God's Purpose Not to Satisfy Public Opinion

Someone might ask, "Reverend Moon, what kind of person are you? You confuse me. You came to America and you disapproved of many things here. You spoke against the Carter administration and now you are criticizing the young people here. You just don't make sense to the American mentality."

How would I answer that? It is no secret that our movement is strictly based upon God's principles; we are a religious movement. Every position I have taken has been as a leader of a religious organization which was initiated by God. I have never said anything for the purpose of
pleasing other people, including Americans.

God definitely does not do things for the sole purpose of satisfying the public opinion.

God is above everyone.  He is able to see everything in America, so He is in the best position to give advice and direction from that vantage point.

If your viewpoint is only inside a situation, then it is limited.

This country was born out of the desire to seek God without limit.  Thus, it has no reason to disregard God's will in these Last Days.

The United States must be in accord with God's direction. 

The American youth are experiencing drugs, drinking, club dancing, free-sex, but these are not tools or instruments of God.  How do these thing help advance humanity to a world of peace?

We should focus the excess energy of young people for the sake of mankind and God.

Since we are not able to influence others directly, we set up our own framework within the movement.  The young members are then chased out to do the work of restoration through fundraising and witnessing.

This is not done for Father's sake, but for a special motivation - the sake of America and the world.

Why do you follow this way?

It is because Father has never refrained from what God wanted him to say.  He has worked from the very beginning to teach about the orderliness of nature and the universe.

People of faith should be able to see clearly that the American behavior is against God's will.

The post before this mentioned that children should listen to their parents, yet when the parents tell them not to follow this path of restoration in the movement, we know that the parents are wrong.

What principle should we use in order to determine what is right or wrong?

We must always consider what will maintain the right order of the universe and then we will always come out the victors.

Father is looked down upon as a failure by virtually everyone in the world, but because he has cleared a path for full restoration, he is successful.

We can say our parents look like victors because they have a steady income, are respected and are not persecuted by the community.  But eventually they may end up on the defeated side, while those walking this bloody path of restoration will end up successful.

We may appear as outcasts and losers just as Jesus and his disciples did in his lifetime, but we will become the true victors in the future.  That is as certain as daylight.

Members are constantly faced with sensitive and confusing situations in their daily life, but the Principle prevails always.

We should understand people in all kinds of situations or else we can't reach out to them.  Don't you think God knows all about club dancing?  To know about such thing is never bad.


It really doesn't bother my conscience to go to any place. I even visited the homes of prostitutes when I was younger in order to understand their society and why they did what they did. At that time, I thought, "There is no assurance that even after the Unification Church becomes prosperous, some of the members won't end up in this situation, even among the married couples."


Would it be wrong to educate about drinking by inviting members to drink from a big keg of beer?

If you are able to understand the problems of drinkers by doing that and thus help them, it is not wrong.  However, this does not mean to say you should go out and visit every dreadful place of the world just to see how they operate.  There is too much risk in that.

Members are urged to be clean cut and cut the long hair such as the hippies wear.  There is nothing wrong in this hairstyle, but right behind the well-meaning of peace hippies want, there are evil elements of free-sex and even gangs and communism.

It does not matter to God how long one's hair is.  In the real world a man with long hair is considered to be a hippie living without any responsibilities or rules.

If we are to distance ourselves spiritually from the standards of the world, we have to keep ourselves clean cut and different in appearance.

Established Christian churches tell their congregation, "Don't drink. Period." But if you were to gently ask them why, they would not have an answer.  They would say that it causes bad behavior and fights and loose morals.

If a minister was to pass by such a brawl, he would say, "Poor souls," and continue on.  But if Father was to see such a scene, he would take off his shirt and try to break it up.

"I have always tried to mediate and judge who was right and who was wrong. That is the true role of a minister." 

Who else would break up such a fight?

This sort of toughness is necessary.  It is good to join all sorts of games and sports, becoming not only friends of the players but even a leader among them!  This is why a karate gymnasium was set up in the Unification Theological Seminary.

Where else in the world does such a sport exist in a seminary?

The students of the seminary were asked if they wanted a karate gymnasium and it was explained why it would be a good idea and they each agreed.

The gymnasium was not built in order to become a threat to anybody, but in order to protect ourselves and to be able to preserve the orderliness of society and the world.

There are a lot of evil people who do not understand any language other than strength.

Many people wondered why religious people should take an aggressive stance against communism.  No one was taking a positive approach to ending Communism - not the American government, the FBI or the CI and certainly there were no students taking a stand before the Reagan administration.
Therefore, Victory Over Communism program took up the course.

What is wrong with aggressively stopping Satan? 

If God said that it was wrong for people of faith to fight communism, then we would not do it.  No one else could do it, so we cannot hold back out of fear.

Thus, we launched many demonstrations on college campuses.  Established churches have not been able to tackle the true social problems in America or even understand the true nature of them.

Not many people understand how religion should eliminate the problems of the world.  Would God look down upon such people and say that they were an embarrassment to Heaven?

This may be hard to understand, but the more experience you accumulate, the more you will realize its truth.

Some graduating students are embarking upon careers in the world of art and dance in the future.  In that world, there are no clear-cut strict society and discipline as in religion.  You have to be able to discern with sensitivity and subtlety what is good and bad in those areas.

We must pursue love, but only in its legitimate and orderly form. 

We are all born for the purpose of love, but engaging in the improper order of love is wrong.

The proper order of love:

First, we must try to love our parents and God as our masters.

Whether God and my parents approve of me is indicated by my orderliness.  The most important area is love.  Two people who are about to get married are entering a love relationship for eternity.

Should that person say that they don't care what God, their parents or anyone else says?

This is not the harmonious way.  No matter how strongly you feel that you have found the perfect mate, if God withholds His blessing upon it, will that union be possible to last?

People have come to believe that just because they believe someone is ideal that their family will love them, too.

This is the American pattern to choose someone and present them in front of the family demanding their approval, but this is the wrong way.

Just like in the olden days, majority followed the tradition of order where they present their possible mate first for approval before going on a date or parents chose for their children whom to marry.


I didn't come into being first and then my parents later, and then God. First, it was God, then my parents, and then me, in that order. So in making an important decision about getting married, it should be done according to the right order. Is that right or wrong?


One fiancee told a member that he needed her to come to him now and disregard her parents and if she loved him that she would go.

The girl asked Father whether she should go see her fiancee or he may let her go.  God established the true order of relationships.  A  leader does not have the authority to go beyond God's proper order and give instructions to just go give love at the improper time and say they do not know what the results will be.

A true leader would advise the woman that her fiancee will have to overcome his own desires.  Is that the wrong way or the right way?

Preserving and restoring right love order must be our main concern. 

Our lives themselves are secondary to the maintenance of this principle.

The most important thing in our individual lives is to establish order.  It would be better if we lose our life than to live with a confused standard of order and then later have to pay the consequences.

Dr. Durst has many members who come to him with problems asking for advice.  How can he answer them?

Of course it is natural to be on each person's side and he is concerned with each.  However, he must think about the proper order.

Even though he wants to side with someone he cares about, if his answer violates the principle of love's proper order he cannot do so.

Why are you special Americans?

Because you know these simplistic principles and are following God consistently with your whole heart.  Would you like to be ordinary citizens?

The ordinary way of marriage is to get married right away after your engagement.  The special way is to wait two years and wait to consummate the relationship when you are married.

If you are able to see that this is a valuable principle and apply them in all situations, you will be an eternal victor.  Just like a long-range shot that enters past the goalie in a soccer game,  you will be the victors in the end.

If you have the kind of thinking that as long as you master the principles set forth by God, then you know you can go nowhere else but Heaven.


Every single decision I have made in my life was done according to the principle of proper order. I have come up through many levels to this successful realm and so should you.  That is why I have been teaching you to apply this rule in your own life.

One World Family

We speak about World Peace, beauty queens speak about world peace even soccer players and politicians all have the agenda toward world peace.  Is world peace simply just war ending and everyone laying down their weapons as a nation?

Then if this was to happen what about on a societal level of peace?  Is it true peace if there is no more war, but people still are afraid to leave their homes in their neighborhoods, or go home because of a fear of a spouse?

What is truly World Peace and what will it look like when God's ideal dream finally is realized in our reality?

After we entered into the new millennium we moved quickly in the direction of an unified world.  The twentieth century was the most violent in all of human history.  The religious call this Armageddon.  the last struggle between the good side of God's people and the evil side that fought on the side of satan through the use of the communistic world.

We are going beyond the "one nation under God" and are moving toward "one universe under God".  This will bring about the universal family that was prophesied for many centuries. Some call. this the Utopia.  A world of peace.

This will now begin to become a reality and not just a work of fiction or an fruitless dream of many who fought for good.

Even in this new era, there are obstacles on this path toward world unity pertaining to racism and religious strife which are a formidable, lingering force.

God is the first ancestor.

These obstacles stand against His will.  God does not see race or national borders.  In reality, the five different colors of humanity reflect the climate from which they originate.

White people began in the Arctic region and spread through Scandinavia, Britain and across the world.  The yellow race lived mainly in Asia practicing agriculture.  They have a deep love for the land.  Their soft skin eventually turned brown.  Black people are like the black bear of the tropics.  Their skin is black because they lived near the equator where the sun's ray's are intense.

The different skin colors among the races have no significance in terms of superiority or inferiority.  It is simply a matter of our having adapted to different environments.

The make up of every human's body is 99.6% identical.  God did not create skin color.  He is the God of love and He is colorblind.  To God, color does not hold any qualitative importance.  In the spirit world, color does not exists - only the color of true love.

In the spirit world, there are no walls between nations, denominations, or religions. It is a world composed of one huge family.



Jesus' words:

"For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life," 

John 3:16


Let's take a look beyond the boundaries of Christianity to reveal the nature of salvation on a universal, global level.

One roadblock to a peaceful world is the divisions among the religious group.  God only created religion in order to usher in the new world and teach you and me the path to walk.  He did not create religion to break into different denominations and religious groups.

Religion is the direct result of the fall - not a part of God's original ideal.

Originally, Adam and Eve would directly link their love to God directly and bare children with God's lineage.  Satan is the originator who created division between religions, nations and peoples.

Satan works to build barriers between the people and God works hard to tear these barriers down.

The great founders in spirit world, Jesus, Buddha, Muhammad and Confucius have worked as well to tear down any barriers between their followers in spirit world.  These leaders can go back and forth and communicate freely with one another.

In the future, the Home Church format of witnessing of God's love to 360 people in your hometown will gradually become well established on earth.

Ultimately, organized churches, temples and mosques will disappear.

Why doesn't God just intervene and return the world to the original Garden?  Even Satan does not want to destroy the evil world he created.  God by Himself alone cannot reverse the ill effects of the fall.  If He had the ability to do this alone, He would have prevented the Fall or would have reversed the problem as soon as it happened and end sin within the first generation of Adam's family.

The only one that can reverse the mistake of Adam partaking in false love is a person who conquered on the individual level the position of Adam before the Fall.  The perfected Adam's family is the only family that will possess the original nature of love that originated from God.

Jesus was brought to earth and became the perfected Adam, but many wrong paths of the people of his time occurred and instead of building a world of peace centering on his family, he went the secondary way through the cross in order to bring about salvation through the spiritual level only.

In the original world, parents would officiate their children's ceremony where the children come to resemble their parents and inherit the parents' lineage.


Restoring the Order of Love


"The completion of the unification of all the religions in both the spiritual and physical worlds have been declared. All the saints in the spirit world, my own children who have joined the spirit world and all the blessed couples were included.

In summary, the True Parents are the king and queen of the families. Has there ever been anyone who could claim that he or she is the king or queen of the family, standing as a representative of heaven and earth, with absolute purity?

In order to become the king of the family, we have to become the parents among parents and the first son among first sons."

All of Creation Has an Order

There is an order to everything.  Among brothers, the first son should be the first to marry and start his family.  The order is violated a lot these days which mirrors the path of restoration for humanity.  People go this and that way, follow the reverse order; the disorder should come to an end.

When the right order is not followed, everything will fall apart.  The world has become this way.

How do we begin to repair or undo these problems?  All problems that deal with illicit love relationships stem from this confusion.  When people revolve around without knowing the center or the source, these wrong kinds of relationships occur.

As a consequence, they grab and consume one another.  In this era of confusion, chaos and family-level disarray, people bump around hooking up with one another without any sense of order.  This goes even beyond the national level.

The self-indulgent lifestyle of many diplomats can testify to this statement.

God could not interfere with the tragedy of the fall or with marriages.  Even in these Last Days.  Since it was the first parents that became false parents through false love and false life centering on satan's ideal, the true parents have to reject these false ideals and restore true love, life and lineage through indemnity.



Liberation Through Sacrifice


What is the meaning of Matthew 10:39,

"Those who seek their life will lose it"?

We should be able to reach beyond the level of death in fulfilling God's providence. We should be able to say, "I still have energy to do God's work, even after I die."

In this way, we will live.

There is no resurrection for those who fear death and run away to save themselves.

Even if God takes the position where He might lose His life, He will live.  But if God lives for only His own sake and His own being and life, there there will be no completion of the ideal world.

This is how God saves fallen humanity.  When you throw a rope to the bottom of the pit you have to keep pulling the rope up until you bring everybody up to the top.  This is how God offers everything to humankind   Therefore, He is not sitting up on His throne enjoying being glorified.

Therefore, the Messiah should work even harder than God and be willing to lose his own life.

Those in the Western word always shout out, "I want freedom!  Freedom!"  Even though the Western world has high-standard education, it is still confined within the context of the fallen world.  The idea of family, society, world, religion and the providence of God are missing.  In this respect  the Oriental and Western systems are 180 degrees opposite of the other.  Even the family concept is different.

"Ultimately we even have to liberate God. I started from the smallest level and finally came to the position of liberating God."

Therefore in these last days, the concepts of the Western world will diminish where we cannot find the concept of tribe, people nation, world and cosmos in this selfish individualism.    How do we begin to awaken a new concept in the world and cosmos?

Reverend Sun Myung Moon has brought the Completed Testament The Divine Principle to the earth by conquering satan spoken of in the book of Revelations.  He has taught the view of the family all the way to the view of God.

How was it done?  By starting with the smallest point: mind-body unity.

When one clings to selfish individualism, he cannot reach a position of absolute unity in order to build a family, nation and world that can return to God.  Individualism is the enemy of religion, conscience and God.  It is connected directly to satan.  It makes no difference whether you are a laborer or a graduate of Yale, Harvard or Oxford, this rule is true for all.

The life of free sex and homosexuality will lead people to drugs and AIDS which are detrimental to human survival.


Have No Fear


We have entered the era of Heaven on Earth where the True Parents and children have been liberated.  There is nothing to fear even if you are locked up, you should not be afraid.

The cosmos is in my hands. You should not deny that you have ultimate value as a child of God. You should not worry.

Today, by holding God's kingship ceremony, we have changed the nation. It is the time to worry about how to follow the will of God. God has been pained with the history of resentment. We need to provide the supportive force so that God can do whatever He wants to do freely without restrictions.

His children are to build heaven on earth and should be able to say to God, "Please wake up and take me along."  From now on things will change.  You should know how to guide Him.  God is to have full authority based on this new kingship.

Before, satan was the ruler of this world doing as he pleased breeding suffering.  Thankfully, that old world has now passed away and it is time to bring in new wineskins.

How do you achieve individual perfection?

It comes through the mind and body becoming one.  When we centered our mind and body on satan at the time of the fall, we inherited his blood lineage.  This fallen blood became stronger than the conscience.  To cut this tragedy we should under no circumstances follow bodily desires.


Three Immutable Laws



We should recognize that there are immutable laws that we should follow:

The first law is not to stain the blood lineage even unto the point of dying.

The second law is not to infringe upon another human's rights or heart.

Whether we are female, male, black or white we are all equal with God as our Ultimate Parent.

One must not discriminate or violate human rights. Extending this, one in the leadership position should not change someone else's position based solely on their own feelings.

The one who practices true love, honoring human rights in the correct way, living for the sake of others, is in the mainstream. 

The creation of heaven and earth began from that point. Whoever commits an act that dilutes or squanders this main current of thought is not to be tolerated. Violation of this is the second of all sins.

The third law is to refrain from stealing money to fulfill selfish desires. Seventy percent of the people in jail are there because of these crimes. If you are imprisoned, you will see this is true. Human rights infringements and lineage violations are problems that concern man and woman. Then come the money problems. Following these are the problems dealing with power and money.

The third law pertains to taking money solely to benefit selfish desires.  The jail system is filled with crimes such as these.  The human rights and lineage violations concern both the men and the women.  Then comes the power and money problems.

Money, knowledge and power have ruled the satanic world.

Starting today should pledge not to contaminate the blood lineage bequeathed through God's love and life.  To not follow the actions of the fallen world.  Even if your spouse dies, you must pledge that you will not stain the blood lineage.  When a husband and wife quarrel, they should be able to stop immediately when they remember this unbreakable, impermeable determination.  Once you understand this principle, you must abide by it even if you have to die a thousand times.

What's the first? Purity! Second? Abuse of human rights! Third? Misuse of money!


This is absolute necessary to maintain the kingship of heaven.  Therefore, do not neglect your older brother or younger brother.  In the secular world, people do not care if their siblings need help, but we cannot neglect in-laws or relatives.

How Shall We Live?


Those who graduated from a university neglect those who only have a high school diploma.  This is a sin.  It violates human rights.

In the beginning, God called out to Cain and asked where was his brother and Cain answered that he was not his brother's keeper.  This was after Cain had murdered Abel.  Those with a selfish lifestyle will not succeed no matter how lavish or great a life they may portray.  Try living this way or look at many people who have fallen from the top.

Following this offense is the misuse of money.  The selfish abuse of the public environment is just as sinful and fearful as the misuse of public money.

The whole universe dislikes those who incur a debt. 

Would those in a family or clan love it if one of the members created a debt that caused the whole clan to fall into debt?  In the end the whole clan would punish this person. Debt does not always mean money.


"Do you understand the three points? Count the number of determinations you have made in your heart to follow the laws of the kingdom of heaven. Do you pledge to do that? The laws have to do with purity, equalization of all people, and proper use of national property. You should understand everything well and make it habitual.

You will avoid the wrong actions only when you reach the stage in which as soon as your mouth opens these articles of the kingdom of heaven come out.

There is no doubt you will face these challenges in life. There will probably be many such circumstances, but if you make an effort to abstain from violating the law, the challenges will make you a victorious person. As long as you keep up with these heavenly laws, you do not need Reverend Moon's teaching. You will naturally enter the Kingdom of God."



We all want to live a good life.  Does anyone consider living alone a good life?  We should live together.  Then what kind of people, rules and environment would be best for this environment?

There are three simple answers:  The parent-child relationship, the conjugal relationship and the brother-sister relationship.

Brothers and sisters are in the position of children in front of their parents;it refers to a relationship among children of the same parents.

When you share the same mother and father, naturally you have the brother-sister relationship.  Those of the extended family such as in-laws and all cousins are related.  Once the parent-child relationship and conjugal relationships are connected, the brother and sisters automatically exist.

Then all of the relationships that are shared between humankind would become a brother-sister relationship on the worldwide level.  God created these relationships in order for us to live a great life of harmony.

If you cannot become a model for others to live the best life, then you are not leading a true life.  

Every person has to be an example to others because in order to live a virtuous life, guidance is necessary.  If you can become an example before the mother, father, husband and wife and the children, then you are living a virtuous life.



Goals for Your Life


The time will come when the nation will recognize the family within its borders that is living the best life.  This family will have three generations each of which form the perfected four-position foundation (the oneness of God, husband, wife and children).

The time will come when the president will present the award inside the home of the family exemplifying the best life.



"There are three relationships, parent and child, husband and wife, and among the children. The brother-sister relationship is a consequence of the harmony of all these relationships.

Therefore, whether in a brother-sister relationship or children's relationship, in order to become a person standing in the position of subject, you must influence others positively, such that not even one person can live without you.

From now on, even if you are accused as a traitor and executed in the view of the world, if you keep these things absolutely, your family will belong to the heavenly royal family that possesses eternal freedom, unity and liberation.

I want you to remember this clearly. Keep it as a motto. In the motto of the third millennium, I mentioned pure lineage, the equality of human rights, and the preservation of national public assets. That means, do not be a thief.

What is next?

Be an example!

Be an exemplary parent, exemplary spouse, exemplary child and exemplary sibling. If you form such a family, people in your neighborhood will say, "We should follow that person. I want to live with him." 

That person is surely a citizen of kingdom of heaven, and heaven will remember that family forever.

I explained to you on this historic day, the day of the Coronation Ceremony of God's Kingship, the three most important things that humankind must uphold and by which you can be truly liberated in your family and in your nation. I hope you can remember these contents and keep them as the goals of your life.

In the Completed Testament era, we must understand about the spirit world. May you study about spirit world and God, and may you live for the sake of others. If you do so, you will receive the blessing and become a blessed family.

Through living for others, you prepare for your eternal life. We all should try to gain this heavenly fortune, which surpasses the fruit of all earthly effort.

In front of the living God, with humility, let us be children of filial piety and loyalty. Let us become the sacred children of God. In light of God's sovereignty, in this age of kingship, let us stand together to establish a world of peace, love and harmony.

God Needs Liberation, Too

"No matter how many times I may have said that I want to liberate God, God says, 'All right. Before you consider liberating me, please take care of the problems of the world first. Then come and tell me that you want to liberate me.' This is why I have sought out the most difficult problems of the world and taken them upon my shoulders."

Many people and nations may wonder how such a country with such a young government ever came to power as America in a few short hundred years.  America was started with the founding heart of rebels.  People who left their country who wanted to serve God and not the church on a new land.  Their reference to God and the Bible in their laws and in their way of life is directly correlated to the country's rapid growth and dominance in world. 

Fast forward not too far into the future and America's biggest problem is the loss of the order and discipline of love and the lack of a guiding clear philosophy of life.  True Love has been downgraded in our ways of life and through the media.  There are many religions, but no guiding principle of how individuals express their love on a brother, matrimonial and parental level.  In order for every person to experience true, lawful love, we need to restore its discipline and order.  In addition, the majority of the population lack a superior philosophy of life, and thus life their life day to day without a central, guiding principle.

The other problem in the world today is communism.  The walls came tumbling down, but communism still spreads its atheistic viewpoint like a poison to the world.  We live in a free country that practices freedom of speech and faith, but everyday we lose religious freedom in all facets of life as the atheistic viewpoint takes over our country.

Satan's vehicle is communism, and he must be driven out.  The faithful must reestablish the order of love and restore the eternal unchanging ideology which is the central theme of all human life.  This is not an easy task. 

The only way for change is for the Messiah to return and guide humanity to solve these problems.  That's right, for us to pick up our plows and begin the work of recreation.  If restoring the world was easy with the snap of God's finger, the world would have been restored in the garden of Eden and God would have never given us free will to choose to live by His rules.

Because God gave His children freedom to choose His way or the satanic way, when we chose satan's words over His in the garden and to this day, it essentially placed God in a prison not of his own making.  A prison where he watches His children get murdered, become reckless and live individual lives without His purpose and die and go to hell.

So, God is all powerful, but gave His children 5% responsibility to go after that power. 


The Order of Love

When the Messiah returns, his first task is to restore the central ideology which will lead humanity to reestablish the order and discipline of love.  Then humanity will be able to return to the true, lawful love.

The second responsibility to return order to the world is to chase out satan. 

What about you? Are you restoring the order and discipline of love within the realm of your life and activity? You need the Marriage Blessing given directly by God in order to do begin the true work of recreation of your lineage. The Blessing is the pinnacle in your course of restoring love.

These are not my ideals and concepts, but those taught by the Returned Messiah.  These teachings explain what the world should be like, what the nation should be like, and how society should function and how each of us should live. 

These teachings of the Divine Principle which is based on the bible is the basis of each of Achieve World Peace blogs.   The central theme is the ideal pattern for individuals, societies, nations, the world and even the Kingdom of Heaven on Earth.  Each of these facets has a clear-cut formula to follow to return to true love.

Right now, religion is trying to banish Satan from this world, day in and day out.  You and others are waging a "Knock Out Satan" campaign whenever you restore the order of love and the ideology of God.  On the other side of that, satan is always trying to promote illicit and abnormal love.  Abnormal is when objects just float around without following any principle and is confusing front and back, right and left.

What is abnormal love?

The evidence is evident in our nation when it is 'normal' for a gentleman to sleep with one woman one night and prowls for another every night.  Also, when one has sexual relations with a family member or homosexuality tendencies.  These are just a few examples of abnormal illicit love that has nothing to do with God's original love.  Even though these practices have become the norm, it goes against God's purpose of creation and ideal of love.

How many of us desire and hope for any type of these loves?  Does society agree that these few examples are abnormal type of love or normal?  Society has deemed that temporary, illicit love is in fact normal behavior. 

If one is not clear on the distinction of abnormal and normal love, satan will keep following them until they fully practice the normal way of love.  Once true normal love is practiced which begins with living for the sake of others, then satan can no longer follow that person.  How can he follow someone who does not have his traits?

When we live for a selfish purpose, only looking out for ourselves, we make it easy for satan to always be right behind us.  There is a remedy for anyone following the wrong path.  Once we start living for the sake of others, satan must retreat.  This is the dividing line. 

Satan can not claim someone who is living for the sake of the whole and for others.  Once you are living for the sake of all people of the world, the entire world will welcome you and satan will have to go away.

Since the world is entrenched deeply in sin, how do we save the world and then release God from the prison in which we have placed Him?  We have been discussing about the two principal needs of mankind: liberation from illicit love and liberation from the bondage of false ideology. 

When mankind is liberated, satan will leave completely.  He will not have a source to attach and have give and take relations to exist.  The presence and existence of satan who was formerly the good angel Lucifer is the main cause of God's imprisonment.

How is it possible for God to be imprisoned?  Because God gave you and I free will to follow Him or not, we chose to not follow God and satan has complete control over God's creation.  Does this sound like freedom for either humanity or God?  It look as if the only winner is satan.

As soon as Satan leaves, God will stand up and slowly walk out to greet us. "Finally I'm free!" He will say. "I have no more worries in the world! Who did it? The Messiah, the Second Advent did. He liberated me!"

Liberation

Until now, you didn't fully comprehend what I meant by the liberation of God and mankind or even knew that God required to be rescued from slavery as well. You didn't know the definition of liberation. By establishing the central ideology that restores the discipline of love and expels Satan, you are liberating mankind and liberating God. Is the task easy or difficult?



When every individual receives this ideology and puts it into practice, there will be no room for Satan. God will be welcomed everywhere. That is how liberation will take place. So to liberate mankind means to liberate God. The two liberations are simultaneous; they are not separate events. One solution will suffice.

Therefore, why do you go out to witness? It is to accomplish this very task. You witness for the liberation of mankind and the liberation of God. Who is working hard and daily for the direct liberation of God, those who accept and practice the words of the Returned Messiah who reveals the hidden truth that the disciples of Jesus' time did not have the ears to hear or the heart to believe.


Digest Everything Through Love

There are many wars, but the world is embroiled in an ideological war. There is a conflict between the God-accepting ideology and the God-denying ideology, between democracy and communism. What is the ideology of the Returned Messiah? Completely on the opposite spectrum, it  is Unificationism. We are bringing everything into harmony and unity. The role of our ideology is to digest everything; it is a "melting pot" ideology.

Reverend Moon the author of the Divine Principle said, "I have a healthy stomach: I can take in everything and digest it. I can eat hot pepper sauce and Korean kimchee, and at the same time I can eat cheese and bread. It makes no difference; everything can be digested into one stomach. Such a stomach is ideal, isn't it? You must be able to digest everything to be an ideal person. What kind of person are you?"
