Everybody Wants True Love

Does this seem like a false statement?  Is it possible that even a criminal, a mob boss or a seemingly heartless person deep down wants love?

All of the worlds problem can be solved through true love.

Where does this love begin?  It would begin in the family as two individuals mature in love , come together and bear their fruit of love expanding it on the family level.  Family is the textbook for love.  This level expands to the society, nation and the world.


Every human no matter how evil they may appear to be, wants true love.

Reverend Moon had tapped into the truth of the world's major headaches and found the root and cause of these problems. He explains the topic of True love in his following speech:

"Respected religious leaders, I am truly grateful that so many of you have taken time out of your busy schedules to gather here for the Fourth True Family Values Ministry Awards Banquet.

Ladies and Gentlemen, what is the most important thing that we need more than anything else?

It is not money, power or knowledge. It is true love. True love is more precious than life itself and more important to us than air or water.

Why is true love so precious and important? It is because it is the means by which we can meet God. Just as human beings desire to meet God, God also wants to meet true human beings because of love.

The love by which God can see, touch and share with men and women at the same time, is the love by which men and women love each other.

If anything other than love were to be recognized as the most valuable thing in the universe, men and women would fight each other to try to claim it for themselves.

Once we realize that love is the highest value, however, we can strive to live for each other and become one with each other, sharing the happiness of possessing love together.



Everyone desires love. 

Love is the only thing that can satisfy all human desires. It is humankind’s, and God’s, unfailing attraction to love that makes God’s providence of salvation possible. Fundamentally, love belongs to God. Yet even God cannot possess love all by Himself. Love requires a mutual relationship. A man by himself or a woman by herself cannot experience love.

Women exist for the sake of men’s love and men exist for the sake of women’s love. Regardless of external appearance, in our heart each of us desires a mate with whom we can give and receive the highest level of love.

When we examine the universe, we see that all beings exist in pairs relating to one another as subject and object. In the mineral world, we observe the relationship of plus and minus. In the plant world, the animal world and the world of human beings, we see the relationship between masculine and feminine.

This is because God created the universe in order to fulfill the expression of love. All beings desire the experience of true love through a mutual relationship. Love is the one power in the universe that absolutely no one can possess by himself.

Once we have a partner, however, love gives us the power to share the entire universe. Likewise, a husband and wife need children in order to experience the profound joy of parental love.

Thus, we can say that God created human beings and the universe as His reciprocal partners in order to bring about true love. All types of love -- including love of children, love of siblings, love of husband and wife, and love of parents -- come about through the unity of subject and object partners.

When two partners become one in true love, it is impossible to separate them. If for any reason separation occurs, true love is destroyed. Therefore, in true love there is no concept of divorce.

When a man feels love, the feeling is not generated on its own. The feeling awakens in his heart because of a particular woman. Likewise, the fire of love is kindled in the heart of a woman not by herself alone but by the man she loves.

In other words, our love belongs to our partner. Thus, we should honor our partner’s love as being even more precious than our love.

True love comes through both horizontal and vertical reciprocal relationships. A horizontal relationship of true love is gradually elevated in a vertical direction until it eventually reaches the pinnacle. This pinnacle is the position of the "King and Queen of True Love." We are born for the sake of love, live for the sake of love, and finally die for the sake of love.


Adam and Eve's False Love

God’s ideal was for one couple, Adam and Eve, centering on true love, to become the seed from which all the world’s families, clans, nations and, finally, the multitudinous citizenry of the Kingdom of Heaven would be descended. Citizens of the Kingdom of Heaven can be created only in accordance with God’s tradition of true love.

In all creation, the most precious entities are human beings -- men and women.

Furthermore, the most precious part of the human body is not the nose, the eyes, the hands, or even the brain. It is the sexual organs, the main organs of love. Everything in the universe can be recreated through the sexual parts.

Most living things -- whether plants or animals -- multiply through sex.

The most precious and outstanding family begins with a husband and wife who are one with each other. Our love organs are the main sanctuary of life, occupying a position of incredible value where blood lineage and history are connected. God’s fundamental principle is to create through male and female.

For a man and woman to share absolute love, however, they should have only one partner. We must not have two or more partners, but only one, eternally.

There is absolutely only one man for each woman and one woman for each man. That is why God did not create two Adams or two Eves. Tragically, in the world today we see children who have had as many as ten stepfathers. How false and degraded love has become!

When men and women uphold and preserve chastity, they are protecting the universe. The discipline of love between men and women is the foundation of the universe. We must not abuse our love as if we were animals. Our love can only have one owner. The word "true" in "true love" does not allow for the possibility of more than one partner. There can be only one. This is an absolute law.

Not just anyone can say they have 'true love'. Only God can really love with true love, and only God absolutely owns true love. God’s true life, God’s true lineage, and God’s true conscience emerges from true love. In this way, the most fundamental essence of God is true love.


God’s Children

We are created as God’s children. As we grow in love, relating to brothers and sisters, becoming husbands and wives, giving birth and raising children, God is present each step of the way, harvesting true love. God observes and guides us as we develop, and He becomes the owner of love at each stage.

In this sense, it can be said that human beings, through whom God comes to own all love, are more precious to God than He is to Himself. In the same way, we attach a thousand times more value to the person we love than to ourselves. God invests Himself for those He loves and then forgets this investment.

Then he invests again and again. In the same way, a wife who wants her husband to be a success invests herself in her husband and then forgets this investment.

By investing herself and forgetting, she enables him to achieve his full potential in life. When we as partners continue to invest in each other and forget, the level of our love is elevated, and we will ultimately find ourselves connected to God. This is how we can fulfill our parent-child relationship with God and have eternal life.

Everyone wants to go to heaven, but those whose attitude is "Everyone should live for me," will not get there. True love begins with embracing and living for the sake of all God’s masterpieces of creation. The way we can reach heaven is to live for all humankind and ultimately for God.

Again, the ideal family and ideal nation are the places where all of us -- as parents, children, couples, brothers and sisters, and nations -- want to establish ownership of true love. From there, eternal world peace will emerge, the Kingdom of God on Earth will dawn, and the Kingdom of God in Heaven will blossom.

Beginning from the year 2000, in every corner of the globe, countless blessed families united with the Parents of Heaven and Earth will initiate a new family revolution and worldwide moral revolution, centering on true love. God is longing to see the eternal ideal Kingdom of God built on Earth as well as in Heaven. Let us join in this holy task. May God’s blessing be abundant upon you and your family."SMM

Perfection of True Love

True Love is at the summit of the world of love; it starts from the highest point in the world. As thunder and lightning come down from heaven, true love also thunders down like lightning from a very high place.



When human beings love one another, their cells are one hundred percent activated.  Even in the satanic world when a man and woman fall in love they say they feel electricity go through them.  This electricity comes from the archangel, therefore it is only uni-cellular.

The original world of love is the lightning of a universal-level love whose power is several thousand times stronger than normal lightning. It is Principle that man and woman cannot meet God unless they put all their energy toward the point where the lightning of love meets.  This is the perfection of the purpose of creation God originally intended to take form.

Moreover, the sound made by all the cells of each organism would be the same as thunder.

From whom do you think true love, which forgives and embraces everything, starts?

Could this high standard of love come originally from human beings?  True love starts from God who is the subject.  God created human beings with true love and He desire to receive true love from humankind.  When God returns that true love once again to man, God and man both perfect true love.

The holiest thing in this world is true love. True love starts from God. 

Any power melts before true love. just looking at or touching it makes you happy.

If God exists, then there is no other way.  God desires to see, listen, eat and touch true love and wishes that we go the way of true love.  We cannot stand before God unless we go the way of true love.  Doesn't man have this desire?  If we receive a kiss from God, we feel as though our insides are exploding with joy.  Would God find happiness by possessing diamonds or jewels?

True love completes the unification of the universe.   Even if you were to view a world-famous masterpiece painting, you would gag at looking at it if it did not include the taste of love.  When true love disappears between husband and wife their relationship is over.

What is the most precious thing for woman? It is man.

Why is it so? Love is an action. A person who only looks at high things cannot unite with low things. Therefore, this person cannot become true. Love can be found through reciprocal action; therefore, if love can relate with high places from a lower place, it can be eternal and can go anywhere. Then, for the first time love becomes genuine. Therefore, we can come up with the concept of eternity when we try to make the love of the lower higher than love of the higher.

Then the quality of man is more important than how he looks or his status.  What is important is if you can find a man who has valuable love and this is the same for woman.  A woman with true love is a true woman. How can we define true love?  True love is love that can love very low things even more than high things.


In this respect, what kind of an existence is God?

God is a God in a high position that can even love those living in the bottom of hell, not just those in heaven.  God must be the one who can love everything.  Because of the principle of action, God should be able to love the lower more than the higher He is the one with the concept of eternity.

True love makes you feel that when you meet a person you want to be with that person for hundreds and thousands of years.  The love between a husband and wife makes them want to love each other eternally.

 In true love, there cannot be any hell or Satan.

The body of a human being has five senses. Man is made to feel and recognize true love through these five senses. An eye looking toward true love would be covered and intoxicated by it. How beautifully an eye shines when it is intoxicated by true love!

God made man to feel and recognize true love through these five senses.  Have you noticed how a person in love eye's shine when intoxicated by true love?  Think of a smiling mouth enraptured in true love.  How beautiful is it for God to see the five senses in harmony moving toward Him intoxicated by true love.  God cannot experience the joy and beauty from this alone; He must experience this through a partner.  This is the purpose of God creating humankind.

If there are a beautiful man and woman who want to touch the eye, kiss the lips, or play the melody of the mind intoxicated by true love, what would God do? If there is an Eve of true love, God would have the desire to at once travel the world of her heart. God would be driven to see how deep and wide is the heart of this beautiful Eve.

God would want to travel in the world of Adam and Eve's heart, which has more beauty than the heaven and earth God created. Definitely, God would want to travel in the world of the heart of a person of true love more than He would want to travel the universe, and God would not want to depart from the world of Adam and Eve's heart of true love.

If God had found this kind of love after creating humankind, what kind of world would this be?

After God created humankind, if God became intoxicated in man and woman's true love, what would have happened to this world? God would have been living in man and woman, and the world which God and they created together definitely would have been a world filled with happiness and beauty.

If this kind of true love had been established between men and women, God would have submerged in that love and would always be happy.

In that world of true love, every human being would have lived happily ever after for the rest of their lives without regret.  There would be no history of war, complaints, divorce or unhappiness.

If true love were perfected in the history of humankind, then all the problems of politics, economy and culture, including struggles and fights, would be solved. All the difficult problems in the world now can be fundamentally solved only through the perfection of true love.

True love is eternal, unchanging and has no day or not.  If it is only for myself, then it is not true love.  True love is not an individual possession.  For instance, a man can love other people and women, but if that love is only for himself with no connection to wife, or others, it is satanic love.

True Love is what ultimately connects family, society, nation, world and the universe.

The Christian ethic of 'love each other' is not about receiving love.  Love is for the sake of the other which means each 'serves for the sake of others'.

What kind of world would it be if in the morning you woke up and all the people served and sacrificed for the sake of someone else and the whole instead of oneself?  This would be a world of peace.

If the whole world came to love each other with true love, even at the price of death, there would be a burning fire of rebirth.  If all people loved each other, the world would be like a flower of happiness and peace blossoming to fill the world with a beautiful fragrance.

A world where everyone actualizes true love is indeed the ideal of humankind.  However, our current world, everyone asks to be loved first, struggles, fights, jealousy and doubts result.

Truth does not exist far away from us, it exists within us.

The Starting Point of Love

At the beginning of this blog about 9 months ago, I brought up the notion of perfection.  Is it possible for one to be perfected?  Originally, God created Adam and Eve to reach perfection through full maturity before they consummated in the giving of their fruits of love.

Wouldn't an absolute, almighty being want to have an absolute, perfect being in which to have relations or a corrupted being?  Of course, if God had planned for humanity to live in the perfect world known as the Garden of Eden and had no other choice, but to throw us out after humanity's mistake, would He give up His dream and desire to fulfill the ideal of His creation?

I don't think God would give up.  Therefore, throughout history, God strives to bring humanity back to their original position before the Fall.  He brought religion, countless saints, and the Messiah to turn humanity away from the fallen path we have inherited.

Since our first ancestors misused love away from God, what is the starting point of true love?


The Perfection of the individual

An individual cannot attain perfection by knowledge, power or money.

Rather, perfection is realized through love -- not vulgar love, but the original love. By this love everything is perfected.

Perfection can only be realized through love.  Not just any kind of love but the original love.  Through this love, everything is perfected.  We each are born with five senses: sight, hearing, taste, touch and smell.  Each senses should be centered on perfected love.  This means that every sensation of our eyes, nose, mouth, hands and so forth should be perfected centering on love.

One cannot abide in that state by oneself. One must be relating ever more closely with a counterpart. One's counterpart is ever changing, and the feelings coming from one's counterpart are ever changing.

When our five senses become one centering on love we then experience the world in a state of ecstasy.  We would be enraptured by our surroundings and lovingly take in the world around us.

God created the mind and body based on love. 

For an individual to become perfect, these must become one. An individual grows to maturity through their eternal give and take action.

The quality of love can fill an enlarged space or shrink to an infinitely small point.  This is heavenly love.  Through the eyes of love, it does not matter if something is big or small.  Small things have their value in small packages and large things have their value in a big package.  This is God's desire to create such a world of love.

To begin the process of perfecting an individual one must start from love then mature centering on love.  This process resembles a bud growing into fruit. Then when the person attains the proper standard of love, God will dwell in his future marriage.  Until his love has matured, there is no basis upon which to bear good fruit.

Everything is created and sustained based upon the law of love. 

Fruit is produced after a flower blooms, the stamen and pistil within the flower engage in give and take action creating a circular motion.  This is the same in the animal world and among human beings.  Everything in creation can only reach completion through the relationship of love, therefore, every entity can become perfect only through love.

When you become one with the core of the realm of God's love, mind and body can be united and become mature.  This is the process how a person who has not fallen grows toward individual perfection.

The perfection of an individual means the unification of mind and body. 

When the mind in the subject position engages in give and take action with the body in the object position, then this unified mind and body becomes the object of God. 

The mind should be unchanging forever.  The mind tends to focus on heaven and the body tends toward the world.

This is based upon the Cosmic Teaching and calls upon us to unite the incorporeal and corporeal worlds.  If a person wants to rule the cosmos, shouldn't they have a united mind and body?  Without a united mind and body, that person will perish.

what should they center on?  The mind and body should unite centered on God and then you become the external God reflecting His inner and outer nature.  How does one unite the mind to a fallen body?  We should center this unity upon love.


You can be your own worst enemy if you cannot unite your mind and body.

The perfection of an individual starts from the point where he or she makes a vertical relationship with God.  It is faith of the parent-child relationship.

What is individual perfection in this day?  As God loves us, this is the law of the Principle. We must also love God because love is only realized when subject and object give and take, there is no separation between God and His children.  This is the starting point for individual perfection.

We should establish a tradition of mutual love, respect and attendance of God as the vertical center.  Then we receive his love as His sons and daughters.

One should fulfill their individual responsibility on their way to individual perfection.  Before God can fully display His love for fallen, unclean man and woman, we must first perfect our character.

What do you think perfection of character means? It means to become a person who can fulfill his or her responsibility. That is to say, one must first be restored to one's original position before the Fall and then reach perfection, finally capable of fulfilling one's responsibility. This process involves a revolutionary change in character.

Since God is the subject partner to love, He requires an absolute object partner in which to have give and take action of love.

Individual perfection means the perfection of character. 

Once you clearly understand that you can obtain true love only after you have perfected your character, you must bear in mind that there is no other way to go besides the way of perfecting your character.

Once a person fulfills their responsibility and become mature people before God in a position to praise and love Him, he or she realizes the perfection of character.    The only way to obtain true love is by perfecting our fallen, sinful character.

People who live externally only in the satanic world has no connection to the realm of heart.

Once you have gone through a revolution of character, then and only then will you be led to true love.  One will never be able to reach perfection as long as they remain selfish, self-centered, have worldly greed, attachment to children, and having cultural superiority.  These are Satan's traps.

To become mature in character we must deny everything in the satanic world, by denying every worldly thing and bear much persecution.  Those who think centered on themselves and not God remain tied to the satanic realm.  Once you inherit God's heart and reached a perfected character, then you can connect with God's standard of character.

We must become people who can meet the standard of the original perfected character by continuously reforming ourselves and fulfilling our given responsibilities.

The Divine Principle, Unification Thought can make you reform and perfect yourself delving into the depths, pains and truths of God's heart.

To reform this world, we must perfect our character one hundred percent. Otherwise, we cannot reach the level of perfect joy.

What if war ended and there was peace all over the world.  Each one of us would not experience perfect joy as long as memories of the Fall remain in us.  How can we call it World Peace if when we go home we cannot be happy or love our wife or children fully because of sin?  We must erase the notion that human beings fell and become beings who are more than one hundred percent perfect.

Where is love's embarkation point, love's encampment, and the place of love's safe settlement?

Among you, some might hope that it is your mind and body. In fact, if your mind and body become the place where God's love can settle safely, then you will become the perfect encampment for unification.

God can safely settle in the mind and body then you become the perfect encampment for unification.  You become the object of God's love and become God's direct son who will inherit the family business which is the enterprise of heaven and earth.  When God witnesses this day wouldn't He cry tears of gratitude welcoming you proudly, "Oh, my son!"?


Where does love start?

We must be able to correspond with the harmony of heaven and earth and carry out our responsibility.

Love begins from a perfected individual after going through adolescence and become qualified to love the opposite sex.  We must correspond to heaven and earth and carry out our responsibility.  However, Adam and Eve did not begin their family in this way.  Their love could not happen where heaven and earth could unite.

They did not have the destined love, but united centered on satanic love.  Every human descended from the first parents who never tasted God's true love.  We do not even understand the concept of a world of true love.  We must each prepare a foundation of true love centered on God, then he comes down for the first time with His love.

God looks down at humans as His masterpiece and cannot help but loving them when He sees them love each other and makes a way for people to join in relationships of love.  God existed first as the Word and thereafter creating all things, created human beings on the last day.  God created Adam as His object partner and the female Eve as Adam''s object partner.

Centering on God, Adam and Eve in the position of subject and object partners are to make a relationship of love. At the same time, God and the two human beings, Adam and Eve, would make a relationship of subject and object partners.

Were Adam to make a subject-object relationship with God, without making a subject-object relationship with Eve, he would not be able to possess God's eternal love, nor could he exist eternally. By only making a relationship with God, Adam would only be able to move in a straight line. The same would apply if he related only with Eve.

Eternity and perfection are obtained not from linear motion, but require spherical motion. To change from linear motion to spherical motion, Adam also needs to make a relationship with Eve as his object partner. Adam alone cannot establish the harmony of life and love.

Everything in creation exists based on movement through three points or it will not be perfect or eternal.    Adam was to approach God through His object Eve and Eve through Adam, not through a straight line.  This way, they would proceed in a spherical movement.  To approach Eve, they would have to have a love relationship, because by himself he does not have the strength to approach God.

We know that Adam and Eve chose love outside of God's realm, but what if they had reached perfection and had completely matured as man and woman to receive the marriage blessing of God instead of getting kicked out.

They would have centered on one love and become Mother and unite with the entire universe.  We see the opposite in our environment in these Last Days.  They would have united with God and have initiated a new beginning in the universe, in heaven and earth.

How could this begin.  The starting point of a cosmos of peace was to be God's love.

Where would be the origin of this God-centered unified love?

God had originally intended that Adam and Eve would mature and embrace all things in heaven and earth.   Their hearts would have overflowed with happiness, enraptured in God's love.    Their love would have hope for tomorrow and be big enough to embrace all future generations.  This would be the starting point for true love to appear uniting man and woman centering on God's love.  By not reaching this level, the starting point of unified love does not appear.

After an individual achieves perfection as a spouse in the conjugal relationship, we should receive public recognition center on God's love to establish the true ideal.
