A World of Peace

The god of this age has blinded the minds of unbelievers so much that they do not see the light of the gospel that displays the glory of Christ, who is the image of God.  We do not preach that of ourselves, but Jesus Christ as Lord, and ourselves as your servants for Jesus' sake.  God said, "Let light shine out of darkness." He made His light shine in our hearts to give us the light of knowledge of God's glory displayed in the face of Christ.

2 Corinthians 4:4-6


We have heard Jesus tell the disciples "you are of your father the devil".  They had no understanding of these words.  This means that Jesus had an understanding that we were to inherit God's direct blood lineage, but instead we inherited Satan's fallen blood lineage by following his words instead.

His words reveal the deep pain of the tragic consequence of the Jewish people not following the right path of God which was to absolutely believe in his words as the Messiah.  He would have led us toward the Completed Testament in his day and perform Holy Blessing Marriages based on the victory of his own Blessing to return the blood lineage to God.

How could an archangel become ruler of this world?

It began in the Garden when God gave the commandment to wait unto maturity to partake in the fruit which was the sexual organ.  Satan gave his word that it was okay to give in.  Since Adam and Eve followed Satan's direction, even though they were children of God, God could not intervene since He had endowed us with free will to do his will or not.

If that evil god had existed from the very beginning, we would have a world based on dualism. If the root had had two separate origins in history, there could not be a world of oneness, an ideal world or a world of unity - ever. The world would have no choice but to develop through conflict. God would have been unable to design the ideal model of a world of oneness, peace and the ideal.

The absolute God has to subjugate Satan, but not with the weapons of the world. He has to reveal the origins of goodness and evil, centering on the Great Principle of heaven and earth. There was only one absolute God in the beginning, but subsequently an evil god appeared.

The communist world views God as something that man made up.  It developed its society centering on materialism - those that can only be seen.  If Satan is a reality, then surely the communist world is his final attempt at the end of the world to deny God's existence.

If mankind continues to follow Satan's claims or commandments and follow his selfish ways, the world of peace designed by God can never be realized.

To those who say that God does not exist: if there were no God, you would still have to set up a false god to manage this world.

How can humanity alone rule the democratic world or the decadent world without having even a fake god larger than themselves?  Man cannot be extended.

If the world denies God, they will be brought to ruin like Sodom and Gomorrah.  The world will survive if they even have a concept of a hypothetical god in which to follow.  But this imaginary god is imaginary and will never be absolute.

He has to be in the center of everyone's mind.  The way to do this is through religion which persist in absolute love, absolute ethics and absolute morality.  Even if humanity followed an imaginary God, they would have to discover the real God.

When God begins to teach man about peace, His teaching material would be love.  He would look for a man and woman who have love because love is invisible.

How does God dig up the notion that a woman can love a man more than herself? That is an important issue. Man has to elevate his object partner? Position through love by denying himself. What does God have to seek and put forth theoretically?

If we do not establish the logic that God created all things out of love at the time of creation, we cannot discover the origin of a unified peace. 

How does He search for the beginning of unity and peace?

Only through the force of love can that happen.

Even God has to be obedient before the face of love.  Even though He is the subject partner of absolute love, He needs an object partner to give and take with this love and He must be obedient to this.


No More Barriers

How will humanity demolish the wall between races and realize the ideal world?  Is it even possible to erase all of the obstacles that have confounded the path toward peace in history?  Peace begins in the family. If you have seen meetings of the different individual minds and opens converse, how much difficult it must be to harmonize even within a family.

Mankind must finally find a solution.  How will we resolve the conflicts in order to live as one great family that is overflowing with happiness without the need for war?  We need a starting off point in order to harmonize the world with its diversified cultures and traditions.

Man needs to remember that his source and root is in God and not within himself.  He is the foundation of the universe.  Man must seek the basic answer as they follow the heavenly principles.  We all want to live the best life in the best world.  This desire cannot be satisfied in the human world.

A world of peace cannot exist as long as that unfulfilled desire is there.

As we climb higher, our competitive mind emerges.  How do we remove this when we do not know why it is there.  Since we cannot solve the problem, many just deny that God exist in this fallen reality.  We will realize a peaceful world where freedom and equality is overflowing once we seek God as the source of true love, and unite with Him.

When every person on earth begins to live in attendance of God and establish a true family based on his ideals, then a free, peaceful, eternal world will be built for the first time.  We call this Heaven on Earth.


Peace Only With Love As the Link

"Who are the three great subject partners?

God is the owner of owners, parent of parents, and teacher of teachers.

This is different from the Juche Sasang (Subjectivity Thought) of North Korea's late premier, Kim Il Sung.

Centered on the ideal of creation and love, the Three-Great-Subjects Thought encompasses the concepts of owner, parent and teacher.

From the perspective of the nation, the parent is in the family, the teacher is at school and the master-owner is in society. How can they be linked? There doesn't seem to be anything that harmonizes them with love, but the Unification Church (Family Federation) has the logical answer.

Applying them to the nation, a world of peace in the nation will come.  Applying this to the world, a world of peace in the world will come. Applying this to heaven and earth, a world of peace in heaven and on earth will come, centering on true love.

God, our Creator, has a Will. That Will is to restore this world into the world of true peace. In other words, He will restore the world of His original nature and the ideal by re-creating the present world. For this reason, there is hope for true peace in the future. God's Will is to eradicate selfishness from each individual, then transform or re-create that person into His own temple, and make all men holy." SMM

Then this means that to begin true world between nations does not begin on the national level, but with the perfection of the individual.  Each person becomes a true temple of God.  This is where world peace germinates.  Each of us is the true beginning point of world peace.  Just as the Michael Jackson song states about the Man in the Mirror.

God brought about religion for the perfection of man and we should repent that religion, representing the realm of the spirit, have not fulfilled their responsibility of bringing about a peaceful world.  Who can deny that religions in these day lacks the energy to help lead toward a purified world?  Sometimes religions are going against their original mission and have become about following leaders and rituals leaving behind the culture of heart.

Human logic placed the content together, but God is not attached to these doctrines.  God as the Original Parent does not discriminate between races or between religions such as humans who run religions.

Therefore, in order to go the way of the Parent, religious leaders should completely follow God's will of true love to realize the ideal world of peace and the salvation of all people.  Given the current situation of the fallen world, religious people should not lead comfortable lives, but must go the way of living a life of faith.

They should center their activities on giving true love unceasingly and true-life energy while conversing with God constantly.

What is the origin of the existence of the universe?

It is not an absolute existence, but an absolute love that can bind the absolute existence.  This being the case, heaven and earth can create a world of peace. 

If it is correct that everything in creation moves based on that love, then the next logical step is that peace and the ideal we have longed for are also derived from love.

In the history of religion, has there been any saint or leader that asserted that the ideal of unity of mind and body is the basis of the unity of all things?

Harmony in the family is the accomplishment of all things.

If there are ten members of the family, all of them should have harmony with their own mind and body and then become one as a whole.  But in the fallen world in which we live, these ten people live in mind-body conflict forming 20 different entities.  Peace can not be created in such an environment.

Why do we suffer such separation?  Because the body goes and does what it wants and the mind does what it wills going in different directions.

People all have a separation between their mind and body.  Within a people, there will be some who are centered on materialistic things, others on honor, and others on their own power and authority.  There is no way to find peace among a people whose body and mind move in opposite directions based solely on their own self-interest.

Peace dwells within oneness and this one source is the unique God.  A family or individual who centers on God's ideal is on His side and their mind and bodies are united.

Korea as a unified country has to be a part of the realm of world peace.

Peace is not going to be just enjoyed by a religious group.  By connecting to the God-centered heavenly tradition set forth, peace must settle finally upon the earth because God exists.

The True Meaning of Peace

What is the origin of the universe?  I suppose it depends to whom you pose this question.  To atheist it would be just chance and to the religious, God with several different names or looks.

If God is a God of love and it is said that He created the world for love, why do humans who are the highest entity still look for, search and hope for love and peace?  We have said that there was an origin to this disconnection, where must we begin if we are to finally settle this road of the fall and return it to the time of peace once enjoyed in the Garden of Eden?


God, the origin of peace

Humanity since the beginning has never ceased in its quest for true love, true peace, true happiness and the true ideal that is everlasting and unchanging to this day.  The reality is finding the ideal love, happiness and peace in which we reach in this hostile world that has been lost.   In this search, we have walked blindly through an alley and have been smashing our heads against the wall looking for what was meant to be from the beginning.

We have fallen into a miserable, suffering condition in which the hope of fulfilling these ideals is lost.  If God is living, then being an eternal, unchanging and absolute being, he must be at the center of all of these ideals.  He transcends the constant varying ideals in which we center on ourselves.  He is the King and source of love, peace, happiness and the ideal.

Man has been trying all through history to create the ideal conditions we are looking for.  To this day true love, happiness and peace must be found at its source.  Man must come to a position where they reach the same standard as God with the same place of hope, sharing life's sweetness and bitterness.  Without God, man cannot ever have hope to bring about a world of peace

Man is the object partner of God's love, ideal, peace and happiness.  He then gains eternal life when he learns that by standing where he can serve God as his subject partner, as his Father in Heaven.  This is the most logical conclusion to begin speaking about bringing about an ideal world.

Man who thinks that there is no afterlife, just learn that if he is an eternal partner of God and His child who will live eternally.

We all understand that God is the subject partner and we are the object partner.  We can take it a step further and will see a problem.  We need to know exactly where the source of true love is.  Without knowing the source we cannot realize God's love, ideal, peace and happiness.  Where would God place the source of true love, peace, happiness and ideal centering on Himself?

When we truly think about the fact that God does not stand alone as an subject partner, but needs man in order to love as an object, then he must place the source of happiness, love and peace in Himself as the subject partner where He exist for His object partner man.

Adam and Eve are the incarnation of God.  God dwells directly in their hearts.

Thus, the internal and external masters meet and generate all the world's happiness, becoming the standard of universal peace and the absolute standard of happiness in complete union.

Is there a way to untangle this great chaos that was started in the earthly world or must we as humans abandon hope and just wait every day to be a day of despair?  Definitely not.  There is one basic solution to this problem based on the premise - absolute God exists.

The current world we are living is not the world that God planned to substantiate on earth.  He intended a world of peace without disorder.

If you remember the 1999 movie "The Matrix" when one of the Agents was explaining after they had captured Morpheus in the office building deprogramming his mind, the Agent told him about the first Matrix.

He said that they had developed the Matrix to be a world of peace, but none of the crops accepted this world and they lost mostly all of them.  In other words, he said thereafter that we humans could not have peace and we like filth and chaos.  Absolutely profound revelation when we compare this scene to what happened in the Garden of Eden. The Garden of Eden was full of peace and God's direct love was bestowed upon Adam and Eve everyday, yet they still went toward the archangel who told them untruths and to do opposite of God.

The world that God had intended to substantiate on earth was a true Utopia abounding in freedom, peace and happiness. Cherishing the ideal of Utopia in His heart, God searched for earthly man with frustration.

The way that man comes up with solutions for the current world problems are not viable or everlasting.  Because man was not fully aware of God's purpose of creation or even His existence, the world was thrown into utter confusion.  Throughout the thousands of years of history, religion has had its major problems and corruption, but without it man would not have a way to learn about God's existence.  God gave religion to man as a way to teach of Him and to return His children to His bosom.

Man searched for this Utopia they had once enjoyed freely in the Garden of Eden.  Instead, they roamed through darkness racked in agony amid great chaos.  God's ideal, which He sought with much frustration to achieve, and man's longing search for the Utopia are the same.  This Heaven on Earth will be realized once man and God's ideal meet.  This meeting has not taken place in any form and leaves man groaning in anguish ever since. What kind of a being is God's He is a God of Love.

Saint Paul asked, "Who shall separate us from the love of Christ?" Even Christ is nobody without God's love, so we cherish God's love more than anything.

God's love is the source of life, happiness and peace. You will know this if you have some spiritual experiences.

When man dreams of peace based solely on his own ideas, no matter what solution they come up with creatively it will not offer any hope.  The dream of a future full of peace, unity or oneness that goes beyond the present day of utter confusion is only an illusion unless there is a stronger power.  Without God, peace is impossible.

If the omniscient and omnipresent God has been laboring for thousands of years to guide us, why can't He lead us toward a world where His purpose of goodness can be fulfilled.  Are we moving away from the ideal toward destruction and despair?

This is a serious problem.  If we were to analyze the world's situation, we may surmise that there is no God.  Is it possible for a world of peace or some utopia in the future if we conclude that God does not exist?  Philosophers and thinkers have sought this perfect world throughout the course of history.

Since these types of people have not been able to bring about a solution, we cannot think that manpower alone will solve humanity's problems in the future.

Through historical experience, man concludes that it is impossible to attain this end, yet his original nature does not yield easily.

Regardless of race and tradition, we can see that the ultimate goal in life is but one way.

Whether Eastern or Western, people have sought after the eternal true love, peace, happiness and the ideal even in the midst of the state of sin, mistrust and confusion.  Humankind has pursued all different ways to achieve happiness which the original mind desires by following the desire to pursue goodness.

If man alone has not been able to relinquishment the fallen history, then they must be able to rely on an even stronger power that is higher than man.  Man is a unique being which knows its own limitations. Man is incapable of determining his own destiny, going beyond himself so he naturally must look for a greater subject partner, God who knows how to make this path feasible.

If God still yearns for true love, peace, happiness and his true ideal, then that goal is possible through Him alone.  Man must fully bring to reality what God has shown him in order to fulfill the ideal requisites man has sought throughout history by calling on God.

"If it is something people just desire, the transcendental force and the propensity for relationship with which God has operated from behind our lives, can pervade everything."SMM

Without realizing it himself, man today is looking for a world of peace and happiness while pursuing freedom. This is the evidence that he is still not standing on the fundamental foundation of freedom, peace and happiness.

There is only one path in life for an individual, family, society, nation and world.  Every road we all must follow points toward a world of peace full of love and happiness.  This ideal must be established through mutual relationships.

Even the almighty God can not accomplish this by Himself.  This is not blasphemous to say.  Do you realize that if God had the ability to get rid of sin and usher in heaven on Earth, He would have done that back in the Garden of Eden the moment after the fall occurred?

If God lives as the absolute and almighty being, then all things which He created including man must be free if God is free.  If God is in a peaceful place, then man must be in the same place He is.

We can deduce the fact that if there is no freedom, happiness and peace in the human world, God, its Creator, can neither be free nor happy, but must be in a miserable position. 

This is known as the fall of man in today's religious world. The fall is comparable to falling off the original foundation, from a position where perfection can be reached to an imperfect position.

Once humans grow and mature through the foundation of their parents' love and give birth to children through conjugal spousal love, the family was to establish a foundation for perfect happiness.  Yet, we know our lives have not resulted in such a life full of perfect peace and freedom.  This is completed by the Second Advent who brings the Completed Testament and as humanity follows these words of God to bring about the world of peace longed throughout history.

Conscience Part II

The previous post spoke about how when we follow the original mind or the conscience, it will open up our spiritual awareness and give more infinite power and protection.  First we must decide, preferably at a young age, in which direction we are headed and where we would like to go.  This continues the list to help us awaken our mind and follow the way.


4) You Must Move Centering on the World of Heart


Your mind can settle in the deepest part of self when you are in the state of calmness or meditation.    You should be able to release and let your mind go into that part of yourself.  When you wake up in that deep place and do not let outside thoughts deter you, you can become sensitive.  When your spirit is concentrated, everything will be opened up.

Therefore, cultivating one's mind and prayer are necessary.

Just offering your devotion once is not the true way.  You should pray and sincerely devote yourself everyday - constantly devote yourself.  Even a good knife must constantly be sharpened or what will happen?  Just as you must always keep a knife sharp, you must keep yourself sharpened when you are upset or become angry.  This is the problem.  You must be able to grab and hold this calm place in your mind.

Again, we must determine our direction and should not have aimless thinking or start frivolous relationships which can hinder our path forward.  Catch this sense of direction and centered on this, follow that direction.  There is only one direction to follow.

Thus, you should always be prepared for this eventuality and maintain yourself properly.  Create a driving force that can support your goal every day.

You will not be able to do this alone.

At the age of 18 you were able to find out who your inner man was and it is easy to become subconscious about yourself.  For this, you need the strength of friends, teacher or the power of God to make it through these revelations of yourself.


"I am also very serious when I am about to carry out a global project that goes beyond my ability. When greater ability is required in order to do something, the problem is where to get this from. If I cannot bring it, I have to retreat -- but I cannot do that.

Therefore, prayer is needed. We need God. We need the world of heart. The world of love is endless, no matter how much you may draw upon it.

The world of material will end - the worlds of knowledge and power will perish, but the world of heart continues forever. 

Therefore, you have to do things centering on the world of heart.

When you go into the center of the world of heart, the world of heart is moving up and down automatically, like someone breathing.

Did you know that the earth is also breathing?

The earth is breathing in and out so that the diameter of the earth is expanded up to almost one meter. Through that, the earth is adjusted. The spherical shape of the earth is maintained. For this reason, the world of heart moves up and down centering on an axis. It is moving.

Every existing thing therefore forms an oval shape. Do you understand? Thus, you go into the very center of the mind and heart. Infinite power is transmitted from there. So, if you make an angle of exactly 90 degrees, infinite power will flow through that right angle.

Therefore, you should go out and cultivate your spiritual aspect. By devoting yourself you will experience the deep spiritual dimension in all aspects of life. Why? Because you need a source from which to gain an infinite driving force throughout your entire life.

By offering sincere devotions, you can find the way in which you should go, as it is within your original mind.


Hone Talents and Gifts

If you have an artistic disposition, the image of objects should float before your eyes like the reflection in a mirror. Do you understand? The picture is already created in your mind. This is a talent you were born with. You should therefore follow the direction that your talents indicate. If you ignore your innate gifts, everything will fail. It's serious, isn't it?

Hyo Jin (Father Moons eldest son) says to me, "Dad? It's strange, but I am hearing music at three o'clock in the morning." He was born with such a gift. In the same way, everybody has a talent in some field. These gifts are innate. As you were born with such gifts on a good foundation, then if you use them limitlessly they will infinitely develop.

It was the same with Ye Jin (his daughter) when she was a child. During her school days she would say, "Dad, it's strange." What was strange was that when a fellow student lost something she would come and ask Ye Jin to tell her where it was. Then, Ye Jin would tell her where it was in her house, and she would go home and find it there. Can that be explained? She always knew.

Among our own children, Eun Jin also has spiritual ability. She said, "Mom? I was just about to go somewhere, but my mind kept telling me to go back. Why is this?" Someone is giving her this information, teaching her, "This person you are to meet is no good."

She receives this spiritually. Some kind of magnetic activity is occurring. You have such ability within yourself, but if you are not perceptive or sensitive to its direction problems will result.

Ye Jin, In Jin, or Eun Jin might say, "Dad? It's strange; someone's going to make a mistake." They said that they had a bad feeling. They knew it through a premonition. When they planned to go somewhere, they already knew intuitively whether it would be good or not.

When the person with whom you have made an appointment to meet seems to be bad person, you should certainly either go late or early. Before going there, you have to fight spiritually. Then, you can avoid a bad situation and control it. Therefore, a life based on the path of truth is very important. Because you have control over such things, you can evoke the self-control that can prevent and avoid bad fortune." SMM




5) The Life of the Original Mind



"I was already serious at the age of 16. Although I might have made a plan to go somewhere, sometimes I did not actually go if I felt I should not. If I were to have gone, an accident would surely have occurred. It is also the same today. For this reason, I could survive until now in this world which is full of many enemies.

Do you know how many people have been trying to kill me?

You have to think about that. The greater a person becomes the greater the difficulties become. I must discern the way to go to overcome those difficulties. If someone says, 'Teacher? Something terrible has happened'?

I already know about it. If they say, "A problem has occurred," I already know. Without such ability, you cannot be a great leader in the future. To do so, you have to think in three dimensions rather than just two. A two-dimensional plane can be projected infinitely into a three-dimensional space.

No matter how great a person may be, if he is not conscientious and comes in front of me, he will be completely overwhelmed as a result. No explanation is necessary; as his mind becomes absorbed and completely overwhelmed, he will take his proper position in front of me.

His mind already knows Reverend Moon. You don't know Reverend Moon, do you? Do you really know Reverend Moon? You may think that I am just the person who blessed your father and mother. However, Reverend Moon is not merely that person. Out of billions of people in the world, the most famous name historically speaking is none other than Reverend Moon.

Did you know that?

Of course, you need the abilities that knowledge gives you, but first of all your spirit has to grow up because both the spirit world and the world to come are worlds of truth. We have entered an era in which the computer can completely anticipate the destiny of human life. You have to surpass the computer in intuition and sensitivity.

I was a famous teacher even in Sunday school. I was already famous from that time. When I stood on the platform before Sunday school students for the first time and wept with God's heart, everyone was crying. I had already reached such a stage.

I do not like to read novels. If I decided to write a novel, it would be better than other novels. If I tell a story somewhere, such as in a prison, it will be long enough to make into a long novel. This is because I can see the content of the story spiritually as I tell it.

If the sound of a flute is heard coming from afar, as I tune my mind with the sound, my environment can be harmonized with me.

From a young age, I used to give sermons even while sleeping. Also during my Sunday school days. Sometimes, I would suddenly wake up during my sleep because of the sound of my sermon. At that time, I already knew that I would teach and lead many people on behalf of Heaven in the future.

Whenever I was passing by a church, I would have the desire to go in even if it was just to eat lunch. I wanted to go to the very top of the pulpit and eat there. It was as if my mind already anticipated the future." SMM

  
6) Your Mind is the Closest Teacher

Have you thought that for Adam there was not a teacher to teach him about his future path as the first parent?  There were only the angels of the spirit realm.  The path to return our fallen history toward the original Garden of Eden through salvation and the work of restoration, no one can skip this path.  This is the parent's position.

We are told of the fallen realm of angels whose left their original position who were to save and help Adam and Eve and their descendants.  Because of this, they are not permitted to help the Messiah and instead take advantage and do as they wish.  During this process no one can be trusted, even God cannot treat him normally before he passed certain tests.

Because human beings turned their backs on God, in order for God to believe in humankind, He must also do the same to humankind.

Don't you think that after the fall of the first humans in which he created with His spirit and had an environment to believe in freely, that he could not assume thereafter that He would find one trustworthy soul in the faithless, fallen world?

In order to reach the position where God can trust you, you have to pass through all kinds of tests. I had gone through a series of tests in order reach this position. Because I do not talk about these tests, nobody knows their content. I will not speak about those miserable tests because I do not want them to be recorded.

In order to reach a standard where God can trust you, you have to go through the valley of many kinds of tests.  The Messiah himself went through a series of tests even though he carried God's original bloodline.  These miserable tests should not be recorded or spoken about because such stories should not have existed in the Garden of Eden.

The Messiah has the heart only to pass on the good stories to the next generation that would have existed in the original world.  The bad things of the past are buried within him and digested and leave only the good things behind for the next generation.

"If possible, therefore, I try not to speak about such things as my time in prison. There would be many people who would weep loudly were I to speak about the suffering life of prison. If I spoke about my suffering in prison, people may be shocked emotionally, of course, and may make a new resolution, but that is not what I want. People must make such new determinations according to reasonable principles.

You have to make a determination based on truth rather than on hearing about a shocking situation. You should not decide according to someone else's strong demand, but by your own desire to do so. If you encounter the truth, your mind will be naturally moved."

Therefore, your closest teacher is your mind, and it is more precious than your most intimate friend, your mother, or your father. 

You should be able to consult with your mind where God dwells.  You should be able to reach the point where you are able to listen to the sound of your mind.  Buddha said, ;There is only one person on earth and in heaven.'  Buddhism speaks about reaching self-enlightenment.  If you ask yourself, you can know that God exists within you.  Then there is nothing you cannot accomplish that 'you put your mind to it'.

Your mind is better than a teacher, therefore you should enlighten your mind.  Your mind is your eternal lord.  Therefore, your mind should not be self-centered or selfish, but one that is centered on a public position.



7) A Lifestyle that Resembles the Heart

A person who has a true heart of love, their heart strives endlessly to sacrifice and yield.  It is a heart that tries to give and give again.  A person with such a heart, even if they had 100 million dollars to give out to everyone on the street, they would not be satisfied with giving so little.  They would feel sorry that they could not help all the people of the world.  The heart of love is endless.

Thus, we could never measure the amount of God's heart.  How huge and deep His heart is!  Therefore, people should not be proud of themselves no matter how much they have accomplished.  If you ask your mind it would say, "You should have done more".

People of the secular world seek for recognition and praise.  The mind on the other hand is not like that.  When people yearn to be recognized, then the moment they are recognized everything ends.  Their goal is finished, so when they try to go to the next level, they will face many obstacles.

Why are there so many obstacles?  Because if you are often seeking praise outside yourself, you will come to like this position.  The mind seeks the path of the cross, of suffering.  If you become accustomed to being respected you will have no desire to bear a painful cross.  However, in order to go to the second stage, you must bear the cross.  To bear the cross is a difficult path and our bodies do not want to go in this way opposite of comfort.

Up until the age of thirty, therefore, I always felt hungry. I felt hungry every day. Though I sympathized with hungry people, however, I had to praise that time of hunger. That was a serious time. It was not because of a lack of rice. I went such a difficult way intentionally.

Rev. Sun Myung Moon continues to speak about such suffering he endured with his own cross as the Messiah:

"People who have not fulfilled their responsibility yet cannot take a spoon and eat as they wish. I did not sleep freely before I completed everything, which had to be prepared. In such a miserable situation I could not find room to enjoy time comfortably, because my mind pushed me to do more.

People like myself cannot take a daytime nap. No matter how tired I feel, I cannot take a nap. True Mother told me to sleep more because of my exhaustion, but I could only sleep one or two hours last night.

My mind does not permit me to sleep well. You could say that I am old now and the time has come to take a rest, but I cannot rest. Even though I am growing old, I have to do more than young people do. Because the problems become bigger and bigger, I have to do more and more.

I cannot hand my work over to anybody else.

I will give instructions about everything. I do not give instructions for the sake of it; there is always a spiritual basis to my instructions. Do you understand?

As I proceed with my work, my heart likewise teaches me, through myself, the way to go. My heart already knows it. I might just glance at somebody, but I already know what kind of person he is.

The closest teacher is therefore the heart. So do not let your heart be disturbed.

Do not become troubled. If you trouble your heart, it will make God and me sad. Your heart is the lord in your life. Thus, to make the heart sorrowful is similar to making the lord of your life sorrowful. You should go the way that can make your heart joyful.

When I attended middle school, I cleaned the entire area of the school by myself. Because I wanted to love my school more than any other student, I cleaned the school with the mind to clean on behalf of all the students. In this situation, I didn't want to get other people's help. I wanted to do it alone. I wanted to do it properly.

I therefore sometimes happened to clean somewhere that had already been done. Because I continued to clean all areas, my friends handed over everything to me. My friends said, 'We'd like to do it this way, but because you always do it that way, why don't you do it yourself?' Therefore, in the end, I naturally came to the point of doing it all.

Cleaning time is a good time to enjoy the company of one's mind. To secular people it seems a solitary situation, but it is time to become friends with your mind. After you have done that, sit down and try to meditate; enter the realm of deep prayer and of great depth that others do not know.

When you go to a theater, you may say that the theater is good when it is the theater building that looks good. No matter how good the building is, however, if the play is not interesting you cannot say that the theater is good. The important thing is how much everyone becomes one centering on the play. The depth of a person's character depends on that. The question is to what extent you are leading a life that resembles the heart and is expanding its scope."
