We Imprisoned God's Heart

My own pain and grief are nothing. God has not been able to fulfill His role as God. You must understand that God's bitter tears which melt the marrow of His bones and His bloodstains which spread throughout the course of history are crying out from the ground.

I have been doing this work because I know that the mission remains to liberate God from His anguish.

Since humanity caused God such grief, we must liberate God who is confined by love.  It is the same as Him being in prison.

God has to be set free.

God intended for the ideal world to be established based on love, but it was snatched away by Satan.  Thus, God could not be liberated in heart from losing His ideal.  It is the same as a Father who prepares a beautiful nursery and life for his child, only for a the servant to run away with the newborn baby.

God lost His rightful position

How can God''s heart and mind be at rest when His beloved children have died?  With our own efforts, we should liberate God.  He is not free.  He is in confinement after He lost His sons and daughters.

Even if one has ten times the filial piety of the lost filial son, he cannot easily free the original heart of the the parent who lost His sons and daughter.  The situation is worse if he suffered the death of His son of filial piety.

I am going to liberate God.

Why is all-knowing, all powerful God full of grief and distress?

Those who work hard in this world during their youth are assured to enjoy a hopeful future.  God has painstakingly invested all of His efforts since the beginning of history, but when did He ever have hope in the world of peace He envisioned?

When has his dream ever been fulfilled?

How old do you think God is?  God transcends the universe, so He does not have an age.  God is beyond the solar system.  What is there to calculate?

God, who is our Parent, is unable to free Himself from lamentation unless all His children are free from lamentation.  How is it possible for even a human parent to live comfortably while their loving children live in anxiety?

This is why we should liberate God who is stuck in such a situation.

How is it possible to liberate God?

We are responsible to find the realm of liberation where God can freely love all of humankind.  Since humankind was corrupted through the Fall, we must liberate God by becoming children who are victorious over the Fall.

What happened because of the Fall?

After the first parents went against God's ideal, He was shackled and restrained and so were the first ancestors of the human race and the realm of angels.  Countless religious people and saints have struggled against these shackles along with all of humankind.

A child who does not demonstrate filial piety restrict their parents.  How can a parent have absolute freedom with their child who is not a true object partner of love?

The parents can only be liberated when the child displays filial piety that is greater than his impiety.  He also must be officially recognized by the general public.  Only then will he be able to cleanse himself from his past sins.

This is heavenly law.


By the same principle, I do not need people who say, "I will live only for you, Father." The neighbors, this nation, this people -- they are all a pitiable lot.  I am glad they will attend both parents, but why live in a small cottage for tens of thousands of years for parents? They are a pitiable people. 


We must guide those pitiable people who are penniless and poor.  Also those who have failed to obtain God's blessings, where will they go and live without someone to care for their well-being?

God could not function as God

We must persist on this path to restore humanity's pitiful situation to an ideal world until the planet Earth, the spirit world, and ultimately the heart of God is liberated.

We must ultimately liberate humankind, the spirit world and God. 

If loving parents have a rebellious son, their hearts will not be liberated until they see that child rise to a position where he freely fills his parents' expectation of a filial child.

This is probably the first time you are hearing this.  We throughout religious history have sought God to liberate us from our dire situations, but in fact, we have to liberate God.

We should know and understand that God's true heart has been restrained and needs to be freed.

God had created Adam and Eve as His greatest partners of love.  Humanity is God's partners of love.  In the vertical position they have a parent-child relationship with God.  Horizontally they were created to become husband and wife centered on God.

Then God would have been able to practice all the ideals of love in heaven and on earth.  Yet, when Adam and Eve did not center their love on God, He lost everything and ended up in prison.

How is that possible?

God is a being of love, without His object partners to give and take with love, He is kept from truly expressing the desires of His heart.  It is the same as a spouse who has run away from their responsibilities.

If one has not established a base of heaven while on earth, there is no foundation for him to go to heaven in spirit world.  As the Bible says, what is loosed on earth is also loosed in Heaven.  You must experience the four realms of heart while of earth before entering spirit world.

Father Moon speaks of His heartfelt experiences with God while imprisoned in North Korea for teaching Christianity:

"Even when I went to prison and manacles were placed on my wrists, they could not restrain me because I had love. When I was in a cramped position that made it hard to sleep, I woke up at night to find light shining from my hand. Why was there light? It was because God was embracing me. I discovered His love.

That is why light could shine even in that dark room. If I sat quietly and reverently in the corner of a prison cell after hearing someone groaning and crying, the following day people would give me packets of rice powder. 

They had heard a distant voice, 'If you don't give this food to this particular prisoner, all the prisoners and even your family will be uncomfortable.'  Therefore they followed."

God is a God of love.

Members, therefore should not be an ungrateful group of people who persecute such a God, during the times of suffering.

God has searched for thousands of years for a people that thirst for faith and hope burning with love that want to unshackle God on the account of humankind.

He looked for people who say, "God was accused by Satan because of me; He was imprisoned because of me; Jesus died on the cross because of me; the Holy Spirit went through a bloody history of struggle on my behalf.

God please give me strength.  I will bring rest and liberation to the Father, Jesus and the Holy Spirit."

God had no foundation on which to stand because there was not a devoted son through which people could uphold the heavenly kingdom by fulfilling the way of a loyal subject, saint and divine son or daughter.

If God and Satan were fighting, who would stop the fight?  Would the fight just automatically end between the two?

Is it possible that just one day Satan will surrender on his own and the world would automatically enjoy peace?

God has carried the sorrow in His heart from the situation of the heavenly kingdom.  God has been incarcerated and confined from exalting His absolute love and authority upon the earth.

Do you know of any grandfather or grandmother which God has been seeking for thousands of years?  What about a mother or father, a wife or husband who God has searched for?  Have you ever met a true son or a daughter whom God is seeking?

Because of the fall, you have not met such a person.  Who can sever the chains which have bound this heart?  How will we be able to dissolve the bitterness of this quest?

God can do anything at will, but because of the reality of unprincipled love His hands have been tied. 

Who has ever known how much He has suffered under lasting regret and sorrow?  Who understands how unimaginably weary he is?

People in the church pews cry out for the God of glory to give them blessings.  But God is not that kind of God.  On the contrary, God is a miserable God.

God's sorrowful situation can be liberated through the birth of a son.

Hence, you must liberate God.

If you are not able to free God from the pains of humanity's fall, then there is no way to create the heavenly path and make straight a way for the ideal world to be established on earth.  This is the history and the mission of the Unification movement to rectify this fallen history.

These core teachings, sermons and words can liberate God's heart.  God is suffering in grief because of the Fall.

From the outset, the history of such lamentation has been a global one.

Thus, Paul has said that all of the creation, our ancestors and each of us wait in eager longing for the appearance of God's true sons and daughters.

We are living in the age where the truth which the Book of Revelations speaks about is being revealed.  Through the practice of these teachings we will separate ourselves and God from that realm of grieving.

World Champion of Public Way

Eating is truth, and love between husband and wife is truth, and giving birth to children is also truth. No matter how old you may be, still you want to give birth to a child. Some girl may say she is afraid to get married because eventually she has to give birth to a child; she doesn't know what truth is. But when she is thirty or forty then she understands and wants very much to have a baby. I think that is true. This is true everywhere.

We are going forward for the sake of the world and spirit world.  While we are doing this, everything around us will be left behind.

Those living in spirit world know that club dancing is wrong because of its selfish purposes along with drugs and smoking cigarettes which are harmful to our temple.

Satan uses these weapons as his tools to lure people away from following God's way.

We will do away with those things.

Don't go to a cabaret to dance, but dance in your home. 

If a father, mother and the children were to dance in their home that would be all right because it does not have the sexual connotations or selfish reasons, but can bring about unity.

Those who have passed into the spirit world are able to look into the world and observe everything that is bad going on earth.  We should wipe all of this out which is bad.  T

he prostitution and immorality that is happening within the city limit must be eliminated.  How does such behavior promote peace or national sovereignty?  Does a country move forward that promotes such behavior?

You may think that the work that you do is trivial, but you should know that in a year, everything will be better.  Every decade will be better than the decade before.  We should have a clear vision of where we are going now we know there is hope for the future.

You may say that you are just an ordinary person without much significance and don't want the world.  Y
ou might say that you just want to live with your own individual family  If you refuse to do such work, you will be fencing yourself in without a foundation once you go to spirit world.  You should be able to go everywhere freely without boundaries once you are in spirit world.

But if you just stay in the same position while here on earth, you will be unable to go beyond your fence as well when you reach the world of spirit. No one will be able to break that fence down to free you.

There are many Christians who believe that just merely believing in Jesus that when they reach the next world all of their problems will automatically be eradicated.

But once you reach that world, you cannot go beyond what you were while you were on earth.

You would regret everything so much once you know that this was all explained to you when you could easily do the work of restoration here on earth.

Once it is bound in spirit world, you must return to earth again and work through people who do not recognize you.  This explains the phenomenon of many spiritual experiences people are having in these last days.

This is a miserable situation and may take thousands of years for you to restore yourself back to your original position before the fall which takes years while on earth.


If I didn't know about the spirit world, I would not live the way I do. I would be easy-going like you. I am smarter than you and have many skills, and still I work harder because I know about the spirit world. That gives me conviction and strength. Even if the whole country comes against me, I couldn't stop, because l know that whatever I fail to do here I will have a harder time doing there.


To break barriers is never easy.

Once Father would get to the fence or barrier of a country, he would just kick it open and all of Satan's people would shout in retaliation and accuse him.  This speech was given in 1981: has there been any other time before where somebody kicked open a big barrier like a nation's fence and make all kinds of commotion?


We are supporting President Reagan so that a Christian revival can be made possible through the conservative ideals. As soon as the Reagan administration takes office, the communists will start to demonstrate against the new administration all around the country. Even Mr. Reagan is not thinking about it but also getting ready for that event.


When the Communists demonstrate, you should be in the front line to fight against them.

Many people may ask why a religious organization is fighting communism instead of loving them.  Communist have their focusing on entirely dominating the world with their God-denying ideology through force.

If the communists nations were working for the sake of mankind and for God's dispensation, then they would be helpful to the work of world peace and we would work with them.

But the atheistic communist doctrine teaches that it is necessary for the social classes to struggle and clash. Communists believe in confrontations between different parts of society not true unity.  God's ideal is centered on unity, not confrontation.  The one who strikes first always loses.

Communism promotes promiscuous sex, homosexuality, club dancing, and drugs.  It urges people to create a world of hell by centering their whole lives on themselves forgetting about family and society.

We cannot let that teaching continue to influence the world.

The public way would be to fight against communism.  We do it for the sake of the country, world and God.  If we had not fought, then the people of religion will be destroyed.

The Messiah has the foresight to see that communism could pose a threat and that we must take a stand against it.  As a side note, the Washington Times played a major role during the Cold War that aided in the victory of Ronald Reagan in bringing the wall down in Russia.


Only after listening to my words have you come to know my real value and the value of the Unification Church. I am not doing all these activities because I am dumber than you; if what I am doing looks obscure, it's because I am way ahead of everyone else in my vision. Eventually, everyone will conclude that this is precisely what should be done.


We clearly must have an ideal for a public life, a public way.  If we don't have one, then when it is time to decide which direction to take, we will be thrown into confusion and disunity.  But if we clearly know the public way, then we can always become successful.

We know that 'God' is a good word, but for some reason it has become negative when people speak in frustration screaming out, "Oh God!".  What they are really saying is that they want God instead of Satan who stole the central position.

It happens many times where someone was on the pathway toward God, yet ended up under Satan instead.

When you are happy or unhappy, you have experienced tears at both times.  But the quality of those tears makes the difference.

Therefore, just because you are crying does not mean you are in heaven or hell.

What do you think God would like most?

God would like religious meetings!

Throughout the ages, there have been many forms of religions and now religion has come to a very high level.

In America, there are many people of all religious backgrounds, but in other countries, people only worship in one way.

There are also five different colors of skin here, but in most countries, there is just one color.  We see that throughout history that when a better religion comes into being, the established religions always challenge and compete with it.  Finally, the higher level of religion emerges from this.

Now, the Unification Movement is confronted by Jews, Christians and communists.

The content of the Divine Principle, which upon this blog is based, members believe the words are good and they know them to be true.  But members do not really want to act on them.

We like the idea of fundraising, but you do not actually want to fundraise.

Young people from all over the world have come to compete in a religious Olympics.

People accuse Father of breaking up families and brainwashing people to hear this truth.

But all of spirit world knows that we are good.  All the world is going against the champion of religion.  Where as in the spirit world, they are cheering you on as you do the work of restoring the world.

Is our score in this competition better than the world's score?  You champions are not so great, but you have a great coach.

The champion who is able to go out when the coach give direction, wins all the time.  Then the world would praise the coach and say he is really something.  Will you be defeated or will you win?  Do you pay a lot of attention to home church now.

If you do not have that confidence, how will you be able to break through even one barrier here?

Once you are able to finish home church, you then are given credit for doing all the rest of the work.

Think that the arena where you fight for the title match against evil is in your home church.  We have a world champion in this movement and we are competing among ourselves.

Are you the Church champion at winning, or are you the champion at losing?

There was a member who was fundraising who was a teacher before he joined.  He really enjoyed his work, but after joining for one year and three months, he said he had learned more than he had learned in his life.

He was thankful for being given the gift of the teachings of the Divine Principle.  Father shouted out, Oh God!" at such a person who could see the gains he was making in his life.

Your Home church area is the dividing way between heaven and hell. 

Those who were not able to have success in the home church providence will wonder why such a mission was created because if it did not exist they would be free to move about in spirit world.

Those who are in spirit world who successfully witnessed in the their Home Church area would speak up and say that they did as they were instructed and were successful and that is why they were able to be in heaven.

There may be a fighter who is a champion in his local area, but if he loses the fight on the national level, then he is a loser.

The person who did the work of fundraising getting persecuted and shedding many tears will have an easier time witnessing to the 360 homes in his area and become successful in a short period of time.

You are trained in the champion way.

If you were to go up in a rocket ship, you would not eat the usual food.  You must eat what is available in the capsule.  In this case, then you must eat and be able to digest the Principle food here that is prepared.  These are serious words.

Once you enter the ring, fighting with all your might would be the right thing to do.  If you don't fight, that would be wrong.  Inside the ring, hitting and fighting well is your virtue, but outside the ring that is different.

Home church is the public way. 

You have been given the best present that mankind has ever had.

With this weapon and this food of truth, you will never be defeated by going this way.

Like dedicated runners who jog everyday, you should jog to home church.   You will destroy the walls between individuals and families.  Walls between 'white' people and other races will crumble.  You will enable everyone to move back and forth freely.

If you were to say that you don't like the public way, then you are retreating to hell.

You are doing good work when you are going the way you are supposed to.  Have you ever thought that after you do home church that then you will go to other countries?

Laid upon that foundation, you can think that millions of people will act upon your direction in the future.

Will you go into the arena of home church now?

That would be the ring which you fight the championship bout.

You must truly understand and know the public way.  Once you turn into the direction of the private way, you will be declined and blocked wherever you go.

You always should check yourself in this situation.


A straight line passes through the three points of the past. present and future. If the central point turns around, will all the rest turn too? Since this line is the axis, it will turn. If heaven will make the axis spin, then everything else will tend to spin, too. As long as you maintain a public position, if heaven spins then you spin accordingly. 


As long as the three points are in a straight line, when the axis spins, everything will automatically spin.  The center will always need more power in order to spin.  What would be the power that is strong enough to move everything around and still have power left over?

It is the power of love.

Could America spin around with the power of love?

When life and love come into harmony, then they are strong enough to move the whole cosmos.

When we make the statement that God is love, we mean He is in the center.  To be public is to connect to the axis of love.  Each individual, and nation each level must connect to that axis.

Sacrificing is not bad at all.  Love is all good.

When your parents keep hounding you to study, it is good just as long as they do so with love.

Sacrificing is not bad at all; love is all good. 

No matter how much a person bothers you, if he does it with love, then you must accept that as being good.

God urges you to sacrifice because He wants to bring you to a higher level of love.

Thus, you should bear the heavy burden and important responsibility.  If you are able to persevere, then you can become the axis of love.  Right in the center.  This is why you are urged to sacrifice and suffer.

If one runs away from the work because it is too hard, could he become the center?

Through love, Father was able to become stronger than the communists and nothing else.


I have been strong and unafraid of anything. I am the point connecting the present time to the axis of love, and when I go around in love, the universe will go around with love.  Once I teach you, whether you pass or fail is entirely up to you. If you fail, it does not mean this is a bad school. It's the other way around, in fact.


If there is a school that was so strict that many students fail, then that school would become well respected.

This teaching is a rigorous standard, with no compromise.

The world will come to understand that this is a true school.  It is up to you whether you want to go through this tough course successfully working for others. There have not been many members who have been going the way which will yield success.

Stay with the public way all of the time.

You can forget eating or drinking, but you cannot neglect the public way. 

This way of life of spreading the truth is more important than loving, eating or anything else.

When you are hungry or do not get enough sleep, you may wonder why you work so hard going this way.

You would like to go on Christmas vacations once a year and perhaps there is someone you really like to see.  These are the difficult things that you must overcome and give up.

Do you not pity the young people who do not know who they are and which direction they are going?

They take drugs without knowing what they are truly getting into.  Living for just their carnal desires, there is no future doing that.

When you understand and know the love of God, you must still go the public way no matter how hardened your body may become.

Once you are married, would you want to just give up and get divorced?

Even after you get together, you still have to sacrifice and continue working for the sake of the country.  Once you secure the country, then you have to work for the world.  You still have all of these goals ahead of you.

Your spouse should be really close.  He would be like your friend or your comrade.

During combat, your friend is more than a companion, he becomes like one of your legs.  Your spouse is to be closer than that.

Without a family, you will not come to the love of God. The family is the axis of love, and this is why you love your family.

Even if you are fighting the war for the country, the family is still the nuclear unit.

You should have the kind of thinking that through the work of your family, the world will turn around.
If you are unable to think in this way, then you forget about everything else and just enjoy your family, then your family will perish.

We see many families who are prosperous, and live only for the prosperity of their own family.  But then they leave nothing behind and the children decline.  What use is it to accumulate a lifetime of wealth if the children do not have the means to carry on?

A family that cannot live for others would be like a thief of the heavenly country.

Love yourself so that you can become strong and be an axis which the entire world can depend on.

You are not loving yourself for your convenience, but for the destructive element of the world.  By loving the world, you automatically become the central shaft.  Everyone knows how to love themselves first, but the public way is to love the world, and then for that reason love yourself.

Once you reach that level of loving, everything will come to you.

On the outside, Satan's way tries to look like God's way, but God is living for the sake of the world, while Satan is living for the sake of himself.

You don't have to sit and ponder what your accomplishments will be, if you are able to live in the public way, then your future will be bright automatically.

Likewise, you don't have to worry about the future.  On the other hand, if you work just for your own profit, then you will automatically be headed for hell, with no way to turn around.

As long as you work in the public way and follow the Principle direction,  you will win every time.  As long as this is true, whether you go to heaven or hell is up to you.

You follow this way because it is the fastest and easiest route to the country and world levels.

If future Presidents and world leaders were able to follow this way, then World Peace would quickly be brought about.

People asked where the Kingdom of Heaven is.  Jesus replied that it was in every person's mind.  We must know how we are seriously standing at the borderline of heaven or hell and we must persevere to win.

There is no substitute for winning.

Are you able now to forget about all of the past attachments and realize the public road, continuing on until you win the final victory?

Control Fleshly Desire, Gain the Universe

Those who live according to the flesh have their minds set on what the flesh desires; but those who live in accordance with the Spirit have their minds set on what the Spirit desires.

The mind that is governed by the flesh is death, but the mind governed by the Spirit is life and peace. The mind governed by the flesh is hostile to God; it does not submit to God’s law, nor can it do so. Those who are in the realm of the flesh/body cannot please God.

Mind and Body Unity

There was a time that man could communicate directly to God.  This was the state of sinlessness that we witnessed before the Fall.  This is the state of having mind and body unity; a state of the spirit leading the body or flesh.

Is it possible for us to have mind and body unity - for the flesh and spirit to unite into one?  If so, when and where will this happen?  It's not really a question of if it will happen because man must absolutely return to the state of sinlessness.

If the mind and body are moving in different directions they will never find unity.  On the other hand, if the mind and body can welcome each other and move in the same direction, then they will work in harmony instead of be in conflict.

Many ask why God does not make our mind and body unify if He is such a powerful God.

The author of the Divine Principle which this blog is based on discussed about his time in prison for teaching about God during the Japanese occupation in Korea which he relied on this principle of mind and body unity:

"I have experienced the harshest life in a prison labor camp and I found that actually the greatest suffering is not found in prison but in the conflict between mind and body. Sinful man always regrets the consequences of his body struggling against his mind.

I ultimately came to the conclusion that my enemy is not the world or even the communists but my own body. Your worst enemy is your body. 

Do you believe it? I established one very firm principle for myself, that I must conquer myself before having dominion over anything else.

Each of you is also committed to a ruthless battle of subjugating your own body. Your job is to have your body surrender to your mind and then bring it in the same direction. That is why a religious life is the pursuit of conquering your body.

If you have not conquered your own body then you haven't reached the standard yet.

Religion teaches the importance of a life of penance; when your body wants to rest then you should wake up and pray. Your body wants to eat delicious meals but religion teaches the value of fasting.

What the body wants the mind rejects.

What is gained by living that way?

By giving up your body you can receive the entire universe, so it's a very good deal in a way. By giving up a little bit of your flesh you can gain the entire universe.

This is absolutely true.

Why is it that you cannot feel the love of God all the time?

Your body is the barrier preventing the love of God from reaching you. God's love is shining forth but your body is blocking it, so by sacrificing your body and liquidating the barrier so the shining love of God can freely reach you.

Once this happens nothing will be in your way and the total unity between God and man and mind and body can become a living reality. Once you can receive God's love, God will certainly dwell with you. God needs true love and cannot leave it once He has found it.

Do you really understand this now?

What you ultimately need the most is the love of God. Do you know how beautiful and how powerful the love of God is?

In this world men and women have romances and say they could die for love of each other, but suppose they were to fall in love with God first. 

That's the key.

I searched and found how that love of God can be reached. I not only found the answer but have experienced how the love of God can reach man. With the love of God the mind and body can unite in total oneness.

The love of God needs an object in order to manifest; man is that object. When will this become reality? Religions have been teaching that the end of the world will occur when one central figure comes, or in Christian terms the Lord of the Second Advent.

The love of God will be seen where the Messiah and his bride meet for the heavenly wedding ceremony.

Is that place a horrible scene of judgment or a scene of cosmic spring and the fulfillment of love? God works logically and through your own mind you know that the first heavenly family will bring the cosmic spring."SMM

The Messiah will first reconcile the body and mind

The family is the building block of the kingdom of heaven on earth first.  We believe the road to world peace will begin through the nation or on the world-wide level, but it starts with the husband and wife.  The ideal of the heavenly four realms of heart or four-position foundation is a strong point that should be taught: God, man and woman and heavenly children centered on God's love.

When the four realms create a relationship centered on God's love, this completes the circuit for the expression of His love.  This is where the perfection of love is born and the heavenly kingdom will expand over time.  This four-position relationship in each family is duplicated and expands.

What is the Lord of the Second Advent or the second messiah's mission when he returns?

Jesus Christ was to realize a physical Heaven on Earth, not just a spiritual path to Heaven.  Are we currently able to live in a Utopia?

No, Christians surmount that we can only have true peace once we shed our bodies and enter the realm of spirit.  This is why the Messiah returns.  To bring physical salvation.

When he comes it is asked in the bible, will he find faith?

So, will he be spending his time visiting countries to heal people with cancer and feed the poor?  In a way he will be.  He will be giving spiritual food to humanity in order to unite their mind and body with the fire of God's love.

That's the job of the Messiah. If he can ignite the love of God in your heart so that your body and mind can become one, then he has done his job. 

After the mind and body are united you can follow his pattern and create a family, tribe nation and world and ultimately the Kingdom of God on earth and in heaven. If that is indeed possible the world will see salvation. If God is really God and if His love is really burning then that must all take place here on earth.

God would not create such a world to only be recognized and loved in the world of spirit only and He has never given up the fight to bring restoration back to earth and His children.

He cannot build the Kingdom of Heaven without reconciling the body and mind's contradictory elements.  Jesus said we join him in Paradise which is not Heaven.  The Messiah will give the word to teach us how to subjugate the body which is blocking God's love.

What else does God really need from man?

God has lots of love within Himself so why should He need more?  Is He greedy?


"I am a man so I have love in my heart and in my body, but can I say that I don't need any more love, that I have enough love to be happy? It is a profound truth that love will never become real love until it finds an object."


Even though God is almighty, He still cannot activate love without having an object in which He can have a give and take relationship.

An object ignites love.  

Who is the highest object of God's love?  A monkey?

What else but man can be qualified as God's object of deep love?  Then, does the universal God choose to love just any kind of mind or does He long to deal with one who has a universal mind? Is the mind or body God's real object?  Which one does He relate with love?

Your mind is so big that you can even trap God inside.

Your mind feels like it is big enough to challenge the world.  Every human has the qualification to be the object of God because we are endowed with such a mind that God can deal with.  When God loves you, will He complain how dirty you are after you dealt with the satanic world and push you aside?  Is God's love conditional, partial or total and unreserved?

When God fervently embraces you, this burns away all your sinful past in order to try to give you all of His love.

One who is enraptured in the total love of God, every cell will be filled and there will not be a want for anything further.  You feel totally intoxicated in this state and do not want this goodness to end.  This is the real world in which we live.  Every human is supposed to be host to such a love.  Don't we want to have even a taste of such a world now?

This is why we desire and long for World Peace.

The teachings of Reverend Moon is for the purpose to lead humanity toward such a world of peace and love.  But many people believe him to be a hustler or that he is deluding members and people to a beautiful idea in order to enslave everybody for his own selfish purpose.

How do you know this is not so?

Even if he is a swindler, a better solution has never been found in all of history in order to bring about Heaven on Earth.  He is like the plus pole trying to put a fire under the cold and sleepy minus world.

Plus and minus instantly spark when they first unite, but this world has become so numb that this connection has been lost.  It takes a lot of effort to wake up this sleepy world and put a spark that will jump us awake.

Both God and man are in the same tragic situation because their common purpose has not been fulfilled.

What kind of God is He, and why does He approach man?

God and man definitely need one another so there is a common goal or purpose that they both want to achieve to seal this bond where we can meet or else we cannot unite.  We need to know the importance of the relationship of God and man.

Man have used money, knowledge and experience to be able to survive on this earthly plane.  But, does God need these things from man?

No.

There has to exist a common purpose where God needs man and man needs God.  This common purpose has somehow not been fulfilled.  This is the tragedy of both God and man.

Where can we find a remedy for the conflict between our mind and our body trying to dominate the other.  There must be something wrong in our hearts to cause this conflict.  In the original world before sin sprouted, there was a place where both God and man dwell, but somewhere along the way man separated himself from this place and lost connection to God in the process.


Concluding that there is a perfect God and realizing the imperfect state of man today we must come to one logical conclusion: Man is the one who is out of order, not God. Man deviated from his original state and is thus prevented from reaching perfection.


If we reconcile this imperfection of man we can soon connect to the perfection of God.

When we acknowledge the repercussions of the Fall of man, we realize the existence and perfection of God.

This information is very precious.

Many blame God for the situation and state of the world today, but the fault does not lie within God, but in man.  At the same time, through this knowledge we can explain the imperfection and the self-contradiction dwelling in man.

God lives in a perfected state while after we lost our direct connection to God we experienced struggle between our mind and body.  Once we know the true fault of the fall, we can logically justify the existence of a perfected loving God and sinful man.

It is from this point that two worlds came into being instead of just the original pure one God intended.

The world of goodness is governed by God and the world of evil is the result of the fall. 

We cannot accept the premise of atheists that there is no God due to the imperfection of man. We know the Principle. After knowing this we can recognize how the God of perfection has been making efforts throughout history to restore the corrupted world into goodness. Religion testifies to God's efforts.

What is the purpose of religion?

Religion is God's tool to communicate to this imperfect world and raise up good men.  In other words, religion strives to bring this fallen world closer to God.

So, what is goodness?

Anything that tries to bring unity between God and man is good.  People are in the dark about how to define goodness.  

Is hard work, eloquent speech, fasting an example of goodness?

Good springs from love. 

All religion teaches love as the source because it is the common purpose shared by God and man.  Religion has been making effort toward unity between God and man by stressing the common purpose of love.

God's search for men of goodness has love as the ultimate goal and man is searching for God for the very same reason.

The Satanic World is Declining

Welcome back to Achieve World Peace!  Hope everyone's holiday was full and eventful and we are all refreshed for a new year and new month of blogs.

Look forward to upcoming interesting topics continuing the subject of marriage and how to reach perfection through mind and body unity.  Today's topic was taken from a speech given by founder Dr. Reverend Sun Myung Moon to Unification Theological Seminary graduates during the International Leaders' Conference.


To Seminary Graduates

"How well do you know me? I would like to speak especially to graduates of the Unification Theological Seminary to begin with. There are two hundred sixty-four seminary graduates here. Let me ask you, do you know me? How well do you know me?

You know me according to your own observation, through your life experiences, according to your upbringing and education. You come with those experiences and try to understand me in your own way. Each True Child even has their own perception and understanding of True Parents. How can we arrive at a common understanding?

You may go out partying with a friend, and think you know that friend quite well, but you do not know the depths of that person. Watch how he overcomes great peril and you may find an incredible kind of courage and strength of character in him. The true side of that person emerges in a crisis, when life and death hang in the balance.

Observing how that person reacts to those situations gives the best insight into that person's true nature. A truly noble person is the one who, even in the face of utmost danger, does not bend his principles, but risks his life trying to live up to his convictions. Nobility and divinity can be seen in such a person. God must be looking for such an individual, so that God can entrust him with the responsibility of accomplishing His program.

When you pursue the noble ideal of God, all of a sudden you will encounter incredible danger, not only to yourself, but also to your family and your children; you will be confronted by many difficulties. Are you going to turn around, think twice, and go in a different direction, or will you pursue your original commitment? What you would do under such circumstances is the most crucial question any man or woman can face.

For God and the spirit world there is no death, so God's way is to overcome difficulty and move forward. There is no possibility that God will wiggle out of difficulty, or change His mind and retreat. God is looking for a similar character in men and women. Even though God never dies, He is always ready to give every ounce of His energy to the last minute. He can endure even the difficulty and suffering of death. He can overcome and transcend all hardship.

Since such commitment and determination are always there, there is no failure on God's part. Everything God does is always perfect. Even in the fallen world, if there is a person living such a godly way of life, moving forward towards the goal with untiring, undaunted commitment, that person will certainly not fail, but will eventually succeed.

God's way is the public way. On the other hand, Satan is going to face the difficulty of death centered upon himself; therefore, he always feels endangered. Satan easily retreats and gives up. When faced with the way of death, Satan will say, "No, I don't need it. I would rather go the other way." Therefore, the satanic world has an end. Satan operates with a limit. That is the difference between the heavenly way and the satanic way.

The moment Satan sees that his neck is going to be cut off, he says, "No more. I won't go there." In contrast, the heavenly way surmounts all limits. The difference between good and evil is apparent, with God's way of life representing the good side and Satan's way of life representing the evil side.

Therefore, good and evil are clearly manifested in the religious way of life. Religious leaders throughout history have been either very good or very evil. Good religious leaders are always ready to go the way of principle with unbending courage and determination, even unto their deaths. God wants to teach His people the way of overcoming, of committing one's life for the sake of principle, for the sake of goodness."

 

Love that Goes Beyond Death

When one reads Bible passages, they are sure to encounter verses that seem to contradict one another.  For instance, "For whoever would save his life will lose it, and whoever loses his life for my sake will find it."

Sometimes husband and wife get together and ask each other: "How much do you love me?" You answer, "Well, I love you so much, Honey." Many children will answer, "I love Daddy thiiiiiiis much." The ultimate answer is: "Even unto my death, my love for you shall not change. Even if I die I will come back to love you more; death shall not stop me loving you."

If any wife was to receive this answer from her husband, she would give him an medal and say ,"You are a really truthful, God-centered, wonderful husband.  You are my hero. Centering upon this love, we will always be together. In life and after death, we will be together."

Such a couple becomes a explosive force of true love. This realm will b the love kingdom of heaven, where love reigns and prevails. Jesus told his disciples to love him more than they loved their own family. This means that even if our life is sacrificed we will not separate from the Messiah or the life-giving word of God.

As long as there is life, there is unity, harmony, and oneness. Jesus also said that those who love their wives, husbands, children, or family more than him are not worthy of him. He also said that unless we bear our own cross and follow him, we are not worthy of him.

Let's examine these verses once more.

There is always a double meaning in the teachings of Jesus: love me more than your family; even if you sacrifice them, still you must follow me.

Furthermore, following my way is not easy: you have to bear your cross, committing yourself without regret. The cross means death; but even though we are bearing the cross, we cannot stop loving Jesus, the son of God.

That simple principle of how to gain your life for eternity prevails here on earth and in the entire spirit world. You must follow that principle in order to win your life for eternity. It is the most simple truth, but we find it is very difficult to practice.

This simple principle is the way to gain an eternal life and the way prevails here on the earth and in the entire spirit world.  All of humanity must follow that principle in order to win life for eternity.  Even though this truth is very simplistic, it is very difficult for people of faith to put into practice.

Dr. Reverend Sun Myung Moon the founder of UTS gave his account to the graduates of his stay in prison on charges of practicing religion in Korea during Japanese occupation.

"As you know, I have been in prison on many different occasions. When I looked at my hand cuffed arms, I thought, "This is linking me to death; this will pull me to death." I always felt, "I know what kind of person I am and where I am going. Now I may face death. These handcuffs are the witnesses."

The handcuffs signify my last moment of life, my last measure of devotion. Under such circumstances, many people's minds would be shaken, and they would try to dodge the danger and dash to safety. The great man is the one who maintains his original course with unbending spirit and courage. In my entire life I have not learned how to detour.

I am always going straight forward, breaking through whatever obstacle I encounter. It has not been easy. I have faced incredible difficulties, persecution, and torture. It is not easy to remain strong when you are all alone and everybody says: "You are no good; you are going the wrong way."

It is not easy to maintain your course, especially when not only outside people are going against you, but also your own parents, wife, and children leave, when they point their fingers at you, and cast you out. If you were put in solitary confinement, what attitude would you have? I never focus on getting out but on applying myself with greater devotion to my principles.

I know that when I get out and continue pursuing my course, I will again face persecution and rejection, particularly those heartbreaking ones coming from close family members who abandoned me. I came here to save this country

When I came to the United States, nobody knew my true heart and desire. My secret goal was to save this country. I knew that it would not be a happy stay: I had been in prison in North Korea, in South Korea, and in Japan. When I came to the United States, I knew, undoubtedly, that this country would throw me in jail.

In prison, your life is on the line all the time. Within three and one half years after my arrival in the United States, I had turned the United States upside down. I knew that unless I could, there would be no opportunity for me. Initially there was some welcome, but as soon as I had spoken in several cities and people began to listen to my message, that welcome turned into incredible persecution. Initially, newspapers announced my crusade in banner headlines, but day by day, the headlines got smaller and smaller and hidden on the back pages.

I realized that since I would not be known in this country as a good man although I am truly a good man in the sight of God I would rather be known as the most evil man first, and begin the road of restoration from that point. People looked at me with tinted eyeglasses and described me as a brainwasher, monster, mind-controller and slave driver.

I was accused of sending out young people in a virtually starving position to work to death, and then taking their money from them and putting it in my own pocket. When people saw members who didn't speak English, from Japan and other countries, going out and working morning to night and handing over all the money they gained, they called me a slave driver.

I went around to the fifty states of the United States like a whirlwind. Everywhere I appeared, people flocked to hear me, and I was called worse names than the Ayatollah or Mafia leaders. They said that, with my magic power, all I had to do was touch a person's head, and his mind would be controlled. Media played small instances up into dramatic stories. People waited eagerly for the next exaggerated story. When they heard I was coming to a certain city, picket signs would spring up.

People owe me an apology

Still I made up my mind that even though I had the worst reputation, I would turn this nation upside down in three and one half years. Among the two hundred forty million Americans, there were few who did not speak something unkind or evil about Rev. Moon. That means two hundred forty million people know about me; at least that is sure.


They pushed me into a corner, and the ultimate corner was prison. They thought, "Oh, we caught the monster and confined him in Danbury prison." They were watching. The inmates were worried, "Oh, we are living with a monster. What can we do?" The inmates were trembling, but the very first day they found out that I am just an ordinary, good-looking, benevolent grandfather. They were totally surprised to discover that I am the opposite of the way the media portrays me. "Oh, is that the Rev. Moon?" they asked in amazement.

Now, in the end, who won, the United States or me? Americans realized that, yes, Rev. Moon won. Moreover, they give me credit, because they know exactly how the government and the media and the American public treated me. Americans really owe me an apology.

There is a certain fairness about the American public's mind. I can see this is the strategy of God. If you put yourself in a situation of the most incredible suffering and torture, in the end people will surrender out of sympathy. They will repent for the evil they committed. This is the heavenly strategy.

The world that persecuted me is declining. They thought they could flourish by giving me a hard time. On the contrary, the persecutors will diminish, and those who were persecuted will flourish."

I Went to Danbury Without Tears

Reverend Moon has been imprisoned 6 times in different parts of the world and has always been released as innocent even though papers would not report these incidents or hide them on back pages.  Here he gives his account of Danbury prison in America.

"When I set out for Danbury that fateful day, many of you cried. However, I did not. I went to Danbury without shedding tears, because I knew that beyond Danbury lay something greater. Every time I have gone to prison whether in North Korea, South Korea or Japan many people shed tears, but not me.

I always went expecting to come out with a greater plan. When I came out, those who shed the tears were gone. As I entered Danbury, many members and leaders throughout the world repented, with tears streaming down their cheeks, but I was thinking: how many of you will stay faithful and serve me with an even greater determination?

The simple, central truth is that when it comes to your eternal life, no one else is responsible but you. You are the pioneer of your own eternal life. Eternal life cannot be defeated by the hill of death. No matter how many hills you cross, eternal life must survive."

Every Human Born Into Satan's Lineage

We already know this statement to be true, even if in theory.  We know every human is born with sin, has elements of the fall and have to be linked to a Messiah to be saved.  With elements of sin, we are not born into God's pure lineage.  Whose lineage are we born into?  Mary's?

As human beings, you and I were endowed to have dominion even over the angels. That blessing that God had given us has always been our possession.  Satan has tried for millions of years to hide the secrets to open this truth - but with the Messiah's victory, we can begin the process of restoring humanity back to the position before the occurence of the fall.

I suppose this is why we love movies such as this that show the power of man so often that is hidden through super hero movie and countless fantasies.

With the tools of religion and the truth of the Returned Messiah, we can faithfully march forward to rid ourselves of Satan's influence individually and on a family level.

Is this going to be an easy task? Satan has been trying to cover up his true crime since the Garden of Eden. If what happened in the Garden was a literal fruit, then it would be impossible for God to reverse a sin that we as human would inherit for eternity.

The fruit was not literal and we have been attached to Satan's fallen lineage through the blood line. How do you attach through the blood line?

If this already seems heretical, then maybe it is too much for now. I have been studying these 1,000 volume text daily and faithfully for over 7 years because I want to get rid of satan substantially not just conditionally. As a faithful christian, I found just praying and keeping myself sexually pure wasn't enough against the forces of darkness in which you, I and the world are attacked.

Do you think if I only mildly had the truth I would proclaim such a large message about Satan? Everyday, God reveals more truth about the world we live in and I'm coming to see that we barely have been taught less than one percent of the truth.

It would be impossible for anyone to live in this current world completely attached to God's word for they would never be able to see people, watch television, or look at another human. Simple habits we encounter daily  keep us attached to Satan's dominion over us without us even knowing it.

We are fortunate to live in the Last Days where the war between God and Satan will ultimately be won by God through the blood, sweat and tears of his faithful soldiers - you and me.

Responsibility comes with this knowledge and I have witnessed the Divine Principle to my family, friends and everyone I come in contact with and now I am passing this to you my brother and sister.

We must first begin with God's ideal. The current world that we live is not God's ideal of creation, but if we look at God's point-of-view of history, we can see His mighty works to restore humanity back to its original position.


God's Original Plan

The Kingdom of Heaven on earth is a restored world in which Satan can no longer instigate any activity. To realize this world, it is necessary for all humanity to eliminate their common base with Satan and not engage in give and take action with him. This pertains to the prophecy that in the Last Days God will confine Satan in a bottomless pit signifies that Satan will be utterly incapable of any activity, since there will no longer be any counterparts with whom Satan can relate.

That means that you and I have completely eradicated our ties to Satan and humanity no longer is influenced by his works.   

We as a religious community must be honest to the fact that even if we follow God's laws, have daily devotions, are saved, and devout to God's word, you are still surrounded daily by Satan's dominion and influences throughout your walk of life. There will be a day where we will battle with Satan as a united front on God's side and these influences will no longer be our burden.

What a great day this will be for God and humanity!

God is the owner, and we human beings are His sons and daughters. Angels, on the other hand, were created as God’s servants; hence they are also the servants of His children. This was not indefinite. There was a growing period for angels as well as humans. They were to grow to a higher level as they taught humans about the creation. Then they would receive God's love through perfected humans.  Instead we know the outcome. Among all the angels, the archangel Lucifer was the closest to God as well as to Adam and Eve.

Satan knew all the stories behind the scenes. During the process of creating the universe, prior to the creation of Adam and Eve, God would discuss things with the archangel and send him to do his errands. In other words, the archangel was like a servant of a wealthy lord. He was also in the position of a servant to his master’s children, no matter how young or immature they were.

God created the angelic world and assigned Lucifer (Isa. 14.12) to the position of archangel. Lucifer was the channel of God’s love to the angelic world, just as Abraham was the channel of God’s blessing to the Israelites. In this position, he virtually monopolized the love of God.

However, after God created human beings as His children, He loved them many times more than He had ever loved Lucifer, whom He had created as His servant. In truth, God’s love toward Lucifer did not change; it was the same before and after the creation of human beings. Yet when Lucifer saw that God loved His children more than he, Lucifer felt as if there had been a decrease in the love he received from God. This situation is similar to that in the biblical parable of the laborers in the vineyard.

(Matt. 20.1-15) Although the laborers who had worked since morning received a fair wage, when they saw that those who came later and worked less received just as much, they felt underpaid. Lucifer, feeling as though he were receiving less love than he deserved, wanted to grasp the same central position in human society as he enjoyed in the angelic world, as the channel of God’s love.

This was why he seduced Eve, and this was the motivation of the spiritual fall.

Satan's Curse

God cursed the fallen angel, saying, “Upon your belly you shall go, and dust you shall eat all the days of your life.” (Gen. 3.14) “Upon your belly you shall go” means that the angel would become a miserable being, unable to function properly or to perform its original service. To “eat dust” means that ever since the angel was thrown down from heaven (Isa. 14.12, Rev. 12.9), he has been deprived of life elements from God.

Instead, he has had to subsist on evil elements gleaned from the sinful world.
 

Evil started from Satan, who infused into Eve the attitude, “I am the subject; I am the center.” It started with the mentality to boast of oneself, which is evil. God’s original Principle of Creation is, “Live for the sake of others.”

Satanic fallen human nature is, “Live for myself.” You must know the origin of good and evil clearly. Evil people expect others to live for them; God wants to tear down this nature. Jesus also wants to tear it down; that is why he taught: Do not be arrogant, live for others and serve others.

The Fall means that human beings fail to connect with God’s vertical true love and cannot fulfill horizontal true love in their relationships with others. This is because the archangel Lucifer invaded human horizontal love.
 

As the result of the Fall, God lost His children, and we were born into a dysfunctional life, suffering from conflict between mind and body. On this condition, the Devil can inappropriately subjugate human beings as our false father.

Due to the Fall, human beings could not become temples of God; instead, they united with Satan and became his dwelling places to use as he pleased. By being united with Satan, they failed to cultivate the divine nature; instead, they acquired an evil nature. People with evil nature have propagated evil through their children, constituting evil families, evil societies and an evil world.

This is the hell on earth in which we have been living. In this hell, we cannot properly form cooperative horizontal relationships with one another because our vertical relationships with God have been severed. We perform deeds harmful to others because we cannot feel the pain and suffering of our neighbors as our own.

Since humans are living in hell on earth, after shedding their physical body, they naturally enter hell in the spirit world. We have not built the Kingdom of God, but instead established the sovereignty of Satan. For this reason, Satan is called the “ruler of this world” (John 12.31) and the "god of this world" 2 Cor. 4.4

That is why God had sent hundreds of saints and prophets in a desperate effort to give His children weapons against Satan through His word.  That is why He has brought the Messiah to our time so we may unite with him and completely eradicate and sever all ties to Satan and finally fulfill the promise of the three great blessings and bring this world of peace into reality.    This is God's one dream.
