The Power of Prayer

Through prayer you can receive visions into the future and guide yourself accordingly. You will know what kind of difficulty is coming and how to divert it and overcome. If you know how to steer yourself, then you can do big things, and prayer alone can pioneer such a path.

Prayer is more important than eating.


I go out to nature because it gives me a better environment for prayer, and I love nature for that reason. I love the quiet of midnight. I don't say much about the visions I receive, but if you receive them then don't you think I do, too? That kind of new world can only be reached through prayer. In that position, you can taste love. 

This world is desert-like, but the world created through prayer has a climate where love can thrive.

You must learn to generate your own power.  You should not expect to be pushed and pulled out to your mission.  Be self-propelling.

In order to have this, you must have prayer as your daily diet of life.

Even if people do not recognize your efforts, you must do your duty enthusiastically because you have a covenant with God.  With this determination, day and night you move on without pause.  This is a living testimony.

Each year, this topic of prayer changes in Father's speeches, which shows that we are progressing into a new era.  Through having a prayerful mind, Father knows precisely God's timetable.  This kind of preparation is needed for self-perfection, and you must learn it through the power of prayer.

Do you prayer for His kingdom and righteousness?

Pray that this country can become the center of God's righteousness.  Many fervent patriots have come through this nation, but you must be able to pray with more fervor than any of them.  If you have the determination to care for this country more than God, then this country will prosper, otherwise it will crumble.

You are being led where God desires for you to be.  Obstacles do not matter, the important thing is not in getting there, but getting there in the shortest possible time.  If we are able to go quickly, then there is less danger.  If the process is stretched, there are many opportunities for disaster that we must not allow.

This is, therefore, a critical moment for you and God.  The ability to witness the Completed Testament to 360 homes, or home church, to spread this new truth is a gift to mankind.'  This has never existed in history and will not again in the future.

This is a transitional period; we are entering into a new era, a new plateau and history of faith. 

When you take this gift as your own, you are definitely becoming a true son and daughter of God.

This gift has been freely given to you and is an incredible opportunity.

Your home church area should be the subject of your prayer. 

You should pray for the people in your area with a parental heart, just as your own children who are struggling in hell.

As a parent, your heart should grieve and desire to save them.  If you have not reached this level where you feel you are in a dire emergency, you must open your heart to parental feelings of love toward your people.    If you do not have real love for the people you witness, just push yourself until you do.

No one really has to teach a parent to love his own children.

If you are able to feel that you are a parent to people in your home church, then your love will be the same and no one will have to teach you.

Elementary school takes six years to complete, how much more important is this home church?  You should give your heart and soul for your home church area because this is the best teaching you can receive.

The entire universe is represented in your area.  When you work hard serving and witnessing your home church, God will treat your efforts there as though you had given them for the entire universe.   By serving your area for three years, is the same as serving the universe.  You may be able to do so in six months time.

Home church should be your priority.

You can test this power of prayer: take one person and pray for them fervently, constantly, but do not tell them you are doing so.

When you pray tearfully for this person, they will feel a magnetic attraction to you.

Such phenomenon happen once you adapt this prayerful life.  You may receive a revelation in your prayer that you will meet such and such a person when you go to a certain place.

The power of hypnosis can place someone in a trance like state, but how much more powerful would prayer change lives?  You can mobilize the entire spirit world through your prayer.

There is no limit to the power of prayer.

When you have the right attitude in prayer then miracle after miracle will happen.

The foundation is the most important part of a launch pad. Your prayer is like a missile firing.  When it is time for take off, it should not break under the intense heat and pressure.  When you pray, you must not pray for greed for yourself.

A selfish prayer will be harmful to you.  Public prayer will cleanse you and elevate you higher and higher.

When you live in this high sensitivity to the spirit world, you are able to sense what is about to come.  Your perception will be keen and it will help you prepare for the future.

You are really two people in one.  Your inner man is like a mirror, clean and bright. When the inner and the outer man does not synchronize into oneness, you will feel pain and anguish.  When the two
are perfectly aligned, you then feel joy and power.

Everyday, this inner battle is within you.  Your inner man can tell you about a person like a sixth sense and how truthful they are.

Everyone should experience these spiritual things.

Do not neglect this inner man.  Just like you need to feed and nourish your physical body, you also need to nourish your spiritual body.  When you are working at a higher spiritual level, you are always speaking with this inner man.

Don't pray empty prayers.

A person like this will pray for the nation and the world before they pray for their own family.  God would concern Himself with this person's well-being because he would be concerned with God's well being.


If I only paid attention to my family instead of to the world and God, my family would get sick. I don't concern myself with my family's well-being; I concern myself with the Church and God's work and I know God will take care of them in the meantime. This is the principle of give and take. 

Those who want to do more for others will receive more.

The Principle states that those who want to go down will be lifted up and vice versa.  Now you fully understand the power of prayer.

You should know beforehand, whether the things you do will succeed or fail.

You will be able to feel a pull in the direction of things that will lead to your success and you will be eager to go ahead.

Think of your body as a receiver of the radio.

You should be able to free yourself from thinking that is only centered on you.  Once you are able to free your mind, then it becomes like an open valve.  You have the right to ask for God's power, but only if it is for the sake of righteousness and His Kingdom on earth.  Then God will come down.

Pray then act.

Once you are able to have this attitude toward prayer and live this prayerful life, you will feel different from yesterday and you will know when the power of prayer is in action.

Today is only the beginning.  You can pray and report to God that you are just beginning to live in this daily prayerful life and that you need His help to continue to do so as a frontline soldier.

Make this kind of showdown prayer with God everyday.  This way of praying should become second nature and not forced along the way as a daily habit.

You can then live this way all the time without even being conscious of it.  Let's do it then; take action.

The Current of the Heartistic Tide

Those who are spiritually attuned, their body will know when something undesirable is about to happen.  Everyone has some level of this awareness which we call intuition.  If one has this full ability, they can do world-scale ventures.

Without having this ability, you will lack that protection because the world is wicked and ready to destroy anything heading toward the mountain of good.

We should be aware of the existence of the heartistic tide and make use of it.  We should work hard to bring a righteous prayer to God.

Do we live this way of life as people of faith?

The tide of the heart circles around the world daily up and down; are you on this heartistic tide or apart from it?

How do you know if you are living in the realm of heart?

If our spiritual lives fall away, we become stagnant and rotten.  Our spiritual life will reduce to nothing focusing on the external way.  If you live in the realm of heart, you start from your own town and on that heartistic tide you go around the world and come back.  Wherever you go, people will recognize you.

We must become a subjective entity and not be pulled away by influences of the world.

In Jesus' time, there was no one who understood his value, yet now, there are shrines and holy grounds for wherever he visited to this day.   Is this a place of shame or pride?

Because of the heartistic tide, people respect it and are drawn to it.  Everything that the Messiah does is not done half-heartedly, but with a saturated heart, with high intensity.  Including fishing.  Nothing brings more high intensity as much as deep-sea fishing.

The heavenly fate draws all of those who follow the ocean to follow the Messiah.  Yet, after three days at sea, they complain like those toward Moses in the desert.  Women wouldn't want to go near the boat.




Father's Investment

Father invests hours and hours of time giving these speeches to his members.  Then the members might complain that he should shorten his speeches.  But father's heart is to give one more word, because within that context, a whole new life could start in one person.

Father believes that if there were no clocks, then he could speak all day pouring out his heart and spirit and get away with his half-day speeches.

In the dispensation and in the world of heart there is so much to say. 

It does not take hours and hours to arrive at the conclusion of his speeches.  It can be done in five minutes or even in just three words.  Wah, wah, wah - end of speech.  So, plant a lot of heart wherever you go.

For all of the work, people and money that Father had invested, America is indebted to him.  He used to pray for the sake of America, but he doesn't do that anymore.  If he was to continue, America would need more time to repay back their debt to him.  Now his time is spent in dedication for the sake of liberating North Korea and the unification with South Korea.

Kim Il Sung was the head of Satan doing his works.  Father embraced Gorbachev and Kim Il Sung for the purpose of God's dispensation.

We should either be pushing or pulling the heartistic realm of heart.  We should not go around it.  This is where heaven begins.  Without the heartistic tide traveling, heaven will not begin.  The Messiah makes this happen.


The salty water has to come to the fresh water. Salty water makes a salt-water atmosphere; fresh water makes a fresh-water atmosphere. A hot tide makes a hot atmosphere. Otherwise, we cannot build heaven on earth. we cannot influence the atmosphere. How can we make that atmosphere? Father made that atmosphere for the first time, in reality.


The Bible states that God made the animal world and then made man.  After that, God composed the horizontal world, and then everything was finished.  Man connected upward and after that he filled up outer space.

These are two worlds.  Man has dual characteristics.  One, is the horizontal characteristic; the other characteristic is the vertical characteristic.  When they combined, the make dual characteristics.

The purpose of the vertical is the public purpose which becomes bigger and bigger.  The horizontal is the individual purpose.  These are the dual purposes.  The vertical is the closest to God's characteristics.  The vertical represents the invisible mind.  The horizontal way represents the body.

The mind stands on the public side every time.  The self-centered mind follows the body.

The true mind accuses the fallen body's motives and ways.  The fallen body does not follow the commands of the pure mind.  Isn't this the case in society today?  Everything in society is geared toward stimulating the fallen flesh.

This means that our original God-given mind is losing every time in the battle.  Isn't this true?

Heaven is this way.   God is in heaven, yet, He investigates the earth, continually forever.  Even after humanity abandoned Him after the Fall, He took responsibility.

So, when you are tired, it is not the mind but the body that takes that bad position.  The mind immediately commands the body to not be tired.  The mind does not sympathize with the body's tiredness.

Every night at midnight, your body is taking action in a bad way.  The mind wonders why the body is getting tired and commands it to stop doing it.  But the fallen, sinful body doesn't follow; it doesn't hear the mind's commands.'

The fallen body goes in another direction than the mind; the body follows Satan. 

You lose every time the mind follows the dictates of the body.

This is the mind's direction: to make the vertical direction; the steep direction.  Therefore, no matter how badly the body behaves, the mind should take action in the opposite direction toward the heavenly way.

The mind's place is vertical - all of the time.  This is the mind's original place.

This is how the mind has the strength to command the fallen body.  Religion understands this principle and accentuates people of faith to subjugate their fallen body's actions which follow the evil mind.

The body has the purpose for only the individual's welfare.  On the other hand, the mind is the public purpose.  Taking the bigger way every time.

For instance, your mind or conscience tells you to live for your family, not for yourself.  The family lives for the tribe.  The tribe lives for the sake of the country and its inhabitants.  Then the country lives for the sake of the world until the world lives for the cosmos and the cosmos for God.  Everything gets bigger and bigger by living for the greater purpose.

In the center of all of these levels is love.  Everybody wants to connect to the place of bigger love.  The individual invests in the family which is the bigger realm than its smaller self.  This is the ultimate point of love. Isn't this the ideal that every man wants, his final purpose for which he was created.

We know that we were created to live for love.  This is our original purpose.  No one can deter the person who goes this ultimate way.  Actually, all of humankind wants to go that same way.  All humans in the past and future desire to go this way.

Even those in spirit world and the earth go this same way.  Both centering on the desire to live the life of true love.  Without true love, you cannot make completion.  The human being must connect through action; this is the heartistic current.  That current is the connection with God.  This action is love.

That is the tide, or current.

This is how God purpose the world: we should be born in love, live in love and die in love, and go over everything in love.  Through this condition, I create this tide of heart.  From this moment on, I will live like this.

All people of faith should live in this way.  Those who pledge, please raise your hands.  Even if you cannot fulfill, by making this pledge, spirit world will assist you in accomplishing this goal.  Let us dedicate our prayers.

March Forth, Heavenly Soldiers!!

The Bible warns to be careful in every moment because the devil is couching at the door waiting for you to make a misstep and let him in to destroy your life.

Where is the boundary of Satan?  We must be able to reanimate the people of this nation.  In this way, we please God who is longing for his children who are lost.  Our point of victory must be there.

This is similar to a rope in tug-a-war with you pulling the rope on this end and whoever is on the other side will be dragged toward the winning side.  On one end, there are the presidents of major companies and famous political figures and behind them are thousands of people connected to them. You can wind the winch and those on the other side will be pulled toward you.

If you can win and pull a college dean or university president to your side, behind them will be even more top-level people pulled along.  You must think as the Bible states that you are fisher of men that have cast anchors and hooks to grab hold of men and pull them toward heaven.

The most important thing in this struggle is to stay strong and never waver. This is where the boundary point of victory lies.  It is right here in front of us.  There are many who are so weak that they can be easily persuaded and compromise their value by the opposition.

When you are active, you seem to be strong, but at times you are defeated. 

We all have hooks that the opposition knows about and pulls them in order to pull you in the wrong direction.  Our innermost self compares our situation to those of our friends.  If we are running forward on a mission and see one of our old friends and see that they are dressed nicely and have great success in a worldly way, we will in that moment lose courage to go forward as we look at our humble dress and lifestyle.

When you work hard at your mission witnessing in the streets or fundraising and doing many activities many people will say that it is no different from being a beggar.  But Heaven knows.  Before this work, you didn't dream about doing such things.

Wait until ten years later, and we will be far excelling those people. If we endure for ten more years, we will soar up and be conspicuous in the human scene, while other people will decline and be corrupted.

The fruit of the labor will be evident in the future.

In other words, even though it looks like working hard for God's providence may seem like you are defeated, but you will win the game.  Along the way you may be screamed at, called many vile names and even be spit in the face, but you must endure. You must have the resolve in those moments that you will have success in 10 years and if not 10 years you will see success in 20 years. You can scream this out in your mind when you face such difficulty.

"I took every rebuff as a challenge and because of the opposition coming from those people I had more courage to fight against them and win over them. I would sometimes feel like retreating, but because of the enemy, because of the opposition, I could never retire. More than anything else, the vow I took before God is always with me. When I took my oath before God, He was confident I could do the job. I took the vow when I was at the zenith of my zeal and enthusiasm."

Even though you know that God is there helping you out, you must be confident to think that without God's help you are going to carry out the mission.  When you encounter hunger, think of a situation where you could be more hungry and then you can endure the hunger and continue on the path.  When faced with these situations, you can look at those who are in a more poor condition than your own.

In face of any difficulties, you must be able to say, "Come what may, I can have my courage doubled and tripled in face of more difficulties. "

When your dignity is offended you must imagine a time when you were more offended and degraded.  If you can realize a purpose in five years time where it took others 10 years, then you are determined to endure the double efforts.  If you want to shorten the time period first imagined, then you must triple, and quadruple the effort to compensate for that time.  You should be ready to do twice as many obstacles and encounter twice as tough situations if you are going to shorten the time.

Youth is a dynamic power. 

If your friends, relatives, neighbors, and nation oppose you and are against you, you can cut them all off and do the divine job and fight.

Set the goal that you can be triumphant to the point where God cannot not follow the difficult path.  At every moment of our lives, the question where do you put that goal?

For instance, if you have to do your work at a certain time, but you determined to get up two hours early and you arrive an hour early, some would feel that while waiting they will doze off. If those people are situated where they have to fight through a fierce battle without sleep, it would mean defeat for them. This is the point that will determine your success or failure.

Victory means that you have more power over other people.

Every moment of our lives, where there's any event, you will determine for yourself whether you are going to be victorious or defeated.

Whenever there's a new event in your nation, you must be resolved to participate in it and win over other people, to be patient, and to be confident. You must throw away the old way of thinking: "Well, God is there, and if I pray hard, He will help me. "

God does not work in this way and it will not happen.  You must make the effort to do your utmost best.  When you work hard toward the goal, for the part that you cannot carry out, you can pray before God and then He will help you.

This is the way to pray before God when there is a difficult task.  Resolve to accomplish the goal even if you might not be able to get adequate sleep.  If you were to start getting sick, you can say that this was happening because you wished it, then the disease would be fearful of such a person and back away.

When  you endure many sleepless nights, your brain may become brighter and brighter.  Have the insight to pierce through the future and determine with your utmost as this is what most people do not do.

From this viewpoint, can you really be resolved to take responsibility for this nation? You must beat against the nation, until the nation resounds and echoes to the call. Stir up the nation so that you rouse the Christians. We are not talking about shooting your enemies with pistols.

Shoot the hearts of the people with love.

The question is, where is the boundary point of our victory?

If you are as confident as that, and if a man of that confidence and a woman of that confidence were to be marry, they would find perfect balance in their marriage.   When you are blessed in holy matrimony you shouldn't think that your happiness as a family will be everything.

It is the woman's way of life to feel happy deep in her heart after actually making her husband happy first.

Your job is to make your spouse happier than you, without his or her being conscious of it.
 

After thinking of the husband's happiness first, then the wife can express her happiness.  There was a married couple where the woman expressed her happiness everywhere and would even scream she was so happy.  After awhile the husband grew to dislike her.

It is natural for a married woman to want to be well dressed and have the best jewelry because she is married, but before doing that, you should want your spouse to glitter and shine.  This is the way a couple helps one another in a partnership.

Divine Principle ideology profess that when you are made a couple, you are one, and with the magnetic power of love created between the two, they can attract other families and end their disunity.  This is the way to win more and more families to God's side.

The ideal couple will have such influence more not when they are living the luxurious life, wearing glittery clothing, eating the best foods or driving the best cars.  The ideal couple that lives in poor conditions that experiences misery and many difficulties yet they still shine, other families will know that you have an ideal family life.

Your exemplary family should be like a lighthouse for those in the corrupted world where families are disunited.  Your family must become the norm for corrupted families. Your family should become the norm for the secular family.

You must never complain about your spouse, saying, "Oh, she's an Oriental girl, she's shorter, she's not beautiful, she's not smart," because God chose her. However ugly he or she may be, whatever defects he or she may have, in God's eyes he or she has a certain place.

When one lives this type of life working hard for the mission moving from place to place, they will see that there are not too many places that are tidy and clean.  By living in such ugly and dirty places, it is to one's advantage and practical  to have an ugly spouse rather than a glamorous, tidy girl who might not like the place.

If there is disunity in the family, everything will be shattered into pieces and there is no way to influence other people.  There is a saying "How can one rule the nation if they cannot keep their own household in order?".

Next comes the church as a whole. The Unification Church is a unified family with couples of various types and nationalities.  If one thinks that it is easy to unite all the various couples, they are deceiving themselves.

You deal with different faces and different backgrounds.  There is Oriental, Occidental, black, white and yellow where there are vast differences not only in culture but ideals.  So, what is the secret to handle this group?  Money, power?  Is this an everlasting way to unity?  Then what?

It is the power of True Love.

7 Days of Holy Sex Day 4 - Benefits of Waiting for Marriage

Contrasting the Different Standards of Sex Morality

To give credence to the timeless ethic in the present world, the prevailing permissive sex mindset needs to be refuted with arguments based upon sound reasoning and contemporary research. 

Let us consider and address five major myths of the old “free sex” perspective in this speech given by Dr. Reverend Sun Myung Moon:


1. Is Sex a Need?

"The first myth is: Sex is a need and an entitlement. All the other assumptions of the permissive ethic rest upon this premise.


This idea is central because it carries a certain moral imperative: If people need sex to be physically and mentally healthy, then it is unfair and uncaring to deny them. Marital status, age and other concerns are simply not as important.

More specifically, if a person claims he needs sex while the other simply does not want it, then there is moral pressure on the second person to yield to the first, since needs have priority over mere desires and having sex is after all always 'healthy' and 'normal'.

The past situation of sexual aggressors having to justify why their partners should give in is reversed. Now those who want to resist sexual advances have to explain themselves. Still, the belief in this need means single people and even children resist less; they pursue earlier sexual involvement and in more insecure situations than they would otherwise be  inclined to do.

Yet there obviously is no such sexual 'need'. There is not a shred of scientific evidence that sexual inactivity in itself is a threat to well-being.

No one has ever received medical treatment because of celibacy.

On the contrary, people are treated for sexual excesses and sometimes directed to be abstinent as therapy.

The real need being confused with sex is for genuine love. Though the body may desire only another body—any body—the heart needs to connect with another heart, to love and be loved as a unique, irreplaceable person.

This is essential for mental and physical health. We know, for example, that infants perish for lack of attention and touch from caregivers, and spouses often die of a broken heart soon after their partner passes away. The specific need of adults is for the experience of marital love. The human spirit craves marriage for its many emotional and spiritual rewards. Sex is only one dimension of what is actually needed and desired.

This belief in sexual need and thus entitlement is a dogmatic notion arising from distortions of Freud’s ideas and the discredited claims of Alfred Kinsey.

Research in the United States, for example, shows three percent—representing hundreds of thousands—have remained celibate throughout their lives and millions worldwide have waited to begin sexual involvement until age thirty and beyond with no proven ill effects. 80 percent of Americans under age 60 have had either one or no sex partner in a given year. Among married couples, infidelity is the great exception.

When opportunity for sex is not available for long periods of time as in military service, interest in it has been known to drop off to zero. 

Many married couples find themselves needing to schedule time for lovemaking because they otherwise become so busy they forget.

This is hardly on par with the need for food or sleep, which asserts itself within a matter of hours if neglected and becomes stronger, not weaker, the longer it is deferred.  Some experts question if sex is even a drive at all since it is so dependent upon learning and will.

“Sex is a natural urge, but the role it plays in your life and the importance you attribute to it . . . is a matter of free choice,” concludes psychologist Peter Koestenbaum.

Sex researchers Masters and Johnson have stated, “In one respect, sex is like no other physical process . . . [it] can be denied indefinitely, even for a lifetime.”

Sexual abstinence then, rather than signifying a state of unhealthy frustration, can simply represent a redirection of erotic impulses. This is obviously what most people must do most of the time. Even when a partner is available as in marriage, circumstances such as illness, work, pregnancy, menstrual cycle and the demands of parenthood dictate a large measure of self-control.



Sex as a “Need” is Oppressive

The belief that people need physical gratification more than they do creates its own oppression.

Sexual compulsion and exploitation become much easier; it is harder for the immature and the weak to refuse their own or someone else’s sexual “need,” as mentioned above.

In addition, single and married people and even children begin to doubt themselves if they do not desire sex as much as they hear they should.

Thus the vulnerable push themselves into sexual involvement earlier and in more insecure situations than they would otherwise be inclined to do. Teenagers may speak of their virginity as something they are relieved to get rid of, as if it is a burden.

How tragic that innocence and the authentic need for quality and committed love are so often sacrificed at the altar of a trumped-up physical “need.”


2. Is One Partner for Life Unnatural? 

The second mistaken notion that follows from the first is:

Having many sexual partners is only natural.

This argument is made on the basis of comparing humanity to animals, particularly nonmonogamous primates, and speaking in evolutionary terms about the need to propagate the species through many sexual liaisons. Thus monogamy and marriage are seen as almost impossibly difficult, even contrary to our genetic makeup.

Yet humans differ from these and other animals in obvious ways.

First, sex among animals is a seasonal matter driven solely by instinct for the sake of reproduction. However, men and women enjoy physical union far more frequently than any animal and for far more reasons than reproduction alone.

This freedom implies certain important responsibilities, as outlined above, as well as certain higher capacities that animals do not share that allow us to fulfill those responsibilities. Second, animal coupling can be indiscriminate in regard to the partner.

In contrast, we are spiritual beings with a compelling need not only for meaningful and lasting love but also to be loved as a specific and whole person and to return love in the same way.

Third, human offspring require many years of parental investment to thrive, unlike primates. Moreover, the quality of the love that spawns and sustains a child affects his resilience and capacity for making a quality contribution to society.

Giving birth to children that are not properly cared for does not make sense even from a materialistic species-survival mentality.

Therefore, what is truly natural for men and women to do is bond for life to care for each other and the children they produce. Even many other mammals do that, too. The human tendency to get involved in temporary sexual liaisons is the result of immaturity, bad conditioning and fallen nature—especially the tendency of the body to dominate the mind— not God-given or even evolutionary traits."SMM

Conscience Part II

The previous post spoke about how when we follow the original mind or the conscience, it will open up our spiritual awareness and give more infinite power and protection.  First we must decide, preferably at a young age, in which direction we are headed and where we would like to go.  This continues the list to help us awaken our mind and follow the way.


4) You Must Move Centering on the World of Heart


Your mind can settle in the deepest part of self when you are in the state of calmness or meditation.    You should be able to release and let your mind go into that part of yourself.  When you wake up in that deep place and do not let outside thoughts deter you, you can become sensitive.  When your spirit is concentrated, everything will be opened up.

Therefore, cultivating one's mind and prayer are necessary.

Just offering your devotion once is not the true way.  You should pray and sincerely devote yourself everyday - constantly devote yourself.  Even a good knife must constantly be sharpened or what will happen?  Just as you must always keep a knife sharp, you must keep yourself sharpened when you are upset or become angry.  This is the problem.  You must be able to grab and hold this calm place in your mind.

Again, we must determine our direction and should not have aimless thinking or start frivolous relationships which can hinder our path forward.  Catch this sense of direction and centered on this, follow that direction.  There is only one direction to follow.

Thus, you should always be prepared for this eventuality and maintain yourself properly.  Create a driving force that can support your goal every day.

You will not be able to do this alone.

At the age of 18 you were able to find out who your inner man was and it is easy to become subconscious about yourself.  For this, you need the strength of friends, teacher or the power of God to make it through these revelations of yourself.


"I am also very serious when I am about to carry out a global project that goes beyond my ability. When greater ability is required in order to do something, the problem is where to get this from. If I cannot bring it, I have to retreat -- but I cannot do that.

Therefore, prayer is needed. We need God. We need the world of heart. The world of love is endless, no matter how much you may draw upon it.

The world of material will end - the worlds of knowledge and power will perish, but the world of heart continues forever. 

Therefore, you have to do things centering on the world of heart.

When you go into the center of the world of heart, the world of heart is moving up and down automatically, like someone breathing.

Did you know that the earth is also breathing?

The earth is breathing in and out so that the diameter of the earth is expanded up to almost one meter. Through that, the earth is adjusted. The spherical shape of the earth is maintained. For this reason, the world of heart moves up and down centering on an axis. It is moving.

Every existing thing therefore forms an oval shape. Do you understand? Thus, you go into the very center of the mind and heart. Infinite power is transmitted from there. So, if you make an angle of exactly 90 degrees, infinite power will flow through that right angle.

Therefore, you should go out and cultivate your spiritual aspect. By devoting yourself you will experience the deep spiritual dimension in all aspects of life. Why? Because you need a source from which to gain an infinite driving force throughout your entire life.

By offering sincere devotions, you can find the way in which you should go, as it is within your original mind.


Hone Talents and Gifts

If you have an artistic disposition, the image of objects should float before your eyes like the reflection in a mirror. Do you understand? The picture is already created in your mind. This is a talent you were born with. You should therefore follow the direction that your talents indicate. If you ignore your innate gifts, everything will fail. It's serious, isn't it?

Hyo Jin (Father Moons eldest son) says to me, "Dad? It's strange, but I am hearing music at three o'clock in the morning." He was born with such a gift. In the same way, everybody has a talent in some field. These gifts are innate. As you were born with such gifts on a good foundation, then if you use them limitlessly they will infinitely develop.

It was the same with Ye Jin (his daughter) when she was a child. During her school days she would say, "Dad, it's strange." What was strange was that when a fellow student lost something she would come and ask Ye Jin to tell her where it was. Then, Ye Jin would tell her where it was in her house, and she would go home and find it there. Can that be explained? She always knew.

Among our own children, Eun Jin also has spiritual ability. She said, "Mom? I was just about to go somewhere, but my mind kept telling me to go back. Why is this?" Someone is giving her this information, teaching her, "This person you are to meet is no good."

She receives this spiritually. Some kind of magnetic activity is occurring. You have such ability within yourself, but if you are not perceptive or sensitive to its direction problems will result.

Ye Jin, In Jin, or Eun Jin might say, "Dad? It's strange; someone's going to make a mistake." They said that they had a bad feeling. They knew it through a premonition. When they planned to go somewhere, they already knew intuitively whether it would be good or not.

When the person with whom you have made an appointment to meet seems to be bad person, you should certainly either go late or early. Before going there, you have to fight spiritually. Then, you can avoid a bad situation and control it. Therefore, a life based on the path of truth is very important. Because you have control over such things, you can evoke the self-control that can prevent and avoid bad fortune." SMM




5) The Life of the Original Mind



"I was already serious at the age of 16. Although I might have made a plan to go somewhere, sometimes I did not actually go if I felt I should not. If I were to have gone, an accident would surely have occurred. It is also the same today. For this reason, I could survive until now in this world which is full of many enemies.

Do you know how many people have been trying to kill me?

You have to think about that. The greater a person becomes the greater the difficulties become. I must discern the way to go to overcome those difficulties. If someone says, 'Teacher? Something terrible has happened'?

I already know about it. If they say, "A problem has occurred," I already know. Without such ability, you cannot be a great leader in the future. To do so, you have to think in three dimensions rather than just two. A two-dimensional plane can be projected infinitely into a three-dimensional space.

No matter how great a person may be, if he is not conscientious and comes in front of me, he will be completely overwhelmed as a result. No explanation is necessary; as his mind becomes absorbed and completely overwhelmed, he will take his proper position in front of me.

His mind already knows Reverend Moon. You don't know Reverend Moon, do you? Do you really know Reverend Moon? You may think that I am just the person who blessed your father and mother. However, Reverend Moon is not merely that person. Out of billions of people in the world, the most famous name historically speaking is none other than Reverend Moon.

Did you know that?

Of course, you need the abilities that knowledge gives you, but first of all your spirit has to grow up because both the spirit world and the world to come are worlds of truth. We have entered an era in which the computer can completely anticipate the destiny of human life. You have to surpass the computer in intuition and sensitivity.

I was a famous teacher even in Sunday school. I was already famous from that time. When I stood on the platform before Sunday school students for the first time and wept with God's heart, everyone was crying. I had already reached such a stage.

I do not like to read novels. If I decided to write a novel, it would be better than other novels. If I tell a story somewhere, such as in a prison, it will be long enough to make into a long novel. This is because I can see the content of the story spiritually as I tell it.

If the sound of a flute is heard coming from afar, as I tune my mind with the sound, my environment can be harmonized with me.

From a young age, I used to give sermons even while sleeping. Also during my Sunday school days. Sometimes, I would suddenly wake up during my sleep because of the sound of my sermon. At that time, I already knew that I would teach and lead many people on behalf of Heaven in the future.

Whenever I was passing by a church, I would have the desire to go in even if it was just to eat lunch. I wanted to go to the very top of the pulpit and eat there. It was as if my mind already anticipated the future." SMM

  
6) Your Mind is the Closest Teacher

Have you thought that for Adam there was not a teacher to teach him about his future path as the first parent?  There were only the angels of the spirit realm.  The path to return our fallen history toward the original Garden of Eden through salvation and the work of restoration, no one can skip this path.  This is the parent's position.

We are told of the fallen realm of angels whose left their original position who were to save and help Adam and Eve and their descendants.  Because of this, they are not permitted to help the Messiah and instead take advantage and do as they wish.  During this process no one can be trusted, even God cannot treat him normally before he passed certain tests.

Because human beings turned their backs on God, in order for God to believe in humankind, He must also do the same to humankind.

Don't you think that after the fall of the first humans in which he created with His spirit and had an environment to believe in freely, that he could not assume thereafter that He would find one trustworthy soul in the faithless, fallen world?

In order to reach the position where God can trust you, you have to pass through all kinds of tests. I had gone through a series of tests in order reach this position. Because I do not talk about these tests, nobody knows their content. I will not speak about those miserable tests because I do not want them to be recorded.

In order to reach a standard where God can trust you, you have to go through the valley of many kinds of tests.  The Messiah himself went through a series of tests even though he carried God's original bloodline.  These miserable tests should not be recorded or spoken about because such stories should not have existed in the Garden of Eden.

The Messiah has the heart only to pass on the good stories to the next generation that would have existed in the original world.  The bad things of the past are buried within him and digested and leave only the good things behind for the next generation.

"If possible, therefore, I try not to speak about such things as my time in prison. There would be many people who would weep loudly were I to speak about the suffering life of prison. If I spoke about my suffering in prison, people may be shocked emotionally, of course, and may make a new resolution, but that is not what I want. People must make such new determinations according to reasonable principles.

You have to make a determination based on truth rather than on hearing about a shocking situation. You should not decide according to someone else's strong demand, but by your own desire to do so. If you encounter the truth, your mind will be naturally moved."

Therefore, your closest teacher is your mind, and it is more precious than your most intimate friend, your mother, or your father. 

You should be able to consult with your mind where God dwells.  You should be able to reach the point where you are able to listen to the sound of your mind.  Buddha said, ;There is only one person on earth and in heaven.'  Buddhism speaks about reaching self-enlightenment.  If you ask yourself, you can know that God exists within you.  Then there is nothing you cannot accomplish that 'you put your mind to it'.

Your mind is better than a teacher, therefore you should enlighten your mind.  Your mind is your eternal lord.  Therefore, your mind should not be self-centered or selfish, but one that is centered on a public position.



7) A Lifestyle that Resembles the Heart

A person who has a true heart of love, their heart strives endlessly to sacrifice and yield.  It is a heart that tries to give and give again.  A person with such a heart, even if they had 100 million dollars to give out to everyone on the street, they would not be satisfied with giving so little.  They would feel sorry that they could not help all the people of the world.  The heart of love is endless.

Thus, we could never measure the amount of God's heart.  How huge and deep His heart is!  Therefore, people should not be proud of themselves no matter how much they have accomplished.  If you ask your mind it would say, "You should have done more".

People of the secular world seek for recognition and praise.  The mind on the other hand is not like that.  When people yearn to be recognized, then the moment they are recognized everything ends.  Their goal is finished, so when they try to go to the next level, they will face many obstacles.

Why are there so many obstacles?  Because if you are often seeking praise outside yourself, you will come to like this position.  The mind seeks the path of the cross, of suffering.  If you become accustomed to being respected you will have no desire to bear a painful cross.  However, in order to go to the second stage, you must bear the cross.  To bear the cross is a difficult path and our bodies do not want to go in this way opposite of comfort.

Up until the age of thirty, therefore, I always felt hungry. I felt hungry every day. Though I sympathized with hungry people, however, I had to praise that time of hunger. That was a serious time. It was not because of a lack of rice. I went such a difficult way intentionally.

Rev. Sun Myung Moon continues to speak about such suffering he endured with his own cross as the Messiah:

"People who have not fulfilled their responsibility yet cannot take a spoon and eat as they wish. I did not sleep freely before I completed everything, which had to be prepared. In such a miserable situation I could not find room to enjoy time comfortably, because my mind pushed me to do more.

People like myself cannot take a daytime nap. No matter how tired I feel, I cannot take a nap. True Mother told me to sleep more because of my exhaustion, but I could only sleep one or two hours last night.

My mind does not permit me to sleep well. You could say that I am old now and the time has come to take a rest, but I cannot rest. Even though I am growing old, I have to do more than young people do. Because the problems become bigger and bigger, I have to do more and more.

I cannot hand my work over to anybody else.

I will give instructions about everything. I do not give instructions for the sake of it; there is always a spiritual basis to my instructions. Do you understand?

As I proceed with my work, my heart likewise teaches me, through myself, the way to go. My heart already knows it. I might just glance at somebody, but I already know what kind of person he is.

The closest teacher is therefore the heart. So do not let your heart be disturbed.

Do not become troubled. If you trouble your heart, it will make God and me sad. Your heart is the lord in your life. Thus, to make the heart sorrowful is similar to making the lord of your life sorrowful. You should go the way that can make your heart joyful.

When I attended middle school, I cleaned the entire area of the school by myself. Because I wanted to love my school more than any other student, I cleaned the school with the mind to clean on behalf of all the students. In this situation, I didn't want to get other people's help. I wanted to do it alone. I wanted to do it properly.

I therefore sometimes happened to clean somewhere that had already been done. Because I continued to clean all areas, my friends handed over everything to me. My friends said, 'We'd like to do it this way, but because you always do it that way, why don't you do it yourself?' Therefore, in the end, I naturally came to the point of doing it all.

Cleaning time is a good time to enjoy the company of one's mind. To secular people it seems a solitary situation, but it is time to become friends with your mind. After you have done that, sit down and try to meditate; enter the realm of deep prayer and of great depth that others do not know.

When you go to a theater, you may say that the theater is good when it is the theater building that looks good. No matter how good the building is, however, if the play is not interesting you cannot say that the theater is good. The important thing is how much everyone becomes one centering on the play. The depth of a person's character depends on that. The question is to what extent you are leading a life that resembles the heart and is expanding its scope."

Let Your Conscience Be Your Guide

As for you, you were dead in your transgressions and sins, in which you used to live when you followed the ways of this world and of the ruler of the kingdom of the air, the spirit who is now at work in those who are disobedient. 

All of us also lived among them at one time, gratifying the cravings of our flesh and following its desires and thoughts. 

Like the rest, we were by nature deserving of wrath.  But because of His great love for us, God, who is rich in mercy, made us alive with Christ even when we were dead in transgressions -  it is by grace you have been saved...through faith and this is not from yourselves, it is the gift of God-not by works, so that no one can boast. 

For we are God's handiwork, created in Christ Jesus to do good works, which God prepared in advance for us to do.

Establishment of Clear Goals While Young


You should know in which direction you are going in your life. One who does not know what they want to do in their life is like a ship on a voyage, yet does not have its latitude and longitude mapped.

How can one who does not have a blueprint for their life lead it successfully?  When we are in our 20s, this is the best time to invest our energy and heart into establishing precise goals for the future.  Those who have a clear purpose in their youth can possibly become a historical figure or they can leave behind something memorable for the world.

Once you have decided to do something, you have to have the courage to fight to accomplish your goal, no matter what kind of difficulties lie ahead. You should have the courage to digest all obstacles rather than merely to dislike them.

Everything in this world is in competition. You must go the road in which you avoid personal mistakes that lead to your downfall, and don't lose a year or even a month. There is even competition in working out which way to go. If you lose one year, you will not be able to keep up.

Once your goals have been set, you have to make a strong determination and build courage to fight to accomplish your goal no matter what obstacles or setbacks lie ahead.

A person who just accepts his environment and situation will pass away in history.

We must set a goal in our youth how we are to spend the year and follow through to fulfill it.

Imagine you slept for a year and other families had babies and their lives went forward during that time.  They will be one step ahead and it would be hard for you to keep up.  Just the same as an arrow that is shot with the same power.

If one is released before the other, it will reach the target faster.  In order to catch up, one needs to possess many times more driving force in order to regain the ground.  But there aren't such people with that much drive.

Therefore, it is very important to know how to spend one year during your youth. You must set a certain goal and follow through to fulfill it. It is like the dial and compass. 

Before each voyage, navigators must decide which course and direction the ship will set course precisely measuring the settings with a compass.  The propeller must turn once the engine starts; if it turns back on the way, it becomes so much harder.

Once you choose a direction, you should go forward investing your whole energy and heart centering on that direction.  Even if you are at your most tired that you can't hear or even open your eyes, you still must invest your best.

From now on, you should make a clear determination, and uniting mind and body, invest everything 24 hours a day, even during your sleep. 

When you open your eyes when you first wake, you study everything that is related to your goal and make a comparison.  You make your own world in this way dedicating your whole heart and will.  Wherever you go, you should go with a rope that is bound to such a world.  Then you become someone who leaves a mark on the world.

2) Decide Your Direction According to Your Original Mind


The most important time is from age 18 to 24. By the age of 24, you have to have established your life goals. You can know the direction of your life if you cultivate and dedicate yourselves.

The most important time to establish these goals is from 18 to 24, with your life goals established at 24.  When you cultivate and dedicate yourself, you can know the direction your life should go.  However, those whose lives and every action is only centered on their own thinking and not led by God they cannot know a clear direction or path to lead.

Even rats on a ship know when the ship is going to wreck during rough seas.



But people do not know such things. Those who lead a life of faith centered and devoted to pleasing God will have a clearer goal of where they are headed.  You must know where you are going.

"You should know the way to go. Even the ant knows that the rainy season will set in. Have you ever seen ants moving from one place to another in a line? Because you are given to useless daydreaming, you do not know. Not knowing one's own problems is a serious matter. You have to seriously consult with heaven about the problems in your life. You must adapt to your environmental situation. This is your own responsibility.

You have to confer with your deep original mind after discussing with heaven in deciding your special field in life. You yourself know well what kind of talent you have. Then, you have to listen carefully to where your mind tries to pull you.

You have to listen to that. Nobody can pull a ship unless the direction has been decided upon. Therefore, even though someone may pull on you then release you, you have to have your own direction to find for yourself.

Most of you have said that you are going to study business. From my viewpoint, people who are majoring in business are like thieves. You have to find your own way to go. Is it enough just to have money?

No.

There are times when you need money, and there are times when you have to go your own way or a different way as a person. You must therefore decide by yourselves the way to go. Without asking your parents you should decide by yourself, harmonizing, with God's guidance, the essence of your original self deep within your heart towards your future purpose.

You have to decide what kind of person you will be in the future around the age of 18 to 20 years. You must know about this yourself through your prayer and meditation. You may feel you need to enter Seoul National University, but I don't know if that is a good thing or not.

Nobody knows his fate. If you die after receiving your Ph.D., all your efforts over ten years will have been in vain.

Everybody has his inherent talent. Human beings have various unique characteristics. Therefore, people go in different directions within the 360-degree spectrum.

However, if all of you were trying to go the same direction, say, 90 degrees or 60 degrees, it would be a serious problem.

When I studied, my major was electrical engineering. Although I studied science, I knew the way I would go in the future. The reason I studied electrical engineering was because I needed the mathematical ability to accomplish a great task in the future.

In some sense, since electrical engineering deals with invisible things, it is connected to religion. For example, if you look at the world of phenomena, you can know that there is always an electrical aspect to every movement. This means that every action of the universe has something to do with the reciprocity between subject and object.

Then, how is it that a magnet can counter the gravitational pull of the earth? What kind of action does that make possible? The magnet bypasses the earth's gravity with a lesser power. Do you understand what this means?

Therefore, our conscience is the same. Once you are born in this world, the background to your birth is already precisely known. However, you should make the decision about your path by yourself according to your conscience. If you cannot sense or determine this matter, you will not be able to accomplish something great in the future." Dr. Reverend Sun Myung Moon

3) Adjusting to the Direction of the Original Mind

If those of you become those who can fit the substance and essence of the teachings of the Completed Testament age or Divine Principle, everything will go well for you in the future.

Even those who are in their twenties and attending prestigious colleges, in reality they do not have knowledge.  In the olden days of Korea, those who would search the mountains for wild ginseng possessed some sort of spiritual ability or sixth sense.  Through this spiritual "antennae" they were able to find the wild ginseng.


Such things are possible.  Why is it necessary to have this awareness?  With such abilities, we can escape being victimized and we instead gain in a way.  Therefore, it is not a waste of time to seek such a way.

Being born on a strong foundation of your parents' faith, youth should decide by the age of ten or twenty which direction they want to go in life.  When one has such a resolve for their life at a young age, even though you may go in a different direction than you planned, your body will turn towards the proper way.

Everything will be guided.

"For example, although you are sleeping facing the east and thinking to go east the next morning, if it is wrong to go east your body will turn toward the south. Your body itself knows that. It is very sensitive." 

If you do not reach such a spiritual level, you cannot be a great leader in the future.

 We are near the  time when your spiritual level will be evaluated automatically.  Ten people in a village, three people will have spiritual power. They will all know what the others are thinking. Right now is the time to set the right attitude and devote yourself.

If you were born on a foundation of parents that devoted themselves to God's mission and you devote yourself as well, you will be able to clearly make plans for the future through your own deep mediation and prayer at the same level.  This is the normal position. If this cannot be accomplished, nothing will be successful.


If you adjust the direction of your original mind, little by little, your life will enter a narrow valley.  If you go in the northern direction when you are supposed to go in the eastern direction, it will not work.

If you follow the way of the original mind, the universe will show one way to you. That is faster and more powerful than a bullet. 

This is a sense we all should have. When we reach this level, you can speak with your own mind.  As soon as you think about what to do, the answer will come to you immediately.  The examinations questions, the page number to study will just come to your mind and out your mouth.  You can advance to this stage of spiritually.

Don't people at such a stage know the way to go? Because they have clarified their way, all the power of the universe comes to help. When you enter the examination hall, your writing hand and all things will cooperate with you. If this is so, you will be able to achieve something great.

A true person can live based on such a background of power and be supported by infinite power which enables him to go in the direction he is moving.  When he begins to go in the wrong direction, he will come to know this immediately.

The church which teaches the Completed Testament is not the same as the Old and new Testament.  I has a deep and high foundation a framework of great strength.

Everything can be solved once we reach such a spiritual state with your own effort and work.  First, you as an individual must make a decision in which direction you are headed and where you would like to end up.  You know yourselves the best which way this is.

Divine Inspiration, Get It

"Before you dominate the world, first dominate yourself."


Actually, I dedicate this post to an experience that recently happened to me a little over a month ago.  After 35 years telling and writing stories, even becoming a journalist, I received divine inspiration and wrote my book in a 24-hour period. 

When I came across this text for this post, I was able to align myself to God's will as "more than imaginary" things were starting to develop, now are explained to me after reading this.  When it happens, you will know for sure that a good, high-level spirit or angel is guiding you along and it will not be a question. The same for the person God sends you to be the one, there is no question that God is guiding you.  But, with a gift comes responsibility.

When you establish in yourself the proper relationship between your mind as subject partner and your body as its object partner, you become the microcosm that resonates with the macrocosm, the spirit world and the physical world. You stand as the mediator and center of harmony between the two worlds because you have set up that harmony within yourself.

For its part, the spirit world rejoices to find in you a channel to work its will on the physical world. Although countless spirits long to do good works on earth, they require a responsive mediator through whom to act. By establishing yourself in the proper position, centered on God, you can meet the needs of the spirit world and become the focus of its attention.


Spiritual Inspiration and Our Response

Let us take some examples. It is well known that the abilities of psychics vary according to their emotional state and the spiritual environment. In the presence of skeptics, they are often disarmed and unable to show their powers. Healers testify that their healing works best when the patient is open and welcomes the work.

Even Jesus, the greatest of healers, said to the ones who were healed, "your faith has made you well" (Mark j:34), and could not do many healings in the face of pervasive unbelief. (Mark 6:5-6) This illustrates the principle that the subject-object relationship between the spirit world and the physical world is mediated through human beings. Doubt and skepticism block the relationship, and hence block the spiritual work. Faith opens the door for receiving spiritual help.

Spiritual inspiration lies behind the creative work of all great inventors, scientists and artists. In Dr. Sung Lee's tour of the spirit world, he saw spirits working in laboratories creating the stuff of invention that would be communicated to earthly scientists years later. Why is it that so many inventions and scientific discoveries are made almost simultaneously by several researchers in different parts of the world working in isolation from each other? When the time arrives for a new invention to be bequeathed to the earth, the spirit world will work through several channels at once.

Numerous accounts abound of scientists receiving the key to new discoveries in dreams or in flashes of unearthly insight. One celebrated example is the elucidation of the structure of benzene by the German chemist Friedrich August Kekule. He had puzzled for years over how its six carbon atoms and six hydrogen atoms link together. (Ordinary hydrocarbons are built of straight chains of carbon atoms, but a chain of six carbon atoms with the stability of benzene would require fourteen hydrogen atoms).

One night Kekule fell asleep in his chair, and in a dream he saw snakes biting their tails and whirling around like hoops. He awoke and immediately realized that the six carbon atoms of benzene link together in a ring. With that discovery, all the facts of organic chemistry known up to that time fell into place.

Artists, poets and musicians since antiquity have acknowledged the Muse as the source of their creative genius. The words or music just comes to them, as if from a higher source. Take, for instance, this self-description by Mozart:
When I feel well and in a good humor, or when I am taking a drive or walking after a good meal, or in the night when I cannot sleep, thoughts crowd into my mind as easily as you could wish. Whence and how do they come? I do not know and I have nothing to do with it. Those which please me I keep in my head and hum them; at least others have told me that I do so. Once I have my theme, another melody comes, linking itself with the first one, in accordance with the needs of the composition as a whole: the counterpoint, the part of each instrument and all the melodic fragments at last produce the complete work. Then my soul is on fire with inspiration. The work grows; I keep expanding it, conceiving it more and more clearly until I have the entire composition finished in my head though it may be long.
Mozart was graced with the inspiration of music. He received his melodies from the spirit world. Furthermore, he knew what to do with them. He knew what to keep and what to discard, and how to develop them into a composition in accordance with the best of his art. By the time his "soul is on fire with inspiration" he would already be in the midst of co-creating a work of art whose initial seed had come to him as a gift from heaven.
Spiritual Guidance

Spiritual guidance from heaven often arrives cryptic and vague. Even Rev. Moon's directions, which we believe to be accurate in every respect, often are stated in only a few cryptic phrases. How much more uncertain is the guidance through a spiritualist, medium, palm reader or readers of Tarot cards, who has to hazard an interpretation of words and symbols!

The fact is, spiritual guidance must be couched in this way, with meanings hidden in obscure and ambiguous speech. According to the Divine Principle, people must exercise their portion of responsibility to understand the inspiration given from God and the spirit world. We are not meant to be led around by angels-all spiritual guidance is by nature angelic-but to exercise dominion over the angels as responsible agents through our own wisdom.

Otherwise, if spiritual messages were explicit, we would be little more than servants of those angelic beings, only doing their bidding. To give us the dignity of co-creators, God gave us responsibility to chart our own course with limited information, for example:
God could not instruct Cain and Abel on how to properly make their sacrifices because it was their portion of responsibility that Cain make his sacrifice with Abel's help.
God had directly revealed to John [the Baptist] that Jesus was the Messiah, and... he said, "I am the voice of one crying in the wilderness, "Make straight the way of the Lord," and declared that he was the one who had been sent before the Christ. Therefore, John should have realized through his own wisdom that he was the returning Elijah. Even if he not did not realize this fact, since God had revealed to him that Jesus was the Messiah, he should have accepted the testimony of Jesus and, in obedience, proclaimed himself to be Elijah. Our responsibility begins with effort to understand heaven's guidance with a public mind. Any selfishness or conceit may blind us to the will of heaven.
Therefore, when Rev. Moon says not to interpret his directions, he means we should not wriggle out of the path of sacrifice by cleverly reducing Heaven's request into something comfortable. We must anyway interpret what we receive in a cryptic and vague form, but we should do so with a public mind, following the Principle, ready and willing to take on whatever burden may be required. Then we will not go wrong. Our responsibility ends with action. In attempting to carry out a spiritual direction according to the best of our understanding, the direction will often become crystal clear.

All spiritual inspiration goes for naught without the training and motivation of the earthly people to make use of it. Everyone has an occasional flash of inspiration, perhaps the theme for a new song or the idea for a new invention. Usually we don't know what to do with them, so they slip in and out of our heads while we carry on with our ordinary lives. On the other hand, those scientists and artists who received the most exceptional gifts of inspiration invariably knew what to do with them. Because they had trained themselves for many years and had mastered the tools of their field, or because they were at such a high level as to be working on the cutting edge of knowledge, their minds could be responsive to the movement of spirit.

When the inspiration came, they understood its meaning and acted upon it. They had the resources and the motivation to work at turning that inspiration into a physical reality. It is said that invention is five percent inspiration and ninety-five percent perspiration. The spirit world looks for such prepared people to entrust with their most precious knowledge. They want to cooperate with earthly people who will strive every day to bring their spiritual design to fruition in the physical world. Such people will complete the link between the spirit world and the physical world as subject and object partners.

Spiritual Food or Die Trying

I believe every human has once seen or heard the biblical phase, "Man Cannot Live By Bread Alone."  For those who do not know, God's word or law is like food for the spirit or soul of every man giving life.

Since a man, who was created by God's word, fell as a result of losing the word, he must be recreated by the word.

That is God's word of love, God's word of life and God's word of lineage.

The principle law is more precious than anything else. Have you ever thought of the principle being more precious than eating your meals, wearing your clothes, or sleeping? You should have viewed the principle as something absolute, and believed in the principle with a more precious and sacred attention, than anything else in the world; however, we as humans could not live up to this standard. Before God, we should all repent.

We must breathe, spiritually, every day. How do we do this?

Just like you have meals daily, you must connect with God's word. You must place more emphasis on connecting with the word than eating daily meals. You must emphasize the word as most important. Only then will you walk the path to Heaven.

Everyone has to eat breakfast, lunch and dinner every day. However, it is more precious to receive spiritual nourishment, the word of God. The question for your life is this. How much will you nourish and grow your spiritual self, valuing God's word more than your daily meals.

You must understand God's word in your "chest" as soon as you understand it in your head. You also must understand it in your body as soon as you understand it in your chest. Then, you must understand it in your heart as soon as you understand it in your body.

It is no good if you act according to your own regard, while God's word remains only the words that you read. Don't many of us religious do this?  We preach the word to others, but don't fully follow it ourselves?  I'm not talking about hypocrisy, moreso, about how it is oftentimes hard to even recognize that we are not completely following the word because our spirit hasn't matured to what we preach yet.

We must become the manifestation of God's word.  Just as Jesus did. Many will say this is blasphemous to think we can be the same as Jesus.  Then why did he tell us to be perfect like our father is perfect?  Is it possible for fallen humanity to become perfect like Jesus?

Of course it is.  All of God's saints and Jesus gave us the word according to their time to guide us toward perfection.

How do we do this?

God's internal heart must become your internal heart. Namely, you must become the embodiment of your original mind.

We shouldn't feel guilty that we are not like Jesus, that we upset God's plans and stumble along the way.  Every human has an immature spirit that must be nourished and grown just like the human body.  The word is food for our spirit. 

This is why many who read the word and follow it as much as possible without judging others seem to be more stable and grounded in their life.  They are growing their spirit while others struggle throughout their days and seem on the brink of death and calamity all of the time.

Truth must be actualized. The truth should be maintained and perfected in living human beings. Otherwise, the truth may be taken and misused by Satan. Therefore, God does not reveal the new truth through his saints until all required conditions are met and the truth is manifested in reality.

This is why you see a progression of the truth heighten from Noah's time to Jesus's time.

God's word will bring a result of goodness and carry out the grace of resurrection and the grace of recreation wherever it is spread. So you must be people who are equipped with the word and who can liquidate evil, carry out the grace of resurrection, and command the execution of recreation.

Therefore, the place where such people, who are equipped with God's word, live together is the Kingdom of Heaven.

Jesus said to Satan, "It is written: 'Man shall not live on bread alone, but on every word that comes from the mouth of God.'"(Matthew 4:4) This is very real. Has God's champions lived until now because they labored? Or have they lived because of money? It is neither. They have lived by holding on to God's word.

God works through levels and stages - growth stages.  Everything in creation grows through stages.

First, is the era when you believe in God' word. Second, is the era when you practice God's word. Then, last is the era when you live your life -- your whole life -- centered on God's word. You will enter the era of living life. In order to transform this world into the Kingdom of Heaven, each of these steps should be followed faithfully. We will develop in the order from the era of faith, to the era of practice, and finally the era of living life.

The spirit world is a place where people live their lives centered on God's word. Since every action in your daily life is in accordance with the word, you must be disciplined here on earth. In other word, if you dislike the word of God, you should not eat your meal. You must enjoy and taste the spiritual nourishment more than your meals. Since the word is the eternal spiritual nourishment, you must be trained to develop the taste for the spiritual meals that last forever, while you live this limited earthly life.
