Death Brings Value to Life

The word ‘death’ brings an understanding of the meaning of life.

Do we truly know the value of life?

Those who seek life do not live and those who live trying to fathom the value of life while they cling to God while the crossroads of life and death are in view truly know the value.

Many people commit suicide in this fallen world through sleeping pills and other methods.

Who do you think commits suicide more, men or women?

Men are able to approach a problem from different perspectives while women think there is only one way out of a situation.

Men are able to avoid death through looking at viable alternative. Therefore the suicide rate is lower.

Death is a process to link three worlds

It is natural that we want to resemble God. Also God wants us as His sons and daughters to resemble Him.

As people of faith, we work everyday to make this possible through the process of restoring ourselves to our original unfallen selves.

We must be reborn into a body that resembles God.

God and humankind past and present both are eagerly waiting the day where humanity can be reborn.

That day is the day of our death.

Since this is the case, people should welcome or fear the day of death.

They should welcome.

In the original world, God intended the day of death to be the day that we return to the world of God’s true love.

It is the day that we discard the physical world and leave the realm of limited love to the world of God’s infinite love.

Death leads to birth in God's love, but in this world.

Instead, people have come to fear this day.

Our death was to be the moment we welcome the joy of leaving the limited love in a limited body and enter the world of God.

Therefore, the moment of death is the moment of your second birth.

Knowing this fact about the purpose of death, would God be joyful or tearful of the birth of your death?

“You might wonder why I talk about such things. You cannot establish a relationship with God without liberating yourself from the fear of death.”

We go through three stages: formation, growth and completion stage.
We go from the realm of water in our mother’s womb, then to the realm of planet earth and finally, the aerial realm of earth.

In other words, people go through three periods: the period of water in the womb, the period of being born and living a hundred years on this earth, and then the period of flying in the aerial world.

We are born from the depths of water, grow in the womb where we need to draw in and expel water and live through a cord that is connected to its stomach that nourishes us.

The navel is a second mouth when we are in the womb, so we should not be disdainful of our navel.

If you pat your navel and say, "Belly button, you took pains for me in the past." If you pat your navel many times, you'll improve your health if you do that a lot.

Even when you sleep in a cold room, if you cover your navel, you won't get diarrhea.

The breathing organ then moves up from the navel. It continues to go up.

We must cut off the umbilical cord that is attached to the navel and enter the world of air.

Our spirit self is attached to our physical self or body just like the embryo is in the womb and feeds off our mother’s physical body.

When our body gets older, our spirit self discards the physical body and enters the spirit world.

The embryo is born on earth and becomes the object of love of its mother and father, likewise, our spirit self must be reborn as a person who can relate to the eternal God our spiritual Father.

This is in accordance with fundamental principles and laws.

People are born on earth where they share love with their physical mother and father.

Likewise, we enter spirit world to share love with God, our Parent, whom we connect to with the spirit world, the world of flying.

Those who breathe in love on the earth are not dead but alive.

We breathe in our mother’s womb through a pipe-like device.

We rise to a higher dimension of air after we are born.

We develop love; we receive elements of love.

We should not live just to eat, drink, work and sleep for this is a life of dying.

It would be living to just fill a water bag. This is the path of death. All of that is a secondary existence.

Therefore, we must form a new character of love during this period.

The Kind of Hope, Goes Beyond Death

The meaning of the Korean word toraganda

We know that the spirit world exists.

Since we were born from the spirit world, then we must return there.

The word toraganda, which means to die, is interesting.

We do not return to a cemetery, but to the place of our origin.  We do not depart from the cemetery

We return across the vast expanses of history and beyond its origin.

When we return as a human being does not mean we are born and return as a Korean or an American.

If one dies as a Korean, they do not return on that path as one.  We return to the original world that brought our ancestors forth.

What does that mean?

We all return to the place of our Creator.

We originate from the Creator, that is where we return.

The universe works in a circular motion: the snow that covers the mountain melts and flows down  into the valley and into the oceans and rivers.  Then it evaporates and returns to the mountains as rain to complete the cycle.

Everything circulates.

Where do we return?

We all have a desire to return to a higher and better place.  No one wants to get smaller.

The laws of nature dictate that the everything diminishes through action.

If something rolls, it does not roll for eternity.  It begins to roll rapidly and then it decelerates and finally stops.

The place to which we must go

Even though we live in this world, it is not the only world that exists.

The spirit world indeed exists.

God did not intend for this world and the spirit world be separate but to be integrated.
Where do we are we to go and live?

Of course, while we live physically on the earth we are all destined to go to the eternal world.

Ordinarily, people are born, pass their youth, reach their prime, enter old age and enter their second life like the setting sun.

Those you know about the eternity of spirit world, know that this lifetime is just a fleeting moment compared to where we go after we pass.

Our life here is only meant to prepare us to welcome the world of eternity.

The day we pass on is a precious day

If the world Adam and Eve had followed God’s direction, a unified world would have been formed.

Adam’s birth, his wedding day and the day he returned to the earth would have been commemorated dates where the world would celebrate.

The world would have been a unified brotherhood of one people if man followed God.

We would now be a people that lived in one world.

All of the customs throughout the history of humankind and  the cultures would have been inherited eternally from the Garden of Eden.

On the other hand, we inherited the wrongful seed the first man and womn planted.

The spiritual connection of life and death

No matter how much we try to avoid it, we will all enter death when our time comes.

Everyone enters spirit world in different states.  Some die at a ripe old age while others die at a young age.

Those who die untimely deaths, may die due to punishments to indemnify their ancestors, their own sins or the sins of their society, people and the world.

“If three prominent young people in a village die, good fortune will come to that village. If three promising youths of a clan die, good fortune will come to that clan. In other words, indemnity must be paid. It applies everywhere. The principle or causality operates everywhere.”

If God placed a person in a central position that had the same value of that of a total of a thousand people, if those thousand people followed him as he walked the path of death, they, too will enter the same blessed realm as he.

The reason people try to discover the thoughts of patriots and sages and follow them is to enter the same realm of their blessing.

Last year several members went to spirit world.

This year, several more will go there. Why do we speak about this?

Once we reach a certain stage and go up toward other stages, we cannot avoid to pay indemnity along this path of restoration.

There are people on earth that live with hope and some who live without hope.

There are two kinds of hope: humanistic and God-centered hope.

From the day we are born, we grow up thinking that our mother’s bosom is the best thing there is.  Once we leave our mother’s bosom, we come to have friends and believe they are the best thing around.

No matter how much we come to love our friends, we depart from them.

As we grow older, we find that neither our loving parents, spouse, or children can completely satisfy our hopes.

People have hope, but eventually when they are unfulfilled those hopes vanish.  We have hope four our family, country or even for our world.

But these hopes may fade as we age.

There are not many who live on earth that have a firm conviction that have hope to be proud of.  The hope that they were unable to live apart from at one time, they now do not believe that it is worth losing their lives over.

After living here on earth, we are all destined to fight and go beyond death like Jesus did.

People may have certain types of hope, but in the end, when they pass away, they will abandon these hopes.

They will wander about to seek a new hope

When people look from their own situation, they think they are hopeful, but they are unable to have hope that goes beyond death.

If people do not have such hope, they cannot pass the summit of death.

They disappear from earth without having hope.

Are we going to be people who understand this pattern of life, or will we seek hope that can last and laugh at the face of death?

All things of this world will pass away.

Our nation, world, families will pass away.

Ideologies and philosophies will pass away as well.  What will then remain.

It is the hope where we can fight and win over death.  If we do not have such a determination, then we are failures in our life.

On the other hand, there is a group that from birth knew to reject the secular world’s desires and their humanistic thinking.  They live embracing a heavenly hope, an eternal hope.

Heaven has made limitless efforts in order for the fallen humanity on earth to live with a kind of hope that goes over the peak of death with a new hope and live regarding the eternal world.

People who live a life of faith should not embrace fallen, humanistic hope.  They should live dreaming of the eternal world of hope that conquers death.

The Path We All Must Take

The body is far from eternal life

The earth breathes and moves just as our bodies do.

Your cells breathe as well.

Would you rather live eternally on earth, or would you rather live eternally in a place where you are a full entity of love?

In our physical body, we cannot see God when He wants to reveal Himself.  This is why our spirit self is needed.

God is in the center of the spirit.

As God's counterparts, He wants to bequeath to us everything from the eternal realm.

How the majority of people live

We are all headed toward a destination whether we know it or not.

The nation, the world and even heaven and earth are headed there as well.  This is an undeniable fact.  You are driven by this destiny.

Where are you headed after this life ends?

Religions arose to deal with this issue.

Where are our minds and hearts trying to go?  Also, our wishes and hopes.  Where are they trying to go?

Even though humanity has not truly resolved these issues, we are still destined to go in any case.

On the day that this body is buried in the ground, will our mind, our heart and hopes be buried together along with the body?

We should look at this with solutions and a purposeful perspective.

Every saint and sage and founders of religions stopped on their normal paths of life to ask the questions of their minds and their hearts.

They wondered where they were headed and they struggled to resolve these issues.

Even though numerous saints gave their life to answer these questions, there still has not been anybody who could confidently claim that their body, their heart and mind went to such an ideal place.

Religious and conscientious people all desire for the end of this fallen world which originated from private desires.

Over a millennia, religions have awaited a public world -  a single, unified world of peace without borders or conflicts.

How should religious people live?

They should shorten the path to restore historical mistakes and link this path to the world and cosmos.

A family that lives walking this path is far more interesting.  This is a liberated family that becomes a true family.

“Walking the streets of Myungdong in Seoul, one sees young couples being affectionate. For whom are they doing that? They say they do that to enjoy their youth, which they have but once.

“That's fine, but who is the owner of enjoyment? This is a serious question. How long can you enjoy life? You do so from your twenties, but it will not last after you pass your sixties, seventies, and eighties.

“Yet the way of the Unification Church is different. For what purpose do we eat? For the sake of the world and to abolish this evil world. We see in order to clean up this evil world -- not to become a part of the evil side but to defeat it. How we hear, think, walk and act is different from the secular world.”

God created us as precious beings whom He cherishes eternally.

God derives joy from us as His object partners.  Since God is eternal, we must also be eternal beings.

Many people live centered on such thinking that they will live until they are eighty and think that when they die that is it.  Throughout history, the question of immortality has been pondered and people wonder if they can live for eternity on earth and never die.

Then they ask, what is the meaning of life?

They wonder what is the point in just being born and pass away.  They just conclude that life is just suffering and that we just come and go like the grass of the fields.

The more people held on to this ideal, the more they thought and asked themselves, "What's the meaning of life? Why are people born and then go away like travelers?" and

Death is inevitable

One day we will go to the spirit world.

Even if people visit Korea at Gimpo Airport, it does not mean they traveled in Korea.  Where do we go afterward?

We go to a county.  From there a township, then a village.  From there we must go to a neighborhood.  This is not an easy task.

If we cannot determine a dwelling place, then there is no value in having a successful social life.

“If God orders me to come, even tomorrow night, no matter how great I may be today, I have no choice but to go.

“However loudly I might protest, I would have to go. I will go while protesting loudly, but only after speaking the right words. I must present the way that the nation and the world must go. It will be my death if I fail to do so.”

God is the owner of life

“Who is the origin of life? Not I.”

The origin and purpose of life must transcend me.  Actually, our life did not originate from our parents, society or a nation, but from God.

Only when you link your origin to the cause, the purpose of life, and deny your fallen self, then you make a leap and transcend.

You must link your life to the transcendent motive; it does not begin with yourself.

It began with the absolute God.

If you link yourself in this way, then when you die, you will be within the transcendent process because of God's Will.

People do not live for a millennia or for centuries.  They die within a century or so.

Among the numerous ancestors who have died throughout history, if any of them live with a public mindedness that met the standards of the universe, they would have left a legacy that lasted a millennum.

Instead, our ancestors lived selfishly and perished.  They brought everything to ruin.

This kind of selfish lifestyle causes problems.

The bigger problem is how can we replace the way of looking at everything from an ego system with one that serves a higher purpose.

The question is how do we shift from emphasizing self-centeredness to benefiting the greater good.

We must reverse the way of living individualistic lives.

This requires action.

If you only had one pair of clothing, you would fight for your life to keep others from taking it off of your body.

If you had a change of clothing for every season, when it is spring and you see people dressed in winter clothes, you show them your spring clothing and tell them they wear winter clothes and take them off.  If it is summer and people wear spring clothing tell them to change according to the weather.

But those people do not see the need to change.  They were unaware that something of greater value existed.

The same goes for those who are living in a lifestyle centered only on their own self-interest.  Until someone shows them the truth, they may not see the value of living a life for others.

On the earth we have parents, teachers and relatives. We have ways to establish such relationships on the earth, but not in the spirit world.

Everyone practices God-centered public-spiritedness.

The position one holds is differentiated.  Those above cannot descend below, and those below do not easily ascend.

It was God's original idea that we would not pass on to the spirit world until we achieved perfection on earth.

Adam and Eve to were to perfect their love to God before the blessing of marriage, live, and die in perfect oneness with Him therefore, naturally going to Heaven after living on Heaven on Earth.

It is an absolute that we will each die.

This life course is short compared to eternity.

Even if a person lived a life span of eighty years, it is equivalent to less than eight hours in spirit world time.

When we look at our time here on earth, it is even less than that amount of time in eternity.

This means the power of true love is great.  The speed of true love is so great that is beyond our understanding.
