Relationships Need True Love to Work

Without true love, men and woman cannot trust each other. They use each other to serve themselves.

Sexual union is the crowning glory of marital love.

When a couple unites through sex, this symbolizes the mingling of the hearts, blood and lives of the two partners.

This is God’s delight as well.

Before the Fall, sex was not seen as dirty or something shameful.  God would be a part of the marriage couple’s pleasurable, sacred lovemaking.

But history has provided evidence of people having difficulty disciplining their sexuality and remain faithful to their partners.

Lovers who are not committed to one another can leave behind unwanted children, diseases, adults who prey on children who are not theirs in the relationship and so on.

It is all too easy for the body to subjugate the mind, for instinct to override conscience in the arena of sex.

Some attribute this to an individual’s childhood trauma and learning.

Others blame social conditioning based on the struggle of power in relationships.  Still others have sought to explain this behavior in light of early social patterns by tracing back to the earliest communities.

Some religious traditions and psychologies look to ancient myths, legends and stories that tell of the origins of human suffering through a human Fall.

These myths are respected and thought of as revealing of profound inner truths that are too deep and not easy to convey, thus are shown through powerful images and narratives.


“Myths are facts of the mind made manifest in a fiction of matter,” asserts anthropologist Joseph Campbell.


The tale of Adam and Eve in the book of Genesis in the Bible quickly comes to mind.

The Qur’an also has a counterpart story.

Reverend Moon found the root of sexual immorality and the secret of all human suffering and self-destructiveness.

These traits are tied up with the reason why it is easy to misuse love and why societies are witnessing harmful relationship patterns between men and women throughout history.

What is this secret revealed in the story of Adam and Eve?

How does the abuse of sexuality between individuals and relationships impact society?


The Human Downfall

The Bible states that the first man and woman brought evil and suffering into the world.

At that time, they enjoyed everything in Heaven on Earth freely.  But God gave them one warning: do not eat a certain fruit.

The Bible states that a crafty serpent (the Qur’an is a vengeful angel) who tempted the women with the promise that if she delve into the fruit she would gain wisdom and divine likeness to God.  He made it seem that God was keeping this power from humanity and keeping it to Himself, hence bringing a word contrary to God.

After this, she saw that the fruit was good to eat for her and ate it.

Further in the story, Eve gave the fruit to Adam.  As the snake promised, they both gained wisdom.  But by eating the fruit which God warned them against eating, it brought shame and guilt upon the man and woman so they hid themselves from God.

They first covered their sexual parts.

In every drawing or account of the Fall of Adam and Eve, it has the man and woman covering their sexual organs.

When a person makes a mistake, they cover their transgressions.  The fact that the couple covered their sexual organs, shows that their mistake was in these lower parts.

This is similar to when two people are caught in fornication or adultery

When this story first circulated, this was probably transparent to the audiences then.  In the Middle East, they understand the euphemism of ‘eating of fruit’ to mean sexual relations.

Also, the expression, ‘to know’ someone as in having sexual relations with another.

Thus the Tree of Knowledge takes on sexual connotations as well. 

Many who speak of having sex outside of marriage or in immature relations promise that they will become mature and experienced.

People still expect this from sex.

When sex is violated in this way, they bear foretold consequences from their deeds: painful childbirth, distrust and tension between men and women, not able to grow and mature in love any further, and a profound separation from God who is the source of love and life.

The Hebrew tale of Paradise Lost, written by Milton brought in a sexual counterpart, and early writings of Jewish and Christian clergy did as well, In the historical perspective, according to scholars makes the Biblical account unmistakable: the tree, snake and the women’s name and other features alludes to the widespread practice of temple prostitution and the story was a deliberate parody to denounce it.

These writings place a sexual sin at the core of all human disorder and misery.

Other myths imply the same detail.  A Shinto myth has a god and his wife engage improperly in conjugal love.  They may call it incest.  Then they correctly give birth to the islands of Japan.  The goddess dies and a misfortune befalls their first son and daughter. Kojiki 4.1-6.1

Hindu and Buddhist text also tell their tale tying the origins of suffering to sexual indiscretions.

The Greek myth of Pandora tells of a woman who betrays her promise to her immortal fiance and opens a box which releases all kinds of suffering into the world.

This box can easily symbolize a woman’s sexual parts which are opened by another instead of her husband.


Ambivalence towards sexuality

Intuitively, there is a link between sexuality and the origins of human evil.  This forms the basis of the mixed messages within certain religions regarding sex.

The chosen people of Israel had a distinguished mark of circumcision.  This is a mutilation of the male organ which was involved in the Fall.

Christians and Buddhist favor celibacy as their path to sanctification and enlightenment.

Sex is a sacred gift which has become degraded and dangerous.

In the context of wider society, sexuality is honored.  For instance, poetry and songs celebrate its goodness and maligned on the other or the vulgar ways people refer to it when expressing hate and aggression.


Subtle Ramifications

The substance of these sacred narratives is the content of contemporary life.

People indulge in sex without being mature or involved in marriage.  This brings on more heartbreak and distortion about true love.

The most ironic consequence of thinking about casual sex is that people are blind to these very consequences.

Thus, the supreme and sacred power of sexual love with all of its intrinsic psychological and emotional, moral and spiritual, relational, social and lineal ramifications comes to be reduced to merely a pleasurable physical activity, like eating or sleeping. 

The real costs of premature sexual relations on the personal and social level and the impact on God are largely overlooked.  Technology can take care of the unwanted pregnancy and sexual infections, but the damage it causes to the spirit are irreversible.

Advantages of Marriage

A man and woman will learn from each other through their union things about themselves, humanity and our Creator that can not be known in any other way.


“Man is born to meet woman and woman is born to meet man.  And man and woman together are born to combine with a higher level of love, God’s love. Neither man nor woman can touch God’s higher love by themselves.”

This means that when a man weds, his woman is a kind of savior in countless ways.  Just as a husband is like her personal messiah.  This is the where the foundation for spouses to have inexpressible gratitude for one another.

Oneness between a man and a woman is relative.  First, they have the deal with the inherited legacy of conflict between men and women.  Then there is the inherent contradiction between partner's words and their actual deeds that makes true love itself a great struggle.  This is why when masculine and feminine become one, it remains a grand challenge as uniting the mind and body.



The Rewards of Commitment

In a husband and wife relationship, research supports the power of having continual investment.  A study found that couples whose relationship was distressed that almost 8 out of 10 reported being content in their marriage after they persevered for five more years.

Those who gave up on their marriage and decided to divorce, they were not any happier the ones who stayed married in their peer group, or those who even remarried.

This information reveals the importance of sticking things through and staying commit meted.  If people remained through the ups and downs, this investment will surely yield fruit.

“One advantage of marriage,” notes author Judith Viorst, “is that when you fall out of love with each
other, it keeps you together until maybe you fall in again.”

The heartbreaks and hardships that accompany any long-term relationship can turn into an element of deep bonding.


“I did not even want to deal with all the difficulties in my marriage. It was easier just to put on a game face, have a few drinks and dive deeper into my job,” one man remembers. “But my pastor forced me to say some things to my wife that needed saying, and to face what I was doing wrong too. Now I look back at that time as a period that made us a lot closer.”

The Bible encourages couples to love each other in a proper way - as “joint heirs of the grace of life..in order that your prayers may not be hindered. (1 Peter 3.7 RSV)

The oneness between spouses is a lightning rod for divine blessing.

At the same time, when a man and woman unite in deep abiding love, the joy that is created and prosperity they share from the blessing will spread to their children, all who know them, the greater human community and the Creator Himself.


Identifying with their gender community


Societies used to have rites of initiation when a boy was transitioning into manhood aor girls into womanhood so that they youth could solidify their gender identity.

In modern society, boys and girls still participate in single-gender team sports, or clubs like the Boys and Girls Scouts, to give challenges and opportunities to win respect among their elders and peers.

The military still serves in this traditional way for young men.

Even after marriage, men and women both continue to receive empowerment and comfort when they are in the company of their same-sex friends.

When they are joking around together, this characterizes the banter of male buddies.  They give silent respect and honor one another which in turn renews them.

Likewise, the “girl talk’ between women is a reassuring reinforcement of a sense of connection and support in their lives.

This is why both sexes need to enjoy the company of same-sex company on a regular basis to ‘retreat and regroup’ to strengthen their ability to give to the opposite-sex individuals in their lives.



Unification through Marriage



The ultimate unification of masculine and feminine takes place in marriage and in making a family.


When a husband and wife hold each other, their children will understand and appreciate the opposite sex.

To the woman, her husband and sons represent masculinity in all phases of development.

Similarly, the man embraces all femininity through his love for his wife and daughters. Thus marriage and family life provide the fascinating ongoing adventure of bonding and integration between masculinity and femininity.

Marriage and family life thus makes men and women into a better mirror of the divine. 

“In the image of God he created him; male and female he created them,” the Bible reminds us; man and woman together echoes the Creator’s own “wedded” nature (Genesis
1.27).




Hindu scripture speaks of the original Self, the Creator, splitting in two to make man and woman. Thus each is “like half of a split pea” (Brihadaranyaka Upanishad 1.4.3).

Such a couple is a full mirror of the Godhead. Indeed, Reverend Moon characterizes the married couple as the smallest unit of humanity, in the sense of fulfilling the purpose of human creation as God’s complete reflection and love partner.

The love between a man and woman can be uniquely edifying because they are complementary in physique and psyche.  They can feel ‘as one’.  They can feel knit together in mind, heart and body the same way same-sex friends never can.

When man and woman give into marriage in heart and body, their “humanity is rejoined and fulfilled,” in the words of philosopher Michael Novak.


The result is a certain “distinctive honesty, realism, and wisdom taught by each sex to the other.”19 A man and woman learn through their union things about themselves, humanity and the Creator that can be known no other way.

“Man is born to meet woman and woman is born to meet man,” says Reverend Moon. “And man and woman together are born to combine with a higher level of love, God’s love.

Neither man nor woman can touch God’s higher love by themselves.

In this sense, a man’s wedded woman is a kind of savior in countless ways, just as a woman’s husband is like her personal messiah. This is the basis of the inexpressible gratitude spouses often feel towards each other.


Potential for oneness

Because men and women are indeed made for each other, given sufficient time and effort, the unity of heart between a man and woman is to be expected. The magnetism between masculinity and femininity can overcome differences. Since their Origin is an integrated whole, they too can integrate into wholeness.

Even though such an idea is hard to reconcile with popular notions of romance, it is the ordinary experience of the millions of couples over countless generations who were strangers when married and who grew to deeply love each other.

This is captured in the memorable lyrics of the song from “Fiddler on the Roof,” when Tevye reminisces about his arranged marriage to Golde, his wife, and says to her,

But my father and my mother said we’d learn to love each other

And now I’m asking, Golde, ‘Do you love me?’

After protesting that for “Twenty-five years my bed is his; If that’s not love, what is?,” she concedes that indeed she does.

And so between two people who may not have been attracted to each other at first.

Recalls Ann Meara, half of the long-married comedy team, Stiller and Meara, “Was it love at first sight? It wasn’t then—but it sure is now.”23 This may not be the self-conscious and passionate ardor of young lovers, but it is a deeply rooted, comfortable kind of caring and unity not unlike the attachment a person has to his or her own arm.


Continual Devotion

For this reason, a sixth principle for true love is Investing towards Oneness.

Ultimately the Creator represents the highest and original purpose. Those who center their relationship upon God invite Him to manifest Himself and His beauty, truth and goodness in the partnership and its fruits.

Examples are endless, since this is the dynamic behind all productive
relationships, even in the inanimate world.

Protons and electrons have opposite charges that attract each other. They interact
as subject and object partners, driven by atomic law that contains a higher purpose, and create a new existence, a hydrogen atom.

A professor as the subject partner engages in give and take with her students as object partners, based on the curriculum as their shared purpose, resulting in an enriching learning experience for all.

A band comes together to express their common vision of music, and the members interact with one another in lead and backup roles.

Their degree of unity is directly reflected in their music. A coffee shop manager in the leader position hires counter help in the supportive role.

The manager treats the workers well and the counter servers are diligent and loyal, resulting in a productive business that realizes the shared goal of profits and service to the community.

A pastor prays with his youth ministry staff as his helpers and together they craft a marriage preparation ministry that leads many young people through purity into matrimony and a deeper commitment to God.

Implicit in this observation is that whenever any relationship is unfruitful—or destructive, as is possible in the case of human relations—certainly there is a problem with the nature of the urpose or the interaction or both.

“My high school football team was undefeated in our state,” one young man recalls. “But sorry to say, the victories went to our heads.

We lost our focus on doing our best and got complacent.

At the same time, a lot of us starting worrying about showing off for the college scouts and we forgot about the team.

When we got to the regionals, we blew every game.”

In other words, the team lost its vertical purpose and the horizontal interactions also deteriorated.

How to be a True Parent

It has been said millions of times that the toughest job in the world is that of a parent, most particularly the mother's position.

There is probably no other time in history where the children were as collectively rebellious as in the Last Days.  Because of Adam and Eve's mistake, which they made while they were still teenagers, we are witnessing this phenom today.

Now that we are living during the time of restoring humanity back to the position before the Fall, we will see the fruit of fallen history take place.

For parents to educate their children, they must first put their good words into practice.  They should first set the example of being loyal to God's will.

In this way, they create an atmosphere where whatever they say, their children will revere them without ever talking back.

Otherwise, there is no way for the children to follow them.

For this to happen, parents should give their children a heavenly education.  In teaching their children, parents should first be exemplary.

For parents to teach their children about filial piety, then the parents must be children of filial piety first before God.

This means that you, the adults, should be filial sons and daughters according to the heavenly laws so heaven's tradition of filial piety can be established from there.

Parents should educate them to practice filial piety just as their own parents practiced filial piety in the family.

The patriot's parents struggled for the nation even while being driven into desperate circumstances. 

Parents Must First Set an Example

Parents do not make their children practice filial piety just by telling them to do so.

Every parent should want to possess a heart which causes the children to WANT to practice filial piety to spring up within them.

This kind of love does not happen in one morning, but is developed over a long period of influence from the parents.

What does it mean to exert influence?  

Parents should set the example in their daily lives for their children to follow their way. 

You should be experts at putting such things into practice.

As parents, you do not just simply say, "Become great people" but rather, you say, "Go this way in order to become great people."

Fathers must fulfill their responsibility as fathers and the elder siblings should fulfill their responsibilities as elders.

By you becoming people who walk the path of true men and women, who do not deviate from the heavenly law, a pathway will emerge by which you can go the principled course and become the citizens of the one nation.

Then, what should parent's do?

Parents should teach the children to love their brothers and sisters in such a way as the mother and father loves them.  At the same time, they should teach their children to have a love for the nation in such a way. Then they do not need any further education.

When it is time for you to pray, ask God to make your children follow this way since you are doing it this way.

You can only place your children in such a position only after you yourself have set the standard.  Once you stand in such a high position, then God would naturally lead your children in the same direction.

Thus, if you fail to reverse the trend here, then you will be called to account for this failure once your go to spirit world.

Each of your families should have such children that view Mom and Dad as greater than any kings, queens or presidents in the world.

Also, you should be able to show them their mother and father are close and united with each other like no other parents in the secular world.  You should establish such a tradition.

This tradition should be so well planted in your children that they will say that their parents make them proud more than anyone else in the world.

If you look at the parents in the secular world, they constantly fight making a big mess even when their children protest their behavior in tears.

If children are unable to grow up without any tears or sympathy, when they see their parents fight in the secular world, they still exclaim that their Mom and Dad are the best in the world.

This is because they do not know the standard.  This is why you should set the example of a true parent and how children should be.

You should establish a parental bond where adoration flows out from the innermost core of your children's heart.

Thereby, this is where the family precepts and traditions are established.  Through teaching this tradition, the children of the next generation will say, "We will stand in the position as parents."

Parents Are Best Friends and Best Teachers

Have you ever thought where does love originate?

It never comes from the self, but rather from a partner.

Without a partner, love cannot arise. 

We see this pair system in all of creation.

Within humankind, women complement men, and children complement their parents.  Love is never realized without partners, a subject and object partner.

Those who have not been able to truly experience this love of the three object partners, cannot stand of having substantially experienced God's perfect love.

We should give birth to be able to match the rejoicing of God after having created Adam and Eve when we give birth to sons and daughters.

After God spent millions of years to develop the creation, surely he was overjoyed at the time of His first children's arrival.

We learn this in the Divine Principle.  After God created the first parents He told them, "From now on, you will rule over the world.  Our family will be the central family of the world.  Please grow up quickly."  God felt joy and satisfaction after Adam and Eve came into being.

God thus desired to see the day that Adam and Eve would be able to be blessed in His true Holy marriage upon their coming age.

By the same token, when fathers and mothers give all of the energy and love into raising their children well, they want to find good partners to become good husbands and wives.  When this happens, the family thus prospers.

Who are truly your children's best friends?

Not the young boys from the neighboring village. Your children's best friends are none other than you, their own parents.

This is how it should be.  Parents should be liked by their own children even more than their friends.  This is how you should think when raising your children.

Parents must be their children's best friends and best teachers.

While educating their children, parents should not lose their tempers and yell, "Hey you, don't do that!".  Teachers should not say, "You brat! I will spank you if you don't do what I told you.  Don't do that!"  Instead both should educate children with love.

Parents should teach their children in such a way that if they were to ask their children, "Hey, do you think you should do that?" The children will answer in such a way, "You are right, I should not do that because it would make my parents sad."

This is the reason that the parents should be their children's best friends.  Do you think that Adam and Eve in the Garden of Eden had friends?  If Adam had any friends, his only friend was Eve.  Next there was just God.

But God did not want His children to be friends with the archangel who was a servant until after the purpose of creation was fulfilled, then Lucifer would have gone to the  next level beyond the servant if he fulfilled God's will.

Instead, Adam and Eve befriended the wrong person.  So, parents should be the best of all teachers, the best of all friends and become the best of all thrills of love.

Love begins from God.

Therefore, conjugal love stems from the parents.

When it is is time for the parents' children to find mates, the parents can say, "Hey, you like each other not because of yourselves but because of the virtues of your parents."  Their children should reply, "You were right, if you had not raised us this way and found such partners for us, we would have been disastrous."

As we have seen in society, marriages that are based on personal choice only without thought to the purpose of the whole, fail to meet the standard.  So who should educate children in love?  They should be educated by their parents.

Children should see that their mother and father love each other with great fun, like two cooing pigeons and learn from this kind of love.  They should be able to say, "Wow, when I see my father and mother together like that, I feel lonely when I am alone.  I also need a partner whom I can love like my parents love one another."

Their parents should teach them how to be like this.

When children are able to repeat this kind of love and extend it out into society, then the world will become a world of goodness and human history will become a history of goodness.  This is what we seek to accomplish.

Chastisement with Love

According to the Revelation of John, one should be hot or cold, but never lukewarm, because the world where love is lukewarm will never do.

If you have a heart of love you can even chastise with a stick. 

While raising your children, if they fail to meet a certain standard, even though you have loved them, then you should sometimes treat them coldly.  If you do not scold them when they are clearly at fault, then they grow up without the capacity to distinguish right from wrong.

Although your Teacher may look amiable, I can sometimes be strict. I can be merciless toward evil, but toward goodness I can be hot like a furnace at thousands of degrees.  When I heard recently that a teacher at a school in the West was in trouble with the authorities for using corporal punishment, I said to myself, "Now that nation will perish!" 


A nation that does not allow the correct discipline of children will soon be a nation of adults that do not know how to behave in the proper way.  Therefore, students should not mind if their teachers strongly guide them in the right direction even with strong chastisement.

There is a saying in Korea, "Give one more rice cake to someone you dislike, and wield a stick for someone you like."

This is the only way to ensure that the right tradition is continued.

Children should forget the pain of their punishment and should be able to shed tears before the love of their parents.

The closer you are to someone, the more you can scold him, saying, "You heathen! Why did you do that?" 

Instead of rewarding him, you can spank him on the calf and scold him, saying, "You rascal, did you do something good or bad?"

But the intensity of our concern for him must exceeds the severity of the punishment otherwise, it will be a sin.


If your punishment is more severe and surpasses the concern for the child, he could become one of your biggest enemies.


Even if you correct your child out of love, if the severity of the punishment exceeded the degree of love then everything will shatter.  Nevertheless, the opposite case happens, then everything is set right.

If we were to say that your love for him is at a level of ten on a scale of one to then, but incurred a minus of five because of a severe punishment, your child would still be grateful at the level of five.

Even still, if you child is unable to accept his punishment well, in order to allow him to come to repentance, you should love him with a greater love than you have shown him in the past.

Thus, even a delinquent child would be able to repent and turn immediately around in front of such true parental love.

However, if you scold your child repeatedly, and speak loudly about how well you have raised him, he will begin to pack his bags. 

But, if you love your child with a greater love, by shedding tears as if your heart would melt for them, they will turn around.

Greater love tends to take the lead in assimilating and integrating all other lesser forms of love. 

Even parents that live in the secular society if they are lax and tell their children not to study because they look tired, that parent does not truly love their child.

Parents should encourage their children to stay up and study even if they have to spank them.

Why is this so?

The parents should be concerned for the future well-being rather than just their present circumstances.  Parents discipline children in this way because they have greater hopes and dreams for their future.

When you give birth to and nurture your children, do so with true love. 

Based on this foundation, if your family members are able to unite closely and learn to love their nation, they will then become patriots.

Hence, parents watch over the growing process of their children and thus educate them.

Sometimes loving parents have to wield a big stick of love so that the children can grow up in the right way.

Children should not complain or protest because of being scolded or even spanked by their parents when they make mistakes.

Children should take such discipline as a lesson.  They should repent seriously and strive to amend their errors.

Such children will be able to grow up correctly and draw near to the center where God abides.

World Peace is Our Responsibility

Are you still waiting for the rapture and for Jesus to return?

Christianity teaches that God's son, Jesus will return in the Last Days for the purpose of restoring the Kingdom of Heaven on Earth as God initially intended.

Through the Divine Principle, which this blog is based upon, we learn that the Lord of the Second Advent will spiritually pioneer the way of the cross and will be victorious where Jesus left off.

This is the difficult part of restoring the world and God's people back to their original positions before the Fall.

Since, the Fall began with the first parents, then True Parents must reverse the mistakes of the Fall.

In all of history, when we look at earth, humankind and heaven, has there been anyone who was able to attend these victorious True Parents(Messiah)?

Heaven, earth and humankind have not been prepared to attend such True Parents who do not carry the trace of the Fall within them.  

Now that we are living in the Completed Testament Age, the position of True Parents have been restored and humanity is being prepared to follow to attend them and God.

Is it just enough to attend the Messiah when he returns?

After attending the parents and reaching perfection, you need to restore your own family, tribe, nation and world. God prepared the people of Israel for the birth of the Messiah as well.

To stand before True Parents as true children, you must accomplish the course of the individual level, family level, tribe, and national-level restoration.

After completing the parents' course of restoration on each level, then the standard of parents and children having become one and victorious is thus established and Satan must leave.

Only after this is accomplished can we conclude the restoration of the national and the global level.

Then, what is the mission of the Unification Church and in what kind of position are you who have joined the church? You have been called into the Unification Church, of which I am the central figure. 

As you walk this path or restoration, you have to develop spiritually and physically what has been a sorrowful six thousand years of vertical history.

Then what is our goal?

We must establish a nation of people who are restored to the True Parents position on a worldwide foundation.  In other words, we must establish the world-level nation of True Parents instead of fallen, satanic parents.  This would be a world of peace.

We must eliminate the remaining sorrow, pain and tears of the world as soon as possible. 

As long as brothers and sisters suffer hunger, pain and suffering, a world of peace will never be found.

This is our responsibility and mission.

This is the path you were meant to follow.  You should not turn and look back either with your heart or with your body as the Israelites did.

This kept them from from following Moses and further delaying God's victory to 40 years with the first generation dying in the wilderness on the way to Cannan.

The Israelites suffered greatly in the desert that they even envied their past life as slaves instead of having faith and believing they could conquer the more established Canaanites.

Therefore, we should have the sincere hope to be able to fully attend the True Parents on the behalf of God.

In attending them, we should not attend them after the conditions and difficult path has been laid and everyone admires and respects them.

Rather, we should desire to attend the True Parents of all history as they pass through this sorrowful course.

When you look at the saints and good people throughout history, they have prayed for the day that the Messiah would return and liquidate the fallen lineage and return humanity back to God's lineage.

In their time, even after arduous pray, they could only momentarily keep Satan's attacks at bay.

Our own ancestors deeply are pained that they could not attend the True Parents while they were on earth.  All humankind deep in their hearts have such hopes to attend True Parents.

Therefore, you should become true sons and true daughters of filial piety who are able to attend them from a miserable situation rather than trying to attend them from a glorious position.

Such sons and daughters will cry out that the True Parents are walking the suffering path of the cross that is more severe than that of Jesus, even though the sons and daughters are experiencing difficulty, despair and misery themselves.

As filial sons and daughters they will exclaim, "As someone who attends True Parents, I therefore accept any kind of heavy cross as a matter of course. I praise that, so please, God, do not worry on account of me."

How can we engraft, on the individual level, to the parents' individual victory of restoring the sinful blood to God's pure blood lineage?

Only after we indemnify, restore the worries, pains and sorrow that come to us, instead of giving them to God to bear.

Why have I spread the Blessed Families(families married by the Messiah and rid of sinful blood) out everywhere in Korea? God works with the thirty million people of the Korean people and the entire Korean peninsula, and True Parents are coming to the thirty million Korean people and the Korean peninsula.  Every village, valley, mountain and field -- desires to attend the coming True Parents. 

Serving True Parents is the desire of all people in history. 

You should set an individual standard of indemnity and then become the substantial representatives of True Parents.

You should become the type of people whose whole village will want to serve you without regret.  Of course, True Parents are always in the center making a spiritual relationship with everyone.

There is only one set of True Parents.  However, with limitations of a physical body, they are unable to relate with everyone personally.

This is why True Parents have blessed families so they can stand in the position as their representatives. Therefore, they stand in the position to relate with all people.

True Parents' responsibility is to bear the cross and pass the national level where Jesus had laid the path on to the worldwide level.

Therefore, the cross of the people should be carried by the Blessed Families who live as true children of True Parents.

After the Fall, we fell below the position of God's true sons and daughters.  Through Jesus' difficult path, we were able to become God's adopted sons and daughters.

Now that we live in the Completed Testament Age, we can become true sons and daughters just as Jesus was.

All families that receive the Marriage Blessing which reverses the fallen blood lineage and connects your family to God's direct lineage, must serve as the foundation for the people in order for Heaven to gain victory.

We must love True Parents and separate from Satan based on the standard of original love. We must fulfill our responsibility to go beyond the standard of perfection on the world level.  This is how world peace will come about.

Our mission

We are preparing a foundation so we can directly attend True Parents and assemble other brothers and sisters of the world before them.

We are the ancestors who have this responsibility.  Therefore, we have to remove the path of the cross and persecution so our descendants do not have to bear it.

Currently, the sad situation of humanity is that we pass on the blood of the fallen blood lineage to our children who have to also bear the cross to liquidate their sins.  This is our original mission, not our descendants.

When can God finally appear as the master and Parent of all creation and reclaim His position which was stolen from Satan?

Once the human world unifies and the Abel and Cain world become one.

We can think that all the people living on the earth today, are like children living without their parents.

They fight among themselves.  Therefore, God has to appear as the Parent and teach them that those who are fighting are only fighting their elder brothers and their younger brothers.

Nobody knew this but God. 

The concept of true, ideal parents departed once false parents were established.  Also, because true parents' position was lost, there was no foundation for the ideal children to come.  These positions were sacrificed to Satan.

Therefore, the ideal parents must now appear replacing the false parents linked the blood lineage of Satan.

The time has finally come, awaited through all of history, for God to educate ideal children.  A religion, a movement has taken over this mission.

This is the Unification Church.

We should be proud of the True Parents' achievements.

Next, true children must come together.  They should not just love their family clan, but they should love on the global and universal level.

True children should not say that they only know the American people.  They should transcend any ethnic feelings.

In whose name did the Fall occur?

In Satan's name.

Therefore, in these Last Days, we should jump over the line of the Fall in God's name.

So, God should be above our head and command us directly, just as God was above Adam.

True Parents have no connection to the Fall. 

Our path is to make this new world by gathering people with the true lineage from around the world, who are connected to True Parents and God.

Thus a true family will become a tribe, a tribe will become society and a people will establish a  nation that takes dominion over the world.

Throughout history, the fallen world has been sinking.  Now, we must make a new start and go up.

We are at the time in history where the fallen world and the new world centered on God will meet.  Everything will now reverse.

Then, when will we connect to that central line?

The True Parents had to reach the worldwide level to finally be victorious over Satan who is firing his weapons.

This is why we are experiencing a heavy battle, so we can expand from the nation to the spirit world capacity of True Parents.  

We are approaching the time where the True Parents will be welcomed as national parents.

Even God Prays

As a person of faith, you should create a good problem: be a heavenly troublemaker for God.  That is what Father did when he came to America.

America has reached first class status in the world and has built a prosperous society and culture in the world.

However, I came to shake this nation up, as with karate chops and kicks. Americans resent my disturbing their "peace". But I did not come to destroy America, only to warn this nation that there is danger ahead. If there will be a dam break, someone has to warn the people and bring them out of disaster. You know there is a big battle coming, so you must ready yourself in body and spirit.

You must prepare you mind, body and spirit readying it for battle, have you done that yet?

If you go, you can ask God to fill in the areas which you lack and He will come and help you fill in any gaps you have in order to complete the mission.  He will say, "I'm right behind you, child."  He will think that you are resolute and totally committed to the mission.

For, if God is assured and confident about you, an avalanche of help will come to you. 

You should build up a basic attitude and atmosphere for prayer.  If you do not do this, your prayers will not bear fruit.


In my case, by just thinking about some problem and not even praying about it, already God knew my thoughts and fulfilled what I was thinking. I have such experiences. God went one step or several steps ahead of me. When I discovered that my thinking had been fulfilled, He smiled and said, "See what I did?"

What is better than sitting in a dark room praying for hours?  Knocking on one more door of your Home Church area, in order to save one person even if they spit on you with contempt.

You only need prayer when you have exhausted all of your energy and it still was not enough.  Then, you can pray to God, "I gave all I have. Please come help me."  When you come to the point where you can do that, then you don't have to ask God, but you can tell Him to relax.  

What about God?  Do you think He prays sometimes, too?

We can think a little deeper about this. A father or mother can sometimes talk to themselves, "Oh, I wish my son would do this, or be this or that way." This is kind of a prayer.  God does that, too.

This is the same prayer that He has.  God murmurs about, you, about me and the church.  He will say, "How is everyone in the church today?" He would say, "Oh, my son and daughter, be bold and strong and keep going in the battle today.  I am always behind you."  This is God's prayer.

We are living in an emergent time, and He is engrossed in His concern.  This is the same for you.  You don't have to sit down and pray, you can just talk to your yourself.  You can whisper to God that you know that we are living in a time of emergency and you know what you must do and you should do more for the time which you are living.  This is a prayer.

In practice, you may pray first, and then go out for action. But, in my view, prayer and action are one. 

This is your case, praying and doing at the same time is your life.

Praying and waiting for the answer should not be your life.  If you live the life of unconsciously praying, then you are without a doubt becoming sons and daughters of prayer.  When you give your last ounce of energy and it is not enough, then ask God for assistance and your prayer will be answered.

If this was not true, then how will it be possible to subjugate Satan?  There is an end to the suffering and anguish that Satan has caused God for thousands of years.  There is a way to finally subjugate him.  

You can test the power of prayer.  Take one person, pray for them fervently, constantly, but don't tell them that you are doing this.  Pray, with tears for their well being and then that person will feel the magnetic attraction to you and they won't know why they feel so drawn to you.

If you pray for a person with this kind of heart, for sure, when you go out, that person will come to you.  If you do this with seriousness, then these things will happen.

We know that someone under hypnosis can place a person in another state of consciousness, but how much more powerful prayer can change lives.  There is no limit to the power of prayer.

Prayer is not limited by distance, or have limited influence, because the power of thought travels everywhere in the universe.  With this, you can mobilize the entire spirit world just through the power of prayer.

When you have the right attitude toward prayer, then miracle after miracle will happen.

The most important part of the launching pad for a rocket is the foundation.  When it is time for take-off, it must be strong enough not to break under the heat and pressure.

Your prayer is the same way.  It is like firing a missile; you need a solid foundation.  

You must not pray from greed for yourself. 

When you pray with a public purpose, this prayer will cleanse you and elevate your spirit higher and higher.  When you acquire this sensitivity to spirit world, you will be able to sense the events that are about to happen.  Your perception will become keen and you will be able to prepare better for the future.

You should know that you are actually two people in one body.  Your inner man is like a mirror, it is clean and bright.  Therefore, you will feel anguish when your inner man and external man are not in harmony.  But when they are perfectly aligned, you feel joy and power.

This battle is happening everyday within you.  Immediately, when you see a person, your inner man will be able to tell you what kind of person he is.  When you hear someone's report about something, your inner man will be able to tell you how truthful it is.

As soon as someone walks into a room, your inner man will be able to tell you whether that person is here to bring good news or bad news.  This is what happens when the two men interact as one.

Don't neglect your inner man, but consult him all the time.

You inner man always wants to talk to your physical man.

You inner person and physical self are united once you are higher spiritually.  Here, they have a clear communication with one another.  You will find that you may not intend to say anything, but all of the sudden you find that your mouth is moving.  That is not you, but your inner self speaking on  your behalf.

Even rats of a ship can sense when the ship is in trouble and they run away.  How much more should man, which is God's supreme creation know about life or death situations that are about to come?

Wouldn't God create within man some alert system when a certain fate is coming?  Isn't man superior to a rat?  Through practicing prayer, you will gain such spiritual sensitivity.

For your inner and outer man to become one, you need the power of prayer.

Everyone should experience these phenomena spiritually.  Don't pray prayers that do not have meaning.

Now you have an understanding of the power of prayer.  You body is just like the receiver of an radio.

Then you know whether you will succeed or fail.  You know when something you want to pursue will succeed, because you will feel pulled in that direction and you will be eager to go ahead.

Once you are able to free yourself from your own thinking centered on yourself, you will be filled with a mighty power.  You must be able to win such spiritual battles.  Once you do, you will be entitled to ask for God's power as you pray for the sake of God's righteousness and His Kingdom. Then He will come to you.

Pray and act. As you act, you will know the power of prayer. 

With this kind of foundation, you will discover yourself being different from yesterday.

Make a showdown with God everyday.  When you get home at night and you were unable to accomplish what you prayer, you must pray, "God, I worked hard today, but it still was not enough.  I need Your help."

This is absolutely necessary.  This routine should become second nature, and without you being aware of it.  You can live that kind of life all of the time.

Only One Way Men and Women Are Equal

Suppose there were millions of women on earth, but only one man?

Would the woman who marries him be able to declare that she didn't truly love her husband and she could start searching for another because of something she does not like about him?

If this was truly the last man on earth, would it matter to the women that he was crippled as long as he was a man?

If he had only one eye would women refuse to marry him based on this?  In that case, his wife would quickly remedy any problems in her heart toward him, and even though she does not like some parts of him, she would accept him.

If a woman is able to digest the negative things in her husband, then unity will come forward and then love will follow.

When unity is accomplished then God moves there to visit.

Unity is good because God dwells there, and then everything becomes love.  Therefore, any movement that creates unity everywhere and with everyone will flourish.

Only after God created both Adam and Eve did He say that the creation was good.

Women today are called feminists as they seek out the concept of equality.

No matter how much they fight for the cause, they cannot argue the fact that there are differences between men and women.  Can woman claim equality when a man needs two helpings of food and women only need one?

A woman wrestler could never defeat a man.  Men can do extra hard labor that a woman cannot do.  Therefore, can women demand equality with these physical differences and strengths?

When are men and women equal?

Only through love are men and women equal.

Is there any better equality higher than love?

During the more primitive times, a man had to work extra hard to provide for his family.  Since man was independent in this way back then and could care for the whole family, God gave woman the one ability that man could never have, which is childbearing in order to balance the differences in their capabilities.

The latest trend these days is that more women have less desire to marry and refuse to have children.

Women must know that their body was not created for themselves.  Even a child understands that the woman's hips and bosom are to nurture children.  But now women diet instead of wanting to develop their hips and breasts for their children.

Would a child want to cuddle in the arms of a woman with a bony figure, or wide hips and soft bosoms? The present trend is for women to be very thin in the Western society.    The design formerly came from the British where women were proud to show off their large hips and bosoms.

This is a serious matter.

If you were to ask God, would He say it was better for a woman to have small bosoms or abundant ones after childbirth?  What about a full figure that is in proportion to their overall height?  Maybe being plump does not look right for an Asian frame, because of their small height.

What about a tall Westerner?

Now, that you understand that your features must balance your height, there is no need to diet.

What is the way we must go in order to prosper?

First, you must be parallel to the purpose of creation.  If you have active love that you give out, you have the ability to observe and digest.  This is an action man and woman should do together.  If you have love, then unity will not be that difficult.

If a couple really loves one another, then it is easier for them to observe and embrace each other.  Sometimes you have to travel a wide road and sometimes the road is narrow.

When you lived the single life before getting married, you went your own way.  But after marriage, you are on the same track with another person.  Either person cannot change for their own individual desire, but they must continue to travel together.

If the goal is always changing, then harmony will be lost and conflict between the two result.  If you continue to change your direction and discard the old one, the next one will never be as good.

The reason is simple: whoever follows the law of creation will be protected by God.

He gets God's protection because He wants the purpose of creation fulfilled.

The man that goes against the laws of creation and follows Satan's law instead will be opposed by God.  This is how the fall takes place.


A rainy day is closer to Satan's side, while a sunny day is closer to God's side. Nevertheless, although it may be raining, you can feel that the sun is shining all around you. That indicates that you have observed and digested and overcome the circumstances.


It is easy to feel down on a cloudy rainy day, but if you are able to overcome and feel brighter, Satan will have to leave you.

That kind of person can go anywhere in the world and spirit world where Satan hangs out and make Satan leave.  Satan's standard is to always find ways to benefit himself.  So, when you overcome circumstances and defeat his purpose and will, he has nothing to gain by staying around.

Is the diligent or lazy man on God's side or more on Satan's side?

Satan whispers in peoples' ears to discourage them from work saying that it is too much trouble and relax.  God, on the other hand, wants to see consistency in your life.  The person who lives one day to the next just only responding to what is thrown at them leans more on the satanic side.

God would urge people to live according to heavenly law.

Are you on the satanic side or good side?

Is the person that constantly dozes off or the one who has bright eyes during a sermon on the satanic side?

The person that was able to be bright eyed because they had lots of sleep is also on the satanic side!  The person who didn't get much sleep, but is still able to have bright eyes is the worthy one.

What must you do to be on this rising side?  Which of the four saints would this worthy person most resemble?  On what foundation can you say he resembles Jesus?

Jesus, of course, abided by God's law, but more importantly, he lived love.  By living love, he went beyond the limited concept of the law.   He went beyond the concept of race because he wanted to belong to and liberate the whole world, not just his country and people.

He went beyond his own religion, and transcended the strict tenets of Jewish law.  He was faithful to bigger principles.  He not only loved the Jews, but even the enemies of his people as well as the rest of the world.

Jesus could even embrace the people who crucified him.

What did Jesus accomplish based on this foundation of faith?

We can understand precisely why Jesus was so great when we know that his goal was to bring about unity which could even include the Romans.

If Jesus was still alive in America, would he push for deeper segregation between the whites and blacks?  People may feel that they are more comfortable around other whites because they can easily digest that situation.

But God would warn such people that as long as they fail to follow their Christian ideals by failing to include Black and Mexican people and bring unity, they would risk their own survival.  We see that today.

Statistics says that if the current population continues to grow, that by 2050 the white population will become the minority.

Jesus' heart had the capability to observe and digest even the world of the Roman Empire, which at that time ruled the entire world.

This high standard of heart was the reason he was great in the human realm.  Whereas he was great because he was the only one at that time who proclaimed that God was the only Father and humanity were His children.

Jesus consistently followed the law of creation and met God's expectation. As a result, Christianity not only survived, but prospered as no other religion has done before his time.

Want World Peace - Love God

To receive God's love, we have to turn around to save this world; we have to sacrifice ourselves. Therefore we must obey the commandment to love the Lord God with all our heart, all our mind, and all our spirit. With all our love, we must love God. This is the first commandment.

Because our world, nations, families and ourselves were built on the foundation of evil, God cannot exist in them.  We cannot love God this way.  This is why Jesus taught to love our neighbors as we love ourselves, love other families as we love our own.

Then the question arises, who is your neighbor and do you love them more than yourself?

It does not pertain to your brothers or sister, your neighbor is all other people in all other nations.  To go the way of love and love your neighbor, you do not put yourself first, you sacrifice yourself.

Without sacrifice we cannot perform God's love. 

As we receive Gods love, we have to sacrifice ourselves to love our neighbor.  The Bible states that we should love God with all of our heart, our minds and all of our spirit.  We might think that God is a dictator
demanding love and devotion from us.

On the contrary, all of these commands are not for God's own sake.

When we love God with all of our being, He will love us just as we love Him.  This is God's intention behind the commandment.  When we love God, he loves back.

God sacrifices the one He loves the most.

For God to love others, He sacrifices the one He love the most. The command which asks for us to love
Him with all our beings means to love Him with our life by sacrificing our life.  This teaching shows clearly why God had to sacrifice Jesus in order to love the whole world.

Because of such teachings, we call God love.  God is the greatest love.  An ideal nation that loves and sacrifices for others is different from those of Satan.  Satan always uses others to protect his own position, God makes His own sacrifice for others, not for God's sake. This is the difference between God and a dictator.

There should be an individual of such sacrificial character who is perfectly one with God.  We say there are many sacred men, but there is not more than one who is completely united with God's Will.  Only one person is truly united with God and His purpose. This person is the Messiah.

The Messiah does not come to save himself or a particular country, he comes to save the world.

The Messiah does not just appear, God has been making preparations to make a way for the Messiah through sacrificing men, families, tribes and nations.  To prepare for Jesus, the Israeli people were sacrificed.  To prepare for the Messiah's return, millions of Christians were sacrificed.

If the disciples had been united with Jesus and he was able to pave a way for the true family and nation, he would have been able to lay a foundation to save the world then.  Thus, the way of the cross would not have been necessary.

Thus, Jesus did not have a foundation to stand upon in which to sacrifice the nation and church for the whole world.  This led to the second choice of salvation through the cross to await his return to our time.

Jesus' people had a smaller notion than God.

They believed that when the Messiah came, it was to raise their nation to lead all other nation.  They did not think about sacrificing themselves.

Therefore Jesus prayed for a way to sacrifice the nation and people for the whole world. Then Jesus would not have been killed and he would have established God's nation on this earth through his true family. Then Israel would have been the first nation to sacrifice itself for the whole world.

Through the sacrifice of Jesus' body, Israel was lost and Jesus had to find another way to sacrifice his followers for the sake of the world.  Therefore, through many sacrifices of people of Christianity, it prospered when it had the spirit of sacrifice.

When Christianity lost this spirit, it declined and has become absorbed by the secular world.

The current churches try to establish a world of peace, but only center on their own nation, their own religion. This narrow scope will never open the way.  This is why in the last days at the Christ's return, a new spiritual movement whose people are willing to sacrifice for the whole world will grow and prosper.

We live in a world today where no nation is willing to sacrifice itself for the sake of the world.  Therefore, religion must sacrifice itself for a nation, and then that nation must sacrifice itself for the sake of the world.  The world then sacrifices itself for God.

Through this sacrificial spirit, God's ideal world will come about.  If this religious movement is in America, then the movement must sacrifice itself to save America.  This church should not work to multiply buildings, but should do the work to save the nation by sacrificing its own churches.

Through this spirit of sacrifice for the whole, that nation will come to eventually unite with the movement.  Then when this religion unites with the nation, together they must go forward to save the world through sacrificing themselves.

Therefore, without sacrifice, God's will cannot be realized.

We do not unite in this way for just one day or a special church holiday, we must do it for life, but no one likes to sacrifice themselves.  We think that we become less through sacrificing ourselves.  However, in sacrifice our value is not lost.

Sacrifice does not lead to destruction.  Even if one was to die while sacrificing, they will live on in history.  Someone will admire you for your sacrifice.  Jesus sacrificed his life for the world, and two thousand years later he is still remembered.  People of faith should sacrifice the comforts that the body desires to save the spirit.

Destruction came about through the fallen body taking over the good mind with its evil desires.  When our body and spirit become one on the individual level, we take this foundation and then sacrifice for our family.

Throughout history, saints and sages were not welcomed or understood in their time and were seen as complete failures.  Afterwards, they were praised as famous historical figures.  Because of their sacrifice, they did not fail and were honored.

We revere Jesus now as a prophet, but during his time he was rejected by his family, his church and even his disciples did not revere him as the savior of the nation, the son of God.  Jesus had nothing and he left the earth with nothing.  However, Jesus did not sacrifice for his own sake, but for the people and the whole world.

For this reason, Jesus' teachings have multiplied and had such a deep impact to the present day Christianity.  Buddha also went the same course.

When a man sacrifices himself for others, people will come later and bow to him and select him as the central figure.

If the youngest son of a family sacrificed and dedicated himself for the sake of the whole family, then even the father will tell him to be the center of the family. If a man served his friends with his life, they would not want him to leave.  If the man tried to leave, his friends would grab him and ask him not to leave.  

Finally, they would ask him to become their leader. One does not become a good friend without sacrifice, without serving.

The good father, mother, or son cannot be obtained without sacrifice.  A bad mother wants to take everything away from the family.  But if she serves the family and if a friend serves his friends, they will come.  They will also bring all his friends.

If the friend continues to serve throughout his life, such news of how he was as a friend will be spread all over the country and all people will come to him.  We come to destruction when we overcome others,  but the way to prosperity is to serve others.  This is the dividing point between God and Satan.

Egocentric works will fail and public spirited ones will live. 

Through going the way of the public men, we gain the individual, the family, tribe, nation and the whole world without fighting.  But if we can only think of our own self to gain our family and nation, we would have to fight and even if we win them over, they will not last long.

Therefore we cannot but conclude that the teaching of sacrifice is God's. 

Those who deny God say, "Mine is mine and yours is mine".   We must think, "Mine is yours, yours is the nation's, the nation is God's, and God is mine."

Love has the power to make two things one.  If I love God, then God's love is my love.  For example, if people love and respect the president, then they will also love his wife, although she may be uneducated.

The United States was once revered by many other countries, but now because of the immorality America is falling to destruction.  If the United States would serve the world, the world would do its best not to let her be destroyed.

God had raised Christianity to be able to bring His children to the truth in the Last Days, but is lacking in being able to follow the course of self sacrifice.  Therefore, a new movement has come that understands the individual sacrifices for the nation, and the nation for the world.

We must create programs, not to save ourselves, but save the millions of people of America.

This movement will sacrifice itself to save America, and once America is saved, she must serve the world standing on that foundation.

If you were to die while walking this course, you will not go to hell.  God saves His children through the sacrifice of His most beloved ones.  God's chosen ones are called to restore God's true nation.  Therefore, we should go beyond the thinking just for our nation.

Not only Communism, but Democracy is also declining because neither has been able to look past their own national desires.  Through the international weddings uniting former enemies through a Godly marriage, these national barriers are being broken.Through the struggle of Adam's sons, the world became evil.

So, in the last days, three sons must struggle and unite.  The nation that sacrifices the most for the sake of the world, will become the leading nation in the future.

How Will the Unified World be Established on Earth?

Is World Peace Possible?

Everyone has the hope and dream that one day the world will experience peace and the days of war and conflict will be long gone.

Is World Peace possible?

Did God create the world with the idea of unity?

If the earth was not derived from a unified source, then it will never be possible to be unified.  The good news is if it was created from a unified source, then all individuals, families, tribes and nations will be able to be unified.

We find that this world is not unified, that nations are not unified, and tribes and families are not unified. And even this world is divided into two worlds. Even within each nation, there are different polarities, families experience division among members, and the individual mind and body are divided within.

We cannot deny this division.

If this world began from a perfect entity, then why is the world divided?

It is most important to investigate the cause of the division throughout the world on the individual, family, national and world levels.

If God is an absolute god then why does such a divide exist?

We have to conclude that God is not the source of such division in the world.  Then what is the cause?  We must know that the cause of evil was not derived from a good source, then it must be evil.


The Mission of Religion

The mission of religion is to destroy all of the problems caused by evil to bring about a unified world.  The most important thing is to find the root of the cause of these conflicts.

By finding the evil cause in ourselves we can solve all the problems.

The most important thing is to find one person whose mind and body is not struggling with each other and is fully centered and become one with God. Their every action in unity with God.  Have you known anyone who has completely made his mind and body one with his every action centered on God?

If that thought makes you laugh, then this means that no one has been able to attain this state of being beside the Messiah.

Then the most important thing is to find the self which is not divided and does not struggle with evil.  If God exists, we must know that He will show us the way to restore us to our original godly state.  This is the purpose of religious discipline.

A person who is determined to follow God's will, will be taught strong lessons on how to become an ideal individual.

God is on the search for individuals who cannot be destroyed by anyone or anything in this world, no matter how difficult the situation is.  God's champion cannot be beat by anything and can be eternally unified with God.  Throughout the course of history, God seeks such a man.

God's providence was designed to take out such a man among the evil society.  Even though God searches for such a high-quality person, man lives among his family, he lives in the material world and in his nation.

In order for God to restore His nation, His family, His individuals and the material world, He does not in the literal sense take these things back.

Even though God is Almighty, He needs a condition if He is to take things back from the evil environment.  Evil that possess what God wants to restore will try to retain all of these things, therefore, the ways of good and evil must not be equal; they must be different.

If evil goes this way, then God must go the other way.  

If one goes to the right, then the other must go to the left.  All people wish for a unified world of peace, but this is not obtained simply.

Evil wants to go ahead and good wants to go backward.  You as one walking on the path of God's will stands in the central position in the struggle between good and evil.

Which do you think is most serious: the fall of a nation or the fall of one individual.  For man, the worst would be for him to perish.  We all have a slight tendency to not sacrifice ourselves for other people.

We all have the mind to center everything on ourselves and not God.

If we continue this way, then world peace will never be realized.  We must first surpass the obstacles in our mind which try to stand in our way of the path toward God in order to reach the world which our mind wants and desires.



How Will World Peace Happen?

Will we be able to bring about a world of peace through fighting other nations?  Is this the true way to a peaceful happy world?  A peaceful world will not come about through the control of others.

Since God knows this, He goes the opposite way of evil.  God is the first to lead the path toward world peace.  If we go this way, the leader is God, if we go the other way, the leader is Satan.  If God was to go in the same direction, He would destroy all the people who are one with Satan.  Since God wants to save every last child, He goes backwards.
This explains the mysterious ways God asks His prophet to set a condition for Him.  For instance, Noah was asked to place a boat on a mountain away from the ocean.  What seems to not make since outside His providence is a way for God to get only the most faithful to follow His path.

Evil does not come from other-centered motives, it comes from self interest. 

There are two kinds of people.

Evil also wants to make the world one, but through beating other people.  God does not and goes the opposite way.  Evil let man fall and made man deny that God existed.  Adam and Eve thus brought about destruction through uniting with Satan.

The fall began when Satan left the path of the servant and planned everything for his own self.  This initiated evil desire far from God's will.  So through the history of fallen man, he has tried to sacrifice others for its own interest.

When you look at the history of nations and wars, you will see that there has always been a struggle between  where the stronger always sacrifices the weaker. This struggle spread from the individual, family, to the nation and in these Last Days to the world.

Now history is at the stage when the two, worlds, which tried to overcome by sacrificing the other are tired.

The Democratic and Communist worlds want to dominate the world, but both have given up.

These two worlds cannot unify the world.  All people of every nation want to enjoy a peaceful, happy world, but there has not been a way to bring an ideal world.

There are two ways to surpass the obstacles of the past:  jump or go around it.  If a nation places its own interest first, then it cannot jump over the obstacle.  

We can achieve the ideal world with the thought that for the interest of the, whole world, we are willing to sacrifice our own nation.

The Communist world centered around its nation and struggle against the Democratic world could not fulfill her role because she, too, thought of her own interests more than those of other nations.

God blessed America to share its blessing, but instead, it turned toward the nation's own self-interest.

During the Cold War, if Russia had supported the world then Russia and the Communist world would be united.  On the same token, if the U.S. sacrificed herself to share the prosperity of the Democratic world, then she would not have declined.

Just taking a look through history, we see that unless we find those who want to sacrifice themselves for the sake of the whole world, then the ideal world will never be reached.  Is there such a nation in the world willing to sacrifice itself for the world?

Instead, the Democratic and Communist worlds are willing to throw away the whole world just to save and uplift themselves.

When we find such a nation that is willing to sacrifice her country and her people for the establishment of the ideal world, there is hope that we will see the glory of one ideal world.

A sacrificial nation does not exist for her own benefit, but for the interests of the whole world.

God went a different course from these worlds.  God's number priority is to find someone who is completely one with Him and cannot be broken away from Him.  He must go to the position where he can unify the world.  God has been teaching the religious people two teachings: to love God and to sacrifice oneself for the world.

The one who can unify the world must sacrifice himself for the whole world.  Since man is in the evil position due to the fall, he cannot go straight to God, therefore, he must turn around and go back toward the original direction.

The opposite direction from the evil world which religion teaches is to leave the fallen world, his family his material wealth and even his fallen self.  This is how to love God and return to the original position which He seeks.

When man really loves God, then He must love him.  Then as man receives the love of God, he must sacrifice himself for the world.  This is the most important; this is the core of God's providence.
