tool which He brought the Messiah as the Second Advent.  It is to make the four-position foundation of the family centered on God with True Love as the core.

That is the purpose of the Unification Movement.

West and East Must Unite

The author of the Divine Principle which this blog is based upon has gone through insurmountable obstacles to found content which brings the Completed Testament Age:

"Everything he has done so far, and every foundation he has laid, he has done all by himself, and he will do it again and still more. Nothing is done by chance; everything has very complicated yet very solid reasoning behind it.  Although you cannot see it, it is there. It is not only talk, but it is all reality, that he has achieved.

If you happen to witness the work of some individual or group which excels this, then you can go ahead and oppose him; but not until. Can you understand?"

Someone who thought about this first, and worked on it, and achieved it before any other individual or organization, is Master Moon. We have to acknowledge this because it is a fact. The conscientious and intellectuals will perceive this.

There is no teacher to him, but God is the sole teacher.  He didn't consult in other individuals before taking action, because he wasn't working with mankind.  He consults with God directly.  God is alive; God is here.  Therefore, you can talk to God about any matter and get the solution, you don't have to consult with individuals.

One country needs to act as a mediator between the East and the West and Japan is the one. As far as God's dispensation, Japan's existence is for this sole purpose.

Now, the Japanese must stand fast against losing pride and becoming shaky. Japanese families and people can open up the future of the world for them.

Koreans will see the Japanese called for certain mission and wonder why this is so.  It is God's strategy to sacrifice the ones closest to Him and bring the farthest ones closer.  Therefore Japanese students must be grateful for God's benevolence.

The Japanese members of the Unification Church already know this; so no matter how hard the work they go through and the hardships they experience, they never complain. There is not one single word of complaint. They obey.  This is their culture.

That's the only difference between the godly people and ungodly people.

Never forget, behind all of these events there have been mass labors and sufferings. You must never forget that today the fruit of all the sacrifice -- significant and small -- in the history, is all combined. 

Those ones who do not recognize this immediately will be the ones who will deny every sacrifice and everything that was good in the past. For the purpose of goodness, we mobilize all of our conscience.

The culture of the East and the West must become one.  Through whom?

Through God.



We must open our conscience and mind wide and observe this heaven-given knowledge.  Eastern people and Western people together should make a determination for the work of the future.  We should build the world of eternity where the world will be one in the Unification realm.

An ideal young person that has perfected themselves and met the perfect mate, such a man and wife and family will want to have everybody in the world as their friend.  In this sense, the world will become a happy multitude which will be happy just looking at all their brothers and sisters in the world.

When such people become friends it will be such a beautiful sight to see.

"Those are the multitudes who will make their credo to love God more than their own nation. It will be those people who can love their God-centered brothers and sisters more than anything else they have in the world. Wouldn't that be the highest ideal for which youth can aim."

When a person extends his love beyond his own spouse and family and on to his sisters and brothers of the entire world, he will be a successful person; the only successful person.  He must be centered around God because without God, we do not exist.

If you condense man to a seed, what would that seed be?  Before the child were the parents, so the parents are your origin or seed.  From the origin you are born.

What is the origin of your parents? Parent, parent, parent and so on...then it goes back to the ultimate cause and that is God.

The only hope and purpose of every living being's life is to resemble its own source. Let us examine a seed. 

When we observe a seed, we notice that it is surrounded by a pouch and always splits into two.  No matter how small a seed is, it is always divided into two.  This resembles the ultimate cause.  The ultimate cause is God; God has a dual capacity or essentiality as one character.  Everything else in creation also because it takes after the origin the principle which is God.

To take another example, even an individual has two elements: the body or flesh and the conscience. That's the plus entity and minus entity. When they go against each other they perish. When you take the example of the seed, do the two elements within the seed fight each other? They never fight. If they did there would be no plant.

What about mankind?  Are we one as an individual?  Are we perfected.  If not, then you have no life.
This is because we haven't even become a seed yet.  A perfected man or woman must become on.

When man and woman become one, then they are truly happy.  Why are they happy together?  Because in that way, they resemble and come closer to God; this is why they are happy.

All seeds contain all the elements of a plant. So when you plant a seed, a root comes. It comes from something, because there is something in it. The trunk comes because a trunk was already there, and it has leaves. The leaves come because there already have been leaves.

We as individuals each have a root, and a trunk...then this means we must have leaves.  These three will comprise a tree.  Who is your root?  Your parents are your root.  Are you a perfect trunk?  This is your problem.

When you look at a tree, it resembles a closed circle. Why?

Because God is like that. God is round, so it becomes round. The base is round, the trunk is round, the branches are round. Round things rotate. They run easier anywhere.

A tree resembles a closed circle...why is this?

Because God is like that.  God is round, so the base is round, the trunk is round, the branches are round.  Round things rotate.  It is like a ball.  If you kick it, it will go very easily in any direction and anywhere.

This is why we need something round and complete in our character and why everybody resembles this round shape.  Everybody is working and living these patterns.  Those who are very athletic can make himself very round.

We see these three steps: root, trunk and leaves because that is the principle of God.  When you live in conformity with these three elements, the world can be yours and God will not protest.

Even the finger has three steps or joints, the arm has a hand and upper and lower arms and the head and body and trunk.


Are American people precious individually or as a collective unit.  Collective.  Is your own value temporary or eternal?  Eternal.  Is it an absolute value or something that can be diminished?  Absolute.  Everyone has ambition as if he was a thief trying to rob everything from God.  But God doesn't mind.  As long as you live withing principle, He doesn't mind.
