Heaven is the world of living for the sake of God

“If I say that heaven is empty, people will think I am demented. But Jesus could not enter heaven. You cannot go there alone. Our original ancestors should have grown through adolescence, established the ideal of love in which God dwelt, become parents and bequeathed the seeds of true love.

“Then the first place they would have entered would have been heaven. But up until now, there have been no parents embodying God's love, who were able to leave the seeds of true love.”

Adam and Eve did not leave such a glorious foundation to have such descendants.  Thus, heaven is empty.
“I have been going this way, enduring persecution for forty years, because I too am greedy to grasp the line of love that leads to the global heaven.

"This was so I could grasp the line of love beyond the individual, family, tribe, people, nation and world. Then, with this in my grasp where will I go?

“After finding the love line of the world, we must go back to our hometown because we have received many blessings and succeeded in life. Shouldn't we go to our hometown and save the unfortunate people there?”


The way to heaven is opened by loving your brothers as God does. You are trying to follow me, but while keeping such a heart you should strive to reach out and bring your brothers with you.

We can conclude that the one who teaches the highest, quickest and best way to go to heaven is neither God nor me, but your brothers.

People of faith scream out about going to heaven, but can people just automatically go to heaven without encountering it first on earth?

In order to enter heaven on earth, you have to go through the law of love.

A family that has many children can restore many sins and the greater the additional cross of loving God’s Kingdom.

A family has many children because they have many responsibilities for the sake of the kingdom.  Children will be born in this family who can inherit good fortune in the generation to come.
What kind of person can enter heaven?

The person who can enter heaven is the one who is one with God’s mind.  They should center on God to the point when God works on His will that person should be in harmony with God’s mind for eternity.

This harmony should not last for just ten years, but eternally align to the eternal God.

How can we find unity with God and be like God?  In order to be His son, you should not appear to be a sad person.  Heaven is established from removing the satanic lifestyle and denying everything that is related to his will and thinking.  Futhermore, we should eliminate him.

To enter heaven, a person must not sin, must receive God's love directly.

A person who can unite completely with God and eliminates Satan, does not need a savior because they will be directly linked to God.

Only when a person such as this goes to heaven can a peaceful world be established.

The future descendants will unite this world and all heaven.  God, the first one, and these descendants are connected by the family.  Not the nation or individual.

When you go to heaven, no one will recognize you because you are an American and you will not be rejected for being from a poor nation. Only the family that can exhibit a true family will be acknowledged. This is the formula.

The warehouse where the fruits of such true families are stored is heaven.

You must practice a life of attendance before attending God.

Those who wholeheartedly attend God while on earth go to heaven.  This is our destiny to follow the course that advances toward the world of heavenly purpose.

You cannot enter heaven without being joined in heart.

Heaven is the original nation, the which can have dominion over the whole of humanity.

This nation had the original godly nature, not the fallen nature of today.  

Only people who have a deep bond of heart can posses such a nation.  Christianity deals with heart.  God is creating a foundation where we share our heart beyond our personal circumstances and live for others.

What kind of place is heaven?

Is heaven for those who just want to seek blessings?  No, it is for those who prepared themselves attending God with their whole heart while on earth.  They leave their life of attendance as their legacy and continue to push forward even if they were to die in the process.

It is where you can take pride in what you prepared during your life on earth, and where you take pride in your life of attendance?

We should think seriously about the importance of how we should live from now on in this life of attendance.
Dr. Lee Sang-hun talks about the reality of the spirit world.  He saw heaven and said it is bright wherever you go.

Heaven is where God's light of love shines into all  corners of the universe, and all creation within its bosom. 

If we are liberated from Satan’s hold and let go of all their resentments, we should shout out for liberation!
To enter heaven, you must be united with God and the Messiah of the Second Coming’s true love.

Now that the True Parents have emerged and restored the fallen act of the first parents on earth, those related to children who are born from God’s lineage can go to heaven.

Up until this era, no one has been able to live such a life and go to spirit world.  Therefore, heaven is empty.

Even one who goes to church service for a hundred years, but they have a self-centered mind, they can never enter heaven or salvation.  A person who centers everything on him or herself has no value.

What kind of person is a true person?

Only the one who invests all of themselves including is own life for the sake of other people can live continuously in the realm of God’s love.

The great people of history and saints lived in this way.   This is the way we were all meant to live.

God is the high pressure air and when we become humble as low pressure air of the nation, you are the best patriots.  Everybody will pay respect to you, including the president.  How do you become the lowest pressure air; go live for others; serve others to create low pressure air.

We know the core beliefs of communism and democracy.

What is Unificationism? It is the harmony of everything through the power of love.


My children know the universal truth and they pray according to it. You, too, know what to pray for. Then God will heed your prayer. Otherwise, your prayers are just mumbling and bumbling-beating around the bush, in God's opinion. People say many things about me, but one thing is absolutely true, I am the one religious leader who will make you suffer the most! 


You may protest to Father's instructions, but this is why he pushes us out to suffer for the cause.

If you are able to work harder than everyone else, with a loving heart of suffering for the sake of the family, even your parents will come and bow down to you and thank you from the bottom of their heart.

Through living that way, you become the child of God.

When you are truly one with God, living with Him, you attain God's position in your family.  As members that understand Unification Thought, you shoulder the worst problems of the United States with a loving heart, then the entire country will eventually bow down to you.

This is heavenly law.

You become the patriots of patriots when you live this way.  But in order to become that standard, you must suffer for the sake of the nation, with a loving heart more than anyone else in history.

There are quite a number of patriots in every country, but only a few saints. 

The realm of the saint is different from that of the patriot: he works for the universe and for God.

There are three levels of spiritual advancement: children of filial piety, or good members of the family; patriots; and saints or holy people.  How high is Father's ambition for the members?

He isn't just teaching merely how to be children of filial piety, but how to be saints.


I am ambitiously seeking to take on the worst problems of the universe, asking to bear the universal burden. Is that good? People have had high ambitions and have tried to establish Utopian ideals, but no one has been able to accomplish them.


Why haven't we been able to bring about a better world of peace?

Father sought out to understand the greatest problems in the world.

God's worst headaches are the expansion of communism, the rapid decline in religion and the degradation of the youth and collapse of morals in the nation.  These are the major problems of the world that have to be tackled.

God has been working day in and day out through people of faith to solve these problems.  Father volunteered telling God not to worry that he was going to take away His heavy burden and solve the problems for Him.  He came up with a source and method with the quality of hope to unify the world and establish a true Utopia.


This was the motivation behind the International Conferences for the Unity of the Sciences. God's original plan was for people to be perfected within approximately 20 years. I am thinking that if I lead these scientists and eminent scholars for 20 years, they will have reached a pretty good level. Every year they give their unflagging attention to absolute values. When they could find no answer to a certain question, they decided to ask me about it!


Father had many accusations and criticisms thrown at him, but he continued on moving forward able to digest anything that came to hinder his mission.  We are engaged in a war against communism, confronting face to face.

He is opposed by many established churches in the Catholic and Christian communities, but he just tells them that they are not able to digest him and they need him if there is any hope for the future of the world to become the ideal world God envisioned in the beginning of creation.

Father was not only able to digest opposition along the way, but he created a logical explanation for all these phenomena without any hazy areas.


I can be calm even in the midst of suffering. If I am sentenced to prison and have to face hardships, I am filled with peace even as I enter jail. I can sleep well, eat well, and even digest sand if necessary. There is never a cause for worry once you know universal truth. I am absolutely confident of my destination, the heavenly world, and I want to take as many people along as I can. I can invite you to accompany me without any doubts, since I know our goal and destination.



To the degree that I am a perfect minus to God, I am a perfect plus to you. Whenever you create the perfect minus position, I will be with you.

The Unification Church is grounded in the truth of this principle. We see throughout history that any new truth that emerged and outshone the current truth that the other one would fade away.

Unless there is a greater truth that emerges higher than the Divine Principle, there is no way anyone can push us back or put us on the defensive.

We should be the ones resolved to suffer more than anybody else.  The principle does not change whether you have a Ph.D or are a famous actor or actress.

I am setting a new tradition, and those who give themselves to the best of their abilities for the sake of others with a loving heart shall form the mainstream.

It does not matter if one does not like this way or not, it is truth.

You are pushed out to live for the sake of others because the results will be glorious.

Great blessings await you at the end of your course.

Then you will be grateful.

Is this just to win you with cunning and sugarcoated promises?  This is the absolute truth.

So many people have wanted me to disappear, to be taken to heaven or hell-or wherever! Many people have actually prayed for my life to be taken away, so why does God keep me here on earth? Regardless of what the entire world might think or pray for, God needs me and the members of the Unification Church.

You should have no fear going this way, as God has the power to protect you.  So, you should move forward with a bold and strong heart.  You are a living being and should have the powerful life force that can move the whole universe.

Once you are fortified with this ideology, no challenge is big to you.  When Father first came to the US, do you think that he was overwhelmed?

Once you become the perfect object to God, you then can act independently.  In that case, you might say, "Father, I don't need your help or the church.  I will take responsibility for this country."

You can pledge that you will become perfected then reach out to bring along the rest of the church because that is your goal and destiny.

Opposition is a test to see whether you can do these things on your own.  If you cannot overcome opposition, you have nothing to be truly proud of.

But because you have learned to withstand and overcome opposition, this is proof that you can accomplish great things on your own.  This is beautiful and dynamic.

During the heaviest of battles, Father never was afraid. He never prayed to God that he was perishing and help him.

He told God to let him do the work and sit back and enjoy the show and take delight in the accomplishment to come.  This is the way he teaches us to be.

You shall become people of dynamic boldness and strength. 

We shouldn't lose motivation, become discouraged over our chose of spouse or lose our energy. With such thinking, you will not go far.

Those who pledge, "Yes, Father I will follow your principle, become a dynamo and perfect myself on my own, helping to create the nation, world which God desires,' raise your hands, please.

Become Ideal People for Liberation

It has been reported to me that there is a great deal of communist activity on college campuses. When our CARP teams stage counter demonstrations, all the communists usually retreat.

You applaud when you hear this because you are excited. CARP pushed the communists to take cover so you feel good, but you don't want to exert the discipline that would give you the power to do that.

You have to accept the discipline that will make you powerful enough to drive communism back. If with bare hands we can gather the resources to lay the foundation that can save the world, then if we have enough tools and money could we do it easily?

If we have already become such people, then the world has no way to compete with Father.  What we can accomplish is so above their own standards, that they cannot even imagine how to compete with us.

In the fishing industry, Father set a standard that no competitor could outdo him.  He would be able to be out on the boat fishing with his crew at 4 am and not return until almost midnight.  Sometimes they would spend 24 hours on the boat.

Once he would proclaim something, that would echo throughout the entire country and world.

"People cannot help but listen. I operate on a simple principle and I have a plan."

Don't look for the easy way out in the Unification Church.

Before you are thirty, I will push you down to the dungeon. In that hell you will have to persevere and survive. The rest of the world is looking for the easiest direction, looking for another way to have a good time, but we don't care that those things exist. By following my discipline you can all become saints by the time you are thirty. After that, go ahead and have a good time. You can even grow your hair until it reaches your toes. You can braid it into a rope and connect yourselves together and have a big parade, but only after you reach that saintly plateau.


Once you become ideal men of God, you shall enjoy true liberation.  No matter how much you enjoy this liberation, you must always be within the Principle.  This is what perfection is.

The most precious and important thing is God.

We might take God's presence for granted throughout our daily lives.  Imagine a life without God's existence, or God decided to abandon the human race?

What comes into existence first: spirit or matter?

You cannot show spirit to someone, but the communist place such importance on matter.  When you wake up in the morning, usually the first thing you think about is breakfast, correct?

Are you able to prove that the invisible world of the mind exists?

What about the eye for example?  Does the eye understand that it needed to tear in order to keep it clean and wet enough to function?  Was the eye aware that it needed to develop eyelashes to help keep the dust away?

Did the eyebrows automatically develop to keep the sweat and rain from running into the eye?

When communists, Marxists and evolutionist cry that matter came about haphazardly or automatically, then how did the hair know to come out of the forehead and not the eyes.  Even after a baby is born, it has no clue or knowledge about the atmosphere.

Would the eye know anything about itself in the mother's womb and develop on its own accord?

Of course not.

There was a designer of the eye that knew about the related environment with sunshine and dust and rain.  The point is that someone knew in advance that the eye would have to cooperate with the environment.  Therefore, the designer would also plan for hair, eyebrows, ears and so forth that would unite with the rest of creation.

What if no one was born with hair that lived in the hot tropics?

Imagine being bald on a hot fierce beaming sun day.  There was an universal mind that figured out all of these things in advance.  Since no material in creation could haphazardly bring itself about into existence, material did not come into being first. Therefore, spirit existed before there was any material world.

Why is there such a debate over this?

It is like a debate between the religious and god-denying world of communism that denies the world of spirit.

If material just came into exist by happen chance and thought came as an effect of material, then there is no set standard to live by.  If there are no standards, if gives rise to lose behavior and live however bringing about chaos.

As a person of faith, you live by the principles set by God that brings about peace.

Even the best eye doctor a hundred years from now, still would not be able to discover all the secrets and complexities of the formation of the eye.

It is completely illogical to say matter comes first.

Even though the spirit is invisible, it comes before any material comes into being.  The conclusion is that all of the beauty we observe in the universe was designed by a universal consciousness which is spirit.  From that spirit, the visible world was created.

You are an effect, not a cause, therefore, you need to know this cause.  The vertical subject.

You live in a material reality as men and women with horizontal relationships.  When you connect to the vertical power, the vertical and horizontal turn around together.  Then existence is permanent.

Mechanical principles work the same way in physics.  The motor has four poles; one pair of plus and minus is not enough.  Even the visible universe has a spirit, like the visible body has a spirit.

If there is a subject, that designed man, then does this mean that that spirit is superior to you?

That universal spirit would thus have give and take with all the things of the universe.

The center that designed all things is who we call God.  No one can deny that there is a divine knowledge, emotion and will in the universe.

If God exists in our universe what would be the most important for Him of all?  Is it true love?

Where did true love originate?

First, there must be life, for without life nothing can happen.  You must come into existence before you are able to do something.

For God, the most important thing is life.

He does not want a temporary existence but eternal.

After there is life, then we can speak about true love, which is the culminating point. Therefore, a temporal life is not enough.

Love is not a stationary subject, but is only generated out of a complimentary relationship.

Nothing can be perfect independently.

There has to be a subject and object together to make a pair that creates a circuit which generates love.  The pair system is the beauty of the universe.  

Men and women both have life, and God is the same.  Without life, nothing is able to begin.  Love cannot be activated outside of the pair system, so, in order to fulfill love, you need the pair system.  

Each individual also exists within the pair system which is called dual essentialities.  This is needed to create a circuit for give and take of love.

What if you take one of your arms and link it to your other one to make one long arm and hand.  Is this utilitarian?  This would not pass the love examination.

Even your teeth are part of the pair system.  There is an upper and lower set of teeth.  They snap at each other.

But they must behave this way within Principle.  Love is only activated within a complimentary, reciprocal circuit.  Each finger on one hand represent a season, and has three segments which the total of twelve represents twelve months.  The thumbs have two segments, so they represent duality.

You have two types of nervous systems, plus two types of blood vessels.

A baby is able to make a fist with his hands, with the thumb inside while he is still in his mother's womb.  The thumb is the number one finger representing God.

The center, or subject, should be inside. 

The messiah is the center of God's dispensation to bring about a world of peace, with members surrounding him.  All of these relationships derive from the pair system, in order to fulfill love.

Do you think that insects have a pair system, too?

What about the grass and flowers?

Everything exists in pairs and they all like love. 

There is no exception, because God's main goal is to fulfill love.

God needs eternal life and eternal love.  In order to fulfill this eternal love, God is in search for His eternal object, so He can live in an eternal pair.

Who would be God's permanent object?   Only a perfect man.

Eternal life is your goal.

Many fables speak of ways to obtain eternal life or immortality on earth through dreams of vampires and the fountain of youth.  Why is it necessary to live forever?

Because God is an eternal being that lives forever.  Therefore, He gave us eternal life to pursue eternal permanent love through the subject-object circuit system.

Therefore, we are God's objects.  Just as much as God is eternal, we shall be eternal.  As a person of faith, you can be sure you are living for eternity.

Many people just live their life everyday for the purpose of fun, but from here on out, have complete conviction that you will live forever.  Upon this foundation, our next concern will be ideals.

Does God have ideals?

If you love someone, then you want to be proud of him or her?  You want to shower him with gifts, and tell people about him.  You want to be able to demonstrate every capability and be recognized by your lover?

In the same way, when God loves someone, He also wants to show off what He has done for them.  "Look at the creation I made, look what I created."  He would say look not just at the ocean and mountains, but the small planet Earth, the stars and the galaxies.

He would want to give it all to you.  Then His child would be proud and say that God was number one.  They would embrace and become one.

What if God only created His children with nothing to show and they just sat together in the empty sky, looking at each other for eternity?  That would be no fun.

We need an ideal, something to aspire to.  God has an ideal that He wished to accomplish after created humanity.  To fulfill that ideal, we have a vast universe in which to travel.  We need to enjoy the world and ideal things.

With this clumsy body you can't even travel to one planet, yet God has created millions of planets. 

In order to travel around God's big world, you have to travel faster than the speed of light, faster than electricity.  Without this idea of speed, you are unable to travel throughout the universe.  Did you know that you have the ability to travel as fast as the thoughts that come?

We have already traveled to the moon.

That's why God can control the universe.

With love's power, He can travel even faster.  Therefore, even God needs an ideal.

We need the four seasons and the changing weather, the great beauty of the universe to praise God for.

Some people may complain about spring, and like only autumn.  Other people say they hate winter or summer.  If you want to be in the image of God, you will go through all these seasons.  You may like winter, but you have to go through spring, summer and fall.

Would God only like comedy and not a serious drama?

Does God have a sense of humor and joke with loved ones?

If God was to disappear briefly, you become sad.  This sadness is not bad, because it gives additional stimulation when your loved one returns.  Love is never boring.

Over the course of history all peoples will be treated fairly. 

History does not flow in a straight line, but in waves.

A person may have a tragic history, but will experience glory at some time.  Stronger nations may conquer smaller nations, but at another time, the smaller nations and oppressed people will conquer the great nations.


That is why I do not come from a big country. I came from the small country of Korea to bring to America the ideology which can conquer. So far in the materialistic, scientific world, America has led the way. But the small country of Korea has a new spiritual ideology that will control the world. It is only fair. History is turning around.



These events are not happening separate from the rules of the principle.

Most of the problems that are occurring today, began because American society is very wealthy.

American homes enjoy so much that they do not appreciate it.  In essence, family members are not experiencing true spiritual love between each other.  Therefore, there must be a change that comes about throughout the nation.

Our planet earth even breathes.  It also expands and contracts.

This amount of change that comes about is very small compared to the size of the planet.  Still the earth swells and shrinks.  Do you think your cells in your body also breathe?

Scientists today are trying to prove that you do not need love to create a human being through a test tube, but every cell carries life.  Would you like to live on this clumsy earth forever as many dream, or would you want to become the central element of love and live forever without any limitation?

Well, does that mean you want to go to spirit world immediately?

Even with the Concorde, it would be difficult to stay up with the speed of God with our clumsy bodies.
 Does that mean you want to go to the spirit world very quickly?

Our real, true body is our spirit body, and our real world is spirit world.  This is reality.

God who is a spirit, created the body only to help the spirit become perfected while on earth, following Him looking over the universe enjoying eternal life.

God created man in spirit and body.  This is how God designed it.

Then you may wonder why would God need to make the external world and our clumsy, fragile bodies in the first place.

God's creation is the manifestation of spirit through the visible material.  God is the ultimate spirit like the north pole, and creation is the south pole.  That's man.

In other words, man is the visible image of God.

The central line where God can look down to the other extreme is the line of love.  God dwells in the center.  There, life, love and God's ideal world are all concentrated on this line.  That is the axis which turns.

You also want to live forever.  You want to have love.

You also want to have ideals which these things you crave are concentrated on this line.  This is the universal center for everyone.  It does not matter whether you are yellow, white or black.

God will be proud of His creation when man also rejoices over it. 

When you look at grass, you know that God made each beautiful green blade for you.  When you hear birds singing, you can think, "God created them for me.  Thank you God."

If you do not have this fundamental understanding about God's creation, you will not have gratitude.  \

Once you understand that everything was created in the pair system, God is the subject looking for His true object, and all the universe is the object to man, then you know that things are created for you.

Then you will understand that the central spirit behind all of creation is love.

Who is God and what is God?

God is the one who created life as a foundation.  He is searching after perfection in love, and he has a great ideal.

You and I are God's object, so therefore you pursue the same thing God pursues.  First of all, I must be an eternal being because my Creator is one.  Once you have eternal life, then what?

You fulfill love.

God's ideal is to fulfill love, therefore you want to make that circuit of love with God.  God is sacrificial and unselfish.  You want to truly give everything to God and God wants to give all He has to you.

In this respect, you want to own the entire world.  Within the spirit of love, you are able to do that.

God has a desire to love men, but how is that possible with men who do not possess love?

Man has the possibility to give and take in love, and then God can freely exchange His love with man.  The blessing will only come after a man or woman learn the true value of love and experience that love.

From this point of view, we know that the fall of man meant that man became numb to love when they did not follow God's word.  They did not grow to understand true, Godly love.

Christians always speak about being saved and how they want to have their little corner in heaven.  Most of them do not care about the world or about loving all people.  Being comfortable in their own lives and the few people they may meet, they do not waste their energy on world affairs.

Heaven is not a place. Heaven is love. 

It is a popular notion that heaven is a place in the sky and just by mere belief in Jesus as God's son you will enter the pearly gates.  Preachers may tell members of their congregation that when they pass on, all of their sins are automatically cleansed and they become perfect to live with God for eternity.

If you do not perfect your love or possess God's ideal and practice it on earth, you cannot speak about heaven.  Salvation becomes a visible image of God from the extreme of the material world.

If you yearn to go somewhere, you do not get there by just lying down and sleeping or hoping to get there.  God's desire is to perfect His visible image of man.

Therefore, we are not the subject, but the object.  Do you want to live by your own will and fallen ideals?  Live by your own motivation?

Americans practices too much individualism where each does not worry about others except their own position, situations and happiness.

How can they be harmonized with the universe with that kind of mindset?

With that kind of selfish motivation, the more you move, the more you become distant from the universe and further from unity.  You are separate from the universe and do not harmonize.  Is the American ideal a step forward or backward from establishing world peace?


Every day I am working to cut out all the old ideas and give you clean new ideas. But the old ideas tend to creep back in again! Think about yourself-how many times do you have to keep cleaning out the old ideas? You want me to do things the American way. If the American method would build the Kingdom of Heaven at once, I would be happy to do that. I am a logical person. I look at the truth, and if there is a better and faster way to achieve it, I would take it. 


Our problem is that we never threw out the old way of thinking that came with sin.  We just keep carrying them around.


But I devised a new way to get rid of them: It will be you a very narrow gate and a crooked road, and as you go along your luggage will get worn out and you will throw it away. I will push you faster and faster, and soon you will lose your old ideas.


Honestly, have you had to keep re-examining your old ideals?  To go God's way toward world restoration, you must be pushed out the narrow gate in order to be hardened and disciplined.

You will be tested and you can thank those who persecute you because you will find out how tough you are.

People come from all over the world with big bundles of ideas.  Satan would excuse if we just leave them alone or cut them from the dispensation.

The best way is to leave your luggage behind on your own.  We should make a pledge among ourselves to get rid of our baggage.

When you fundraise door-to-door, you can think of it like visiting another planet for the day.  Some planets will give you the cold shoulder and some people may shout or accuse you.  When you visit such a planet, you can think of that house as the winter season.

When you get a hot welcome, think of it as summertime house.

Through this type of work, you can rehearse everything in your life.  You should be able to be a rounded character that can like all season, weather and atmosphere.  This is your goal while you are here on earth.

By digesting with love everything happening here on earth, you become successful in your life.

Satan will naturally surrender in competition of love and has no defense when you practice intense love.

Love is your best offense and your best defense.  You can make love wider and wider because it has no limit and can break all barriers.  This is the original concept of God's creation.

For the first time in history, the concept of creation which is God's ideal is being followed.

Through the fall, man lost the knowledge of true love and love's order.  Man has remained in the dark of self-centeredness.  We must liberate mankind from its selfish lifestyle and behavior.  Wherever you go, you should be the crossroads where love, life and ideal are concentrated.

With it, there is nothing you cannot win.  Without it, there is nothing you can win.  Therefore, you must always defend these three points.  This is what God's strategy has been all of this time.

Is it right to refuse to go to a home because they are atheists and do not believe there is a God?  You should embrace such a family and be sacrificial toward them.

God always sacrifices Abel for the sake of restoring Cain.

For this reason, you are pushed strongly.

As people of faith, you are in the position of Abel, so you must demonstrate sacrificial love to save those in the Cain world.  The more you practice this greater love, the wider your horizon becomes.


 I have lived this principle all my life. I always forgave the people who mistreated me, and sacrificially loved them. Eventually they were conquered by love, and my own horizons became wider. Do you think I am very tough, or vulnerable and easy to break? I will never break. 


You, too should also have that kind of toughness that Father has that nothing can stop your life power.  If you are not able to demonstrate that power of life, love and ideal, God will not be able to have a good rapport with you.

God is eternal and tough.  When you resemble the Messiah, God will know He can trust you and deal with you.


When I issue a direction, how do you answer? Pushing you out and making you hard does not benefit me; it only brings criticism to me. I don't need your fund raising because I do not spend American money for my purpose. I can take care of myself. It is not for my own benefit that I push you.


If someone was trying to take your life power away from you, would you just give up in defeat?  What if your former boyfriend or girlfriend wants you to come back to them, will you just say, "To heck with eternal life, I just want to have fun"?

Do not do things that cheapen your life.

You are not able to swap the extreme value of your life for even the whole universe.  Your life is connected to God and is there for eternity.

Your life should be full of give and take with God.  Would you give up this pure relationship over a girl nagging you?

Are you able to sell your life cheaply?

Even if millions of Americans were to come against you, you still cannot sell it.  Even if the entire earth came after you, still you cannot sell it because it is more precious than the entire cosmos, equal to God.

Ungodly love brought about the fall of man below God's ideal and brought death and misery.  Through restoration, we have found true life.  Eternal life.

In order to restore the original love before it was lost through the fall, you should not hesitate to do anything that will bring you closer to the ideal.  Therefore, it is your pride to be persecuted, condemned and spit upon for the sake of restoration of true love.  Many saints, people of faith and conscientious people went this way of love for the world.

God created original love and now you are restoring it into wholeness.  You are doing the things that are as important as God is doing.  How great is this sacred work we are doing?


 Until God and the world are united in rejoicing over God's one principle, I shall not relax one minute. No matter what, you must defend the central point where life, love and ideal all come into the center.


We are pursuing that kind of eternal life here in the church and that kind of God-centered love and ideal.  The world is our stage.  If we are not victorious on earth, we shall never prevail eternally.  We have not been able to win the ultimate victory yet.

Instead of running many races, just think about being victorious all at once.  Think how to condense everything into one race.  You'd want to participate in that kind of game and that is why you become a champion for all seasons, in all areas.


I have a good brain and I am always thinking about what the one game is in which I can win everything. God wants to see His son win that kind of certificate. 


Think of that one game where you can win the championship.  That game is Home Church.  That is the place where you can run with your life, love and ideal.

No matter what people will say about you will not make a difference.  Go ahead and run in all directions with this principle.

If others sleep for five hours, you will sleep for four hours.  If they sleep four, you sleep three.  If they sleep for one hour, then you get no sleep at all.  You  must have strong life power.

Father lived by that high standard.  Many people think that he is like superman with an iron body as he was was in his 80s giving 10-hour speeches, playing sports and talking with leaders from around the world all day and night.

He may not be Superman, but he has an iron spirit.

Our mind tends to be unfocused and jump all around, but his mind is like a rock that stays firmly in place, period.  Once he set a goal and marched forward, there was nothing under the sun that could move him away from it.  He is determined that no matter what hits him, he would not shatter.

 I will not slow down at all. That is the kind of teacher and leader you have.

Whether you go to Africa, South America or Asia it does not make a difference where you are persecuted, how can you forget what you represent?

Wherever you go in the world, you stand on Principle.  God gave you Home Church as the stage to practice the principle with the people there representing the world.

Therefore, season your life with life power, love power and ideal power in your home church.

If you want to get a Ph.D, you have to work day and night.  Sometimes people may spend many years on their dissertation.

This work cannot be done in your own way,  it must be accomplished based on the Principle, in God's way.  You want to meet the three criteria of life, love and ideal.

When you think you have passed, then you will be given an exam to test how you did.  Then God will examine it and add the final signature.  Unless your certificate is signed and completed, it will not be accepted anywhere.

Go ahead and create the power of life, love and ideal so that your cup will completely overflow.

If you say this task is easy to do, then you are faking.  Life, love and ideal are important to us.


I know that it is not easy because I have been suffering all my life. What I had to obtain was so important that there was nothing I could not endure. I have already graduated, and now the next seven years are your course. I have become the school principal and now I can put my signature upon your certificate.


From the bottom of your heart, do you believe that this is the most important thing to practice?  Would you do this work of restoration if you were blinded, and your ears were cut off and you could not hear?

The Bible uses very severe language such as if your arm or leg hinders your work for God to cut it off because sin is detrimental.  With sin there is no way out.

If you pledge that today is a new day to begin practicing the Principle raise your hands.  Let us pray.

Can a Selfish Person Change?

You are smart. Others might say you are foolish for investing yourself in the home church providence. They wonder why you are working so hard to witness to others. Maybe someone would prefer you to do only a little so the central figure won't be able to compare you. If you do very well, the central figure will come after someone else and chew him out for doing so poorly!

Do you welcome a person with great accomplishments?  Do you see yourself moving forward by taking the tough route?

Maybe you would prefer standing still.  Maybe you need to be forced to move forward.

Should we vote on it democratically in the resolution?

A true, real central figure of the universe is exerting mental and spiritual force to move everybody forward. 

There is no way you can drop out.

You must continue to move forward and reach the goal.  You are already inspired, right?

We all enjoy the most beautiful sunny days, don't we?  What if you went to witness your home church area only on sunny days taking time off when it was stormy or cloudy weather.

What would your area think of you?  They will accuse you and tell you that they waited all day for you to show up.  Why do you only come when the weather is nice?

What if you showed up on only rainy days?

What would God think?

If it was raining, if there was a hurricane, God would be concerned for the people suffering in home church and want to go and help them.  This is how a saint thinks.

You may not be trying to reach sainthood, but you should be able to become a good person.  This is the way of a great person.

Whose way would you rather follow: the path of a normal person, a great person, or a saint?


Am I walking a normal or abnormal way? Mother tries to bring me closer to a normal way of life. "Father, you aren't a young man anymore," she says. "Please don't act like a 20 year old!" Mother also has another good piece of advice: "You shouldn't give sermons longer than two hours. It's bad for your heart!" When I go beyond two hours, Mother always gives some warning signal. Indeed, I am surely living an abnormal way!


Normally, we expect to eat three meals a day.  We do not have this concept when we are working hard pushing forward for the restoration of the world.

Is there a law that states we have to eat three meals a day?  One meal a day is sufficient.  Even no meal is okay.

Sometime the Reverend gives his speech all day long and at the dinner table he says that this is his breakfast. That is the kind of schedule he kept.

He is always hungry when he eats and enjoy every meal, no matter the content.  This is how he stays healthy.

Food wants to be eaten by someone who is living for others.  

What does one benefit from living like this?

This abnormal way of life is far better than the normal way of life.  We are doing this not for selfish reasons, but for the sake of the generations to come.  Those who follow you will also be able to benefit from your abnormal way of life.

Also, history will never be able to forget those who live that way today.  Posterity shall always honor and revere them.

In our world, there are two basic groups:  Those who act altruistically for the sake of others, and those who act primarily for just their bodily pleasure.

The latter group doesn't want to have anything to do with thinking deeply, because that would inquire one forgetting oneself for once.  Once a person's thinking is self-centered, he will act accordingly.

We constantly speak about those who live sacrificially for something greater than themselves, and those who want to live for only themselves.

People who are unselfish revere patriots, saints and religious role models.  They try to apply this to their contemporary way of life.

On the other hand, the other type of person would not care how the saints felt, what religion teaches or what philosophers write.  They do not want to hear that kind of speak.

All their cares are for the carnal way of life, or more closely resembling the animal life.  They only live for physical gain and seek only their own satisfaction not caring about other viewpoints outside themselves.

Which type are you?  Are you selfish or unselfish?

The main problem is we know the correct way is the altruistic,  righteous way, but we know we can't always follow that way.  As fallen people with sin, we are already wired to automatically think of ourselves first and follow our physical desires no matter how harmful the effects.

We know that there are many people who have a 'I don't care' attitude in the world.

Students say that nobody is going to tell them what to do.  They know that having a good time is fun and do not want to be bothered by no one else.

What about you.  Which type of person are you?  What would your original godly mind tell you?

Because we descended from the first parents that did not follow God's words, we inherited a selfish mind.  The human species was not originally born into sin.  They passed on the self-centered attitude to all their offspring leading to our generation.

When something is not right in society, we see many protests and revolutions that have brought about change throughout history. How is it possible to revolutionize the selfish, external way of thinking?

Is it even possible for such people to be able to change their direction?

Is it right or selfish to even try to prohibit such a direction?

We see that there are all kinds of perverted activities around the world.  People are able to indulge in these fallen acts without any remorse or guilt.

In one family, the father may sleep with his daughter, or the grandfather sleep with the granddaughter.  Some people's reason is that the animal world lives that way, why should they be tied down by such rules?

They will say that they, too, are a part of nature and this is only normal behavior.  They are only acting out human nature's desires.

The sacrificial way of life is weird and abnormal from the perspective of the world.  

Some of you have been engaged for two years, yet you rarely talk to each other or write very many letters as you walk this path of restoration.

Isn't this kind of discipline going against nature?

Why should we do this?

There is not a teacher who is giving a clear direction of what is wrong with the free, and fun way of doing things.  Thus, there is such great confusion right now in the United States of what is right.  Particularly among the young people, who are not being raised with a definite clear direction.

Do you think first and then act, or do you just do something and then think about it later?

Only those living this full path for God's will would answer they think before acting from that godly point of view.  Do you wish to go back to the other way?

People take the easy route by just acting on their physical urges.  They get carried away by their emotions just so they can have fun and then they think about the consequences later.

But a confrontation is occurring between the new age and the old. 

There are two schools of thought clashing: the carnal way of life, versus the thinking way of  life; the selfish way of life versus the unselfish way of life.

In order for you to go in the right direction, you need to have a clear basic standard of what is right or wrong, good and evil.

If there are six self-centered people who make up a family, then there are six different way of life within that family.  Can such a family maintain unity easily?

What if the daughter was to demand that the parents were to follow her way because she thought it was the most fun or cool way so it was the best?

Then the son would say that his parents are old-fashioned and do not understand how hard it is to be a kid in this day and age, so he wants a new, fun-filled way of life.  He would demand that his way was best and that his parents should listen to his direction.

If we were to see into such a home, we would see daily arguments and fights.  Sadly, after each battle, the family's morale would drop until a disaster resulted.

Has anyone become a great person through fighting?

Fighting causes division and weakness.

Democracy is based on the consensus of the majority.

Therefore, their unity on a decision is meant to be a safeguard for the whole nation.  In a democracy, each individual does not just proclaim his own way of life.  The people should reach a consensus of what is the best to benefit everybody.

When we speak of benefiting everybody, would our direction be moving up or down?

We would be moving upward.  As individuals move upward in consensus, they will eventually reach the level of society.

Then as society moves upward, it will reach the level of nation.  Then the level of nation reaches the world.  This is how it works.

If America was to head in the right direction, then the whole world would follow that direction, thus bringing about the new world.

Unfortunately, this formula has been seen to work in the wrong direction.  As America abandons God for their selfish way of life, we see the world being led in the wrong direction.

If there is something beyond the world, we want to transcend the world to reach it.

Nobody can deny the truth of that theory.

In your heart, you have an appreciation for what is popular, don't you?  You also want society and the nation to recognize you.  You want to become a world champion in something.

Isn't it human nature to want to go higher and God to recognize you and the spirit world on an eternal basis?

Would Westerners think that way?

Then we are all the same people aren't we?

We have the same course, the same original mind that desires good and of course the same origin. This is why there is a potential for world peace.

There must be a unified way to raise everybody up where it will benefit them.

If we plan to survive and move forward, we have to come up with a course, not just for the present, but the principle should apply in the past as well as the future.

There should be one principle that will enable everyone to unite and move forward.  It would have to be something a Korean would want, America and all of mankind would desire.

Do you think only people desire world peace, or is this something God would want, too?

We should all move upward together.

Are you able to solve the problem by yourself, or is this a joint effort?  Would we be able to do this by following the selfish way or unselfish way living for others?

Only by following an unselfish way can people be united.

The selfish person says, "I want to benefit from you.  Work and sacrifice yourself for me."

No one would respond to such a person's request.

To reach the goal, the basic principle is to live for the sake of goodness.  The credo of history is to live sacrificially.

Does God Exist Part III

Every morning when I get up, I wash my face, looking in the mirror. Every morning I am totally intoxicated by my own face, not because it is anything special but because of Who designed this face. It must have been a genius! How could He put the eyes like that, the nose, the mouth, the ears? Is there any better way of making the combination? I cannot think of any improvement.

What if you were to place your eyes in the center where the nose is or place the nose on the forehead?  What if you bring the eyes where the mouth is and place the mouth a little bit higher?

When you think of your facial design, you see that there is no better placement that makes sense in regard to the rest of the elements.

The position of the eyes, the nose and the mouth all have Divine Principle meaning.

First, of all the eyes which are in the highest position represent God.  The nose represents Adam and Eve.  One nostril represents man and the other the woman which unites in the center.  The forehead represents God's ideal which extends down to the eyes and the nose.

The mouth is horizontal and represents all things and all creatures in the creation.

The bridge of the nose reaches to the highest point.  Thus our face is symbolic of the whole universe.  How can we say that this came about by accident?

Adam and Eve, as the first parents, are in the center standing at the highest position of Creation reaching up to God.  God has the deeper position where you have to look deeply into the eyes.

You will find God hiding behind deeper things. 

The mouth represents all the things of creation, so you have 32 teeth, the product of 4 times 8, significant numbers of creation.

Ears represent the four directions.  You have a body with two legs and two arms.  The foot has three joints and your fingers have three joints as well. The thumb has two, however the thumb represents God.

You have the four fingers that are closer together so when the fist is clenched, the thumb is hidden inside.  This is because God is hidden within the universe.

Altogether we have twenty-four joints in the two hands, with God hiding in the center.

In all the universe and all creation God's central masterpiece is man. 

This is how God feels about man; man is the most precious piece of His whole creation.

Upon careful, deeper observation, you can see the similarities between all the animals and man, because there was a certain basic process of which they were all a part.

When you look at creation's beginnings you see that God used the previous experiences in successive creations.  But when you look at man's internal nature, you will see that he is the only one who is totally different because he is a new creation from the rest.

God created a variety of nuclei that cannot come together without the universal force to bring everything together and bind them into oneness.

By now we know that God exists and we certainly need Him.

This is a fundamental awareness.

Once it is revealed, more theories and principles can be derived from it. This is the understanding we are bringing and sharing with the world in order to correct our fallen path that was created when we turned away from God.

This thought embraces all the phenomena of the universe and all historical phenomena to fulfill the ideal of unification through the way of restoration.

We create the basis for God's love through our witnessing of home church in our 360 homes in our area.

We must talk about the origin of the fall from the first parents, True Parents, their heart and God's heart.

You will not be able to understand the true content of Divine Principle until you witness to hundreds.
We must achieve individual perfection through experiences in the home church area before we can talk about perfection and restoration of the whole.

We must have individual restoration before world restoration can happen.

One you have many experiences witnessing this truth and serving your 360 home church area, you will come to understand this completely.

Home church is our altar and where you will meet God.

Now that you know God, you know you need God and where to meet Him.  Once you truly know God with your heart and serve Him you would not do anything to hurt Him.

What if everyone knew God in his own heart?

No one would be able to commit any crimes, and no one could hurt anybody.  Your own eyes would be the watchdog of God.

Just by having an evil thought within you, when you look in the mirror, your own eyes would judge you and force you to repent for your behavior.

Have you ever considered that every time you look in the mirror that the person in the mirror is God watching over you?

If you were to live for yourself or commit any crimes, how would you be able to command your leg to work for you?

How can you order your hand to feed your mouth if all you are doing is evil acts?  Your mouth would not have the right to open to receive the food.

If a criminal had spiritual sense, he would be able to see that the food protests going into his mouth screaming out, "No".  Food does not want to go into a thief's mouth, or go into the stomach because it would become his nourishment to do more evil.

On the other hand, food would want to nourish a good, God-centered person working for the sake of your fellow man.

All things of creation, food included wants to become a part of God.

When you are godly, food wants to be eaten by you and be inside you because then they can become a part of God and a higher call.  There are two types of human beings: one is the animal-type and the other is the noble, God centered human being.

You are making a determined effort to become the original, perfect being God wanted from the beginning of creation.  Do you do this only out of duty or do you take the initiative?

Through this process of linking to the eternal God is the center of eternal love, we are immortalizing ourselves.  Just like Jesus, we become immortal beings by uniting ourselves with the immortal center.

Perfection must come while we are engaged in life here on earth.

If the first parents had followed God's word instead of another, everyone would have reached perfection in their relationships within their lifetime on earth .

Then they would have entered heaven automatically after entering spirit world.

This was God's blueprint of creation.  Fortunately, we are living in the age where we have a golden opportunity to reach perfection in our lifetime through the work of restoration.

If you miss this opportunity, you will lose this position forever.

When you understand the seriousness of this situation, you see that nothing else matters.  You will want to invest all your energy during this lifetime to reach perfection of yourself and your relationship with God.

This is the most essential and all encompassing aspiration of life.

You must think that you can become the person which God takes absolute delight because you will perfect your love and become inseparable from Him.

You will be so joyful when you are in this position.

This work of restoration is not easy, but once we understand how precious a chance we have to return to our original state before the fall, we can have a grateful heart to do this work.

Even to become the President of the entire world is not as important as this position.  People of all history could not imagine that it was possible to be able to become perfected in our love.

Jesus was able to reach perfection and reach the true standard of God, but he left his mission incomplete because he was not able to have people to follow him completely in his lifetime.

He suffered the way of the cross as a second choice to bring only spiritual salvation to the earth. Thus, Jesus himself lost his own body leaving Satan to attack the physical self.  Even the most devout Christian bears children with sin.

This is why the Messiah brings the message to our time that will liberate humanity physically from the fall.

We should realize how poignant, gratifying the ideal of God is real.  He is searching after each of us to reach His standard.  He does not happily sit by and watch the world fall apart from His throne, but

He comes down and reaches out for us.  Just as much as we need God, God needs us.

We can enjoy many great relationships within our family lives, but a tragedy may take a spouse away.  We do not have to worry if he or she lived for the sake of God.

If you both pursued the one, central universal way of life, you will never be separated from your husband, wife or loved one.

The reason you are pushed out to do fundraising activities is because through those experiences, you can shorten your path to reach God.

When you work all day long, you don't want to just spend the money on yourself, but to continue on, you must find something to eat.  You may go to McDonald's and get a burger for a dollar and thank Heavenly Father for the renewed energy.

Even if you were dressed poorly, the food would be delighted to come into your body because you are a person of God.

When everything you do represents God's world, that hamburger will love you and want to be part of you.  The hamburger won't complain that you gobbled it up in one bite.

Compare yourself today to the person you were before doing your mission work for others.  Isn't there a world of difference? You have gone through a priceless transformation in your goals and your spiritual state.

You could never buy those experiences with money.  You may seem like your position is poor, but your position is precious when you see the overall effect.

You could never buy this with money. The position you are in is precious.

If you really know and love the nucleus, then you love everything about it.

We aspire and desire to meet God, to live with Him and have Him dwell with us joyfully.

Once you connect with the eternal love of God, you become inseparable beings for eternity.  When you are connected with God's love, your hand radiates spiritual light.

Thus, your whole body becomes like a light bulb when you are truly becoming the embodiment of God.

Every cell of yours is totally satisfied when the love of God surrounds you.

This is how the love of God is:  when you are dancing, you want to dance forever; when you are enjoying sleeping, you want to sleep forever.  You don't want to be separated from the source of joy.

While you are on earth, you must have this experience of ecstatic joy of love.  This is really perfection.

Then once you lose your physical body in that state, then you automatically are pulled up, as if by a big magnet, to God in heaven.  You become like a piece of metal flying directly into the magnet of God's bosom.

This is a eternal magnetic field of love of which you are a part.

For eternity, you cannot separate from this origin of love.  We must know that every single element of creation is headed this way.  Creation longs to become  part of this field of love.  They will come to you and want to stay with you.

This is considered the ideal world.

The ideal world is a reality and within our reach.

To reach this level, we should apply ourselves 24 hours a day to live in this way.  There is no way you can get tired, even death would not be able to stop you from obtaining this standard.

If death was to come, you will be liberated into absolute freedom and be able to move wherever you want once you fulfill your purpose in life.

We should prepare a package of love and go and meet God.

Home church is the launching pad we can call a "Love Apollo".  Through this large launching pad, you must create lots of love.  Through your acts in home church providence, you make a lot of journeys of love.

Living this way, you make your life dramatic, ultimately exciting.  Thus, persecution is not necessarily bad.

What Determines Good and Evil?

We have reached a population of seven billion people living on the face of the earth and still growing.  But they are confused from the beginning not knowing their true history.  Where has this chaotic situation began and where are we headed?

Human history is unclear which makes the process also unclear, therefore the end is unclear.  With all situations situations, the only thing that is prospering is confusion.  If we clearly knew the beginning, there would not be up or down and no confusion would exist in the world because our destiny would be very clear, therefore our end goal would be clear.

Our history is not like this.

Human history is full of confusion and continues in confusion.  People think certain things are good and certain things are evil.  There are no set standard of good and evil which everyone clearly follows.  The standard is always changing and for this reason there is greater confusion.

In history, there are two major parts that are always engaged in battle and confrontation: good and evil.  This conflict has caused bloodshed creating confusion continuing in our time.

In history many kingdoms and empires have risen and left the earth.  Those empires and kingdoms do not measure their destiny when they're going up or when they are going down; when they're going to be flourishing or when they are going to be demolished. No one knew.

Every ruler that came into power throughout history wanted to stay in power.  They wanted to stay for good and continue their goodness.  However without them knowing a logical reason, they had to perish and had to be killed.  They're kingdom had to be demolished.

Centered on men, there is good and evil in the world.  So who is going to determine what is good and what is evil?

If there happens to be a good sovereignty or an eternal good power, then that power would control and diminish evil and make good to flourish and continue to flourish.  However, there has not been such a power throughout history.

No one was able to recognize an absolute good solution, good principle or good ruler of the universe. Throughout history, rulers from different empires and kingdoms had to shape their own rules and principles to determine what was good and evil.One is different from other sets, thus from one place to the other, everyone is operating under different criteria of good and evil.

Every country has its own definition of good and evil rules and certain way of punishing evil.  In order to maintain sovereignty, each country had to enforce their own standard of good and evil.  Each country has a prison, a system of judgement and even capital punishment.

Therefore the standard of good and evil has been fluctuating up and down, according to the thinking and standards of each kingdom's ruler and sovereignty. Therefore all of humanity is destined to choose one way or the other.

People have a natural desire to take the good road which they feel they can flourish, but they end up going another way to follow the evil road.  But by following this way, they will eventually perish.  This has been the reality in history.

Furthermore, the conscience has the power of judgment; the conscience can tell what level of evil or what level of goodness. Even looking at similar countries, the conscience will see which country is the more evil country and which is the relatively good country.

The conscience has the power of judgment. 

The conscience does not only evaluate and judge matters, but is also moving itself toward the best goodness it can find.  What is the purpose of education?  Is it to educate the body or the conscience?  If the conscience has the power to judge good from evil, but the body is absolute mess far from the will of God, then what needs to be educated is the body.

 The body has to be guided, educated and led into the right direction.

So when you contact a good man one time, then the second time, and third time, your mind will know whether or not that person is good or evil or how good or how bad.  The mind and body, the conscience and body are constantly fighting with each other.  Each person has a lot of contradiction within himself or herself, but conscientious people have more harmony and cooperation between their conscience and body.

The principle states that the spirit world concentrates on the eternal, unchanging qualities of the conscience because the body is changing all of the time it cannot center on the body.

Our conscience is like the spirit world.  It is unseen, unchanging; spirit world and conscience do not change.  The physical body does not receive or communicate with the physical world.  In order to enter the spiritual world, the body is left behind.

Spirit world vibrates together with the conscience, you can harmonize and receive a message from the spirit world. 

The conscience has one standard following the one principle which is unchanging.  On the other hand, our five senses constantly change as they obey the body with ten different variations and different ways they react to the environment.  Evil uses this loophole to perform its evil acts on a playground flying in and out to do as it pleases.

When the body makes a demand, then the mind or conscience responds and rejects the idea.
Actually, there are a lot of loopholes which allow evil to come inside of us.  The eyes can view a picture many different ways.  The body will follow that image and act upon it causing the body to go down toward the road of evil.  The body chases things that will make it comfortable.  It only wants to eat good food, wear and touch soft clothes and take lots of rest.

Mind is trying to find its own place and harmonize.

We have never seen or touched our mind, but we know it is dwelling within us.  Do we know where the origin or root of the mind or original mind:?

The mind is absolutely invisible. The root of the mind has absolutely clear goals, clear direction, clear purpose-no problem there.  This means that our mind is always working toward the way and the better goodness all of the time.

Would you rather be a son and daughter of filial piety, loyal subject or a rebellious son?  What about a patriot?

If you had to choose between being a patriot or saint which would you choose?  You would probably want to be a saint because being a patriot is only limited to one country and is not far reaching.

On the other hand, a saint is a universal person who is eternal and everlasting.  Here, there is a direction and a purpose with a mind direction and purpose the mind's purpose.  The goal would not be changed for ten thousand years even million of years because it sprouts from the root of the mind.  That is the root of the conscience.

If a man absolutely obeys the direction of his conscience, he is not only known as a noble character, but he will automatically enter the kingdom of heaven.  He would be respected and admired.  The root of this noble character is the eternal center of goodness.

The original root of conscience and your conscience's purpose and direction are parallel.  So, you must know about both.  You should clearly know the purpose and goal and then there will be no confusion.

Then what is the conscience's ultimate goal?  Is our goal to gain knowledge or to be able to brag that your head holds so much knowledge and have reached the ultimate goal of goodness?

Our purpose cannot be to gain knowledge, because this quality is not everlasting and is always changing.  For example, science will tell is that vitamin B is good for the body, but then turn around years later and discover that Vitamin B is the worst thing for the body.

One study will see that a treatment for cancer is not good for the body while another thinks it is the best solution. How do you determine which is true?  Knowledge changes and is always moving forward.  What is known in our time could never have been thought of thousands of years ago.

There is no absolute truth that is guiding the academic world. 

Is money or wealth the goal of the conscience?

If you had millions of dollars in your pocket, you might feel a wonderful feeling, but the pocket rather go rest and swim.  The pocket would feel that someone will always be around to steal it and will become worrisome and watch the money.

Would the pocket be happy or feel restless and worried to carry so much wealth?

Money is not everlasting.  If a person was told to take a million dollar check for a week, but was told they would have to give it back on the weekend, at first they would feel jubilation, but would feel sad once they went home. That's money - money plays a lot of tricks.

In order to maintain power, you cannot just act normally or be a good man - you've got to be absolutely savvy and cruel in order to maintain that power. Saddam Hussein is a good example.  It is said that one only needs power to do evil, because all one needs is love as the motivator.

Because when you have sovereignty position and power, there is always someone else aiming at you, trying to topple that power.

Therefore, there are gangsters and organized crime and the coup d'etat, the military and all kinds of saboteurs, and even other political parties, all of whom are just trying to character assassinate you. They try to turn you into a vegetable so that they can take power. That's the real world. Therefore, political power has nothing to do with eternal happiness.  It will carry itself to the people as if it performing works to bring about a nation of happiness, but it is only for the interest of the politicians.

If you are in a position of power, there is always going to be an adversary that will use all their power to try to topple you over.  They will try to take all of you to turn you into a vegetable so they can take your power. This is the reality of the world and the reason why political power is not the cause of human happiness.

In Service to Others

All the great saints and sages of every generation have practiced one commonality no matter what religious path they sought: living for the sake of others.

They greatly sacrificed complacency or any comforts in life in order to lay a foundation and to live for the goal of bringing God's children toward God's path.

Each generation seems to lose the value of living for others as they practice more selfish ways of individualism.

Suppose there are two students who rent an apartment.  Of course they have their own responsibilities and possibly chores assigned to each one of them.  Maybe one of them gets up and cooks breakfast for the others.

What would happen?  The other person has the potential to become proud that their roommate is serving them or they could be humble and thankful.

They can become very arrogant and take the person for granted for serving them and think they are foolish and take advantage that the person is serving them unselfishly.  He has the freedom to be proud, but others who are witnessing this may protest and not allow such behavior.  Such a person that takes the other's generosity for granted will be blamed and scolded the more proud he becomes.  Isn't this true:?

When you serve other people, you can win either the other people or the environment.

If you sacrifice yourself for others, then many people can come to your side willingly.  If Jesus had committed any crime and then was crucified, would humanity had been sympathetic toward his cause?

No.  Jesus was blameless before God and sacrificed himself for the sin of humanity, he won the hearts of mankind.

Many of God's warriors and prophets had walked the path of difficulty, but no path was more difficult than to be crucified on the cross for others' sins.  Knowing that Jesus was faultless yet gave his life for humanity, he has become the highest prophet and saint of all history.

His patience, in the face of difficulties and rebellion, was valuable, as well as his love for other people at the sacrifice of himself. With those two elements, there will be peace, love, happiness and all ideals.

In the beginning, God and man were separated due to the first parent's actions.  Jesus' love, service and sacrifice would restore the true link between God and man, and man and Jesus Christ.  Jesus taught this principle through his own actions in his life and through his death: patience and living for other people.

You have inner and outer struggles. You must win the inner struggle. 

By being patient and having a serving heart, you will be able to win over your enemies whenever they come against you.

Many people rather have an easy relaxed life than a sacrificial one.  What if those who race forward everyday for the mission of bringing God' children back toward restoration just sat around and took the easy way of life?

Would America become a happy nation this way?

Some may say, "Well, you have worked enough, you have experienced difficulties and hardships. Just relax and don't irritate us!"

If America is left in the state that it is, it will face peril.  Americans has turned far away from the mainstream of Godly ideology which it was founded upon.  There should be a nation, society, family and individual on the same vertical line.

Are the nation's young people concern with the rise of their nation?  They claim that promiscuous sex is the way.

Is that the true way?

Everything starts with the mind.

The youth of America thinking that has been corrupted by society must be revolutionized and be restored to the vertical line linking to God.  They must be led toward a very clear view of what the Godly world will be like.  What a Godly society, Godly nation and Godly world must be like.

We know all these thing and that God relies on this type of ideology of living for the sake of others.  So, we must not sit still.  We cannot, but go ahead and get the job done.

Everyone may think that the person in charge must be the most happiest in his position because he can command people and they just immediately follow his orders.  Is that an easy task?  Being a leader is not an easy job.  One must always be patient even when their emotions are on the brink of exploding.

Those who are connected to the leader like cars on a train they will be led to the goal, dashing forward.  If one complains against the leader and separates, they will become lifeless.  So, it is best to just attain the goal and see that the evidence will be apparent.

Each moment of our lives will determine if you will lead yourself to misery and unhappiness or happiness and glory. You are either going to the side of God or Satan. You will either go to Heaven or Hell. You cannot relax or you are apt to fall into the dungeon of Hell. So you should always be alert, to be watchful for the future.

You are in the satanic world, but with patience and service to others, you can freely go back and forth even when there are many obstacles.

With this in the back of your mind, you can imagine many hardships that you will encounter.  If you think of each obstacle as another challenge, you can bring victory.  You should be really dedicated, brave soldier in this final spiritual battle.  You are sure to have victory which God would enjoy, that Jesus would enjoy by following the example.  His victory is your victory.

March Forth, Heavenly Soldiers!!

The Bible warns to be careful in every moment because the devil is couching at the door waiting for you to make a misstep and let him in to destroy your life.

Where is the boundary of Satan?  We must be able to reanimate the people of this nation.  In this way, we please God who is longing for his children who are lost.  Our point of victory must be there.

This is similar to a rope in tug-a-war with you pulling the rope on this end and whoever is on the other side will be dragged toward the winning side.  On one end, there are the presidents of major companies and famous political figures and behind them are thousands of people connected to them. You can wind the winch and those on the other side will be pulled toward you.

If you can win and pull a college dean or university president to your side, behind them will be even more top-level people pulled along.  You must think as the Bible states that you are fisher of men that have cast anchors and hooks to grab hold of men and pull them toward heaven.

The most important thing in this struggle is to stay strong and never waver. This is where the boundary point of victory lies.  It is right here in front of us.  There are many who are so weak that they can be easily persuaded and compromise their value by the opposition.

When you are active, you seem to be strong, but at times you are defeated. 

We all have hooks that the opposition knows about and pulls them in order to pull you in the wrong direction.  Our innermost self compares our situation to those of our friends.  If we are running forward on a mission and see one of our old friends and see that they are dressed nicely and have great success in a worldly way, we will in that moment lose courage to go forward as we look at our humble dress and lifestyle.

When you work hard at your mission witnessing in the streets or fundraising and doing many activities many people will say that it is no different from being a beggar.  But Heaven knows.  Before this work, you didn't dream about doing such things.

Wait until ten years later, and we will be far excelling those people. If we endure for ten more years, we will soar up and be conspicuous in the human scene, while other people will decline and be corrupted.

The fruit of the labor will be evident in the future.

In other words, even though it looks like working hard for God's providence may seem like you are defeated, but you will win the game.  Along the way you may be screamed at, called many vile names and even be spit in the face, but you must endure. You must have the resolve in those moments that you will have success in 10 years and if not 10 years you will see success in 20 years. You can scream this out in your mind when you face such difficulty.

"I took every rebuff as a challenge and because of the opposition coming from those people I had more courage to fight against them and win over them. I would sometimes feel like retreating, but because of the enemy, because of the opposition, I could never retire. More than anything else, the vow I took before God is always with me. When I took my oath before God, He was confident I could do the job. I took the vow when I was at the zenith of my zeal and enthusiasm."

Even though you know that God is there helping you out, you must be confident to think that without God's help you are going to carry out the mission.  When you encounter hunger, think of a situation where you could be more hungry and then you can endure the hunger and continue on the path.  When faced with these situations, you can look at those who are in a more poor condition than your own.

In face of any difficulties, you must be able to say, "Come what may, I can have my courage doubled and tripled in face of more difficulties. "

When your dignity is offended you must imagine a time when you were more offended and degraded.  If you can realize a purpose in five years time where it took others 10 years, then you are determined to endure the double efforts.  If you want to shorten the time period first imagined, then you must triple, and quadruple the effort to compensate for that time.  You should be ready to do twice as many obstacles and encounter twice as tough situations if you are going to shorten the time.

Youth is a dynamic power. 

If your friends, relatives, neighbors, and nation oppose you and are against you, you can cut them all off and do the divine job and fight.

Set the goal that you can be triumphant to the point where God cannot not follow the difficult path.  At every moment of our lives, the question where do you put that goal?

For instance, if you have to do your work at a certain time, but you determined to get up two hours early and you arrive an hour early, some would feel that while waiting they will doze off. If those people are situated where they have to fight through a fierce battle without sleep, it would mean defeat for them. This is the point that will determine your success or failure.

Victory means that you have more power over other people.

Every moment of our lives, where there's any event, you will determine for yourself whether you are going to be victorious or defeated.

Whenever there's a new event in your nation, you must be resolved to participate in it and win over other people, to be patient, and to be confident. You must throw away the old way of thinking: "Well, God is there, and if I pray hard, He will help me. "

God does not work in this way and it will not happen.  You must make the effort to do your utmost best.  When you work hard toward the goal, for the part that you cannot carry out, you can pray before God and then He will help you.

This is the way to pray before God when there is a difficult task.  Resolve to accomplish the goal even if you might not be able to get adequate sleep.  If you were to start getting sick, you can say that this was happening because you wished it, then the disease would be fearful of such a person and back away.

When  you endure many sleepless nights, your brain may become brighter and brighter.  Have the insight to pierce through the future and determine with your utmost as this is what most people do not do.

From this viewpoint, can you really be resolved to take responsibility for this nation? You must beat against the nation, until the nation resounds and echoes to the call. Stir up the nation so that you rouse the Christians. We are not talking about shooting your enemies with pistols.

Shoot the hearts of the people with love.

The question is, where is the boundary point of our victory?

If you are as confident as that, and if a man of that confidence and a woman of that confidence were to be marry, they would find perfect balance in their marriage.   When you are blessed in holy matrimony you shouldn't think that your happiness as a family will be everything.

It is the woman's way of life to feel happy deep in her heart after actually making her husband happy first.

Your job is to make your spouse happier than you, without his or her being conscious of it.
 

After thinking of the husband's happiness first, then the wife can express her happiness.  There was a married couple where the woman expressed her happiness everywhere and would even scream she was so happy.  After awhile the husband grew to dislike her.

It is natural for a married woman to want to be well dressed and have the best jewelry because she is married, but before doing that, you should want your spouse to glitter and shine.  This is the way a couple helps one another in a partnership.

Divine Principle ideology profess that when you are made a couple, you are one, and with the magnetic power of love created between the two, they can attract other families and end their disunity.  This is the way to win more and more families to God's side.

The ideal couple will have such influence more not when they are living the luxurious life, wearing glittery clothing, eating the best foods or driving the best cars.  The ideal couple that lives in poor conditions that experiences misery and many difficulties yet they still shine, other families will know that you have an ideal family life.

Your exemplary family should be like a lighthouse for those in the corrupted world where families are disunited.  Your family must become the norm for corrupted families. Your family should become the norm for the secular family.

You must never complain about your spouse, saying, "Oh, she's an Oriental girl, she's shorter, she's not beautiful, she's not smart," because God chose her. However ugly he or she may be, whatever defects he or she may have, in God's eyes he or she has a certain place.

When one lives this type of life working hard for the mission moving from place to place, they will see that there are not too many places that are tidy and clean.  By living in such ugly and dirty places, it is to one's advantage and practical  to have an ugly spouse rather than a glamorous, tidy girl who might not like the place.

If there is disunity in the family, everything will be shattered into pieces and there is no way to influence other people.  There is a saying "How can one rule the nation if they cannot keep their own household in order?".

Next comes the church as a whole. The Unification Church is a unified family with couples of various types and nationalities.  If one thinks that it is easy to unite all the various couples, they are deceiving themselves.

You deal with different faces and different backgrounds.  There is Oriental, Occidental, black, white and yellow where there are vast differences not only in culture but ideals.  So, what is the secret to handle this group?  Money, power?  Is this an everlasting way to unity?  Then what?

It is the power of True Love.
