Our Original, Godly Mind

The teacher closest to you is none other than your own original mind. More precious than even the closest of friends is your original mind, even more precious than your own mother or father. You need to consult your original mind.

Rev. Sun Myung Moon

God dwells in your mind. You should train yourself to listen to what your godly, original mind tells you.

In Buddhist terms, to enter such a state, you need to purify your inner nature first.

When Buddha stated, “I am my own Lord throughout heaven and earth,” he means that once you look within your own heart, you will find that the Lord God who rules and created heaven and earth is inside of you. With this actualized, nothing is impossible.

Loving minds always try to sacrifice, to concede, and to give, and give again.

For instance, even though you had a billion dollars worth of possessions and you gave it out to everyone you saw, you still would not have given to everyone in the world. With this unsettled, your mind still has the desire to give out more. That is the power of the original mind.
There is no ending to giving in that.

God's heart is too great to fathom, to place on any scale. Therefore, you cannot boast of your own works. Even if you did the most glorious act of all, then you checked with your loving mind, it would shout back, “You need to do more!”

You need to purify your mind. You need to cleanse it.

Your original mind is better than any teacher. It is your eternal master.

Therefore, take care not to harbor any evil thoughts in it. Instead, have the mindset to contribute to the common good standing in a public position.

With that mindset, you can look at someone for the first time and know what kind of person he or she is at just a glance.

You would have already formed an opinion. Therefore, the closest teacher is your own mind. Do not make your mind unhappy. If you do so, you make the Owner of the universe and the Messiah unhappy.

Your mind is the master of your life.

Consequently, when you make your mind sad, then you make the master of your life sad as well.

Therefore, follow the path which brings you joy. Throughout the week, set aside some time to experience joy with your mind. It may seem like you are alone to other, but during that time, you become friends and get to know your mind.

Go to a tranquil place and just sit with your mind and meditate. Then you will enter a state of deep prayer. This world will be unknown to everyone but you. You need to have such experiences in y our walk of faith.

Human perfection means mind-body unity

We emphasize the importance of having unity with your mind and your body or fallen flesh. This can only be achieved through true love. You will see that the path toward unity is the correct one. It is borne out of experience.

What are righteous conscience, actions and the mind-body unity based upon?

Words and action alone will not be enough. The place where you will have unity with your thoughts and your body's action, is to become exemplary ppeople who are connected to the world whether East or West.

You should set a standard that will be correct in any time in history, whether, past, present or future.

A perfect score can only be obtained when people attain oneness with true love.

When we speak about mind-body unity, we refer to how the body resonates in harmony with the conscience. It is the same as when you hit a tuning fork. The other prongs will vibrate at the same frequency.

Also, if you strike the conscience with true love, then your body will resonate that love. On the same token, when you strike your body with true love, then the conscience will resonate love.

Actually, there is no need for you to be taught this, because you will find out for yourselves in the center of all of this.

As brave soldiers of the Church, we should achieve unity of our mind and body. How will you be able to achieve this in your lifetime? Those who are unable to achieve it and still think about love, should feel ashamed of themselves because this is contrary to God's will.

A new path opens only to those who wish for it once they achieve mind and body unity. If you get stuck in the current position you are in, then the path that leads to God's kingdom of hope will not be open before you.

The question is how do you achieve mind-body unity?

Only the Messiah was able to achieve such a feat and attain oneness with God. Throughout history, we can see that the mind and body is in constant conflict. If there is a God who would create such dissonance in his creation, he would be the enemy of humankind.

If you were to ask God if His own mind and body were in conflict like your own fallen one, He would certainly answer that it is not. The creator of such conflict is Satan himself.

The founder of the Unification Church has reached such a state and can connect to God's mind whenever he desires. Therefore, he can answer on His behalf that God's mind and body are completely united.

Religious life focuses on controlling our sinful body's desires. If one is not able to master this control after such discipline, then you will be uncomfortable and will not be able to achieve mind-body unity.

My number one goal is, 'Before desiring to dominate the universe, first achieve dominion over the self!' If people cannot achieve total oneness within themselves, there is no way that they can relate to the universe, however much they may have gone around the world in their endeavors.

The human body inherited Satan's lineage.

Your conscience must attain the standard of God's conscience and mature to the growth stage which Adam and Eve reached before they fell.

In order to do this, it require having faith. Our first ancestors were derailed from this faithful path when they were deceived by Satan. Eve strayed in a different direct due to a force stronger than the conscience. This force is the power of love.

At that moment, the conscience has no choice but to follow where the body leads even if it is in the wrong direction. This is why we must make our conscience stronger.

Once you give your conscience more power than the body, then the latter, however strong will have to obey the former.

If you are unable to do so and your fallen flesh remains stronger than your conscience leading it around, you will fall lower than your current situation.

Two paths lay before you. To reach such a standard, people of faith make conditions such as fasting, cold showers, sacrifice and volunteering.

There is no other way. Are you following this way of life? Do you serve others even at the cost of your own life?

Follow the path of subjugating the fallen body at the risk of your lives.

The path of religion is that of submission.

This path transcends the mind-body conflict.

Once you tread the sacrificial path, you will be able to achieve mind-body unity.

No matter how long you have been a member, you shouldn't just let your sins stay buried you should cleanse them.

Start with a clean slate. Be resurrected anew. Become men and women who can live in the Garden of Eden, Heaven on Earth, without sinning.

Find the way back to your house in the original homeland where God dwells. You need to know what God intended for the body. He intended it to have complete unity in love of your mind and body.

How do you find your way back? First, you need to get the qualification to even enter the homeland. To do so, you need to have total mind-body unity.

No matter how great your sin is, admit it frankly to God.

In confessing your sin in prayer, you can declare to Him,
"Shouldn't the original mind, the heart of a father, the heart of a teacher, and the heart of the citizens of a nation be like this? With such a heart, I will be filial and loyal and be connected to Your love. My heart will never waver. Please take into consideration this resolution, and forgive me for all the wrongs that I have done as I have now made this resolution. Won't you forgive me?" Then God would reply, "Hmm.…" You need to know how to pray. Do you understand?

Where on earth is God;where would He dwell?

God settles in the most precious thing of all, namely love.

If this love was between a man and a woman, where would He reside there? He would live in the deepest part of love that is completely united and unchanging.

To reach this mystical state when you pray, when you call out God, “Heavenly Father,” you will hear Him answer from inside you, “Why are you calling me here?” The 'here' He refers is to the center of your heart.

He would be at the central point of love inside a person whose mind and body are completely united. This is the point of self-denial.

When your mind and body have attained oneness, the force of the universe will protect you.

Your parents and your siblings will be protected when you enter such a state. Everyone is connected to each other in such a state. The excellent conclusion is that the race and the nation must also form a relationship.

Once you achieve mind-body unity, when you go to another nation, then you will also be connected to that nation. This principle works wherever you go.

What if a ball in the course of playing soccer just stopped rolling? At this point where the two surfaces meet, a perpendicular axis is necessary.

This is why a sphere is considered the most ideal existence.

Therefore, when your mind and body are united on a perpendicular axis, you will fit in anywhere.

Whether you are a Westerner, an Oriental, a person who is from the past, present, or future, when you harmonize your own body and mind, you can harmonize anywhere.
