Family Members Should Not Live For Self

Once a person reaches the world level, he must come back and make contact with the lower levels of the nation, society, tribe, family, and his spouse, then he is ready to move out toward the world level again. Such a person will be welcomed everywhere around the world, no matter where he goes. He will be sought after by all other peoples and cultures.

Reverend Sun Myung Moon

We know deeply in our minds that this principle is the true way for a person to advance to his fullest potential.

Surely, you want to go in the direction which Father wants to go, but since we cannot all go to the same place at the same time, we are spread out all over the world constantly changing positions with each other.

Why do you witness and do missionary work with such enthusiasm?

You desire to get good results, but you also want to return home with a proud report.

In that sense, you return to the reason of your activity and don't stay at the same level of result.  This is how you unite the result with the cause.

We know that man is not a causal being but a resultant being.

Can anyone boast that they brought themselves into being?  Did they created themselves?

It would be natural that a being of result will want to know and become one with the world.  Eventually, he will desire to unite with God, who is the ultimate causal being, and report both his good and bad experiences to Him.

The resultant being wants to share his life with the causal being.

Every part of the process goes back to our cause, which is God.

Is this fact made up or is it true that returning to God is the ultimate path for all mankind?

You are right if you said yes.

Every pair in existence has two tendencies: to move toward the center and to move toward the center and to move toward the outer expression.

Nothing is randomly in motion.

Two controlling factors determine the way everything moves: one pushes the object in a certain way, the other in a certain way.

These two direction always exist to ensure the purposefulness of the object's motion. In this manner the motion of going from the causal point to the resultant point is continually repeated.

This is the way the universe moves.

Your mind and body delights in having good give and take during your lifetime.  A person that has good give and take is a happy person.

A man that has this kind of harmony, wants and needs to meet a woman with that harmony.

Together they want to have good give and take that they achieve between their individual minds and bodies.

You receive direction from Father and you work hard to achieve your goals.

We have the idea within the church to achieve a good give and take relationship between the subject and object.  Then you return to Father with good result.

Through living this way, we expand the influence of goodness to the largest level.  A person may live according to this ideal for a while, but then will start to criticize and complain with the direction that is given.

We can use the illustration of baseball.

Imagine that the catcher stands behind the batter to catch every ball the pitcher throws.  Do you think that the catcher is judging which ball he wants to catch and which one he wants to let pass him?

No, he is determined to catch every ball that is pitched.

Even if the pitcher was to throw a curve ball, the catcher would still reach out and may even turn all the way around in a circle as he catches it.

There is not one catcher that would just stand still in front of a fast ball and try to stop its motion with a stiff arm.  He will catch it with a turning motion, and absorb the strength of the pitch.  Thus, his actions contains a quality of beauty.

You should change your thinking to when you make some motion, even raising your hand, that you are moving with the universe.

This principle of motion applies to everything in a person's life.

Today, many American young people think they have such a great life enjoying their time with their friends while ignoring their homes and their families.

If they were truly experiencing a great time, they would naturally come back home and have an equally great time with their parents and family.  Unfortunately, the trend is for young people not to see their parents as valuable.

They say that they are part of the 'older generation' and then ignore them completely.  Could this be called a complete and great life?

The truly natural way of enjoying life for a teen is for them to go out, have a great time and then return home and share his experience with his grandparents and the whole family.

It is unnatural to go out have a good time and then go home and isolate yourself from the rest of the family.

Would a grandparent or parent want to have such a child come back home?  To live in the family that does not interact would be a painful existence.  If the youngster lives in his own world without sharing his life in a positive way, the family will feel offended.

Most people do not understand the universal reasons why it is good for the child to share his experiences with the family.

Now you know that going out and coming back in harmony is the law of the universe, and no one can live happily in violation of this law.

A person who lives according to this law is a person of health, and a natural person.

Others will seek him out and desire to learn from him the proper way to live.  He will naturally become a teacher to the people who don't know how to live naturally and harmoniously.  This is the principle standard for what a man should be.

Do we see this in our American families, where each are able to speak freely sharing their experiences with one another on a daily basis?

The person who lives according to the law and standard of harmony should become the natural center and leader.  He will be welcomed by everybody, not only in his own country, but the rest of the world will embrace him.

This is the criterion God uses.  It is all the standard of all things in the universe.  All creation already lives by this standard even if man chooses not to do so.

Then it is natural that those who leave this protective boundary of this principle of harmony will gradually lose power.

As we grow up, we gather and absorb all the elements of our environment.  But once we are grown and physically mature, we start giving ourselves to our surroundings.  As we age, we become physically smaller not bigger.  When a person dies, his body returns to the earth completely.

Whether it is invisible or visible, everything is guided by this cycle.

When we look in history, it is clear that those people who are still recognized hundreds of years later are those who lived for the sake of the world.  It does not matter whether the person lived in the east or the west, or if he was white or black.

The person who lives for something greater than himself becomes an eternal being.

The one who can give the most for the sake of the world is the person the world wants to remember most.  Look at a few examples before thinking that this is just a hasty conclusion.  Everything in principle can be applicable to your own life.

Even the physical world of mineral, vegetable and animal kingdoms and the spirit world are all guided by the same principles which we have been discussing in this blog.  God Himself is guided by these principles.  We can begin to relate with God in an intimate way.

We can talk and have a deep personal relationship of give and take with Him.  We can even dance with God.

All men want to perfect their character and their natures because they need to come back to that cause, God.

What if there was a meeting of all of the superior people from each part of the world.  Would there be a struggle among them to figure out who is the best of the best?  Can such fighting bring about a decision?

In fact, such a decision would have to be agreed upon unanimously by all on their own volition.
The greatest person there would be the one that everyone recognizes having something the rest of them want or lack.

Naturally, they would want him to become their leader.  A person who has an universal characteristic of every direction is the one who is acknowledged by those from every direction of east, west, north and south.  This is simple logic.

You have been trained to become such an universal person.  Even well-educated western members have willingly gone to poor countries to offer their time and effort to help the people raise their standard of living.

In the past, Western countries gave out their best people to lesser developed nations only to gain dominion over them.  We have reversed this.

We take the best person and send him to a backward country in order to live in the worst conditions.  This person though is to raise up the people to a better position instead of raising himself over them and thus keeping them in a miserable position.

Do we do this because we try to be different?

No, we go this way because this is the original, true way no matter how many people have gone in the opposite direction.

This is the law of the universe, and if anyone goes against it, he will eventually perish.

We have sent missionaries from America, Germany, and Japan because they can represent the developed nations.  They each come from nations with a history of never wanting to bow down to others.  Among them, the most willing to sacrifice for the sake of others should be the leader.

If America was to continue along her current path, she will be despised by the poorer nations.  The black people of Africa who are struggling in poverty and misery will turn against the predominantly white America.

We see the trend now where all the people around the world are beginning to wish bad things would happen to America.

Recently the royal baby was condemned by many people sometimes showing side-by-side pictures of a poor child in Africa next to the royal couple holding the new baby.

When you compare this to when Prince William was a baby and was well accepted worldwide we see that the Western society is losing ground.  At that time, America and Europe were looked toward as the ideal nations.

As this resentment toward the developed countries continues to spread, the voices of negativity will become stronger and stronger.

According to the principle of the universe, if there are many, many people who wish you to decline, then there is no way to avoid that decline.

If a person, nation or entity boasts about their great success, if it does not connect itself back to its cause, that entity cannot continue to exist.  This is happening everywhere.

The once jubilant American family is breaking down in relationships between the younger and the  older generations.

Also, there is rarely a good give and take between the American president and the citizens.

Somehow people have come to use an economic standard as the measure of their success.

Economic concerns and money are only a result.

If this nation continues to only be concerned with money, which does not connect itself with the causal element, the consequences for this nation will be terrible.

Of course, there is nothing wrong with having money or economic success, but why is money necessary?

If we only desire to have money so we can live well, then this is the wrong attitude.

Money is the result of a fruitful cause and is meant to serve the purpose of that cause.  The purpose behind wealth is to make God happy when He is able to look at a healthy, good world.

America needs its money only in order to make the world a better place, the way God intended it to be.

Once you understand the purpose of having money, then it is fine for you to acquire it.

Even if you were to only be concerned for the nation, you still want to use your money in order to reverse the destructive trends in America.

What if someone wanted to use their money to make their parents' lives more comfortable and easy.

Everyone will approve such a person having and spending their money for the sake of a larger purpose than just himself.

If a person clings to his money for his own selfish purposes, even his own parents will not approve of him.

A person who lives for the sake of the whole world is welcomed in any place and has unlimited freedom of movement around the world.

However, if a person wants to live in a small self-centered way, all the elements of the universe will wish him ill.

Self-made millionaires who only live to acquire their wealth for themselves will never be truly loved or welcomed by the world, especially if he hurts others in his quest for money.  Such people are violators of the universal law.

Therefore, their success is not seen as a virtue, but as a manifestation of their sinfulness.

Money is not the only thing that falls under this principle.  Also, knowledge can be used improperly depending on whether one uses it for the sake of others or just to take advantage for his own personal goals.

The same can be said of position and prestige.  All of these things listed must be guided by the principle of harmony, then there is nothing wrong with wanting to obtain them.

When a person is in violation of this principle, someone else who doesn't seem to have much power may start to criticize the unrighteous one.  Eventually, the unrighteous person will become the loser, not the one who is in a 'lesser' position than him.

Now, we have a clearer picture of how to live, we need not to criticize others.  The only thing we need to do is go the right way.

We will continue to make money and spend it for the sake of the sake of the world.

If you see that someone else does not want to spend their money for a greater purpose, just leave him alone.  Certainly, it will not benefit him to live that way.

Don't despair, it does not matter who is great, powerful and wealthy today.  Those who live by the Principle actually are becoming the great people of the future.   The way of non-Principle is the way of decline.

The way of the Principle is the way of success.

How to Be Grateful for the Little Things

Now summer is here and all of nature is ready. When you come to Belvedere you might look at that one big tree outside here and remark at how big a tree it is.

When you go outside, you will see that some trees will have a special characteristic that will catch your attention, Especially if one is tall and has colorful leaves.  Even in nature, it is hard to find an object that is perfectly beautiful.  It takes a lot of catering and arrangement to create and present beauty.

There is manmade beauty and natural beauty, but beauty created in the natural way is more difficult.

Even though an oak tree is big, it started from a small acorn.

Over the years that it grew, it had to absorb many elements.  In its growth it took many sacrifices and contributions.

There is an absolute necessary element that the tree needs to do before it can command respect as a great tree.

I must realize that there were several circumstances and elements combined to make its success possible.

It is a heartistic necessity to recognize and bow down to these elements which made it great.  Both internal and external elements made great sacrifices to make just that one tree.

When the tree is grateful and humble before the elements which made him great, those elements would have respect for him knowing his position and then will gladly give more of themselves.

The small blades of grass that reside in the tree's shade would not be able to complain that the tree receives all of the sun light, but would decide to live with the inconvenience because the tree was grateful.

What if the sun decided to stop shining on the tree?

Would the tree still be in the position to be proud and great or would he become worried and anxious how he would survive without the sun?

What if the air stopped existing or any more water?  How would the tree react?

This situation is just an analogy for man's relationships.

Should you walk pridefully and think that you don't need anybody and you exist independently?  Or would you be meek enough to thank the sun and the air for sustaining your existence?

You eat food with your mouth and at the same time your skin is "breathing" sunlight; which is more delicious?

Let us think in a different way.  You may think that you taste with your mouth but without the sun, your eyes would not even be necessary.

Without the air, you would no longer need your nose.  Therefore, without the air, how would soundwaves travel?  Without soundwaves, your ears would not be necessary.

Your mouth sacrifices many things from the outside for your survival.

Can you then be proud?  Where did your arms and legs come from?  They come from your parents and belong to them in reality.  When each of you was in your mother's womb, you stole energy from her as you grew.

When you go to the store, whatever you buy, you receive a receipt, but did you get a small receipt from all of the energy your mother gave you?  This is why you are thieves!

Can you truly say your body belongs to you?

Day and night you kicked and poked your mother, but you never apologized.  Did you complain or did you have gratitude while you were in your mother's womb?  After nine months of acting up in your mother, you were born.

But you still took nourishment and energy as she fed you.

When you were a little older, you were then fed complete meals by others.  Can we still proclaim our bodies truly belong to us and owe no one?  You never earned it.

Americans are prompt to say thank you, but how much more do you owe thanks to your parents who gave birth to you and attended to you while you grew?

If you were a restless or cranky baby and cried all of the time and demanded attention, you parents didn't demand you to stop, they would immediately comfort you.

Then when you became of age, you attended school for education.  Your parents in totality take care of you for 18 years.

When you think deeply about these things, then you know that you are indebted to your parents for your well-being.  Have you ever told your parents how much they served you or gave and terms of dollars.

The debt is so great, you would never be able to pay them back.

American teenagers act sometimes as if their parents magically appeared out of the heavens.  They speak about the gap between the generations, and that they came into being without causing any trouble to anyone.

Many times young people think their parents just bother them and they place them in retirement homes with an attitude that no one needs the elderly.

The universe does not work in this way.

The world must harmonize.

A person never parallels the universal way when they claim things for his own selfish benefit and demand his rights.

It is a law of nature that while you are growing up, you are deeply indebted to your parents, and after you are grown and responsible then you repay that debt by taking care of your parents.

When you take a look into the past, what is it that you can be proud of?

You can be proud that you are indebted to your father and mother recognizing that you are also indebted to nature.  You would show appreciation for the water, sun and air, because without these elements you could not even survive for five minutes.

We must be thankful for the world of plants and the animal kingdom.

When you pass a pasture, what is the first thing you think when you see a cow?  That she is fat and that she would make good steaks?  You would probably think of food first instead of thanking the cow.

Which person would the cow welcome: the person who thought of him as a potential steak, or the one who shows gratitude toward him?

Even a cow would rather be eaten by a gracious person instead of a greedy person.

God looks down at this self-centered kind of thinking and knows that He did not create this world for man's self-serving needs.

Do you think that your clothes belong to you?  What about the jewelry you wear?

When a person is proud and thinks that they are independent from others and their environment, nature would laugh at such a person.  Nature knows that you could never exist by yourself.

The universe would never show any gratitude toward the person does not observe any thankfulness.  Everyone has something to be thankful for in their life from the moment of their birth.

If there is a person that understands how much they are indebted to nature, parents, the world and knows his position the world gladly harmonizes with him.

What if you lived in the desert and all the sudden woke up to find that a tropical environment was being created before you in your presence.  How much gratitude would you feel then?

Wouldn't you shout for happiness if all of this appeared out of nowhere one day?  Would you take the world of nature for granted after experiencing the wasteland just beforehand?

Have you ever thought that there was a day where nothing was in existence, that time before God brought anything into existence?  God said that everything was good when creation was complete, but what if you as His child took more pleasure and enjoyment in each thing that He did?

Would He gladly appreciate your expression or not?

God has existed from the beginning, so He would remember and appreciate you based on the historical perspective of millions of years.  Would God say with your kind of heart that it was just good, or would He remember and appreciate you within His heart?

He would think that you were better than anyone in all of history for having so much gratitude for His work.

What if this type of person was not so valued in the looks department or was crippled?  Would God appreciate them less?

No, this person would be remembered first in God's heart.

What about you, what is you first impression when you look in the mirror every morning?

Many women will shun looking in the mirror or have their picture taken.  But no matter how you look, you should view yourself in the broader perspective in which God sees us.

Each of us sends out waves or vibrations to the universe and the world can communicate with you through them.

What kind of vibes would a person who appreciate everything send?

What about people who always complain and use people for their own advantage?  This kind of person would repel everything in the universe because of that vibration.

The person who is always negative and dissatisfied with everything in site, bites everything including friends and family.

A dissatisfied personality always has long nails everywhere around their body to bite or scratch the universe.  Doesn't it feel that way when you are around such a person?

Today there are definitely a great many people that live in such an unhappy state.

What about your heart?

On the other hand, when you realize your position toward your neighbors and relatives, you feel gratitude.  Then instead of biting and scratching others, you only reach out to embrace them all.

This way, you are sending out infinite waves of gratitude out to all corners of the earth.

The ocean is wide, but it could not be greater than your mind of gratitude.

Your mind can be strong if you make it small, but if you make it large then it is larger than any ocean on earth!

In that case, the entire universe embraces you also with that quality of mind.

We each have millions of individual cells in our bodies that are similar to employees in a corporation.  Each of these cells send out their own waves which all of nature responds.

Whatever vibe you send out, is how nature will echo you.

What kind of person do you want to be like: the kind that has infinite appreciation, or one that always has infinite disappointment and complaint?

This is why the Bible teaches to always have gratitude, as well as humbleness and meekness.

Can you count how many words you have used in your life up to this point?  Can you measure what portion has been dedicated to speaking gratitude or for complaint?

We have a general tendency to complain, so most people would receive the sign, "I am a complainer."  Don't you think this is the life most people lead?

But when you complain then everything in the universe is repelled by you.

Even your parents and friends wouldn't want to be around you if you complain all the time.

Would God be happy to hear it?  Are your eyes, nose and ears complaining about the information that comes to them or are they appreciative in what they see, hear and smell?

If your body and mind are always full of complaint, who will welcome you?  Not even your husband or fiancee, there is no exception.  No one likes to be around such negativity.

If you were to place bags holding your complaint or appreciation, which outweighs the other?

Are complainers usually good or bad people?  You don't like to hear this kind of judgement do you?:

But don't you think that evil-minded people also want to hear kind words from others?

Wouldn't nature also want to hear words of kindness and love, or would they tell you to stop?  Even your pet loves to have loving reinforcement when they do something good. Even the simple words, "Good boy" brings such excitement.

Does your balance tilt more on the complaint or gratitude side?

If you are below zero, then nothing will treat you like a human being because you would be substandard, at the animal level of interaction.

America, Get Rid of Complaint

When we look at America, it has fallen far from its glorious Christian path carved by the first settlers who wished to serve God completely in this country.

It is a startling fact to see that teachers in America are physically assaulted by their own students and sometimes lose their life.

The universal law would bring such people down into ruin and they would not be able to prosper.

Nature does not permit this kind of event.

Do you think God would allow this immorality and say that America is still a great country and deserves His blessing?  If you were God, would you give more blessings to that kind of country?

Children who are grateful to their own parents are welcomed by the universe.

If you have this kind of heart,  you are able to harmonize with your own brothers and sisters, with nature and of course God would welcome that man and woman.

But what can we say is genuine gratitude?  Is it when you can thank your parents under rosy circumstances, or under adverse conditions?  The latter is the most precious.  God is always evaluating the depth of gratitude which each individual has.  From His eyes, He sees each person's value is determined by how much gratitude they can impart.

This is the same principle that works in a courtroom.  If a criminal shows true repentance and a willingness to make a restitution for his crime, he will win mercy from the judge and prosecutor.

I have come to America telling the people what is wrong with America and how it must change, and Americans demand to know what a yellow man is doing coming here to meddle in their business. Will that kind of attitude be acceptable in the sight of God and nature?

No matter how horrible a mistake one makes, if he shows that he is willing to make a conscientious effort to better himself and make restitution he can win forgiveness.  But the one who blames others and claims that he did no wrong, then there is no way for that person to be forgiven.

Teachers should be thanked for all the hard work they do.

We should write to our teachers telling them how much we are indebted and thankful for them.  We can remember how we resented how strict our teacher was, but we know that we can read and write well because of their teaching.

Because of the strict discipline in class you have gained much and can make clearer judgments.  Now when you see great masterpieces in art and literature, you can remember that it is because of your teacher's views on the subject.

You can write to them remembering what kind of student you were and express your gratitude for now having the ability to perceive and understand great art and literature.  It is because of your teachers bequeathing their skills to you, you should give them unconditional gratitude.  Is there any complaint about that?

Imagine if this kind of tradition was prevalent in every American school.  Would immorality and school shootings happen?

What if American children appreciated their parents? Would there be much breakdowns in the family?  The youth blame the older generation for all of the problems, but the young people are equally or more responsible for trying to separate themselves and do everything at their whim.

Instead, the youth must change their behavior and become loyal.  If this was to happen, even the most evil of parents would be swayed and turn around also.

The parental heart is always present.  So, when parents see their children doing good coming from their children, the parents' heart has to be moved.  If the American young people were to become righteous and do good deeds, even if the parents fight or separate, they could not do it.  The parents would be ashamed and try to become better parents for their children's sake.

If this kind of heart and appreciation was to dominate the family, each member of the family would unite.  But if instead members had a complaining attitude in the home, the family would face destruction.

Here in America the most important thing is how to get rid of complaint.

Are you inclined now to be thankful to your teachers?

Many sisters have beautiful handwriting, but they must be thankful to the person who taught them how to write in such a way.  Now, many American schools are getting rid of teaching cursive writing.

How much more valuable is this skill you have been taught?

That skill has helped enhance your skill when you entered into society.  If you write with that mind of gratitude, then the entire universe will help to enhance your skill even more. Then you find that you are deeply indebted to society and the nation.

When you get a job with a mind of gratitude you will prosper.

What if America was not some social system but anarchy or communism?  How could you live in such a society?

Do most people have a grateful attitude toward the person who becomes President and toward the government? The office of the presidency is an awesome one because ultimate responsibility rests there.

The President has to protect the people, make good policies, conduct diplomacy and maintain defense. In order for those policies to work the people must unite with them. Should the people be grateful? But no matter how great the leader in office, if the people's inclination is to criticize, what will happen to their society?

What if a manipulative, scheming person was elected president?  What would happen to the American society?

Easy.  Disaster would come to the nation.

The most important quality for a President to have is to truly love his country in a sacrificial, unselfish way.  Do you love President Obama?

What happens to a country built by people who don't feel gratitude for their parents, teachers, or toward their society and nation?  Are we not seeing the effects of that kind of attitude in this day and age?

Where do you think America is headed?

Education is a paramount task now in America. There are two places where education is given through the schools and through religion.

Does the American educational system show interest in teaching such grateful attitudes?  What about the church?  There is so much struggle and politics within the church pews.

If this is so, it would not seem that the religious people are really concerned about what happens to the nation  or the world.

There should be one religion that has a strong foundation and is on the right track, caring about the family, society, nation and world and teaching those things besides just religious scripture.

The movement of the Unification Church has those principles.

A genuinely good society begins with good parents, then children who grow up in gratitude and go out to relate to society through their teachers, and to their nation through the head of state, and finally to the world.

After parents teach their children for a few years, they then pass the baton to the teachers to educate them, then they in turn pass the students out into society and the nation.  In this way, the person takes on a higher mission all the time.

The person who grows up in the home with gratitude for his parents, teachers and nation will become grateful to the Almighty Creator.  Unless one exhibits this attitude, he will never be successful.

Harvard became such a popular school to attend because of its excellent teachers, and the students who are taught there want to take up important positions in society such as President or Cabinet members that will influence the nation.

This attitude is acceptable if the student is in the right frame of mind, and they will think that by wanting to influence the nation, that they will serve the world.  This kind of public thinking should be taught in the education system.

That kind of person would not want to stop there.  They would want to become nationally important and go on to become world leaders.

The true worldwide leader is a religious person, or saint.

This is true because the worldwide level already goes beyond the boundary of race and nation.  The only person that has this kind of life and attitude is truly a religious person.

To know God and enter heaven as a saint is the destiny of all men.

To go this path, each person carries a bag of love of parents, of teachers, nation and finally from the saints, and then reach God.

From childhood all through your adult years you have to gain certain qualities in order to reach the ultimate goal, which is God.

At each stage of completion, you will receive a certificate from your parents in recognition that you are a child of filial piety.

Then your teachers will sign it, saying that you are a devoted and grateful student.  Then the head of state will confirm that you are a patriotic citizen, and the saint must affirm that you are trustworthy and dependable for the sake of humanity.

Then you can take this certificate to God and He will accept you.

When you get to the national level, you will not always be able to listen to your teachers and parents because you will be at a level of higher responsibility.  At that higher level of your mission, you should be able to govern even your own teachers and parents.

In that situation, you will be able to listen to the saints above you and to God.  Then, once you reach that level of sainthood, then you will surpass the saints level of teaching.  You will listen directly to God who is the greatest teacher of all.

You are going forward step by step, trying to reach higher goals, ultimately focusing on the supreme teacher of love.

At each of these levels, the capacity of love is different.

As a child you learn about receiving parental love, and when you are in school, you learn to love your teachers.   At the national level you learn love of the patriots, and in sainthood you learn the love of the saints.

On the world level you learn love of the world, and finally above that you learn the love of God. Then ultimately the universe is yours.

Through the practice of love,  you get to know your parents and teachers.  Also, through love you find your nation, world and you find God.  This is the kind of education we are talking about that is need in schools.

That kind of man and woman will be able to go anywhere and harmonize with anything.  You must, therefore, become a recipient of the love of parents, teachers, head of state saint, the world, and finally God. Until you reach 18 years old, parental love predominates the other types of love.

The most important of all is to set right from the start ample appreciation for the love you receive from your parents.  Then in this frame of mind, you can move on to each stage and develop in the right way.

The subject of education is love, and the attitude of education should be gratitude.

There are two things to inscribe in your heart: love and gratitude.

People these days think they do not need anyone, but in all of this time there is nothing that is yours.  Everyone is completely indebted to someone else.  You will confirm your position when it is your turn to give ample love to your own children, brothers and sisters.

You determine your position on the horizontal line, which consists of the love of your brothers.  Then on the vertical line is the love of your own children.  Then you become a teacher and a patriot. Then you become like a saint yourself so you can introduce God to others.

In all of history, these processes of education in love and gratitude have failed.  This process must be indemnified.  Through finding an example and following it, you can make restitution for all that has been lost in the past.  This movement teaches the love of parents and the love of teachers.

We teach love of the nation, head of state, how saints should love their disciples, and ultimately how to love God.

I am in a position of parent and also of teacher, instructing you how to become a teacher. Also, I teach patriotism, which national leaders today are failing to do. In the position of saint, I am teaching how to love humanity and the world, and ultimately I teach how much God loves the world.

Therefore, once you leave home to go to the world, it is not a violation of the universal law.

You come to a new world learning the very best essence of education.  Many are faithful to their own parents, but are able to put that aside and join a higher mission in the sight of God.

You may have been studying for a degree, but will put that aside to join the church because here you are getting a better education.  You are told to love your own parents.

The Unification Church with the Completed Testament can unite the universe.

As soon as it is known what Divine Principle stands for, then even famous theologians will say that here is a modern-day saint who out dates what others have done and sets a new trend of love.

You each must become saints who love the world as much as you love the Messiah.  The true heart of God is being taught for the first time ever in history, the past, present, future, and in the society, nation and world.

Other people are not even sure if God exists, but we are talking about the very heart of God. This is why we can teach the true love of God.  The Messiah is an universal being.

Your heart knows and understands that you receive the best education on how to be a good family man, teacher, patriot, saint, and how to reciprocate the love of God.  Would the courses of this school be easy?

No, these courses in love will be the hardest of any institution.

This education is not confined but goes beyond boundaries of races, nation and even between the spiritual and physical worlds.

When I go to Korea the members there call me their father; when I go to Japan all the members there call me their father, and here in America you call me your father, too. What historical applause that will be when you really understand your position.

In this environment, we find the power for unifying the world and cosmos.  We know this can be done.  A lifetime may seem like a long time, but once you pass through it and look back,  you can see that life is just a spark of light, and the beginning and the end pass ever so quickly.
