The Important Thing We Need Most

"What is the most important thing, the one thing we need more than anything else? It is not money, power or knowledge. It is true love. True love is more precious than life itself and more important to us than air or water."

Could this be true?  What about eating, or sleeping and especially isn't making love the most important?  In the context of obtaining true lasting happiness, do any of the above have eternal qualities or leave us lacking once we obtain it?

Then why is true love so precious and important?  Each of us, whether we recognize it or not, want to see God and God wants to see true human beings.  God can only interact with humanity through a mediator, but when we acquire absoluteness, we can relate directly to God.

If God chose either man or woman as more important they would complain.  So, God placed love in the center of man and woman.  Through true love, God can touch and share with men and women at the same time once they center their life living for one another centered on true love.

If God placed something else in the center as the most valuable thing in the universe, men and women would fight each other to try to claim it for themselves instead of uniting and becoming one centered on it.  Once we realize that love has the highest value in the universe, we will strive to live for each other.

We will become one with each other in order to share the happiness that this love brings and possess this love together.

"Everyone likes love. Love is the only thing that can satisfy all human desires. God’s providence of salvation stems from the principle of love."

Are you aware that you have a spirit body that mimics your physical body?  Just as much as you hunger for food to keep your body full of energy and alive, your spirit that lives within you also hungers.  It hungers for true love and for God's truth.  Your spirit body grows by feeding it spiritual food such as this.

This explains why no matter how much one obtains in the material world to satisfy their bodily needs, they still feel satisfied if they leave their spirit lacking.  It is almost like starving your spirit mind and body.

Fundamentally, love belongs to God. Yet even God cannot possess love all by Himself. Love requires a reciprocal partner. A man by himself or a woman by herself cannot experience love.

Women exist for the sake of men’s love and men exist for the sake of women’s love. It does not matter how handsome or beautiful a person may appear on the outside. In their heart, every person desires a mate who can give and receive the highest level of love.

Everything in the world exists in pairs of subject and object.  In the plant world, the animal world and in the world of human beings, we see the relationship of masculine and feminine or plus and minus.

Why does God create pairs?

Because God's purpose of creation was to fulfill the expression of love which cannot be obtained alone.  Every person desires love through the relationship of the opposite sex.  Love is the one power that absolutely no one can possess on their own.

Therefore, no matter how much in love a couple is, they have a nagging desire to share their love.  The only way to experience a higher love, a husband and wife need children to experience the profound joy of parental love.  There is no higher relationship than that of parent and child.

This is because God created the universe in order to fulfill the expression of love. All beings desire the experience of true love through a reciprocal relationship. Love is the one power in the universe that absolutely no one can possess by themselves.

Once we have a partner, however, love gives us the power to share the entire universe. Likewise, a husband and wife need children in order to experience the profound joy of parental love.

Thus, we can say that God created human beings and the universe as His reciprocal partners in order to bring about true love.

"All types of love – including love of children, love of siblings, love of husband and wife, and love of parents – come about through the unity of subject and object partners. When two partners become one in true love, it is impossible to separate them. If for any reason, separation occurs, true love is destroyed. Therefore, in true love, there is no concept of divorce."

A man's love in his heart is awakened because of a particular woman.  This feeling in his heart cannot be created alone.  Likewise, the fire of love is kindled in the heart of a woman because of man who is her reciprocal partner.  She does not feel love alone.

This means without our partner, we cannot feel true love.  This means our partner has a great value and our love belongs to our partner.  Because we cannot feel true love without our spouse, we should honor our partners to have even greater value than our love.  We should be grateful for our spouse and live our life for their sake.

A couple who loves and live for one another can never be separated no matter what mountain comes before them.  This is the basic reasoning that makes couples blessed in marriage to live together eternally even after death.

"When husbands and wives live for each other, respect each other and become completely one through true love, it will be possible for the lineage of Satan to be rooted out completely."

True love comes through both horizontal and vertical relationships.

A horizontal relationship of true love is gradually elevated in a vertical direction until it eventually reaches the pinnacle. This point is the position of the "King and Queen of True Love."

Once this true position is reached, everything is balanced and embraced.  Everything is crystallized into love, and everything will bloom centered on this kind of love centered on God in the vertical position.

We are born for the sake of love, to live for the sake of love and finally die for the sake of love.  This is why every person on earth yearns to be transformed by love and live in the midst of love.

Did you know that not only humans desire love?  God created the whole creation for love.  As masterpieces of God's creation, we humans should teach the creation how to love.  The whole creation is groaning while it waits for a true man and true woman.

Creation longs to receive love and experience God's love through a true man and true woman who have become one with God at the pinnacle of true love.

This is the meaning of the third great blessing which is for man to have power over the creation through God.  Yet, we truly have not fulfilled this.  Instead, we see a world full of people misusing God's creation for temporary gain and destroying nature.  It is truly a shame that we have not realized this high degree of love we were to inherit directly from God.

"All beings want this so that they can participate in a higher level of love. Through this process, they ultimately reach the position where they can experience the love that is nearest to God, who is the origin of love. All beings have the essence of true love as their ultimate goal."

God created all beings on a certain level to have a relationship with a partner.  This relationship continues through being absorbed by a higher level of love.  For example, minerals want to be absorbed into plants, which are absorbed by animals and finally all of creation wants to be absorbed by human beings.



From God's point of view, a plant gladly lives for the sake of survival of a higher being the animal and the animal with love wants to be absorbed by a being that is united with God.

This way they, too become a higher being.  Communism wants the world to live for the government absolutely benefiting only itself.  In nature, an animal gives it life to a perfected person through love.


Even the government is supposed to be in a servant position to its people and govern through love not law.

In His wisdom, God created everything with a purpose.

For example, creatures with elongated shapes, such as eels and worms which fish like to eat, provide ingredients for natural medicine. Creatures on a higher level are meant to consume beings on a lower level. Without this process, the universe could not exist.

Darwin's theory regarding the survival of the fittest needs to be reexamined in the context of this logic of love. Even ants and microorganisms want true love so much that they will die to become part of an entity of greater love.

 Because of this principle, human beings, who are created as the highest partners of God's love, can consume all creatures. We can enjoy everything that we desire, but there is one condition: that we do so with a heart that represents the love of God, the Creator.

God's original plan was for the first humans endowed with his spirit to live centered on true love.  After their perfection, they were to become the seed for the world's family and become citizens of the Kingdom of Heaven.

This can only be achieved in accordance to God's tradition of true love.  The world today is in opposition to God's original plan.

"The words that I am sharing are in direct opposition to the theories of Charles Darwin. Yet it is through these words, not Darwin’s theories, that we will achieve a world of peace. This is because my words witness to the fundamental principles of creation."

Reverend Moon, the author of the Divine Principle, gives a good explanation why the Communist ideal that uses Darwin's Theory of Evolution, is not fully correct:

"Darwin proposed in his theory of evolution that species evolve through a process of natural selection based on random mutations. Such a theory implies that there is no fundamental meaning, order or goal in the development of the natural world.

Today, scientists and others are debating between the theory of evolution and the creation theory. The word "creation" acknowledges the existence of God, the Creator. There is a purpose embodied in God's act of creation. Subject and object partners unite to achieve a higher purpose.

Communist theory, based on materialism, also lacks the element of purpose. God's creation embodies the purpose of true love, whereas Communism only has struggle and destruction. Thus, it is destined eventually to disappear!"SMM

Farming the Ocean For Peace

We discussed in the previous post how we can find the solution to the world-hunger problem through finding food resources in the ocean.

The problem is, not many people keep this dream alive by sacrificing their lives to learn the difficult trials to become a fisherman like in the olden days.

 Everyday, the life on the ocean becomes a smaller community as this generation does not choose to have careers as fishermen. 

Those who can conquer the ocean will be the leader in the world.  Those who take advantage of the opportunities to learn about the ocean's resource and incorporate it into their livelihood and business will be the leader in the coming age.

Our Future Is In the Ocean

Americans consume meat every day, some eat meat at every meal.  Yet owning and raising cows and pigs is expensive compared to the price of catching one large tuna which can yield more than $4, 000.  Fishing this way is a more lucrative business than raising cattle.  Another problem other than Americans are less interested in becoming fisherman is that we do not eat a lot of fish as a whole. 

The Japanese, however, are extremely fond of tuna. Back in the 1990s the author of "As a Peace Loving Global Citizen" began to look at options to introduce American's appetite to a more Eastern cuisine and raise money and teach about the hidden treasure of the ocean which can solve many of the world's suffering.

Here is an excerpt from his book that explains how his company brought raw fish to America.

"There were many Japanese living in the United States then, and expensive restaurants operated by Japanese sold raw tuna at a high price. Also, some Americans who were learning to enjoy raw fish enjoyed eating tuna."

The business grew and continues to grow as restaurants high-quality fish and his company is at the top of the suppliers list.
 

"The earth where we live is covered by more ocean than land.  All we needed was one boat, and we could go as far as necessary in order to catch fish. The ocean is filled with things to eat. Also, on the ocean surface, there is an active shipping industry. Ships carry things made in countries all over the world to be sold elsewhere.   When we can love and inherit the oceans, we inherit the future.
 

"We purchased several boats in the United States. These were not he large ships that might be seen in a brochure but boats about thirty-four feet to thirty-eight feet in length. They could pursue tuna with their engines turned off. They were fishing boats about the size of a yacht that would not have major accidents.

"These boats were placed in Washington, San Francisco, Tampa, and Alaska. We also purchased a ship repair facility. We did a lot of our own research. We placed one boat in each region and measured the water temperature. We checked to see how many tuna were caught each day, and placed the data on a chart.

"We didn’t just take data that experts had created previously; our members went into the water themselves to gather the information. The results of studies done by university-based researchers in the area were used as reference."


True World Foods, Good Example
 

While his business continued to grow, he made his company an example of how large industries should work with the environment instead of depleting it.  It is crucial for large companies to soon play a major role in protecting the environment which yields the very product that they sell.
This is another wide-spread issue that has also increased the world's suffering, and not preparing the earth for tomorrow. Here the author explains how his company worked using ethics while serving the purpose of the whole.

"We also developed new fishing grounds. If too many fish are caught in one area, it depletes the fish population. It is important to go to new areas. Within a short time, we had made a major impact on the U.S. fishing industry. We entered the business of catching fish on the open sea.

"Our idea was that one ship would go out to sea and catch fish for at least six months without returning to port. When the ship had all the fish it could carry, a transport ship went out to it, took its fish, and resupplied it with food and fuel. The ship had refrigeration facilities where it could store fish for a long time.

"The name of our ship was New Hope, and it was well known for being able to catch many fish. I took that boat out myself and caught tuna. People were often afraid of getting on boats. When I suggested to young people that they get on a boat, their first reaction was often one of fear. “I get seasick,” I often heard them say. “All I have to do is get on a boat, and I start getting woozy and feel like I’m going to die.

The author continues to tell how he is able to influence others to learn more about fishing and how it is ultimately important for the world's economy and future.

"So I got on the boat myself first. From that day, I went out on the boat almost every day for seven years. Even now, when I am ninety years old, I like to go out on the ocean whenever I have the time. Now, there are more and more young people who say they want to go out on the boats. More women say they want to do this. With any task, if the leader does it first, the people follow. As a result, I have become well known as a tuna fisherman.
 

"It would have been of little use, however, if we had only caught the tuna. We also needed to be able to sell it at the right price. We created a tuna-processing facility, and I even sold the tuna myself. We put the tuna in refrigerated trucks and went out and sold them.

"If selling was difficult, we started our own seafood restaurants and sold the tuna directly to consumers. Once we had our own restaurants, people could not ignore us. The United States has three of the world’s four largest fishing grounds.
"The longer a person spends on the ocean, the greater the spiritual aspect of his life will become.  The ocean, can be calm and serene one minute and the next moment change its face and send strong waves."
 
The reality is, the fishing industry is an extremely dangerous occupation.  Deep sea fisherman such as Rev. Moon have been featured on many reality shows and documentaries about the dangers and the excitement enticed through fishing in the depths of the oceans.

Here is one last excerpt to how Rev. Moon overcame this fear and how others can overcome their fear of the ocean and bring about a new age centered on the ocean's resources.


"Waves several times the height of a person will rise up above the boat, as if to devour it. A strong wind will tear at the sail and make a fearful sound. Think of this, though. Even when the waves have risen and a fearful wind is blowing, the fish in the water have no trouble sleeping. They give themselves over to the waves and don’t resist them.

"This is what I learned from the fish. I decided not to be afraid, no matter how strong the waves were. I let the waves carry me. I made myself one with the boat, and we rose with the waves.

"Once I started doing that, my heart was never shaken, no matter what kind of waves I came up against. The ocean has been such a wonderful teacher for me in my life that I created the Ocean Challenge program to give young people the leadership training the ocean provides.training the ocean provides."

Not only does the ocean solve the world food crisis, it can also solve the world's rising economic problem that makes people dependant on the government for their livelihood.
