Everything Can Be Lost in a Moment

You could build a foundation of faith that is very strong like many ministers and saints of the past, but it can all be lost within one moment.  Once we realize this fact, we are ever striving to be careful with our words and decisions in every moment.

There is no better way to learn this simple fact than through the record of religious accounts.  The Bible alone can be thought of as a record of God's work to bring His children back to His bosom after we disobeyed through numerous saints, sages and people of faith.

Account after accounts, shows how God had planned victory through His people only for in one single moment of selfishness or lack of faith lost 40, hundreds and thousands of years of foundation laid for such a victorious moment.

Through the people of Israel following Jesus as God's son and raising him as a true king, God planned to bring about heaven on earth through His people conquering Rome during Jesus' life.

Instead, through countless mistakes, this victory would take place 400 years later with thousnds of Christian lives and sacrifices to pay for Jesus' death on the cross.

The purpose that people desire

God does not have a physical body.

Therefore, He manifests through Adam as His body, showing His face through him.

This is the ideal of creation.

God is the original spiritual(vertical) center and Adam is the original physical (horizontal) center.  When these two meet, they generate a 90-degree perpendicular angle.

This was God's purpose for the creation and it is people's desire to have this unity with God.

Had Adam and Eve had chosen to follow God's direction, they would have occupied the positions of true father and true mother eternally in the spirit world.

Yet due to their mistake in following the archangel's desires, this was not possible.  Had there been no Fall, everyone could have gone to Heaven just by simply attending the True Parents, perfect Adam and perfect Eve, just as if they were attending God.

The reason for birth

Everything is round in the created world: the sun, the earth, and the stars.  Even our mouth upon further analysis is round.

No matter what, everything is created that way.  Then the universe makes relationships by going round and round in circular, cyclical movements.

Even if one individual thing has a round shape, it does not exist on its own, but makes a connection with the whole.

This helps explain why we are born?

We are born to beat in rhythm with this vast universe.

The ocean waves that lap against the shore, lap against our hearts as well.  Gentle breezes softly and serenely lull our hearts into serenity.

The flowers which bloom release rich fragrances and stir the fragrance in our hearts.

If we are born, raised, live and die in love, then we can be grateful for our birth, life and death.

Since you were born through your parents love and treasure each other exceedingly, you consider yourselves born as the flags planted through your parents' love.

You are participants in this love.

Being born from that place of your parents' love, you consider yourselves born as the flags planted through your parents' love.  These flags flutter to express love.

God created humanity to live for the sake of love throughout their entire lives.  So, you should wave the flag of love for you mother, your father and for your siblings.

The relationship between a moment and a lifetime

The crossroads of life do not occur over a long drawn out period over time, but it happens in a single moment.

Your living body cannot be perfected unless your entire existence becomes a foundation for absorbing nutrients.  This phenom occurs in the natural world.

People who ignore such a moment, fail to obtain something precious.

Thus, they cannot become great people, nor inherit God's throne and crown.

For the sake of one bright, shining moment, exercise care with each of the words you speak, the action you take, and even each thought you entertain.

You should believe that the content of your family daily life will remain in the relationship to the world as you deal with life and solve problems.

In this way, the realm of victory or failure is determined in such a moment.

It is the same with the historical ream of victory on the cosmic realm.  Those who are able to understand the infinite value of such a bright moment and live accordingly, can become great people, saint, or more importantly, God's sons and daughters.

This point where life and death meet, is just a single moment.

It is necessary to first desire the coming of heaven continuously with faith and wish for His will to be done.

What is more important, is how we become one with God's ideal.

Attitude is the problem.

Of course, first, we must desire for the coming heaven on earth and wish for the Will to be done.  Yet, what is important is how we can personally become one with God's will and take it as our own desire.

We must create environments as individuals, and people that will enable us to inherit God's will.  This is where we can then proceed to establish, a relationship with Heaven.

Throughout the history of God's providence, there were three thousand years beginning from Adam's family  through Noah's Abraham's and Moses families down to Jesus.

In the Adam's family, the fall was not explained just because the fall was not something planned out.  This plan was to be put into action over the span of a year.

If you were given an hour, when centered on God, we make a relationship with His Will.  This is an important issue.

When you look at this failure, we see that, no matter what is presented, it did not occur over the course of a year.

It was not something that was planned to put in action over the span a year, five years or a decade.

Their mistake happened in a flash.

When we think about how that failure of only one moment has been perpetuated over eons of times within humanity, we can understand the fearfulness and dread of repeating that instant in our own life of faith.

Even if we live 40 years as a saint, we can fail God's will in just one moment of weakness.  When you look at the biblical story accounts of many people of faith, it is a record of many failures of God's people to restore God's heaven on earth.

The point Adam and Eve believed in the archangel's words over God's, these became the origin of a humanity needing to make a tremendous offering of indemnity or redemption for this mistake.

When we understand this importance, a single hour that we ordinarily live so casually within our daily lives can become just as fearful for such a mistake to take away years of foundation.

Even moreso, we have to feel how fearful even a moment is, even one second of one hour that goes by as the clock continuously tick.

Even eternal heaven has to exist having an integral relationship with the single moment.

We mistakenly believe that eternity begins when we die, but it begins at the moment we come to know God's will.

Eternity will be interrupted if there is even a short jump in time even if it was just a moment, then eternity will be interrupted.

We should, therefore, not procrastinate while walking this path of faith in the course of our lives.

Do  not procrastinate by deferring your responsibility.  A person such as this will die without ever having spent a day of being one with the Will over the course of their lifetimes.

Then they cannot go to the Kingdom of Heaven.  However good your country of residence may be, you cannot go to the Kingdom of Heaven.

If you are unable to live even one day by a victorious standard, you will not enter the eternal world if you fail to live even one day out of the year for God's providence.

Since we cannot stop and must move forward, believers go forth dreaming of eternity. It is important for believers to go forth dreaming of eternity.

What is even more important for believers is how much evil can be eradicated and whether they have become the standard of goodness.

This is very crucial.

When we look from this perspective, Adam's momentary lapse in judgment led to thousands years of anguish.  God, thus planned for Cain and Abel to dissolve this anguish of their parents and demolish the wall that exists between brothers and create the origin of one true family.

Yet, Abel's murder was also an instantaneous incident that changed God's plan.

During Noah's 120-year course, he toiled to build the ark.  In only a brief moment, God gave the command to board the ship.

Those who followed this order were able to receive the blessings of the eternal God.  Those who did not were buried within the eternal judgment.

The same with Abraham: God's promise that His descendants would be numerous as the stars in the sky and the grains of sand on the seashore. Gen. 22:17

This was bestowed in a twinkling of an eye.

Abraham's sacrificial offering did not require decades, but rather a mere day's work.  The time it took him to cut the offering and place it on the altar, was not an hour, yet that single hour historically bore the seeds of all life and death, or curses and blessings within it.

Today, believers should not dread the visitation of judgment in the Last Days, but the question of how they will harmonize their daily activities and face life's crossroads with God's will.

Value of Sexual Organs - More Than U Thought

Even though Communism was defeated officially through the falling of the Berlin Wall, it still exists and is followed wholeheartedly by multitudes of people through force.

The ideals that we find happiness and salvation through the materials we achieve was based upon, not any religion, but the ideology of Communism.

Communism had a mission to bring about world peace but through force and without God.  In fact, under the communistic regime, anyone who pronounces any sort of faith was murdered or persecuted.

We were able to see the trend of this ideology take over the Western world beginning in the 1980s.
\
The 'me generation' was the first generation which alluded to the fact that the trend of materialism was taking over the ideals of spirituality and religion.

The Me generation was the label given to children raised during that era, who were no longer about humanity and their neighbors, but their own joy, suffering and accomplishments.  It was the first generation, raised by the idealist of the 60s, where America truly begin to see the slip in values.

What is the basis of individualism; where does it begin?

No one can claim anything as his own; God owns everything and bequeaths it to His children.

When a child grows up, through the love of his parents, 99.999 percent of his existence springs from the mother's bone, flesh and blood which combines with his father's .001 percent of the father's sperm.

When you break this down, you do not see any concept of "myself alone" in nature.

Nothing Was Created for its Own Sake

No one is born with the concept of "myself".

No matter how great any of us are, we cannot claim that we became great all by ourselves.  Bone, flesh and blood and the important parts of our body are all inherited from within our mother's womb.

Every essential element of our body is included in the egg and sperm.

There is no exception.  Therefore, there is no base or foundation for any self-centered individualism.

When you think of above, you automatically acknowledge below.  Will individualism be able to stand with the concept of above by itself?

There is not a concept of the individual by itself.

This is not part of the creation which exists in pairs.

When we talk about right, it presupposes the existence of left.  In the relationship between front and back, front presupposes back.  The word man also cannot exist by itself - it presupposes woman.  This is not just the claim of any person, but is a universal fact.

Why did God create man?

Usually a man said that they would be perfectly fine if they live alone by themselves and they do not care why they were created.

Despite this fact, man was created for the sake of the woman.  Without women, there is no need for a man.  Actually, nothing in creation is made for its own sake.

Take our five senses for example.

Are our eyes created for looking at themselves?  In the same way, our nose, ears, mouth and hands were created for the sake of our partner - not for ourselves.

The force that can mobilize and focus the five senses is true love.

Eyes, nose, ears, mouth and hands are the tools that were created for the sake of true love.

If people take things that do not belong to them without permission for their own use, we call them thieves.

Therefore, any person who uses his five sense and even his body just for his own sake alone is a thief.  This is because these were created for his wife and future descendants, not for his own sake.

What is the main difference between men and women?

Of course, their bodies and the sexual organs in particular.  Then who absolutely needs the male organ?

It exists for the sake of the woman.

One of the sexual organs is concave and the other is convex.  Why are we created in this way?

Because each of them exists for the sake of the other.

You did not know that the female organ absolutely belongs to man.

Who thinks of such a concept in the time of women's equality that says women and man should be equal in every aspect of life.  Women absolutely wants what is man's and vice versa.

Through each occupying each other's sexual organs, man and woman come to know love.

Only through the experience of these two becoming perfect in oneness, will they come to know the highest level of love and not the secular form of love of having different partners every night.

Everyone must acknowledge these facts as truth and not deny them.  Today's popular trend is to date as many people in a week or night as possible, but this is far from the ideal way and is the reason marriages have lost value.

An ideal couple comes into being in the place where the two achieve complete unity.  Absolute love exists in that very place.

God would come to dwell in such a place of unity where love is absolutely unchanging.

Man Owns Woman and Woman Owns Man

How does the subject and object, or yin and yang unite?

Would it be through kissing?

Love is abstract and not concrete.  Do you know what makes a man a man and a woman a woman?  It is none other than their sexual organs.

Who dislikes these organs?

Up until this point, you may have not known the virtue in valuing the sexual organs.  From now on we should cherish them.

What will the world be like in the future?

It will be a world that will not abuse their sexual organs, but will absolutely cherish them.  Will that world be good or bad; will it prosper or perish?

Which part did God invest the greatest creative effort when He was creating human beings?

If humanity was to be able to completely transcend into traditional fields of morality and religion while being absolutely in harmony with the sexual organs, earning welcoming praise from God, then what kind of world would that be?  Who owns the male and female organs?

The organs of the husband's sexual organ belongs to the wife; her sexual organs belongs to the husband.

Have you ever thought that a person's sexual organ is owned by the person of the opposite sex?

This is a simple truth that cannot be denied.  Even after thousands of years of progress, this truth will not change.  Typically, a man thinks that his sexual organs belongs to himself to do however he pleases.

One believes since they think their sexual organs belong to them that it does not hurt anyone else.  But to carelessly misuse this organ does harm not only to the future spouse, but eventually to the whole of society which degrades through such behavior.

A woman thinks her sexual organs belong to her.  This is why the world is perishing due to this individualistic thinking centered on one self and not God.

Everyone has mistaken the ownership of the sexual organs.

People have thought that love is absolute, eternal and dreamlike, but they were unable to grasp the true ownership of the sexual organs which lies with the opposite sex.

If humanity had known this simple fact, it would not have become the hell on earth as today.

Even thousands of PhD recipients and scholars have never thought of this point of the most important part of the human anatomy.

If you could ask your parents, grandparents, great-grandparents, the original ancestors, even God who is the origin of the universe, they would all agree that the sexual organs belong to the spouse.

This is an iron-clad rule which will remain as an universal principle even after the universe has existed for billions of years.

The natural conclusion then is that when you stand before God, He will judge you as either righteous or unrighteous according to this law.  In fact, the Fall originated in the violation of this very law.

Adam and Eve, each thought that their sexual organs belonged to themselves to use as they please even before they were mature.

Because of their selfishness in not listening to God's warning, they were driven out and could not be acknowledged anywhere in the universe.

The sexual organs are reserved for the sake of one's partner of love.  Adam and Eve did not know this.

Why do the sexual organs exist?  They exist for love.  Thus the male and female exist in order to find the pure love of God.

All men and women must become humble when they receive their spouse's love.

Love comes to you through your partner.

There is no love that is separate than love for the sake of others.  We must remember, that we find absolute love wherever we absolutely live for the sake of the others.

Family Protected Through Loving Children

A family where loving parents embrace their children and share in joy will not be able to be attacked by anything in the universe.

Rather, your family will have natural protection.  People have not known this fundamental principle.

If a child is born crippled or has a terminal illness, it is natural for the deep heart of the parent to flow to the crippled child.  Is that wrong?

The heart of such a handicapped person is like a valley, and the heart of the parents like a big area on the hilltop.

The heart of such parents flows from the top to that deep valley.

There is nothing bad in the heart of parents who live for the sake of their children.

The more miserable their situation and worn out their clothes are, then the further they dig into the deep valley of tears.

What would happen if a baby was ashamed of taking a poop?  A baby isn't ashamed if they pee or poop accidentally on their parents.

Rather he smiles openly in front of their parents as they watch them clean up after him.
This is only possible with love.  In love, there is no such thing as dirty things.

Love can overcome everything.

A mother who breastfeeds her baby at her bosom has an earnest heart.

The parents' heart is such that even when their baby's poop and pee smells, they are able to forget this and overlook instances like this because of their love.

If fallen parents have such a heart toward their children, how much more heart does God have as the subject partner of love?

God wanted to love Adam and Eve through His original heart.  We should think about this deeply.

The parents heart always feels lacking and they feel they can always give something more.

They want to love more, wondering if they have loved enough even after giving love and they feel regretful and sorry even after giving.

Because of this, their heart can be part of the essential core of eternal love.

This is the same heart that was the original motivation at the very beginning of love.

When parents divorce, it is the same as cutting their children in half with a knife.  The public law of the universe does not allow this.

Parents who violate this will receive punishment and be followed by misfortune wherever they go. They will be unable to find true happiness.

When the baby becomes hungry, the mother's breasts becomes swollen with milk.  When the milk swells them up and her breast become sore, there is an abundant pressure.

The heart of the mother who embraces her baby and gives him milk is hard to express in words.

When her swollen breasts go down, then the mother feels relieved and happy.

No one can understand this feeling unless she is a mother herself.  Moreover, as the mother bonds and watches her baby suck her breasts while touching it, love springs up abundantly in her heart.

If you were to ask a mother if she would rather lose her husband or her child, if she really loves her child, she will say that should would never give up her child.  She would rather give up her husband if she had to choose.

Husbands may be hurt to hear this.

These days, some people would say that if a child dies they can just have another one.

This is the last option.  In the principle of matters of order, we see that the husband and wife are horizontal and come last.  The history of love is like this.

What on earth is the original love?

It is the kind of love where a parent would give their life for their child.

Their love goes beyond their own life.  Why must this be so?  Originally, the universe was not created for the sake of life, because it was created for the sake of love.  Love came first.

Since this is the case, then life goes along with love, and not that love goes along with life.

Genuine love sacrifices life and goes beyond life.  This is because this love of Heaven is a love that can connect with the universe.

The salmon's life is a great example.

The salmon dies after laying its eggs. nevertheless the male and female first become one to lay their eggs.

This means that salmon couples are deeply in love.  It is as if they have been sentenced to die.

The male makes a hole in the ground once the female lays her eggs and protects them.  This is truly an ideal couple.

The body of the mother becomes food for her young.

Why would the Creator think to create salmon in such a way?  Seeing this, we see how important our young are.  God created the salmon as a model to show that love, and our young are the most precious things.

The life of the salmon is truly a great textbook for humankind.

Parents' love is complete even after being shared over and over again

Why is it we cannot help loving our children?

Because when we love our children, it is like inheriting God's great work of creation the horizontal (earth) and substantial level.

Through loving our children, we feel the joy God felt after creating Adam and Eve.

We inherit God's love and God's authority to create.

Parents who have raised many children see that their heart of love is wide, large and deep.

They can feel on their own that they cannot fight even their wicked enemies.  They stand on that foundation and live according to that broad of a law.

When a baby is born, he follows the electric current of love and automatically seeks out his mother's nipple.

He does not care how ugly or beautiful his mother is.  To witness such a sight of unmatched harmony and holiness.

Each of us are the fruit of our parents' love for one another.  We are born in love, and grow up while receiving love.

You are the visible, real fruit of what your mother and father's love is like.

Therefore, it is natural that the parents have to love the person who is the fruit of their love.

Through this fruit, the infinite love bears fruit yet again.

This is the path where we can be connected to individual love, family love, tribal love, universal love and even the fundamental love of God.

You are a unique participant and companion in love in front of your parents.

This love makes you equal to your mother and father and you can rise to an equal position.

This is the privilege of love.

Parents want to bequeath everything they own to their sons and daughters, whom they truly love.

You can jump in and inherit a hundred percent of the universe when you have found an equal position of value of love in the tradition of love.

This is why all parents want a child of filial piety.

Children of filial piety pass on the inheritance of love as participants in the eternal love of their parents.

A baby who is born through love can do whatever he wants and you will not dislike him one bit.

Rather, no matter what, you will love your baby because he is made from your flesh and blood and is a second you, created through love.

Even when he defecates or urinates, has a runny nose, he is still cute and adorable in your eyes.

This is because these things are soaked in love.

The love between the parents and children comes from the parents.  We receive our parents' love from the moment of our birth.

After we receive the parents' love and grow up, then we receive the horizontal love between husband and wife.

In order for the love of the husband and wife to continue, they must have children and love them.

Parents can feel genuine love only when they have children.

Through only the love of brothers and sisters, we cannot learn about parents' love.

In other words, we come to know parental love when we ourselves experience the circular course through becoming parents and complete the circle.

The love string of our parents and the string of our ideals are connected to each of us.

This cannot be cut off by anyone.  All of the power of the universe protects such a union.

Thus, wherever I go, my parents will follow me. My parents always want to be with me, even in the spirit world. Thus, it is a sin to dislike your parents accompanying you.

The highest value for human beings is to think of and love our parents like they are our own body and practice filial piety.

We are born from our parents' love and are engrafted to their love.

Before the connection of life and lineage are made through love, the connections are in place.

Why are each of us so precious?  Not because we have life, but because we participated together in our parents' love.

Parents have loved, but the individual is the fruit of that love.

Each of us are precious because we are born with the beginning point and the fruit.  True parents strive to continue this tradition of love.

This is the same for those in the East and the West.  All parents want to have an universal tradition of love by transcending our own tribe.

All people want and strive to bring their family into completeness and harmony so they can live a happy and peaceful life.

In this case tradition is the essence.

Only tradition can connect with the future.

Which is greater: conjugal love of husband and wife or the love between parents and child?

Westerners value the conjugal love of husband and wife as greater, but this is not so.

Love for a child is greater than the love of the spouse.

In conjugal love, the husband and wife fight because they think the other does not love them.

But parents and children fight thinking that they must love the other more, this is the original heart.

The parent and child relationship is such a way because the love of parents and child is the center and vertical.  It follows the road that is close to the heavenly law.  Thus, we find that the love that serves others is closer to the genuine love.

However strong a man is, or however tough a woman may be, they will bow down to that love.

The reason parents are precious is because they give and sacrifice for the sake of their children.  So things come to be the other way around.

When parents get old, they become children.

Long before, the parents were their children's first teacher, but they become seventy and eighty years old they become like children again.

At the same time, the child takes the place of the father or mother.  The child should love his parents just as the parents have loved them when they raised them.  This is the principle of heaven and earth.

Parents' Heart Resembles God

Parents, especially ones just welcoming a newborn baby, all understand the desire to receive blessings and feel happiness through their sons and daughters, whom they love dearly.

Parents who have established a correct standard where they can experience the greatest joy would want to bequeath this to their offspring for eternity.

Even fallen parents have the hopes that their children will grow up as people who can be followed and revered by all nation being praised eternally.

This is an amazing fact of heart, even after the fall separated us from God's pure lineage.

Parental Heart Wants to Give Everything

The fallen parents' heart can even be such that it seeks to protect their children from harm and have concern for them day and night.  For example, a mother ignores the diaper smells from her baby while she is nursing her child at her breast.

If fallen parents have such a heart for their child, how much more earnest must God's heart have been longing to love Adam and Eve, who were to mature and perfect their love instead creating fallen, false love?

Any parent has such a heart that when they nurse and nurture their babies and sing them lullabies and whisper to them, they wish that their future will be a success.

No matter how incompetent or lacking a parent may be, if one of their children suffers from a disability, the parents' hearts are devastated to the point of breaking.

But if the situation is turned around, then the feeling of relief and joy are overwhelming in proportion to the original pain.

If fallen parents are able to experience such a heart, how much more depth must be the heart of God?

Even if a son commits a heinous crime and is sent to prison, his parents tearfully forgive him and reach out to him.

No parent would yell out, "Serves him right!"

Isn't this parental love extraordinary?

Similarly, if a son is sentenced to execution, the mother will be totally grief-stricken and seeks anyway to save her child.

Even going so far to change the world's legal systems or risk her life in order to save her son's life.  Such an unchanging and sacrificial nature of the parental heart towards the children.

Have you known parents to keep an account of the times they love their children, saying, "Okay, we bought you shoes at K-mart and clothes a few days ago with our hard earned money.  Let's see how much you owe us."

Parents love their children so, that they treat them better than princes and princesses and still feel sorry that they cannot give even more.

Parents have such a heart that they always want to give their children better.  This is why we cherish the parents' love.

You should know this.

Parents give and yet feel that it is not enough; they love and yet feel as if there is some love they have not yet given and want to give more; and even after giving, they still feel unsatisfied with what they were able to give their children.

This essence of parental love is then what connects us to eternal love.

This feeling of endlessly giving is the original motivation for the beginning point of love.

When you relate to children, parents want to give all of the best possessions. That parental heart reflects the heart and nature of God.

Then, what kind of being is God? God is a being who wants to give all His precious attributes to those who truly become His children.

Parents Desire to Be Surpassed by Their Children

If I were to ask those of you who are middle-aged or older, "When you were young and looking for a spouse, did you want to find someone better or worse than you?" you would all give the same answer: "Someone better".

No matter whom you ask, in the East or West, you will hear the same response.

On the same note, in the relationship between parents and children, parents never want their children to be second-rate.

For example, if a good-looking couple marries and has a baby who is nowhere near as good-looking as the parents, the couple still wants to hear praise about the appearance of their child.

No matter how attractive a woman is, she will still be happy if she hears a passer-by compliment her baby with: "Wow, he's so much better-looking than his mother!"

Even though this implies she is much less attractive than her baby, no mother would protest at hearing this and grumble, "What? Why do you think he's much more attractive than me?

Then does this mean that I am much less attractive?" Rather, she would be unable to contain her joy. This is the maternal heart.

Whom do you think such a heart resembles? Mothers are resultant beings, not causal ones.

Any family where the son achieves less than his father will decline.

If the father is the president of his country but his son's accomplishments fall short of his, and if this pattern were to continue for some generations, that family will gradually decline and ultimately be driven to a miserable state.

Therefore, if a son asks his father, "Shouldn't I do better than you?" would the father reply "How dare you say that!" or "Of course, go ahead!"? Of course, he would say the latter.

When determining who to entrust with responsibility for the family, no parent would want to choose those who are inferior to them.

Why is this so? It is because parents always hope their children will outshine them.

The same is true with respect to the nation. The rulers of a nation should wish for their successors to be greater than they are.

Whether in the family or in the nation, the desire should always be for successors who are superior to them in every regard. This is something that is desired eternally, and that transcends the fortunes of history.

If true parental love is to perpetuate forever, someone must inherit its tradition. Since our children are clearly our successors, we must educate them to become the heirs of this tradition and enhance it onto higher levels.

While each generation should recognize the importance of the existing tradition, they should not just inherit it, but also develop it for the future.

Such a tradition can only start in true families with parents who are constantly burning with hope that their children will surpass them.

Such parents will consistently encourage their children to succeed.

Parents who long for the day when their children surpass them will devote their utmost efforts to prepare the best possible environment for them.

Such parents will sacrifice everything for the sake of their children's happiness, and push them in the direction that will make the children better than their parents.

Parents are happy when their children outshine them. Thus, women who beat children who do not do as well will not have the dignity to enter heaven.

You should be able to love your sons and daughters more than your own mother and father loved you. Moreover, when your children also think like this, a world of love will emerge naturally, and the Kingdom of Heaven will be realized.

Parental Love Is Eternally Unchanging

What is the original motivation of parental love? While conjugal love is changeable, why is parental love toward the children born of that conjugal love unchanging?

Parental love does not originate from conjugal love.

Unchanging love does not originate from the horizontal conjugal relationship, but is surely related to the origin of a vertical subject.

Who would such a vertical subject be? He is known as God.

Vertical love is not the kind of love that a husband and wife can enjoy as they please. In the case of vertical love, it is impossible to say that you will love, when you want to and not, when you don't want to.

It cannot be severed. It cannot be severed by man who is in the horizontal position. Thus, the love parents have toward their children never changes.

In today's political society, which is caught in individualism, children say that their generation is different because of the new trends of the age.

They want to disassociate from the traditions of their parents and the conventional norms of society.  Yet, even though they argue about the old ways and the new ways, the parental heart does not lead them to say to their children, "You go your way, and I will go min."

Parental love is not like that. Even animals are the same. In loving their young, they transcend their own selfish lives.

Where did parental love come from?

If we are resultant beings of the First Cause with some relationship to Him, we have come from within some destined power of this First Cause.

This is not something we as human beings can touch. Can we just deny that God created us just because humanity does not believe He exists?

As such, have you ever heard anyone say, "Let us revolutionize the love with which parents love their children; let us become the standard-bearers of that revolution"?

Let's suppose some parents come forward with the idea of revolutionizing parental love and reinventing human history, claiming, "Even though we are parents, we will not love our children.  This is how parents will be from now on."

Yet, the moment their baby's umbilical cord is cut, a loving heart will naturally arise in them. Every life form, whether on a higher or lower level, is created in such a way that it cannot but love its young.

Thus, since the act of loving their children inspires parents to invest and use their lives as stepping stones, it is clear that parental love brings us closest to an eternal and unchanging standard.

When seeking an absolute standard, although parental love may not achieve this by itself, it can be a stepping stone closest to absoluteness for human beings.

It can be the only foothold. Then looking at the history of the world. I wonder whether it has not become a permanent foothold.

Where did such parental love come from?

It is not learned based on advice from one's father or the admonition of one's spouse; nor does it come from one's own decision to love.

It happens naturally. Love is something that comes naturally.

If we analyze the essence of love, there is no need to revolutionize love. When parents love their children, this is part of true love.

This is why the heart with which people loved their children from the time of the first ancestors is the same heart with which we descendants several millennia later love our own children.

Moreover, the heart with which our descendants, who come several millennia later, will love their children will also be the same.

Love is eternal. True love is something pure that does not need to be revolutionized.

Then, what kind of love is God's love?

If God establishes certain beings in positions with an absolute standard, acknowledges their existence, and loves them, then that love needs no further drastic change.

Parental Love Sacrifices Everything

Love cannot be fulfilled alone.

Without an investment of life, love cannot be established. When considering the love in the parent-child relationship, there is a clear bond of life.

Thus, as long as a bond of life remains, and as long as there is hope within that bond, love will surely remain.

No bond of love can be made apart from a bond of life.

Thus, love requires an investment through a bond of life, and then the degree to which you invest your life will determine the value you feel.

For example, the parents' love for their children is not just based on their daily relationship; rather, it is a love that comes from within their bone marrow.

Parents have a loving heart that cannot be forgotten or cut off from, no matter how you may try. This is why parents love their children until their last breath.

As soon as parents feel they have a bond of life with their children, a heart of love naturally arises in them.

Parents do not love their children based merely on a deliberate decision because they are their children.

Instead, parents cannot help loving their children beyond any personal intention or connection, due to the life force connecting them. Such things are felt very clearly in our family life.

What kind of being is God?

God is a being with a heart that desires to give and give endlessly, which is also why we seek Him.

If God were just a merchant who says, "Hey, loving you costs so many dollars and cents," we would not pursue that kind of God. Why should all people love God and follow Him? Why should we like God?

It is because He gives and gives everything to all people and still feels ashamed, saying, "I can only give you this much now, but wait just a while, and I will give you a hundred and even a thousand times more."

God is not content with what He has given so far.

God's heart seeks to give abundantly, while also promising even better things in the future. If we are with such a being, we can be happy even in a state of poverty.

When we reach the situation wherein we are experiencing starvation, in a shocking way, we experience the stimulation of future hope within the present reality.

What this means is that through such hope we can make a new resolution.

When a mother feels sorry that she cannot give enough, if her child hugs her, saying, "Mommy!" will it just be a physical hug?

How grateful she will be! It is a chance to shed tears of mutual comfort looking to the future.

It is not an occasion for despair but a place of explosive growth where they can take the hope of tomorrow as stimulation for the present, make a joint resolution together and encourage each other.

Therefore, such an experience is not a miserable one.

Only within such a realm of love can we find the stimulation to look to the future and sing praise for its value within the realm of reality.

Hence, we come to the conclusion that there is no misfortune for those who live within that realm of love.

Parents want to sacrifice everything for the sake of their children. This is like God. What does this mean?

God does not invest Himself for His own sake or need for power.

Likewise, parents want to live for the sake of others rather than for their own sake; they want to stand in the position of God, who lives for the sake of others.

If God were to say that He only exists for Himself, this would not be true love.

Love, life, and hope are realized when parents sacrifice themselves completely for the sake of their children and are bound together with them.

True Parent's Heart Wants to Give Everything

The bible gives the account of the beginning of creation.   Let's forget the scientific and biblical debate of the beginning and keep it simple. Have you ever wondered why God built the universe and all of creation?

Like an artist, God first made a plan with man as the model for all of creation.  When you look at the physics internally and externally of man you will see the map of all creation.  God as our Parent created all of the universe for the love of man.  Once we realize this fact, then the account in Genesis
takes on a more heartfelt meaning when you see God as a Parent preparing the world for His children.

And God said, “Let the land produce living creatures according to their kinds: the livestock, the creatures that move along the ground, and the wild animals, each according to its kind.” And it was so.

God made the wild animals according to their kinds, the livestock according to their kinds, and all the creatures that move along the ground according to their kinds. And God saw that it was good.

Then God said, “Let us make mankind in our image, in our likeness, so that they may rule over the fish in the sea and the birds in the sky, over the livestock and all the wild animals,[a] and over all the creatures that move along the ground.”

So God created mankind in his own image,

    in the image of God he created them;
male and female he created them.

Genesis 1 24-27

If humans are made in God's image, then like God as human parents we want to give everything to our children - all of our heart and possession for our children's love.

This is the parental heart of a parent.  The greatest of all relationships is that between parent and child.

Parents who have given birth to and raised children all understand the desire to receive blessings and feel happiness through their sons and daughters, whom they love dearly. Also, if they have established a correct standard through which they can experience joy, they will want to bequeath this to their offspring for eternity.

Even fallen parents hope that their children will grow up as fine people who can be followed and revered by all nations and praised eternally.

The parental heart seeks to protect children from harm and is concerned about them day and night. The heart of fallen parents can even be like this.

For example, a mother ignores the diaper smells from her baby while nursing her child at her breast. Thus, if fallen parents have such a heart towards their children, how earnest must God's heart have been, longing to love Adam and Eve based on their original hearts?

You should all think about this. When you nurse and nurture your babies, you sing them lullabies and whisper to them, wishing that their lives will be a success. Any parent has such a heart.

No matter how incompetent or lacking parents may be, if one of their children suffers from a disability, the parents' hearts are devastated to the point of breaking.   To God, when He looks down at humanity, he sees disfigured children crippled by sin.

If this situation is then resolved, the relief and joy are overwhelming in proportion to the original pain. If such is the heart of a fallen parent, what must be the heart of God?

If a son commits a crime and is sent to prison, the parents tearfully forgive and reach out to him, instead of saying, "Serves him right!" This is why parental love is extraordinary. Similarly, if a son is sentenced to execution, his mother will be totally grief-stricken and seek any way, even changing the world's legal systems or risking her life, to save her son.

Such is the unchanging and sacrificial nature of the parental heart towards the children.

Do loving parents keep an account of the times they love their children, saying: "We bought you shoes and clothes a few days ago with our hard earned money, which cost us so many dollars and cents?"

When parents love their children, they want to treat them even better than princes and princesses, and still feel sorry that they cannot give more.

Parents have the heart of wanting to give their children something better. This is why we cherish parental love. You should all know this.

No matter how much parents give they feel that it is not enough; they love and yet feel as if there is some love they have not yet given and want to give more; and even after giving, they still feel unsatisfied with what they were able to give their children.

This essence of parental love is that is what connects us to eternal love. This is the original motivation for the beginning point of love.

When it comes to children, parents always want to give the best of what they have to the children.  This is the true definition of a parental hear and this heart is a reflection of the nature of God.

If this is so, what kind of being is God?  God wants to share of  his most precious attributes to those who truly become His children.

The unconditional nature of rue love is that it does not waver, it is eternal, does not change according to circumstances or convenience.  A good friend will stay by his friend's side when the times are good and when they are bad.  A husband of true love will stay with his wife forsaking all others when she is sick and old and all of her beauty has faded away.  A parent whose child has run away will always look out the window every night in hopes of seeing their child return.

Constancy is the ballast of all lasting and true relationships.

When people practice true love, they are there for one another no matter what the situation even if it turns sour.  God's love is unchanging and is a place of the heart where we want to return time and again for forgiveness, renewal, reassurance, wisdom and fresh determination.

A bumper sticker reads, “If you don’t feel close to God—guess who moved?” We may be sure that He didn't. The “Unmoved Mover” remains constant, the ultimately loving parent.

One parent practiced the elements of true love in her patience to win the hart of her reluctant teenage daughter.  Her rebellious daughter had a "smart mouth" and was very arrogant which harmed and pain the parents.

At the height of crisis, the police called the mother to tell her they had picked up her daughter for reckless driving.  The mother was so upset that she couldn't talk to the daughter for a whole night.

Then, after the mother stepped back, she knew that she had still belief in her daughter's goodness.  She wanted to demonstrate this faith to her daughter.  She wrapped up a little gift and handed it to her daughter with this note:

“This rock is a thousand years old. That’s how long it will take before I give up on you.”

The teenager broke down in tears at this evidence of her mother’s devotion, and the two became closer after that.

You and I should be grateful that God's heart is immensely larger than the human parent's love.  He never gives up on people who have wronged Him - even when they had already given up on themselves.

People, like the teenage girl, feel worthless, hopeless, despairing, and beyond redemption when they are travelling down the wrong path.  Fortunately, God's love is like a rock.  He is always there, always has hope in us and waits for His child to return.

As Jesus expressed so poignantly, “Ask, and it will be given to you, seek and you will find; knock and the door shall be opened unto you.”

We can visualize that God is a True Parent that is always home and ready to open the door and answer it when His child needs Him.  He always holds steadfast that His children will visit wanting Him to embrace them in a love that never wavers.  God is a True and Ultimate Parent.

Reverend Moon has said:

“What made Jesus sacred was that he trusted and loved people, wanted to live with them and save them more than anything else—even though they betrayed him. He blessed his enemies. There are sixty-six volumes in the Holy Scripture, but when you condense its significant meaning, the teaching of Jesus is . . . unchangeability.”
